I just bought this for $100. I now declare it's worth $500. This means I'm a brilliant businessman. -bm This is exactly what happened, and is still happening, with Bitcoin. Every single day, people pay $500 for something (1 BTC) that less than a year ago, everyone agreed was worth ~$100. Many assets appreciate and depreciate with time. Automobiles depreciate. Fiat scrip depreciates. Art appreciates. Cryptocurrency appreciates. That's what makes these things sound investments.

Please take a position on the Brock Pierce issue.

I agree the log chart is rubbish. The log chart is historical fact. The nice thing about mathematics, is that unlike some of the softer, pussy sciences, it leaves very little room for interpretation. Your opinion is irrelevant.

I honestly think we are almost priced in for a full out china ban. I tend to agree, not only that but Bitcoin is extremely unlikely to go below 400, if you study the 3yr logarithmic scale you'll see what I mean. Reality check: You know that chart is incorrectly scaled right? In what world is 50 the midpoint between 1 to 2,000? In the world of LOG-O-RHYTHMS, baby! Yeah, that's right! All kidding aside, for measurements covering many decades, logarithms are the only sensible approach. Indeed. All kidding aside, this is one of those awkward moments when some random internet tourist realizes they've entered a part of the internet full of people far more intelligent than him/herself. Cue righteous indignation... now.

Oh lord. Do people actually take this guy seriously? Just another shock jock like Alex Jones et al
I take Stefan Molyneux as seriously as a heart attack. He is a living sage of our time, although he's got it wrong to include capitalism in his vision. Start with this one, " Sunset of the State". I also highly recommend On Truth: The Tyranny of Illusion, if your mind is prepared. It's a whopping two hours and forty minutes. Empty your cup.

Perhaps Bitpay is intent on simply waiting for the inevitable logarithmic cycle to play itself out, and then claim credit for the boom?

Piracy was banned too. Ditto marijuana. And comic books. And pinball, the predecessor to video games. All demonized. All great. Time reveals the truth in all things. Time does not care which ideas are threatening to insignificant mortals such as we.

Gold still remains unbeatable
Until people realize Bitcoin is a superior store of wealth, and dump all their gold in favor of BTC. The value of gold will plummet whenever we hit that critical inflection point. This is a question of when, not if.

I would say step 1 is making sure everyone you know sees this video - Bitcoin vs. Political PowerNeeds more NSA jokes imo. Or Bitcoin could just wait 6 months. Waiting 6 months will always improve Bitcoin's PR, because Bitcoin will almost always be more valuable six months later.

Explain? No.
Murder your grandparents, and melt your inherited fiat into crypto. Win at life.
This statement may be considered my professional financial advice as a Bitcoin Professional(tm).
That's not the way to win. Pfftt.. says the old guy! In all seriousness, just explain to them what stepwise logarithmic growth is

Care to double down? You shouldn't be so eager to gamble with internet strangers. It could be dangerous for you, if things go the wrong way. Money makes people crazy, you know?
