3201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin crossed Tencent's marketcap on: February 19, 2021, 01:03:44 PM
And we are only just getting started (and it will be a true saying for many years to come hopefully!).

And if you think about things like Tencent and other stocks, they will not be around maybe for 50 years while we all know Bitcoin is strong enough to be here for 100 years.
3202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 19, 2021, 11:51:50 AM
I don't also give any chance for Manchester Utd to pay Pogba's astronomical release clause. They are thinking Valverde for Pogba's place but it is still not clear if Pogba will leave the club this summer or not. Pogba's market value is €65m now which is €70m for Valverde. When it comes to a swap between Pogba and Valverde, I know that Real Madrid are very interested in Pogba and it makes the possibility of a swap higher.

I thought Pogba was returning to Juventus? Or maybe Pirlo feels he will not be able to control so many big personalities at the club as he seems to have trouble right now dealing with them already,,,

Whatever it is. I wish for United to spend ALL their money;)

3204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motley Fool adds Bitcoin to model portfolio *and* buys some too on: February 19, 2021, 09:09:13 AM
Never knew about Motley Fool until now. So they are supposedly very conservative in the United Kingdom I see,,, good sign they are finally buying Bitcoin then? Maybe this is the start of the new wave of former critics turns Bitcoin lovers;) What a time to be holding Bitcoin right guys?
3205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: if the bear market starts next month on: February 18, 2021, 02:26:29 PM
It's difficult to picture BTC dropping so fast to $20k because of the number of institutions investing in it. However, just in case the bear market starts, altcoins with high market value such as ETH, BNB, DOT, and a lot more might not drop to their lowest point. Especially BNB which I think has a lot of supporters since it has a lot of use case and benefits for holding.

Really? 20k drop is only 60% drop and we all know that number is so easy to happen in crypto. Elon Musk pumped Bitcoin by 20% in two days, it is much easier for fear and FUD to drop that same amount and trigger a chain reaction in weak hands.

Remember we saw a drop to 3k in March last year,,, and that just took a bad oil and stock markets crash to trigger!
3206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 100 dollar gains? on: February 18, 2021, 12:38:46 PM
Answer by BitMaxz is already complete but allow me to make a comment.

When you trade, regardless of what it is stocks or assets or crypto. You don't look at your $100 anymore. You have EXCHANGED it for the asset/stock/product.

So if that thing you buy increases in price, you make a profit, and the other way around.

But because exchanges have spreads and fees, you actually make a loss as soon as you exchange (you always buy for more than actual price and sell for less than because of spread). So you have to calculate spread, plus fees, and that is you starting loss.
3207  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best crypto casino right now according to the community on: February 18, 2021, 12:06:54 PM
I have read some bad reviews about a few of those names but personal experience I only play at some of them and myself never got a bad experience unlike others.

My vote is Sportsbet for sportsbetting,,, and may I of course suggest Yolodice, for pure dice games in 4 different crypto (with an option to invest in the public bankroll). It has the simplest design for dice, but makes it very focused on just autodicing and wagering contests with chance to hit Jackpot. Disclaimer: I do carry their signature but very proud to do so:)
3208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 18, 2021, 10:37:14 AM
Damn, these Champions league games cost me too much money... Both games ended with unexpected results.
Sorry about that, big games, big wins and loses too. The UCL is always an anticipated watch and bet game and as such, it's always a high stake game as its a league for champions but then, Juventus didn't have a good game this evening. Funny how they let Porto beat them so easily! At least they got an way go which is very vital and would help them to plan for the 2nd league with the mindset of not conceiving and at least winning Porto by 2-0 to advance in the league.
Dortmund had a good game, taking the steps of Liverpool, after doing badly in there league games, they work out there best with the UCL. Good for them.

I did not place bets because the odds were not so good but it seems we all missed Porto winning. Juventus clues were there already with the way they were winning by luck in Serie A and Ronaldo magic did not show up. My team is in Europa now so there is where I bet tonight (SPURS!).

Good for Dortmund too, but pity about Sevilla as well,,, no bad teams left in last 16 I have to say.
3209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ?? on: February 18, 2021, 10:06:46 AM
25 years of internet and people still do not even know how to read things from search engines to find out if what they are about to say is true. But I feel happy every time someone says something like this about BTC,,, makes them not buy it, makes others not buy it, makes it longer to reach mainstream adoption. Good for accumulating hodlers like me:)
3210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 18, 2021, 08:47:43 AM
@ILuckyGuyI even I have been reading about this transfer, and it’s being speculated that Manchester United will propose a swap deal for him and Pogba. However if that swap deal fails, then I don’t expect Manchester United to pay his release clause which is around £148m.

Yes, United. Keep buying up all these players. I really hope they find a way to break the bank and make new signing records because the more the merrier, and the bigger their debt:P

Obviously I am not a United fan here but seems as if they never learn they lesson not to splurge.
3211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If bitcoin surpasses the $60K level then it will hit higher than $100K on: February 18, 2021, 08:09:54 AM
Still curious about why 60k and not 50k,,, it doesn't make much sense to me in a logic perspective because 50k is a lot more psychologically stable than 60k. Or is it because 100k means 50k has to go up 100% while for 60k it's just a 66% increase?

Keep buying. We'll see 55k on the weekend for sure!
3212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 18, 2021, 06:49:23 AM
Agree with hd49728 about Haaland, with UCL his playground as usual, wish I picked him for my selection in fantasy football, seems I missed out on both him and Mbappe,,, which was a big overlooking but ah well, we still have a serious situation for both teams but now Sevilla must find a way to score two goals in other leg!
3213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron is an outdated coin on: February 17, 2021, 06:47:56 PM
Tron is very well known from Justin Sun. He was promoting Tron very hard and always compared it to Ethereum.

But he failed completely and his Tron coin was never a danger for Ethereum because Tron was a very bad and not innovative coin. It was based on old and outdated tech but Justin Sun did huge marketing. Tron will be very likely dead soon and people holding Tron will make huge losses.
Justin Sun is guilty here because he has promised a good coin but could never deliever.

It was not so much that it was bad or not innovative to be fair,,, it was just probably the way he marketed it that did not sit right with a lot of original crypto people. Especially all the money he spent for partnerships instead of just actually building things that were useful to use.

ETH still has the best smart contract devs, lets face it:)
3214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic II on: February 17, 2021, 05:30:59 PM
That's a normal scenario if there's a breakout or a new all time high, and panicking is normal to those with weak hands and to some that wants to take profit. We can expect a big correction after trying to go beyond $50k, stay compose and don't panic if you see the price of $38k in the coming weeks.  Smiley

I do not think these socalled weak hands are the same people selling to take profit. I think some traders are trying to be smart and call the top near 100k, but they will sell at every landmark point, knowing the retracement will allow them back in at a few percents.

Dangerous game to play though if the corrections never happen and they miss out on big run!
3215  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't buy what you can't hodl. on: February 17, 2021, 03:23:10 PM
Prepare a reserve fund to anticipate these losses, so that later there will be funds to get a return on investment. The reserve fund is very necessary to meet unexpected needs or risks. It takes patience and endurance, because with what we know a currency will rise later, especially the currency that we predict will profit and it is possible to decline according to the conditions.

Or just invest what you can afford to lose and hodl? I mean,,, reserve funds and anticipation are great but we all know we are at best amateur traders and investors. If you believe in the network, then you know long term is the only thing that matters.

Altcoin investments? Who has time for that?
3216  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My 13.02 BTC and 157 ETH complaint against Stake.com on: February 17, 2021, 02:00:05 PM
Fair points on both sides, but I think the laws in developed countries would simply ask that the casino enforce the "permanent" ban. It is the right of the gambler to ask for this,,, and if he had bypassed by making another account then it would be on him. I think it is just a issue of ethicality that casinos are not allowed to take advantage of people with gambling problems.

I agree on one hand it is an individual problem but if the individual has come forth to say he has this problem,,, then the casino must do its part to help the individual. Sad case always and I do not think anybody is wrong here.

This is not a 13 BTC complaint however. It is a complaint on enforcement of ban situation.
3217  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW CRYPTOCURRENCY CASINO WITH LOW HOUSE EDGE on: February 17, 2021, 01:05:32 PM
By low house edge you seem to mean "standard" house edge.

1% for dice is the accepted norm when it comes to crypto dice,,, and some sites allow for even less with things like cashback or lossback or wagering bonuses (effectively giving back some of the edge).

Not to put you down,,, just to say;)
3218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If bitcoin surpasses the $60K level then it will hit higher than $100K on: February 17, 2021, 07:45:40 AM
Right now we are above 50k, and not like yesterday when it touched for a flash, now it is just climbing higher and higher. I would think that it would be 50k that triggers a new high but why 60k and not 75k which is the more psychologically cooler milestone?Smiley

Anyway people, do enjoy this!
3219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: February 17, 2021, 07:03:52 AM
It's still about adjustments, because if we don't take that into consideration it's very likely we'll just spend a lot of money just to pay fees. This will at least make us switch to other cryptos but it also does not rule out the possibility to keep using BTC because it is an option, and furthermore about the gameplay it will remain the same, which becomes different is the number of coins used considering the increased price of course adjustments will be made.

I used to not really adjust,,,, but this was when the price was below $10k range. This was because in my mind I always just rounded up to $10k even though it was not really.

But once price went to 20k and more,,, yes for sure I started thinking different. $1 bets are now $5 and every time I get BTC now it becomes smaller in units so naturally my bets also become smaller.

But does not change gameplay at all:)
3220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 17, 2021, 05:32:52 AM
So despite all the drama, and all the bookies backing Barcelona based on form, they got thrashed. At home too. Coronavirus season is really wreaking havoc on all team records!

Watched some highlights but not very clear the ones I could find. Seems like PSG really pulled out Poch magic. Man I miss him at Spurs:)
