In Indonesia, the majority is Islam and commonly the declaration (Fatwa) by MUI will be followed by most People (Islamic). However, related tot his declaration about crypto is haram, it is still debatable.
And as far as I know, the declaration of haram was not made or stated by central MUI, but the branch of it, that is located in one of the provinces in my country.
There are some points why this declaration to be haram:
1. Crypto cannot be a currency
Yes, exactly, in Indonesia itself, crypto is only legal as a commodity asset and not legal as a currency as stated in one of the rules here under Bappebti.
And about the disadvantages of the crypto that is considered very high (based on their assumption) may refer to certain shitcoins (moreover crypto that has no underlying, value, and also requiring pump and dump.

However, if this is about at our own risk to use crypto for investment and trading.
For me myself, as one of the people in the religion, I am still dong this, trading and also investing crypto, as far I use it not for a currency (because this is exactly illegal in my country), and also I must be aware of not trading and investing in shitcoins or hype coins that are very risky like gambling.

It seems like that in this period, the bullrun doesn't happen in very skyrocket very quickly. But there are some steps of the bullish era for Bitcoin and also altcoins. Sometimes, there are still some market corrections in order to rise up higher again. But the rise may not as high as previous in 2017. And let's see whether the altcoin season will really happen in the end of this year like the previous bullish in 2017 or will start at the beginning of the next year.

Every investment will always involve risks and one of the most common risks that happen is this scam. Many scam projects are always coming up in order to scam and deceive people commonly with greediness and newbies to be trapped in the scam circle.
Btw, we cannot stop scam projects because this may be one of the most alluring and worthy world done by those scammers or robbers in this case.
We cannot control the people n the world to do or not do something moreover in this crypto world, there is no organization or specific rules about this.
But, we can avoid being scammed y being more and more careful, smarter, and also not hyped from new projects or investment that seem very worthy over and over

These positive impacts and also development may only happen to certain people who do really utilize gambling as one of the fun activities, earning money, and also professionals. However, it may not happen to certain addicted people who only love gambling, gambling and gambling without considering the risk and also the benefits.

Well, most people really get these benefits. Moreover they can really manage good funds to spend and also the most important thing is to control their self emotions when gambling. Because gambling is a  a very addicting activity so that if we are really desired to gambling, we may be really pulled to this world and forget our control.

And other positive side is related to income. Many gamblers can earn money so much from gambling and this may help many people moreover during this pandemic

I also have plans to sell al my BTC and Alts. Btc at least on December. And for Altcoins, I will see whether the altcoin season will also happen on December or even on the beginning of the next year.
For me, I need to cash out some because I need caah to do something in real life. And of course, at leaat have some balances to lrepare for thw next bear market.

I will not think that they are good for long-term investment. I will prefer both for ut8ilizing the dump and pump in short term and take profits shortly.

but for me, this is very risky and I prefer to other top coins like BTC, ETH, and BNB. And other altcoins are for short trading taking profits.

It is not about paranoia, it is about carefulness and also take the responsibility for our own assets.
You may talk about that so easily, but it will be different from other people's cosniderations.
Crypto is technology, every wallet will have the risks, whether hot or cold wallets. But what we can pick here is how high the risks are.
So far, online wallet or wallet on exchanges, platforms, and similar others will have risker than in hardware or cold wallet.
If we only have little amount of BTC, we may consider only put it in software wallet, electrum or even in exchange wallets. Moreover, if we are trading them.

however as other said, we talk about long term investment, mmany amount of BTC,a nd others.
So, if we think that cold or hardware wallet is better and less risks, why should be said as paranoid?

Bitcoin cannot be regulated and no countries may be able to do this.
But, each country can make certain regulations related to Bitcoin. For example by making new rules when going to invest in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency, making some new taxes or higher taxes, banning Bitcoin, legalizing Bitcoin, and some others.
And some countries may also create some limitations in order that their citizens will not be involved again to Bitcoin, or reduce the involvement to Bitcoin such as making more strict regulations to the selling or trading of Bitcoin, exchanges, certain crypto platforms, and some others.

but with those, all limitations and regulations to the people, will it mean to regulate Bitcoin? No.
