What a bad day for the Dallas Mavericks their star player Luka Doncic has suffered an injury during their last game of the season, everyone has already asked the Mavericks what's with them? what did they let their star players play during this last game? injuries such as this one are hard to heal in these few days remaining before the NBA playoffs, he might be back but he will not be 100% condition and that would affect their performance versus the Utah Jazz.
This is not good, I was expecting that Dallas has a chance to win the NBA Finals but without Luka, I don't think they'll pass the first round of the playoffs.

Luka Doncic injury update: Mavericks star suffers calf strain in final game of regular season vs. Spurs

No update yet regarding on how serious the injury is and on how long he'll be out.
I hope it's not too serious so we will see a great playoffs.
3222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 10, 2022, 09:28:56 PM

Inoue is too small to KO Donaire, as long as Donaire will be careful and always ensure his moves are calculated then for sure he will give Inoue some problem. Fans are eager to watch and know the outcome of the game because the fighter that wins this fight will possible have a fight with Casimero.

You are wrong with that, Inoue hurt Donaire in their first meeting, he can target the stomach and his opponent with vow down. It was just Donaire is strong to survive but he wasn't anymore engaging aggressively after that heavy blow in the stomach.
When in the first fight they both suffered pretty severe injuries in my opinion even at that time even though Inoue won he was injured even more in the face. but on the other hand inoue win is not luck. as you said Inoue managed to do a pretty hard hook that time and his jab also went to Donaire a lot.
I think it will be tough in June considering their speed is still quite good

Inoue will not be so aggressive in this rematch because he already felt the power of Donaire and could really hurt him, the worst could knock him down if he goes toe to toe. Counter punch is the biggest technique of Donaire, he worked that strategy perfectly for years, so it's not new to him and Inoue has to be careful if he wants to remain undefeated before he will move up in weight.

Now that Meralco has the edge on this series, could we say that this could be Brownlee's first Finals lose?

It's too early to tell, maybe if Meralco will have a 3-1 lead then there's a high probability.

Meralco outlasted Ginebra in a tough battle. Good defense displayed by both teams but a lot of missed free throws by Ginebra players in Q3 was the turning point and allowed Meralco to comeback from 8-point deficit. There was also the offensive rebounds in the fourth which allowed Meralco to protect their lead.

Brownlee only had 19 points, he was beaten by Bishop who scored 30 big points and 16 rebounds.

Also, the local players like Newsome had 20 points, while Maliksi is not anymore scoreless with 10 points.

Pelicans ML
Denver -8
Heat -9.5

Grabe ngayon, ang tataas ng point spread.

3227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 09, 2022, 01:37:22 PM
Donaire also knows that too because like Inoue, he also had the first hand experience which was their first encounter. So he already know that it's not good for him if he goes toe-to-toe with Inoue as it can really weary him in the long run. It might be best to counter every punches and be versatile or quick enough to react every move Inoue will make.

As @Fredomago said, both of them is equal in this match and we cannot really tell which of them have the advantage.

I'm thinking they will go toe-to-toe, face-to-face, close-to-close, bout-to-bout, head-to-head, or whatever clashes we called it because that's what they love. There's still defense but if one signals that they need to clash closely, the other party will go with the challenge. It's a form of respect by each boxer and ignoring that call is unprofessional. Inoue is known for his offensive style and he will not change that way just because Donaire is a counterpuncher and he has experience fighting him already.

I don't really think Inoue will avoid Donaire in a close bout. As a champion, he will prove that he can beat Donaire in his comfort zone and that's what fans want to see. On the other hand, Donaire too will have the same thinking. If he was able to give Inoue heavy damage in that close fight before, he is comfortable he can repeat it.

We need to see that in the rematch. Donaire will be more desperate because he is the underdog, so he will continue to play his style and if Inoue would remain aggressive, that's what Donaire would want to see as he cannot win against the quickness of Inoue.
3228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 08, 2022, 03:38:01 PM
It's true that having Ben Simmons is a risky move to them especially if he's actually going to play in the playoffs and not in the regular season where his skills in the team or he will be fit or not should be tested first. However, they haven't much of a choice now if they want to be the champion this season because they are really vulnerable in their defense and having Simmons can somehow provide that role. If indeed Simmons will fit in their system then that would really advance them and help the present duo.

By the way, I recently saw a video in which Ben Simmons airballed a few free throws during the Nets practice, and it means that he is still far from his former playing shape. Honestly, I even doubt that Simmons might be helpful for his new teammates even if he is fully healthy during the playoff series.

That's already not new because he's been struggling to do that even before the issue and it's not his best asset that's why 76ers kept him before they traded him for James Harden. He can adjust his shooting skills in the summer league or even before that but now is not the right time to experiment if he can still shoot or not especially if it's really needed. What he can do for now to help the Nets is his defensive mindset because that's what they lack, that's why they're still losing even though Durant and Irving contributed big points for the team.

Who knows things will be change when he is on nets especially if he get proper support to his teammates and his coaches then he will got huge confidence to shot more better than when he is on sixers, But I believe Nets will not get a problem in that area since they already have quality shooters on their team and most provably they need Simmons defensive presence and passing to make their team more better.

He is already playing great when he is still in the Philadelphia 76ers but he had a huge ego even if it was just a small deal fight and he even chose to leave his teammates hanging when they needed him the most and that's not good. I'm seeing that reasons that the Nets won't be so reliant to him as he already have that history with him. Yes, he may not be good at offensive but it's still not too late for him to work himself out and his talent in the defensive side could be very helpful in the team.
3229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 08, 2022, 02:49:18 PM
As per Ryan Garcia, he is now working with a jab, he admitted that he hasn't used it in the past. But if he can developed this one, like his mentor and manager, Oscar Dela Hoya, it will be a different version of Garcia.

Just imagine this, he is tall and have the length advantage and with that jab, no one can get inside of him so that will be a very dangerous and difficult fighter to beat. So let's see if he is going to take advantage of his jab in this fight.
Yes, I also read about that earlier, here it is:
Quote
“The jab is definitely improving. In some of the past fights, I didn’t really use it,” said Garcia. “I’ll be looking forward to using my jab a little bit better in this fight. We all know that the jab is the key in the sport. It sets up a lot of shots. So I’ve been working on that. I have the talent to use pretty much any type of shot, right? If I could really master the jab, it can take me to another level.”
https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-if-i-really-master-jab-it-take-me-another-level--165313

Aside from being a knockout specialist, he also need to master it because that will likely give him more advantage as he's taller than anyone in the division and have the right reach to do the job as his knockouts can be more effective using the jab to confuse his opponent. I mean, he's already a good and fast boxer but he lacks some other technique so that his punches can be more effective. His punches can only be lethal if he landed it perfectly.
3230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 08, 2022, 01:56:24 PM

That's already a fair cut because the distance between Crawford and Spence is not that big, he should already accept that deal if he was offered by Crawford's team. But it seems to me and probably for others that Spence is still not interested about it because he really looks like that he was avoiding Crawford for some reasons that he himself only knows or was he just trying to hype the fight.

I'm afraid that he will regret this decisions sooner or later because if Ugas will upset Spence, then that idea would become into ash as Ugas will be the one who will fight Crawford now. But if the opposite happens, I bet that Spence will recommend that he needs to get the 60% cut of the purse just for the fight to happen.

If Spence wins and demand or ask for that cut if Crawford's camp is very much willing to fight Spence it won't be a problem, they can accept that just to proceed with the talks, aside from this cut there are still many ways to earn from this possible fight, sponsors and other things behind this sport will be happy to engage.

It's more about what will happen from this upcoming fight. Everything will be discussed again after for now. Let's continue in our opinion

between Ugas and Spence and how we see the fight will end up. Roll Eyes Cool

I think Crawford's camp is already willing to fight Spence as they are calling him already in the past years, it's just that Spence is avoiding him or maybe he have another plans in his mind to make their fight more sellable if it would really happen soon. We don't really know about all these things yet that's why I'm curious what would be his response if he will be ask again after this fight.
3231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 08, 2022, 12:47:02 PM
^^ We can only speculate that a fighter can still fight and put up his best during his last performance. And with that said, we can see that Donaire has still the power in both hands as he was able to knock out his opponent and then get the belt easily. So for now, let's say that his age will not be a factor until we see him in the ring against Inoue. If he still has it, then it will be a good fight and he might have a chance to upset the Monster, if not, then he could be knock out in the early rounds because Inoue will be too much.
For Donaire to be able to win the fight, he must have a good look to counter Inoue and KO him, otherwise, he will just again lose in points because Inoue is more mobile and he throws more punches than Donaire. It's not an easy fight for Donaire but his win in the past fight should give him enough confidence to beat the beast.

The last time these two fought, Donaire converts good numbers of solid punches, but Inoue ignores and overpowers him. It's convincing that Inoue is really powerful but if Donaire will again converts those solid punches, the chance is high since he just win his last fight with a good decent strategy and combinations, if he will enhance that style he may upset and make his revenge to Inoue.

We can't tell if how this fight will end. The chance for both fighters is equal. They are both champ and have that KO punches.

Inoue was smart, he knows that he if will go bell to bell against Donaire, he might get caught by a solid counter that he cannot take anymore. Instead, he use his quickness, score and let Donaire throw more punches to make him tired, and then he use his body punch technique which wear down Donaire.

3232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 07, 2022, 06:09:46 PM
The match is near it looks like based on the odds from gambling site Ryan Garcia has an advantage to the match I see that he easily defeat other fighters that is much older than him and it is a surprise how young he is and he still managed to make a name for himself. I would go with Ryan Garcia with this but it will be a tough match for a fighter that has a lot of experience from him.

That experience is nothing compared to Ryan Garcia's power only 2 days to go the poll is not who will win but what round Ryan will knock out Tagoe, Tagoe tried to be impressive in their face-off trying to provoke Ryan but comes fight night we'll see if he is brave enough to provoke Ryan, looking forward to watching this fight,

Tagoe's only chance to be impressive is on the faceoff and he really did a great job on that.  Grin

Ryan Garcia looks so firm, he is well conditioned by just looking at his form, I'm sure he will have an impressive win against Tagoe, but on the other hand, Tagoe would also get a chance to make an upset win.

Quote
just to see if Ryan still has the power he's known for.
I'm sure you'll see that power.  Smiley

Tagoe can really hold his own, although I somehow doubt he won't fare well against someone like Ryan Garcia. So far, Tagoe has merely a single defeat under his belt. If he can keep that ferocity going, then as they say, sky is the limit. With any luck and a few well placed punches, he might actually win this fight. Just because odds are in Garcia's side of the ring does not mean we won't get surprised.

Garcia has the better odds no doubt.

Tagoe's skills will be tested here on this fight by Ryan Garcia because from Tagoe's experiences, he didn't had any opponent near Garcia's level and we will see if he can really deflect those heavy punches that the latter will give and of course we will see if he have a good chin.

Looking at Ryan Garcia on their recent face-off, he looks like in the good shape and doesn't have any problems at all. Maybe he is really back and he will take his name higher again in the industry as their goal for now is to have a fight with Kambosos Jr. so I don't doubt that Ryan Garcia will fail on this fight against Tagoe.
3233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 07, 2022, 05:14:26 PM
The big question mark on the Nets to me is Ben Simmons.  If he can come back healthy I think the Nets have a big advantage over other teams.  If not, they're going to have to rely on Durant and hope he can get them to the promise land.  He missed it last year by toenail being on the 3 point line.  He alone could carry the team without Ben and Kyrie, but hopefully he won't have to.
Since Coach Nash already told that Simmons will be ruled out for the rest of the season including the playoffs. this will be applied next season. How will Ben fits for the team really is a big question mark for now.

Its a high risk high reward for me. If Ben will fit for the team then they already have another perimeter defender and at the same time passer. Never mind the shooting since it wasn't his strength though I'm not saying that he mustn't improve his shooting skills. On the other hand though if Ben isn't fit for the team, they need to trade him again and well no one would like to get a player who didn't play for a whole season and no shooting skills at all. Well there might be some but his value might get lower.

I'm hoping that next season, Ben, Kyrie and Kevin Durant will be a good trio that can lead the Nets team.

Steve Nash just said that Ben Simmons is ruled out for the rest of regular seasons and play-in tournament. He didn't said that for the whole season including the playoffs if they can have a seat.

I think us fans would like to see a super fight, Spence vs Crawford should be next.

But it seems that Spence is not that interested though, and would rather move up to 154 lbs and face other champions. Not sure why is Spence trying to avoid Crawford because they are the two best on the welterweight division and boxing fans deserves this fight, two undefeated fighters all belt on the line.
I think that is a fight that we would all like to see, but as you say it seems Spence is not interested, it could be as we speculate that he is just avoiding Crawford, however there are many other possibilities, like the money not being high enough, wanting a bigger share than what Crawford wants to give him, personal problems between the two or even just a genuine desire to move up a division as he is finding difficult to remain at that weight.

Spence if offered a 50/50 sharing on the fight revenue, I think that's already fair since Crawford is a champion and even has a higher ranking than him. I don't know the real reason behind, but if he is avoiding him, then for sure that's not good as it will not give the fans the ultimate entertainment they are looking.

Crawford really want a blockbuster fight as he is not making big money in his past fights, so maybe now that he is not connected with Bob, he could make his own decision whom he would like to fight.
That's already a fair cut because the distance between Crawford and Spence is not that big, he should already accept that deal if he was offered by Crawford's team. Crawford really want a blockbuster fight as he is not making big money in his past fights, so maybe now that he is not connected with Bob, he could make his own decision whom he would like to fight.

That's probably the reason why he left Top Rank to have more freedom in choosing his opponent, but even before he was still with the Top Rank. He was already calling out Spence but it seems like Spence is not interested in fighting him, so if Spence would say no, better for Crawford to just move up in weight.

It's really the best thing to do after you became famous, you need to part ways with your ex-manager to profit more and if it will gonna goes right for you, you can make your own promotion like the other popular boxers we have known in the boxing industry. Looks like boxers nowadays know to find their own way to make their own trademark in the industry, which can be a good thing for others as well once they managed to do the same when they are popular enough to part ways with their managers.
Yes mate, just like what Manny Pacquaio and Mayweather did. They built their own promotional company after having some first hand knowledge on how to do the business deals.

I suspect that Crawford already have an on idea how to do his own fights and sell it without the need of Bob Arum of the Top Rank Promotions and that's a good decision to earn more money every fight because he now have no one to share his cuts.
3236  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: April 07, 2022, 02:57:19 PM
Would be much help for Stake if Drake would create a song about Stake or probably add it to his music video showing that he is playing a Stake but I think that would be really expensive to create a song just for Stake but I am sure that would be a really good investment in advertising Stake.com

That is surely a good idea but probably we will know about that soon if that's included from their agreement because from our knowledge, Drake was just hired to be an endorser and to do advertisement about Stake. Making songs for Stake is good for the company so that the people could know more about them and be curious about the platform but surely that price tag doesn't comes cheap especially if it's Drake himself making that song.
3237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: April 07, 2022, 02:14:30 PM
@goldkingcoiner. It appears you underestimate the commitment of some of the Southeast Asian fighters. If we are talking about commitment, I reckon Pacman has showed that he is one of the most commited boxers in the world. I would reckon that he is the most commited. His record is not perfect, however, he has accomplished more than anyone in the sport of boxing.

Donaire's social media presence is only marketing. I am quite certain his wife has hired someone to run the account and be in charge of promoting Nonito Donaire in Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Lol, but this so true, remember that Japan is also part of the Asian countries so both fighters from the Philippines and Japan are the same. Maybe what separates more from the PH is that they want to get out of poverty that's why the commitment of fighters like Manny and the rest of the new bred. Yes, Donaire grew up in the States, but he has also accomplished a lot. Or maybe Rachel is also handling the promotion of Nonito is the social media?

No mate, Southeast Asian fighters doesn't include Japanese fighters because Japan is part of the Eastern Asia and not SEA. We might get confused about that sometimes because Asia is a big continent that's why it's divided into 5 regions.

However, I agree that most of the Asian fighters are the same if we're talking about commitment and dedication.
3238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 06, 2022, 05:24:38 PM
The Suns emerged victorious from the Lakers game that LeBron James did not play. With 63 wins in 79 matches the Suns broke the organizational record. The Lakers on the other hand have suffered 48 losses in 79 games this season with poor performance. With this result the LA team did not have a chance to Play-in and said goodbye to the season.

The Lakers predicament is already a given fact, it's just a matter of time before it will be official that they will not make it to the playoffs this year.

For the Suns, it's going to be interesting how far they will go this season. They put up a season best in their franchise history and hopefully they can make it to the finals again and at least have CP3 his first ring in his storied career.

What a good accomplishment being added to the Sun's franchise. Moving to the next round will be more exciting

lots of tough competitors who also got the same chances to chase the title, though the good thing with the Suns,
they are playing with almost the same  system and also same individuals who are playing together.

Aiming for that same result that they have accomplished last WCF. Hopefully, this season they'll be able to achieve
and bring the first title to the Phoenix fans..

That was never an easy path for the Phoenix Suns to take and grabbing that wins while making a history was indeed a nice accomplishment.
Quote
The 2021-22 Phoenix Suns are officially the greatest regular-season team in franchise history after winning their 63rd game of the campaign.
Source

In fact, they accomplished two and the other one was they officially removed the LA Lakers from participating in the play-in tournament. Now that they just have 3 games left to play and the playoffs season is approaching, they can rest a bit and regroup again to practice for the playoffs season.

They have to prepare fully because there are also other top contenders like the Grizzlies and other top teams in the East who's also aiming the very same goal just like them. This will surely an interesting season, and maybe this time CP3 can have his ring.
3239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: April 06, 2022, 09:44:45 AM
^^ Thurman is just lurking in the shadows, he just come back from a long layoff and for me his latest win against a balloon up Barrios is not that impressive. He needs to fight quality fighters fight in the division before he can fight for the belt again. So right now, it's Spence, Crawford and Ugas as the top dog and maybe they should fight each other first and then Thurman builds up his resume again before he can fight anyone of them.

Maybe Thurman can fight the loser between Ugas and Spence instead of having a rematch, the winner can move forward and face

Crawford, this would be a good chance for Thurman to aim for the belt if he wins, then waiting for the loser again, then challenge the

overall belt holder. Just a wild opinion though, but for now, everyone's eye is on this upcoming fight. A winner takes all fights that will

add a good hypes to the winner's resume and accomplishments.

Yes, I was also about to say the same thing that Keith Thurman should watch and fight who will be the loser between Ugas and Spence as this way he could climb back again and start his career with more credible opponents and Ugas or Spence is good starting phase to begin with.

He cannot just yet face and fight Crawford because he's reserve to fight who will be the winner between Ugas and Spence. Thurman's time will come because he's just starting to build his career again and defeating Barrios is just a welcome phase.
3240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: April 06, 2022, 09:16:44 AM
That's right and I  don't think placing bets on non professional fights is a good idea, just like what happened in Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. match I placed a bet in Mike Tyson and it is clearly that he has more hits than Roy Jones but ended up as a draw since according to the judges they are both legends in the boxing and in result I lose my bet.

Well, it's not always going to be that kind of decision because the exhibition fights nowadays is really different from that time where Mike Tyson and Roy Jones did an exhibition match that resulted a draw. These days, it's more like of a joke instead of an entertaining fight just what like the people expected to see but it turns out that the fight was not that so entertaining to see, I mean who would really believe that these Paul brothers can and will defeat their opponents? Especially that they are going to face the likes of Mike Tyson and Conor McGregor.

They are trying to show off that they can beat Mike or Conor just to attract people to make their match hype and will let them earn money. Some people wanted unusual fights such as fighting other fighters from different sports, etc. but this match between Paul and Mike seems impossible. Mike will beat him easily he might be a retired boxer but he still go his power and agility and can still damage opponent especially Mike is more experienced boxer rather than Paul.

That's how these brothers work and I cannot deny that they are good on marketing their fights, so why not? If those fights would generate huge amounts to them because the people are also interested what would be the result and also they are somehow of an internet stars so I bet they have a huge fan bases.

Logan Paul? That man has no experience at all and he doesn't got any interests on boxing, he's just seeing the industry as a milking ground. It won't be a challenge for Mike Tyson, he will school him between rounds before making him sleep in the canvass.
