i  i want to start a project  Mining  and i want to get 1 bitcoin per month

can you tell me what will i need and the hardware  i need

and how much power will  the device  will use in month

im  new in this

no I can not tell you with out more info from you.

What country are you in?
What is your power 120 volts or 240 volts?
How much noise can you stand?
Do you have power supplies on hand?

If you have no power supply you need to buy one.
If you have 120 volts the power supplies are restricted mostly to Atx  like an evga 1300 g2 which is decent runs many miners and costs 150 to 190 usd.

11 block week end  not bad.

170% luck for last 10 blocks

and 106.72% lifetime.

The numbers here on kano.is are simply phenomenal...I would have a hard time believing it if I had not been mining here myself with my own hardware.

what stuns me is about 100 blocks ago for this pool is I wrote the thread why aren't you mining here.

Luck was 104.22 % IIRC

So we have been on a 100 block hot streak  since we raised up from 104 to 106.

118% over the last 100 blocks  so anyone that read my thread saying mine here back then and moved

owes me a beer and a slice of pizza. Roll Eyes

not bad  tout of a pool

32025  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 21, 2016, 10:57:46 PM
I financed the whole thing (with low interest financing) so ROI is immediate. I actually am cash flow positive from day 1 with this size system using a 10yr low interest loan.

Not bad.  I will keep an eye out for avalon6's and s-7's on resales, but I really hope to get  some bitfuries.
32026  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3 x Avalon A6 , 1 x Spoondolies SP20E on: February 21, 2016, 10:23:12 PM
All are working. US shipment only. Og Nasty escrow.

1.18 BTC ea. for the A6's

0.33 BTC for the SP20E

Includes US shipping

Includes the serial daisy chain cable + "converter circuit"

I would take 1 avalon6

 I am in NJ 07731

I have coin in hand let me know.

also og n works for me as escrow.

pm has been sent.

I sent a PM too to him. Since the price was quite nice but he only ship to the US Sad

if you want we could buy them all between us.

send them to me and then I send 1 or 2 to you.

At op we will take  3 you  if you have them,

looks like I will take them for the solar array  2 and maybe 1 for HerbPean

Nice project, the problem of solar energy is always the battery cost, in your case you don't need that because your company buys back the excendent of kw. I would like this system for my country, here the legislation is against new technologies and clean energy the electric lobby is working hard against this system.

yeah USA is on a state to state basis.

NJ is for it as our location suffers from coal powered power plants.

If you look at NJ on the  maps

Highway 195 runs east to west across the state.

follow that  highway west  and 23 of the 40 worst polluting power plants (in usa) are directly on that line.

SO winds in USA blow west to east and most of the pollution travels from the midwest to the Atlantic Ocean, but when ever NJ gets Ocean breezes east to west all the coal pollution drops on us. So NJ tries to not have any dirty power plants within its borders. Thus better solar subsidies.

32029  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Why doesn't someone just design a miner, which will ROI and profit in a year? on: February 21, 2016, 01:12:29 PM
Why would you R&D something and then sell it for less money than it could earn if you just kept it yourself? It's no coincidence that mining hardware manufacturers choose the price point just above what the miner will earn in its useful lifetime. ASICminer were the first to sell to the public doing this and everyone else followed suit since it's such an ideal business model. Of course I've been warning people of this for years but people still don't see it...

Us donkey's like chasing the carrot.

Well, looks like I'll be hearing from cavalier about getting it fixed then, on account of he lives just up the road a ways.

yeah  I  noticed address was in the same state. LOL
32031  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: February 21, 2016, 05:30:21 AM
Or you could look into getting it repaired by the manufacturer. Damage by the customer isn't covered under warranty but I hear the repair rates are pretty reasonable.

thanks for the offer.  but you have a lot to do.

cavaliersrus   was first.

so I will send it to him on monday

aarons6 was second.  next one I kill i will send to you.

I had one yesterday that was giving me fits during final testing. It worked on my bench, but failed to submit shares after fully assembled and put on the test rig. So I took it back to my bench, popped the heatsink off and it lit right up. So I tried reflowing that pad with my iron and twice more it did the same thing - disconnected as soon as the top screw of the heatsink was tightened down. For reference, the output pin is on the top edge of the ASIC.

I will test with a fan and no heat sink

I'll have to try that on my 1 that does that also.

mine is dead.

so who wants a dead stick?

free usa only  i will spring for postage

and to others after looking closing at what i did I can see if you over tighten the bottom two screws with out keeping the top single screw equally tight.  it puts pressure on the bottom of the chip.

most likely I cracked a solder on the top of the chip.  with my double cataract surgery repaired eyes small close up work is hard for me.

I never was an ace  at solder now I am more like a three or a four.

Send a pm with a mailing address first one in gets it.

usa only.
32033  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: February 21, 2016, 04:20:34 AM
$500 price is definitely not far off considering we're at $440 now and were at $465 last month before Michael Hearn rocked the boat badly.  I would consider $500 the minimum BTC price after the halving to make sense to continue mining unless we get much cheaper miners per J/GH to compensate for the lower pay after the Halving.  This is taking the PUMP and DUMP to be expected with traders buying a ton before and selling it after the halving.   I did some selling just to see how the market is and not surprisingly the demand is still very strong.  I was able to sell 10 x S7 and 4 S3 and 1 Avalon 6 all in the same week.  This is on top of over $3000 worth of cabling, PDU and PSUs.   I would not consider buying Batch 11 or any other miners right now with the hope that you can break even as you would break even simply by not buying one to begin with.  This is a game of cost and the winner will be the one that can operate at the lowest cost or operate it as business where you can write off many things.  The rest is entirely up to Luck (Miner choice, pool luck, BTC prices, etc)

P.S Home Miners can turn their garage into a mining business and leverage all the benefits, so if you do it wisely, home mining is definitely not dead.  Just don't expect to win if you have high electricity prices.

If coins went to 525 over night and bitmaintech keeps price at 720 .  As angry as I am at them over batch one.
I would consider getting another s-7 for the solar array.

If the fuckers would have paid me for the low hashing s-7 I would not be writing this but I actually am thinking about getting one Sunday morning.
32034  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Miners and revenue on: February 21, 2016, 03:41:19 AM
The price will go up for bitcoin, and maybe (JUST MAYBE!) all the bitcoin you mine today with your ultra-super-inefficient s1s or s2s or even 3s and 5s will make you cash. One can only dream of the day this happens, but when it does, I will be swimming in bitcoin.
The value of bitcoin will be around 800-900$ is my guess. It could be much lower or higher, but i'll look at this thread in june and laugh at how off I was.

This does not compute on what your saying.  Your saying take a loss and run a miner at a loss.... in hopes of it being a gain one day.    It makes more sense to buy coins and leave the miner unplugged.  If your running at a loss on say a S1...   you might make money if you hold.

So that is before we take your speculation which is so far off in timeframe we cannot really have a good idea.  But I can tell you buy coins.... don't take a loss.  I have a policy of selling miners before I run  at a loss and buy coins.  Then eventually buy new miners if not right away buy new miners.  I don't understand run at a loss in hopes of gain.

Some mine to a btc addy.  They make untraceable  coins so mining works for them.

Does it initialize but the white light never once flashes? If so, it's a bad connection between the ASIC and PCB.

funny you should say that.

I had 13 working for months and months.

I decided to tighten the heat sink screws on all 13 of them .

Every screw got a bit loose so I was happy I decided to do this.

I now have 12 working I think I overtightened the heatsink on that one stick.

That stick now does exactly what you say  above.

32037  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 6 Red Lighting on: February 20, 2016, 10:43:39 PM
Hi I was hoping i might get a quick consult on my suddenly red lighting Avalon6

Not sure what's gone wrong but I've been monkeying with nearly a half dozen PSU's trying to get the voltage up from 11.5 - 11.7 and now I've tried all manner of combinations when finally after trying my one brand new corsair 1200AXi that I'd been using on one of my S7's finally I got the proper 12.0v and appropriate hashing speeds were achieved.

So after re-rigging everything with the other S7's I finally freed up the 1200AXi and now I'm hit with a blinking red light which I'm assuming is not a great thing to see cause it seems to be accompanied by a silence no familiar fan boot ups nothing just a series of flashing led's then solid red.

Do you have any suggestions?

you are over volting.  the gui number is .3 to .5 volts under real volts.

32038  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 20, 2016, 09:50:41 PM
Thanks for the reply, this is actually pretty interesting.

For instance electricity in residences here is typically 0.06$/kWh, which is rather profitable for mining. And industrial setups here can get a bit cheaper.
This means that with your solar setup, you're able to more or less sell its electricity at a rate close to what i would pay for mine.

This sound rather fantastic because if your setup last, you can simply stop mining and earn money back from the electricity company. 0.05$/kWh is pretty cool, even though they might make up to 0.1$/kWh profit on you.

Maybe you could connect your neighbors to you and sell at 0.1$/kWh yourself?

Nah they would regulate against it.

Kind of the same as having a tall tv antenna and letting your neighbors hook into it.  You need a license as they would say you are a cable provider.
32039  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 20, 2016, 08:59:29 PM
So for your setup, if you pay (i think you said) 0.13-0.17$/kWh, how much does the electric company pay you back for what you sell off to them? I assume they do it at profit?

oh yeah of course they do.   NJ rates in winter are 12.7-13 cents>   so when I/buysolar sells excess to power company I would get paid 5 cents.

So the spread is 13 to 5 in the winter  the spread is 17 to 5 in the summer.

This means a 60kwatt array can spend 16kwatts in house and sell  44kwatts.

16 x 13 = 208
44 x   5 = 220        winter mining  Oct 1 to Jun 1

13 x 17 =  221       summer mining Jun 1 to Oct 1
47 x 5  =   235

so when it gets dark  you buy back at  13 cents

when it is light you sell at                     5 cents

as you can see  you basically 0 out the power bill this way.

now 5 cent vs 13 cents seems really fucking unfair  but

the 13 cent number is really 9.9 cents + 3.1 cents.
9.9 cents is power cost   3.1 cents is transport cost.
So  the 3.1 number is the cost of wires/transformers/ required to get the power to you.

Remember these buy back rules are NJ,USA

It is different everywhere and some places pay  you  as low as 1 cent .

In the case of this setup.  The monthly power  bill after setup is close to  0 dollars.

Mining with avalon6s and s-7's  pays higher then 5 cents an hour  so it pays to mine rather then sell power back at 5 cents.

The beauty of this is if mining gets bad (under 5 cents) stop spending the 16kwatts on mining and just sell  the power.

So if the ½ ing fucks stuff up so what stop mining and sell power to the grid.

Very very awesome.  I wish I have some land in Massachusetts where my family live to do this.

The State is offering incredible incentives.

yeah some east coast states are very good.  NJ ,MA  a few more.
