I am not seeing any promotions for Valentine's Day... are you planning on having something special for Valentine's Day? .... just make sure that it is not a deposit bonus with crazy rollover requirements.. because most people hate that.   Roll Eyes

3222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia and central Bank agreed to legalize cryptocurrency as a form of currency on: February 10, 2022, 06:08:06 PM
Everyone that says Russia is not going to invade the Ukraine, must take note of this move ...because it is a backdoor that are being opened to evade strict sanctions when they actually go ahead with the invasion.

The show of force from the US and other countries are not bothering Russia in the least, because they know those countries cannot afford to go into WWIII with Russia...and possibly China if they do.  Roll Eyes

What ? you still thingking the labor cost.

Did you know they can afford to pay a streamer with millions of subs, I don't think the reason labor cost is not a problem. I just want to express the suggestion, If they keep changing the VIP host rank. Soon or later, only Diamond rank is for VIP Host ~XD.

Doesn't matter how much they're spending for weekly, promotions, monthly and others because most of the money will go to them again.

I do not just focus on one aspect of a business, I focus on all aspects of a business.. because I owned or managed a lot of them before. I know from experience that labor cost is one of the most expensive expenses that a business has.

I know Eddie once said in a stream session that their goal was to offer VIP hosts for all levels of players, but the cost are enormous. If you look at my previous posts in this thread, you would have noticed that I have questioned the amount of money being spend on marketing at Stake and the impact that it has on player experience. (In my opinion, too much money is spend on that and player experience is suffering as a result)
3224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WSJ: How the Feds Tracked Hacked Bitfinex Funds on: February 10, 2022, 05:40:56 AM
The thing is, the moment when Crypto currencies touch centralized Fiat services that adhere to KYC reguirements.... ALL pseudo-anonymity is gone. They used Crypto exchanges that has to report to law enforcement agencies and that is why their real identities were exposed.

It does not say if these coins were pushed through Mixer services, because that would have been interesting to see if they can still trace it, once it goes through Mixer services. (Also which Mixer service was used)

I do not want to know this because I want to do something illegal, but if I make donations to Wikileaks or some other organization... I want to know that my pseudo-anonymity will be safe.

Hahaha.

I feel that when changing the "VIP Host" from Platinium 1 to Platinum 2. It's really hard, but with the reason just because user growing and to many VIP host handles the user. Rather than change the rank VIP Host is better to add more job vacancy for VIP Host. I got "VIP host" with channel user more than 200 people, so basically, 1 VIP Host is really handled by a lot people.

Add more VIP Host rather than changing the rank is more better, If stake want to change the rank VIP host should be for the new account afther the change happen. The old account still using the old rank and then the new account register after the change will using the new rank VIP Host.

I think that would be a better solution.

I do not think it is as easy as just adding more VIP hosts. Stake must balance their income and their expenses and they cannot afford to inflate their labor cost beyond their financial abilities. Just have a look at all the money being spend on things like Signature campaigns / Sponsorships / Challenges / Giveaways / Mods / Weekly&Monthly bonuses and the cost to host and maintain the site.

Also, some Platinum I to III players are flat broke and sucking on reload bonus to gamble (just watch the subtle begging in the chat) .... so why should Stake continue offering special treatment to players that hardly generate an income for them or being an expense? (VIP hosts are a ongoing commitment that needs to be funded) Note : I am one of the people that qualified and then it was changed.. LoLz

I should say, that a minimum wager amount should be linked to the VIP Offer .... Example : If a player wagered more than say $2 000 000 in 3 months... he or she will be eligible for special treatment. (The amount is just an example.. it might be much lower or higher)

You should only receive a permanent VIP host after you reached Diamond level and above.  Wink

3. Kim’s Wild Journey - Booming Games

We are also seeing more new features, like "Megaways cascading spins with re-spins" and more games featuring the possibility of purchasing bonus rounds and VR gaming in Online games... so it is going to be a good year.  Wink
3227  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin from the economic perspective on: February 09, 2022, 05:53:26 AM
Governments are not scared of anything, because they have the power to do what they want. In many countries dictators are ruling the country and they do what they want. They have the backing of the local Police and Army to enforce their rule and they determine the laws that are applicable to their citizens.

So, if they want to ban Crypto currencies, they will simply do it. (Example : China)  The only countries where Crypto currencies can make a difference are the countries where democratic votes determine the leaders of their government. The people can then use their democratic vote to vote for a government that supports Crypto currencies.  Wink
3228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I gave 100$ of Bitcoin to my elder brother as a gift on: February 09, 2022, 05:39:36 AM
I also gave my brother some bitcoin when it was his birthday a few years ago. I did it differently though, because I funded a Paper Wallet and I laminated it and then I gave it with some other gifts to him. I asked him a few weeks ago, if he still had those bitcoins.. but he said he sold it all ..when the price went over $60 000.  Roll Eyes

The danger with your method is the fact that you used an Exchange and we know some governments are going to target Exchanges soon. (Listen to rumors going around in the US and how that will influence other countries to do the same)  Roll Eyes

Hey, just want to say Welcome to the forum! Hope to see a lot more from this casino in the future.  Wink  Also glad to see that you launched with a Signature campaign, because that will definitely boost your numbers.

I liked two of the games "Head or Tails" - BGaming and "Squid Slot" from NetGame .... I guess it is just nice to see a Bitcoin symbol on a Slot and also to play a Slot that featured on one of the most controversial Series ever seen on TV.  Grin

Good luck for the future, you have some very tough competition out there. !
3230  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-01-27] Bill might give Yellen unilateral power to ban BTC and crypto on: February 08, 2022, 07:12:42 AM
Well, if Biden leave this decision with butthurt Janet Yellen, we will all suffer as a result of that. We know what happened when she was doing a speech and when the "Bitcoin Guy" held up a "Buy Bitcoin" sign behind her. She did not take kindly to that, so she will take some kind of revenge on Bitcoin for that embarrassment.

It has never been so important for people to make sure that they have FULL control over their own Private keys. The US government or any other government cannot take your bitcoins, if they raid a centralized exchange and you did not store your bitcoins on a Exchange service.  Wink
3231  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 08, 2022, 06:00:39 AM
Some people are so shocked by the drop from $60 000+ to $33 000, that they will be reluctant to climb back in during the recovery period. The Fiat investors are not used to extreme price volatility, so a drop like that will definitely scare the pants off of them.  Grin

The opportunist would have jumped in at $33 000 and made a $10 000 profit per bitcoin in the two weeks, if they listen to the old Crypto enthusiasts on this forum. (We see a massive drop in the price as an opportunity, not as a disaster)  Grin

3232  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Old phone as cold storage? on: February 07, 2022, 04:45:16 PM
This might sound stupid, but I just thought I mention it.

Imagine you are a thief and you break into someone's house.... What is the first thing you are looking for.... ?

1. Money
2. Notebooks / Tablets
3. Mobile phones
4. Weapons

I think you get what I am pointing to.... A thief will more likely take a phone, than target a hardware wallet. So, it would ..in my opinion.. be better to use a hardware wallet, because not a lot of thieves know about hardware wallets.

Did you "Factory default" the Android device, before you used it for Cold storage?
3233  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it just me or people are out of liquidity ( money ) ? on: February 07, 2022, 12:45:20 PM
It is not that people are out of cash, but simply that people are paying with debt now. They opt to use Credit cards or Debit cards and most of them stopped using Cash. The whole Covid epidemic has changed people's perspective on handling something that was touched by many people before them, so cash is one of them. (Even the cards are being tapped now for small amounts.... to prevent physical contact with surfaces that were used by other people)

I also think a lot of people has lost their jobs as a result of all these lockdowns for Covid, so there are a lot less consumers spending money now.  Roll Eyes
3234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn’t KYC anti-ethical to Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2022, 06:55:18 AM
In the early days when Bitcoin and other Crypto currencies were still illegal in most countries, hardcore supporters of Crypto currencies believed that it was crucial to protect their Crypto identity to stay Pseudo anonymous to hide from these governments.

We should also note that Fiat (Cash) is also Pseudo anonymous, so it is not something extraordinary that are only applicable to Crypto currencies. We (Crypto community) are only asking to get the same level of Pseudo anonymity, as people using Fiat (Cash) ..but the third parties are the ones destroying people's Pseudo anonymity.  Angry
3235  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: February 07, 2022, 06:25:36 AM
You can actually just make a list of casinos that are not asking for KYC information, because it will be way shorter than your current list. The trend with casinos seem to be to start without the strict KYC requirements and as soon as they hooked enough gamblers, they change that policy to ask for KYC information.

The KYC standard might be good for casinos, but it absolutely destroys Pseudo anonymity in Crypto currencies. Imagine if you were one of the Bitcoin whales and you are sitting on a couple of 1000 of coins and you have to give your personal information to a casino operator that might go scam later on.  Roll Eyes .... or your database get hacked or one of the employees get access to the information and they give it to a crime syndicate.  Roll Eyes

Stake.com started with a very relaxed KYC requirement, basically just asking for a email address... now they are aggressively encouraging people to validate higher levels of KYC requirements.
3236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making valentine's day memorable with bitcoins. on: February 06, 2022, 06:38:31 PM
I am considering printing a QR code of my main Bitcoin Address on my underwear, so that it can be stroked. *Joking

Nope.. I think the best thing you can do for Bitcoin.. is to buy something (not necessarily Bitcoin related) for your other half.. and this is important ==> Pay with bitcoins.

As someone previously said... We should not shove Bitcoin down people's throat ...but we can help supporting it, by using it as a currency. (It's original purpose)  Wink
3237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English FA CUP Season: 2021/2022 on: February 06, 2022, 03:20:40 PM
Hey, we are in the 141st season of the oldest football tournament in the world.  Grin

I am a bit surprised that Man City won with such a big margin against Fulham, but it was a fun match to watch.  Wink  I lost some money betting on the Wolves against Norwic City ...but got some back on my bet with Huddersfield vs Barnsley. (They did well with 62% possession)  Wink

In my opinion, Tottenham are favorites against Middlesbrough in the fifth round of the FA Cup.  Wink
3238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino KYC how it works and to what effect on: February 06, 2022, 01:47:07 PM
KYC is the abbreviation for "Know Your Customer" and it was designed to protect financial institutions against fraud, corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing, but it is used to track people's financial transactions. The government force financial organizations to implement these standards.. so that they can follow people's money.

The "money laundering and terrorist financing" are used as a scare tactic to get these organizations to implement it. A company does not want to be associated with these crimes, so they fall for this. The governments also give huge fines, if these companies does not adhere to these standards.

Advantages :

1. The government knows all your transactions.
2. The government can tax all your wealth

Disadvantages :

1. You have zero financial privacy
2. A corrupt government can seize your wealth

Imagine how strong your believe must be ..if you waited 6 days for your technology to mine 1 Block!   Yes, he knew that a combined effort with better computing hash rate, would speed up this process significantly... but this is still astonishing.

We know GPU mining only came in a while after CPU mining was used. https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/crypto-mining-rig-bitcoin-mining-calculator-asic-miner (Around 2010)

Thank you OP, for this thread.... it is just amazing how intriguing this whole history of this technology is.  Wink
3240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What's a pleasant way of marketing? on: February 06, 2022, 08:42:14 AM
I kind of like the TikTok marketing concept where you start watching the short video, thinking that it is just another TikTok video and then it turns into the marketing of a new game or product. It is not intrusive and it is immersed into your TikTok experience... also if you do not want to watch it, you simply swipe!

Also get people to Live stream the game play on TikTok.. because it stimulates questions in the chat. (Example : What game is this... How can you earn money with this etc. etc..)  Wink
