3221  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Wages Declined As Immigration Population Increased in US on: April 28, 2015, 12:50:01 PM
The USSR collapsed, as the welfare rats increased in population beyond a tolerable limit, and put enormous strain on the resources...

USSR collapsed because of many reasons, including economical, sociological, political and ideological as well.

The illegals don't have to pay for tax or mediclaim.

Not sure but I think this article is referring to both legal and illegal immigrants, the legal immigrants pay taxes like every US citizen.
We cannot forget that USA society is built on immigrants.
3222  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Exercise 'not key to obesity fight' on: April 27, 2015, 01:15:01 PM

Physical activity has little role in tackling obesity - and instead public health messages should squarely focus on unhealthy eating, doctors say.
In an editorial in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, three international experts said it was time to "bust the myth" about exercise.
They said while activity was a key part of staving off diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and dementia, its impact on obesity was minimal.
Instead excess sugar and carbohydrates were key.

I'd say it goes both ways - You need to eat less if you are doing little exercise but if you are using more energy you need to do more exercises. Its easier for some people to do more excises then to eat less, so in other words for many people its more effective to exercise then to follow strictly diets (and they are less likely to gain their lost weight thanks to maintaining their physical activity).

3223  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece Back in the News. FUD or Really Scary This Time? on: April 27, 2015, 12:54:14 PM

Would a Greek default really bring larger but similar problems like Spain and Italy?

If Italy falls then France will.  France falls, Germany will.  Then it hits our shores...

If the Greece situation has any effect on other countries it's mostly by financial markets having uncertainty about other low rating countries.
If Spain or Italy has financial problems it's because their economy is poorly managed. Germany is solid, France is doing average but both countries have major position in EU so they will do just fine.
3224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Wages Declined As Immigration Population Increased in US on: April 27, 2015, 06:35:54 AM
Hmm.. but it doesn't anything about other effects of immigration. It may be the cause of wages decline but immigration is a source of a very cheap labour force which can be helpful for overall economy. Also the wage fluctuations can be caused by so many other factors, so to simply pushing all declines on immigration is blinding the facts
3225  Economy / Economics / Re: Global economy has made a disappointing start to 2015 on: April 27, 2015, 06:21:27 AM
The Economic Outlook for 2015 isn't looking that bad. The overall global real GDP growth average is projected to be 3-3,5% which is better then 2014 (2,6%) and 2013 (2,5%). The problems are Russia-Ukraine issue and overall declines in Euro area, Japan, and Brazil. But the upside is coming from USA India and Mexico. But overall predictions for this year are better then the previous years despite first few slow months.
3226  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 50 bitcoins on: April 27, 2015, 06:02:30 AM
hello guyz am so fucked up i lost the sim that recieves sms security code of 1 of my blockchain account now im not able to recieve sms code to login but i have identifier and password and all info how do i login or recover pls help and i cant re-issue sim company says they booked that number for someone and when im trying to call that number its switched off can anybody help me on how to recover my bitcoins account

You cannot recover lost sim number. Phone is identified by combination of phone's physical id IMEI and SIM. If you had pre-paid number, Your case is lost. If You had subscription You could try with Your mobile provider.

But I'm curious how You earned negative trust in just four posts?
3227  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Police Officer Caught Selling Stolen Bitcoin Mining Equipment on: April 25, 2015, 09:41:51 PM
I don't think its too much bitcoin related. I mean the equipment was for mining but it could be for anything else and they would still try to sell it. But if it helps (in some twisted way) to propagate btc that's all good Smiley
3228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi expect Bitcoin to last this long? on: April 23, 2015, 11:19:10 AM
He didn't cash out yet, so he's going ALL IN on his creation.
What do you say? Do you think that he will wait for couple of years and the withdraw every coin? It would be disastrous for bitcoin economy if he do that. Beside I think early adopters had slight  advantage over everyone else and Satoshi is aware of that. He will let people believe in BTC this is the reason he won't touch these coins.
3229  Economy / Speculation / Re: The beginning of the killer app era for bitcoin on: April 21, 2015, 03:33:16 PM
Awesome news! 2016/2017 will be year of mass adoption of bitcoin. Can't wait for that Smiley
It is not certain. We thought that after 2013 bitcoin price spike it will be only better in 2014 and see what we achieved in 2015, bitcoin is closer to $200 that to $1000. Killer app can't help this situation.
As there is little that can be changed just by adding new software when core elements of bitcoin might be faulty.
3230  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 satoshi = 1$ when? on: April 21, 2015, 03:00:30 PM
I don't believe in that scenario. Op you just pulled that numbers out of a hat. But I did not believe in other things like economic crash of 2007 earlier and that happened.
I will more likely believe that it would be 1 BTC = 1 USD by the year 2018. As we know now that that price of bitcoin $+1000 was caused by a bot... and that surge was fake.
3231  Economy / Economics / Re: A love and Hate story between Bitcoin & Wall Street on: April 21, 2015, 01:57:55 PM
yes, The Wall Street become to embrace bitcoin  Grin
And the bitcoin will change to PayPal 2.0. They have power to enforce that changes on bitcoin community. Either people will accept it or bitcoin will be outcasted. And used only for hipsters and geeks.

3233  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China Jails Gao Yu For Seven Years For 'Leaking State Secrets' on: April 19, 2015, 10:41:18 AM
So it is official, China has its personal equivalent of Edward Snowden. The only difference is they won't her go ever, and people can protest forever. Is is so sad that for telling people truth you will be imprisoned for that.
3234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: russia bitcoin ban on: April 18, 2015, 07:45:17 PM
I thought Russia banned bitcoin last year in 2014, how do they ban it again? It turns out the legislation was proposed last year and is finalising in 2015:

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/russian-bitcoin-ban-plans-to-fine-digital-currency-users/

Quote
According to the document, individuals that are found to be creating, mining, or issuing Bitcoin or other digital currencies will be penalized 30,000 to 50,000 rubles. The fine gets steeper for government officials, whom are supposedly held to a higher standard despite rampant reports of corruption in Russian government. Businesses, or legal entities, would be liable for up to 1 million rubles in fines if caught. In an unanticipated development, Russia will also be fining those that simply disseminate information that promotes digital currencies. Russia’s Bitcoin ban is the most heinous that the community has seen thus far.

You are right. Bitcoin is banned in Russia as far as I know. I found statement in wikipedia that says: "As of 2014, bitcoin is illegal in this country. On January 27, 2014 the Bank of Russia issued a statement on bitcoin usage in which it was characterized as money substitute banned for emission in Russia. The Bank warned against potential illegal usage of such substitutes, including money laundering and financing terrorist activities."

So are there any Russian on bticointal who can indeed confirm that bitcoin is illegal in practice?

3235  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Good idea to use StartJoin.com or just stick with Kickstarter? on: April 18, 2015, 02:29:01 AM
i was thinking of crowdfunding a bitcoin starter kit where it includes an android phone and a paper wallet with instructions for newbies. not sure if someone has that already.

now the question is startjoin or kickstarter?
Your best bet is Kickstarter. There is one basic rule in crounfdunding. And that is: you need to find more people to back you up. Kickstarter has the biggest user base of all crowdfunding platforms right now.
Do not falter to put your project there, forget about StartJoin as their user base is just like... poor.
3236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any reason twitter.com/Bitcoin only tweets news (& price) from Coindesk? on: April 17, 2015, 08:04:06 AM
It depends on who is in control of Bitcoin's twitter account. They seem to have some sort agreement with Coindesk I think, also there is possibility that Coindesk is supposed to be the best, the biggest and most established bitcoin news source and that is the simplest reason behind it.
3237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Bitcoin based TV show? on: April 17, 2015, 07:00:31 AM
Are there even Bitcoin based TV shows out there? I live in Europe and I did not see anything bitcoin connected - apart from occasional documentary or really short bitcoin related news on TV.
Do you guys have maybe youtube link with "Bitcoin based Tv show" I can see?
3238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Shock claim: Turkey provided 10,000 passports to ISIS on: April 17, 2015, 05:25:11 AM
Soon ISIS wouldn't need any kind of help from other countries with passports and anything as I read that they are already in the process of establishing Caliphate. "Move that clearly is part of the terrorist group's symbolic creation of a caliphate, ISIS militants themselves reportedly started issuing their own international ISIS passports". I will tell you what their next step be from here: ISIS plans to expand beyond the Middle East to Europe!

3239  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: btc-exist.ml where btc exist earn 550 - 55000 every Hour(New Update) on: April 17, 2015, 05:03:17 AM
How exactly btc-exist.ml is better from say, recently opened satoshi city, where you can earn up to 50.000 evert 10 minutes? You are offering only 55000 every hour vs satoshi city is not impressive offer at all.
Do you have any functionality which justified using your service over theirs? The only redeeming factor I think is that they are using that nasty adblock blocker script....
3240  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiCity - Up to 50.000 satoshis - 10 minutes on: April 17, 2015, 04:59:53 AM
Your script keeps blocking my Adblock, and there site resets, I can't do anything. So I want to ask if there is something I could do to be able view Satoshicity without me closing my Adblock?
I don't want to see any ads, and I won't whitelist anything. If you need that ads so badly then I think site is overloaded with them...
