3221  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: May 31, 2017, 10:36:53 AM
Personally, if I'm in a coffee shop or any store with some people, I pull out my wallet and subtly show them my Xapo debit card. Then they get curious on what kind of card is that since it doesnt look like the usual Mastercard or creditcard. Then I explain it from there on.

What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? Smiley

My way of spreading bitcoins is simple, I just show to my family and office mates my income from bitcoin. They have started to be curious as to what is bitcoin and how they will earn. As I always update them with the value of bitcoin they become interested and started to buy more coins. But sometimes there are disadvantages in sharing bitcoins to others and that is when you join an investment they will borrow some of your bitcoins but when it turns out to be a scam they will just turn a blind eye on you.
3222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 31, 2017, 10:32:29 AM
https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

The existence of bitcoin is not dependent on crime. Bitcoin grows up for everyone, criminals are just bitcoin exploiters, they use bitcoin for bad. Bitcoin is also a victim, it's not the cause.

Bitcoin is not made to be used in criminality but if you read my post carefully there is a link between the increase of criminality and the existence of bitcoin.  The nature of bitcoin has been the sole reason why many crimes are being done online since the culprits are not afraid of being caught or being find out by the authorities. This day me and my friends were scammed and we can not do something about it since what we have is only the bitcoin address of a website. Bitcoin is good but since it has a value criminals sets their eye on it.
3223  Economy / Economics / Re: A nice pic showcasing why you should hold BTC longterm on: May 30, 2017, 11:57:06 AM
A lot of people are not seeing the bigger picture, because they do not understand the bigger picture. How many people know that there will only be 21 000 000 bitcoins and how significant this is? How many people know how many coins are already lost?

We are reminded about this every 4 years when the Halving happens and then you see a spike in the price, when people see this in the media. ^smile^

I like the first picture, even though it is a bit exaggerated.

The picture maybe exaggerated that will be the future of bitcoins. When it will hit and touch a million dollar value then we can even buy a huge land, build a mansion and own a luxury car. Those are not far from reality if bitcoin will be accepted worldwide and by the majority of the population in the world. The only problem left is if we are still alive when that time comes.
3224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How long will I wait? on: May 30, 2017, 11:54:08 AM
This is my first post regarding to the transactions of bitcoin.

So, how long will I wait for my money to come into my wallet? It's been week already and I am so d@mn bad waiting for all my transactions to come.
Because this is my first time to have a delay transaction, I have 3 transactions to wait for. I am freaking out on how can I make this fast.
That is not that big amount but I need it now badly. What will be my solution guys?

It is hard to explain to you what happened since the details that you give were incomplete. You must post how much bitcoin did you buy and where did you bought it including the name of the site. After you give those datas the member on this forum will have a clear picture as to what happened to your bitcoin and can give you  the answer which suits your needs.
3225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS TRAVELING PLACES!!! on: May 30, 2017, 11:50:49 AM
LEGALIZATION OF BITCOIN EVERYWHERE IN THE NEAR FUTURE

SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!
BITCOIN WILL SOON OVERTAKE BANKS AND OTHER NOTABLE CURRENCIES IN THE WORLD.
I HAVE SAVED UP TO ALMOST A 0.4 BTC AND STILL YEARNING FOR MORE THAN EVEN 1BTC.
BUT DOES ANYONE COME TO REALISE IF BITCOINS WILL BE CLOSED SO I DON'T INVEST ALL MY MONEY INTO BITCOINS?

Countries have started to accept bitcoin and it is best to keep at least one bitcoin into your wallet for future use. The possibility that bitcoin will cease to exist is many years before possible occurrence. Thus it is good to invest in bitcoins today and harvest our profit after a year. Sooner or later more countries will follow the footstep of Japan and if you dont own bitcoins at this moment you will regret it in the future.
3226  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: avalon, onecoin, bitclub on: May 30, 2017, 11:47:36 AM
I dont have any news about avalon but I just want to warn you about Onecoin. I have heard that there are already countries that have declared Onecoin investment as illegal and they consider it as a ponzi scheme. Thus I warn you to not invest in that scheme since it is already the authorities that have already sent out that declaration.
3227  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about terrorism?..I mean, will it ever end? on: May 30, 2017, 11:45:27 AM
I am a citizen of the Philippines, specifically in Mindanao group of island. This Maute Group(an alleged ally of ISIS) is terrorizing one of the city here in Mindanao and just started a war against the Philippine Army. Now, If these group will be successful, we would be like Syria. I wanna hear your opinions about these guys. thanks.

With the martial law in effect in Mindanao the terror brought by this terrorist group will be put to end. The whole island of mindanao is in lockdown to avoid the terrorist going out. This is a special strategy so that the terrorist cannot escape and cannot regroup and strengthen its number and power. The only negative impact of this kind of anti-terrorism activities is that people will have to suffer so that they can enjoy peace and safety in a long run.
3228  Economy / Economics / Re: Long-term storage on: May 30, 2017, 11:40:44 AM
What do you think,
How safe is to keep some BTC in the coldwallet for 20 years paying no attention to crypto world?
That's good. But if you won't pay your attention on bitcoin current news. You will miss lot of things like updates. You know, 20 years is a very long time. What if bitcoin just died before you reach 20 years? You just waited for nothing. All your investment are all in vain. Better sell them. You need to get in touch on bitcoin updates even just every month.

The worst case scenario when he store it for 20 years is if he is still alive when that time comes. Let us say that bitcoins value have reached a million dollars but that time but it will still be a waste if he is already dead. The best way to keep coins is to withdraw some amounts from your profit and enjoy it, remember life is short and life is much more important than bitcoin.
3229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best way to explain ICO to critics & potential investors on: May 30, 2017, 11:36:07 AM
Despite legitimacy with a white paper and all necessary documents, what is the easiest way to explain the benefits of ICOs to someone?

The best way to explain ICO's to someone is through the potential income. Just tell that somebody that if you buy coins at ICO you can buy more coins since you can have it at its cheapest value. After the ICO the price of the coin will increase and ICO holders will surely get a profit when the coin will be released in an exchange.
3230  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Duterte's promise to get rid of drugs 29 days left on: May 30, 2017, 11:31:31 AM
Duterte promise to the solve illegal drugs activity in 3-6 months. Can he fullfill his promise? Can he do it in this short period of time. I hope he will be successful at the end of the day. Life must go on. So live our life to the fullest. Its Philippines time so we can work together to change the Philippines for the better country.

Duterte cannot solve the drug problem in the Philippines within that span of time. Drug problems has been already rooted deeply in the society for how many years and there are many government officials and workers that are involve in it. The drug eradication can only be realized if those people in the government can be taken out. But President Duterte has made the streets more safer, even though he cannot eradicate drug problems in 100% but he has decreased the number of users and peddlers in a large scale.
3231  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: May 30, 2017, 11:27:59 AM
Moon  Grin

I guess we can hit the moon next year. I actually thought that we can reach or touch Five Thousand Dollars at the end of the year. But given the datas coming from the market the maximum price that bitcoin will hit will only be three thousand five hundred dollars (3,500 $). Hope the UASF activation of segwit can make the price go higher.
3232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawing All Funds on: May 30, 2017, 11:24:57 AM
At this point of time the amount you mentioned is actually just equivalent to a miner fee. There are many ways wherein you can save from your transactions and that is to make bigger transactions rather than just multiple transactions with little amounts. If you think you can transfer everything from one account to other account without fees then that is no longer possible.
3233  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: May 30, 2017, 11:20:28 AM
I prefer to save bitcoin or use it instead of using usd for now. Well, if using usd, i might just spend it. But, with bitcoin, i might just be thinking of business, so i prefer btc rather than usd.

I have a different view than you do. If I have bitcoin I am prone to investment and I dont feel anything even if i lose it in trading and on gambling sites. But if my money will be lost I cannot stop thinking about it. But this does not mean that I no longer want bitcoin, I still wanted bitcoin since it is the source of income and it has helped me pay my debts. Fiat currency is also dear to me since I am living in a rural area where bitcoin is not accepted in local stores.
3234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Buy ETH + LTC via credit card on: May 30, 2017, 09:00:32 AM
Whats the fastest and safe possibility to buy ETH and LTC?

The fastest way and the safest way is to buy them inside trusted exchanges. If you bought it at the trusted exchange sites then you can be sure that your ETH and LTC will be credited in your account. Aside from that you can also do some trading by making buy orders in a lower value and sell it on a higher value. Rest assured if you do this you can have your ETH and LTC instantly.

Mark Zuckerberg: Free Money for Everyone

Quote
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg gave the commencement address at Harvard for the Class of 2017, where he suggested a Universal Basic Income, meaning free money for everyone, so they could be creative and pursue their dreams. Media analyst Mark Dice has the story.

Mark Zuckerberg:
Free Money for Everyone -
"Universal Basic Income"

Cool

How can we avail of those free money. I hope I was there so I can also get free money from Zuckerberg. But seriously his ideas are very perceptive as he is thinking to increase the productivity of the youth. Sometimes what limits our creativity are the lack of resources and funding for any projects that we want to accomplish.  Hope those youth that will receive free money will become productive.
3236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust core? on: May 30, 2017, 08:12:23 AM
seriously, do you trust what they tell you?

If we do not trust the core then who will we trust? I do trust the core since they are keeping bitcoin alive since a long time ago and if if it werent for them bitcoin would be encountering many problems today such as double spending and many more. They are keeping the blockchain alive and continuously making some upgrades to make bitcoin and its transaction much better.
3237  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: May 30, 2017, 07:59:56 AM
As should be obvious now in bitcoin, it is straightforwardly turned into a worldwide cash in various nation. Why did I said that things? It is on the grounds that in Japan Bitcoin was lawfully announced as cash in a few spots of their nation, on the off chance that I am not mixed up, and now China is the following holding up wanting to make bitcoin to their nation to wind up plainly a lawful money as well.

Bitcoin is the first country to have declared to adopt bitcoins though actually Switzerland has been accepting bitcoins since the previous years. Australia will be accepting bitcoins next year and soon other countries will be following the footsteps of other countries. Africa, India, Indonesia, Philippines and many other countries are now studying the merits of bitcoin and are planning on creating regulations and policies before they will adopt it.
3238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chandler Guo: An Elaborately-made PowerPoint Helps ICOs Scam Money on: May 30, 2017, 07:42:28 AM
Guo in his latest intervies jokingly said that an ICO team of several Chinese plus a foreign guy is able to scam 100 Bitcoins with a 10-slide PowerPoint and 1000 Bitcoins with . All they have is just a concept, but ironically, more virtual, more attractive, just like religion. http://news.8btc.com/chandler-guo-an-elaborately-made-powerpoint-helps-icos-scam-money
He also said it's never too late to invest in digital currencies, but just things that are taking the lion’s share of the media, never coins that no one but yourself have heard of.

There are many ICOS this days and this is very confusing as we do not know what ICO's and what coin are we going to buy. Shitcoins are widespread in the cryptomarket and there are some sites in which this kind of coins are rich. Shitcoins are not bad if you are careful since you can also earn big even if it is a shitcoin but the problem with shitcoins is that they never last long. So to avoid losing your investment and placing it under risk be sure to invest on trusted coins.
3239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Physical Gold Bitcoin on: May 30, 2017, 07:09:57 AM
Hello everybody,

Is it a good idea to do this: issue a physical 1 ounce (or 1 gram, ...) 24 karat gold coin (call it BTCg coin) with a private key (of 1 BTC or less) engraved on it (or a paper wallet attached to it) and sell it for the equivalent and fixed price of the gold in fiat+ price of 1 BTC at the time of minting (let's say once in a year on 3rd of January)?

This will:

1. Make bitcoin even more popular,
2. The person buying it will say: Either BTC go up, and I will have the BTC in my BTCg coin making me profit. Or BTC goes down (say zero, for most conservative investor) and still have the GOLD in my BTCg making my investment less volatile.
3. There will be new front in trading...
4. This will be the fundamental moment of truth for BTC each year celebrating 3rd of January
...

Thank you.

You have a unique idea and actually if that will work out bitcoin will be popular. But in my own opinion we do not need that kind of system since we have already a bitcoin trading and we have a trading on gold. If in case this will be implemented it will take a long time to make users to adjust to a new kind of system. Thus in the end I will vote for no, since I think the community is not yet ready.
3240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: Russia Adopting Bitcoin. Price Explosion Imminent!! on: May 30, 2017, 06:50:34 AM
Just hearing in the wires that Russians largest payment processor will be accepting BTC payments imminently. It's already been coded. Go live within days.

Updates to follow...

It is a big news since the one that will be accepting bitcoin is one of the superpowers in the world. Russia is a big country and is one of the leading economies in the world thus if they will accept bitcoin it will play a major role and a huge impact in the markets value. For sure we will be seeing another price spike one of these days. 2017 really is a great year for bitcoin.
