3201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 05, 2022, 09:22:48 PM
Quote
DK Yoo, who boasts over 600,000 Youtube subscribers, was involved in the unusual virtual staredown with the 'PacMan' in Thursday's press conference in Los Angeles.

600k isn't that much. Women who stream their showers and baths get more.  Grin

Lol, but in the grand scheme of it all, that is still a huge numbers and maybe he also has non South Korean subs.

This guy must be really popular in Asia because I've never even heard his name before reading the fight announcement and I'm interested in contact sports. I'm not a real fan but I tend to watch MMA and boxing matches and I've never even heard of this guy. Manny must be getting paid a lot to fight with this youtuber because it's a legend going against someone who was never a champ in any division of any sport. I feel like Manny facing a former kickboxing champ like Tate would be in the news everywhere and a youtuber that isn't even at the level of Jake Paul? Nah...

Probably in his native country he is very popular, and we just know don't how everything started, who contacted who, but obviously, DK Yoo has a lot of connections to be able to get to Manny and making him to agree and fight him. Probably there is money involved, but as the news say, majority of the proceeds will go to good cause.

I've checked him out and he claims to be a master in a number of styles but people say he's lying. He knows many styles but isn't a real master in any of them.
I wouldn't fight him in Manny's place.

There's a lot of this so called master who claim that and challenge MMA fighters. But in the end, usually this master are getting knock out, hehehe.
3202  Other / Meta / Re: Cryptocurrency Casinos Are Ruling The Signature Campaign Here In Bitcointalk on: November 05, 2022, 09:08:03 PM
Do you think that this trend will go on for many years?
Will Bitcointalk become known as a gambling forum?
Will the days of the altcoins signature campaign return in the future?

As far as altcoin signature campaigns, obviously they have their own board and probably most of us are not familiar sign we prefer Bitcoin paying campaigns. But I don't think that this community will be known as gambling forum per se. It is still known as "Bitcointalk", meaning everything under bitcoin could be discussed here.

And this has been the trend for most bitcoin paying campaigns, majority of them are into gambling, even before majority of us who joined here, circa < 2017.
3203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 05, 2022, 01:22:52 PM
Forget about the Irving controversy.

let's talk about the games last night, Warriors again lose their game, they are in a cold streak now and I don't know when it will stop. It seems like their struggle is really serious because most of the losses are not even close. By the way, Jazz bounce back again by beating the Lakers, and Blazers upset the Suns at home, that's without their best player Lillard.

Yeah, I stir away from Warriors right now, 2 loses and I'm done with them. Unless they win maybe I will put a bet.

Yes, good games by the Blazers and the Suns, I haven't seen the whole game, but when I check the score, it was the Suns leading and I thought that they are going to win. But then the Blazers executed a perfect inbound pass, and then Jeremi Grant hit the winner in front of the Suns bench, that's really dagger.

Good win by the Jazz to snap the Lakers 2 game winning run.
3204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 05, 2022, 12:57:16 PM
Cavs as well is a big surprised this season so I will go with them tonight against the struggling Pistons.

So on top of the East is the Bucks, but it seems that the Cavs are just ride behind. Although there are reports that Garland and Mitchell might be injured, but I think both of the mare going to play so -5.5 for them against the Pistons. Looking also at the Bucks as well, -3.5 is not that bad and maybe Giannis with another monster game.

I'm actually going the other way on the Bucks game.  Timberwolves are getting points at home and they match up well defensively against giannis and crew.  Taking Minnesota here.  Also taking the Warriors getting 11 points.  I can't see them losing in a blow out.  I know it's a 2nd night of a back to back but double digits might be too much here.

Good luck everyone!

Cavs easily covered the handicap against Detroit, 112-88,

Same with Milwaukee, they have a huge win against the Wolves, and again, plenty to spare as it ended 115-102. Jrue Holiday has a monster game same with Giannis. The Wolves are lead by KAT and Anthony Edwards, but only Jaylen Noell score in double figures.
3205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 05, 2022, 12:14:44 PM

No need to worry as PBA commissioner will always be there to save refs ass. If there's any investigation, I'm pretty sure it will be quick to forget, Com. Marcial can't do anything against MVP's group of company, we know that right?

They will not do anything if the order is coming from them to rig the game. PBA is known to be a rigged basketball league so it's not surprising to see a ref trying to favor a certain team to win, whether it's Pangilinan or Cojuangco's team, it doesn't matter as long as the order is coming from above.

Yes, this is one reason that I don't watch the PBA to be honest in the last couple of years, on the Pangilinans and Cojuangcos are always in the finals. And most of the time they are giving favors by the refs and even the commissioner himself. Gone are the days wherein it was really that competitive and players are really literally go and kill themselves inside the court just to get a win (yeah, maybe I'm absurd, but you know what I mean). Or maybe I really old school and have seen the early years of the PBA and now I can't understand how the league turn out to be like this.
3206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Ever Reach $100k? on: November 05, 2022, 11:45:04 AM
We deserve to be optimistic that the price of Bitcoin has returned to the level of $ 20K even today the market rises more than 6% and now around $ 21600, hopefully the price will continue to rise and next year can reach $ 100K, now a good opportunity to continue to invest so that we get profit large when the price reaches $ 100K.

Next year? No, I don't see the price going $100k yet, we might see it though when we hit the bull run and most likely it will be in 2024 after the halving and will go and continue till 2025, at least that's what history tells us.

So still a lot of time from today to the block halving. And with that, a lot of time as well on our side to continue and accumulate while the price is still cheap at $20k, $30k or even at $50k. And just HODL on it and wait till the right time to sell and get our profits.
3207  Local / Pamilihan / Re: cash out crypto to PHP CASH on: November 05, 2022, 11:10:07 AM
There are cashout services available in some areas but I think it’s only available to PINOY.
The best way to deal with this is by P2P, and just use your Philippines bank to receive the peso amount.

I just want to remind everyone here to stay cautious and avoid dealing sa mga ganitong services, most probably makikisuyo sila to transact and use your bank or even your gcash, marame na nabiktima ng ganito sa pagkakatanda ko, kaya magingat tayo.

3208  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast will Bitcoin fall down? on: November 04, 2022, 11:51:15 PM
Hi. I'm a newbie and I'm just learning about this topic. There are many questions that I would like to understand, maybe this one has already been discussed, but I didn't find the thread, sorry. How reliable is Bitcoin, what will it be if someone will generate a new blockchain or another digital currency, will it make bitcoin fall down, and how fast?

No, bitcoin is too big to fall at this point. And you give you a history, back in 2017, there were attempts to topple bitcoin at top by Ethereum backers and they call it "the Flippening", and then it followed by Ripple, "the Rippening", again it failed. And as far as I know, that the only time that Bitcoin has been threaten, nevertheless it still got the support and the consensus of the community. So much more that we went as high as $69k at the latest all time high while other altcoin who challenge it remain less than $10k.
3209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Instagram supports Polygon for NFT use. on: November 04, 2022, 11:27:09 PM
I'm just thinking though, what will happen if the whole NFT hype suddenly fizzle out in the next couple of years?

Anyhow, we will see how it goes, no doubt that Poly is one of the most trusted project as far as NFT is concern so this is a good choice for Instagram.

I myself uses Insta, but not not into the mode of monetizing it, just a regular user of this platform. But for those who are using it to monetized, for sure there will be a lot of adjustment specially for non crypto but who knows, they could be swayed to join the whole NFT craze.
3210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: November 04, 2022, 11:01:03 PM
It's indeed very disappointing to see Crawford-Spence not pushed through when the timing is perfect, where both still in their prime, and both undefeated and very skilled fighters.

I understand the frustration but surely, after dealing successfully with their respective match, the talks about the possibility of them facing each other will resume next year. It's good that both camps know the problem of why the negotiation failed and they surely will address it in their next talks.

However, there's recent news that Spence might move up to 154 lbs and vacate his title. If this happened, then the unification fight between Crawford and Spence won't happen anymore unless they will meet again on the top of 154 lbs which I think there's only a slight chance of happening given their age.

i believe the disappointment was similar when mayweather-pacquiao didn't fight when they were both at their prime. but if spence and crawford will go separate ways, then, we don't know if they will still cross paths in the future. we will see by next year if this anticipated match will still have the chance.
if both are winning with their chosen opponents, and their respective promoters are seeing the demand and possible huge payout of their career, i believe, their match will still happen.

Just for the record, Crawford is not tied to any promoters or networks, so it's easy for him to make any fight including this one. And that is one reason whey we are all baffled by the fight not happening because that is one sticking point before. Is that his promoter that time, TR, doesn't want to work with Al Haymon and PBC. But that stumbling block has been removed by Crawford and yet the fight is still not happening and negotiations didn't materialized.

Not anymore because Crawford has come out of the shadow and talked raw information regarding the unification fight cancelled, I used the term cancelled because Crawford now is taking a different route from what we're expecting, they haven't officially announced the cancellation but that's what we've got so far. So anyway, Crawford now revealed that Al Haymon is one of the big reasons why the fight didn't materialize.

Yes, Al Haymon never give him the chance to say the least and he wanted to have full control of the fight from the beginning and even threaten that they can go out and have fight for Spence for someone and still get 10 figures.

Anyhow, he said that he move forward, choosen a dangerous fighter that can bang and give fight fans a good fight and at the same time, Crawford will show his skills against a puncher.
3211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: November 04, 2022, 10:47:39 PM
Well the statement link by @JollyGood shows that Usyk is very much interested on a unification fight. It's just that Fury is putting a lot of pressure on Usyk to have the fight made this year (just like what he is pushing for a Joshua All British fight as well).

If this is the case, since Usyk had a full 12 round fight against his previous opponent,  Fury is taking advantage of incomplete recuperation of Usyk, that way he will have an advantage in the fight.  I thought Usyk is evading Fury because Fury has better chance of winning.  So I was proven wrong since Usyk wanted the unification fight until he is fully recovered from his previous fight.

Right, it will really take months for Usyk to recover from that very physical fight against AJ. But what Fury do? rush Usyk for a fight this December and for sure sure Fury knows that it is not going to happen and then he make it looks like Usyk doesn't want to fight him and was "afraid".

And if Fury won comfortably against Chisora, not get damage that much, win in less than 10 rounds, then possible that he can be battle ready by March-April of next year for a mega fight with Usyk.
3212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 04, 2022, 10:30:13 PM
Warriors are playing in a relax mode right now and to be perfectly honest it has been not even 10 games since the season started. They are a great team, who happen to just not have the chemistry they so famously had so far. Klay is not doing as well as he used to but he is Klay and he will go nuclear when the time comes, Curry is still awesome, I think it’s all about who will be the third this year that is getting a bit of a trouble.

I disagree that they are playing relax, how can they do that when they are not winning? It's just a bad start for them, maybe the Klay and Booker trash talk and him getting booted out for the first time in his career has somewhat affected him negatively. So I think it will cause an alarm for now as they are losing to lower tier teams that years ago, they could blow up.

All those Draymond Green fights are because Green is no longer the third best player in the team and that causes a bit of a rift between younger players and Green and normally he should have been their leader and veteran help.

I think this is also one factor, specially outside the court and in the locker room. That issue could still be in the minds of some of their players specially new to the team.
3213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: November 04, 2022, 10:15:09 PM
Per article that I have read, Spence might fight Thurman and we all knew how dangerous Thurman is so let us wait and see if this negotiation will prosper.

That's also what I suspected, that he will go after Thurman because it's the next best thing for him as both are under the PBC banner. And it's really hard to see how the fight will prosper, because Crawford going public, he put Al Haymon in bad light.

Although it's no secret in the boxing industry that Haymon is one of the most powerful figure, you even don't see his face, unlike Bob Arum or Oscar Dela Hoya or Eddie Hearn. He just built his company in some other ways that's why he has total control of this fight and won't give a chance to those companies that Crawford mentioned.
3214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A new fan token to make your dreams come true! on: November 04, 2022, 09:59:34 PM
I'm sorry but I'm not going to support your project with the name attached to some serial killer. Yes, it's one of the most viewed tv shows in Netflix and obviously, you wanted to capitalized on its popularity.

Nevertheless, crypto investors are wise and very intelligent not to fall for this kind of trick. Even when the Queen died, many meme coins suddenly appear in her name and this and that.

Sorry to burst the bubble for you, you should have used your skills to create projects that are unique.
3215  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pump isn't coming sooner on: November 04, 2022, 09:45:18 PM
I find recent action good, dont know about calling it a pump but certainly its a time to be optimistic lest you miss a valid rally.  Theres no gain in refusing to believe the possibility for higher prices, even a 10k gain would be 50% from the lows and perfectly legitimate as a target.   I'd estimate 25k as reasonable but nobody can tell for sure.

Yeah, a good $25k estimate is not that bad, however, I'm still at fence at it. If we are going to hit it at around December, the rally this November should end up like in the $23k range. And I still believed that it could be a hard target for this month as the price could go on another sideways or the max that we can go is $21k and have a difficult entry to $22k. But let's see, if investors are going to be bullish then nobody can stop that run.
3216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you watching Online Gambling Streams? Short survey and discussion on: November 04, 2022, 09:35:24 PM
Why not? even in a landbase casino's we watch how those huge bettors play the game in the table with $2k minimum bet. So when we see it in those streamers, we are really that attracted to see if he is going to win big or go bust with his capital and how he can sustain that run of is.

Hopefully the OP can get back and fix the link and maybe some of us here are going to help him with answering those questions.
3217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 04, 2022, 09:19:47 PM
That decision win by Zurdo is really very attractive, hehehehe and it's huge.

But I think Bivol will be too wise and intelligent in this fight, and despite all the attributes of Ramirez, he can offset it with his movement. So maybe Zurdo will win some early rounds, but then when Bivol has fully adjusted, his game plan will be dart in and out and make Zurdo tired in the late rounds and then Bivol piling points in the championship round for a decision win.

Nung natambakan ng Golden State Warriors, ang odds yata sa Magic is parang @10. Iyong pre-game odds naman is @4.

Kaya handicap maganda parin.
3220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 04, 2022, 07:56:55 PM
Online casinos and sports betting platforms are big businesses like we all know, and currently considering the economic situation of things around the world many businesses are affected and have been taking measures to cut costs in terms of reducing staff, taking loans etc to still be able to sustain operations. How do you think online casinos and sports betting platforms are adjusting to manage the situation?

Business wise, I think everyone is doing good, at least those who are established already. Specially during the pandemic, everyone is just at home in the last couple of years so they are raking big money I assumed. Unlike the traditional and land base casinos who are force to go offline for months even years because of covid-19. So there could be growth in online as players around the world continue to gamble using fiat and crypto based platforms. And you can also observed that there are casinos that pop up during 2020 that still manages to stay in the game.
