3221  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chasing a x330,000 on: July 15, 2022, 10:01:23 PM
Today i decided to hit x330,000,
...

It's a good "exercise" and you are honored by the fact that you play with a real crypto and not with token tests.
you should make a video (mrbeast style) showing your attempts to hit this jackpot. these kind of experiment could have some audience! good luck!

3223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 15, 2022, 09:03:15 PM
gambling simply has to be regulated. like any other industry.
it is impossible to ban and would do nothing but fuel the black-market and would become at extreme risk of being scammed and attracting only "shady" characters.

in a utopian Roll Eyes world politicians / governments should ensure correct instructions for those who want to stop gambling and some information on the real risks of winning / losing.
3224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 15, 2022, 08:52:58 PM
Well i cant put more words, the video says it all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsB15QKz9No&ab_channel=EBDSports

I really think this damage the trust in the sports bets , or anything related to the sport gambling, i know a lot can say its a kind of protest but still really unclear.

...
I know in the lower leagues, the amateur leagues mostly this shit happens a lot of times.
....

Remo Stars (the team that misplaced all penalties) is actually at 3rd place of ... Premier League of Nigeria !
This was not an amateur match and probably this is the reason it become so "famous" around the world.

Another very similar scandal also occurred in Sierra Leone with two games that achieved 95-0 and 91-1
"science fiction" results!

3225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 15, 2022, 08:37:57 PM
This happens in Ogun State FA Cup (Nigeria) final between Remo Stars and Ijebu United.
the explanation that I read, this was like a kind of protest from the team, probably opposed to having to play penalties.
certainly the result is really gross if not practically ridiculous. shooting penalties like that is practically impossible at any level.

3228  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] WasabiWallet.io Review Campaign | 0.002 BTC/Review on: July 15, 2022, 06:40:41 PM
My review !

I was not able to install on my Macbook.
I have tried in a secondary partition but it was not accessible/not working.
I tried to install on the main partition but it doesn't work. Sad (well yes I have tried both executables...)
[It could be possible is just a mistake of some options on my mac.... but never happened before with other sw]

I have installed on a Windows machine. Everything was smooth.
I have received a payment and sending out just to try how it works and yes it's a good wallet easy to use with some options for "experienced user". I don't think this the simpliest wallet out of there....

Suggestions:
-There is not an android/iOS application Sad I think this could be a good option for the future.
- it was better to copy the seed word directly and not force the user to write down.
- Coinjoin explanation must be added on full, the final user should get an explanation about the process just for general information.
- advanced setting in a bar are something hard to be used (if you don't know the exact term you can't find an info).
- I can't extract the single private key (why not add this possibility?)
- It's not like electrum that doesn't allow to see ALL address associated (here I am forced to add a label each time)
- Synchronization after a reboot requires /1 hour and more . It was better a disclaimer about it ::

Generally speaking the wallet seems professional with several features for privacy and for customization.
I have not tested coinjoin directly but I think this is one of the best novelty they have introduced.

3229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT drops profitable? on: July 14, 2022, 09:05:55 PM
excluding few cases in the most majority you are buying just "blockchain trash".
I think there is a rule in collecting items. the real value is not what are you paying but what other people will pay for that item.
something similar happens with "first tweet" . payed milions of dollars now it's something worthless. Only few NFT have been a real bargain offer. Others have been just a waste of time and resources.
3230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Popular Themes for Online Slot on: July 14, 2022, 09:01:35 PM
nice search! it is really interesting to see how many different themes exist in the slots...
most of the games try to have an endearing look.

Those few times that I play I try to choose the games with the highest RTP and perhaps with the possibility of buying "bonus spin".

I don't think one theme can really bring more luck than another Roll Eyes
3231  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 14, 2022, 08:45:28 PM
in this historical moment, the effects of the pandemic on live sports  are practically exhausted. all matches are played with a live audience, there are no travel restrictions, even for celebration (I have seen both Roma and Milan party overcrowded with a lot of people on street).

either there will be a catastrophic worsening of the situation or these restrictions will be a thing of the past....
3232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 14, 2022, 07:34:31 PM
Djokovic could have gotten a paper easily in Serbia that he was vaccinated but he has his standards and dosent want to be fake. He is against covid since day one and will be probobly until the last day. So he wont ever get vaccinated so we hope that the US will allow him to play.

although technically possible, beyond its standards, I find such a solution somewhat improbable. falsifying a document is always a risk! and a player of his caliber has too many eyes on him and is practically able to bill as much as a medium-sized company (with dozens of people who manage to live thanks to his results Roll Eyes ).
3233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: July 14, 2022, 07:23:50 PM
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jul/11/cricket-fake-ipl-tournament-farm-russian-gamblers-india-police-betting-scam-the-sting

have you seen this news? some scammers has created a fake Indian premier League of cricket just to fool russian gamblers! Of course results of the matches were adapted according bets. This is the first time that I have see something similar. Find inside article some details Wink
about the scam (yes they have been caught)
3234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Group and new investment plattform on: July 14, 2022, 09:27:31 AM
@OP
first of all, I am sorry for your loss. this is why I don't trust anyone in telegram, and I have several proofs "everything offered" in 99% of the cases it's just a scam.

About your issue, open a scam accusation here on forum so you can help other people to avoid this kind of group and this website. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

I don't know if it's really working a complaint to ic3, because it requires a lot of time and you are not sure of the final result. they can just move their data and starting again maybe with a new site. helping other customers by providing these details on how the scam has been provided I think it's much much more usefull.

3235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: July 14, 2022, 09:14:04 AM
...
I just wanted to ask, do you have any other strategy to really recover from all those losses?

I don't think there is a strategy to recover from losses.
Maybe you can play in a smart way, avoiding risky play and try to maximize your gain... but why play in such way only when you are in loss? you should have this approach anyway anytime. A real gambler must maximize profit in all possible ways, everytime!
3236  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITSTAMP exchange biased rule that chased users away on: July 12, 2022, 05:50:51 PM
who knows which highly decorated executive came up with such a stupid idea Roll Eyes

for many, many reasons ....
holding crypto requires no effort.
outside is full of exchanges competing to attract new users.
forcing users to stake coins or transact is just a non-sense move.

I am not surprised they changed immediately idea Roll Eyes

3239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Collisions on private addresses? Balances? on: July 12, 2022, 01:23:20 PM
I think you miss the point.

I'm not guessing one particular number. I generate an address and then compare that to 60000 known addresses with balances, thus increasing the chance by 60000 on every attempt.

The computer is on for other reasons 24hrs a day, so no extra electric being used.

250 million numbers which is compared to 60000 known addresses with balances every 24hrs!

So if it does get one, it's will have a balance.

I believe bitcrack does exactly this but uses a GPU card.

Still a bit of fun.

LOL Grin
It's a nice exercise but a complete waste of time and resource.
Just to give an idea of what number you're searching for...

If you consider all "grain of sand" of the earth is one private address ... and for each of this "grain of sand" you consider another earth with all "grain of sand" you have the idea of a really big number that is much much lower of the total number of bitcoin address!

Please see below some "bitcoin address" that I left in my pocket Wink after my last tour in a desert Grin Roll Eyes

3240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 12, 2022, 09:27:07 AM
I absolutely agree.
Gambling is also a kind of entertainment, an interactive show where the player is an active part of the unfolding of the events.

It's like participating in a show by paying an entrance ... only in some cases you can even win Wink I believe that only a part of the players see gambling from this point of view Sad
