Pointless clone coins seem to be dying, the ones with original features (Litecoin, Peercoin, Primecoin, etc.) seem to be staying strong.
Yes the old ones, but the new coins with actual benefits are buried under all the crapcoins. And its normal, who has the time to read all the announced coins.. And the coins who do get the most attention (doge,cat,coinye) are a fucking joke. So the good coins stay under and don't get invested in. Why do you think somebody should read all bullshits in newly announced coins? This is very important if you wish to be misinformed. Who has enough time to read several hundreds pages about not 1 month old coins? lol The biggest mistake is this in this topic:
When BTC goes up. Alts go down.
Makes sense. It's math!
I don'see any altcoin which made less growth than Bitcoin from the last summer. And Bitcoin fell 3 folds from the top and now is half recovered to the middle of that range. |

Like a week or 2 before any altcoin mined at 1500 KH/s (scrypt) would get you around 40 dollars a day, now its like $15, also SHA 256 coins like emark and tigercoin and all the others seemed too. What's going on ? Is it dying or will it get back up?? Also should I start investing in coins instead of mining? Like dogecoins?
Dont' worry. Almost every coins will survive, I think. Maybe many of them will be dumped sooner or later, but after waiting some time it will be back much stronger and higher. Experience from the last summer tells me so. We will see. so my 100GH/s SHA 256 RIG will survive lol?? I only mine altcoins (most profitable) same goes with my 20 MH/s scrypt FARM?? So as long as new coins are comming out your hardware will survive lol? Then why are they dropping like mad right now, two weeks ago they were $40 a day for every 1.5 MH/s Your daily earnings someone should pay. Don't worry, I don't pay your daily earnings now I will pay 1/10 of your daily break-even . Ofc, your rigs will survive too I'm sorry I did not understand any of that, might have read it wrong. as usual many factors. What i can see:
-some people jump out for rising btc
-some real trashy (older) alts are overpriced. That has to come off at one point.
-some other (newer) trashy alts have recently been hyped with no end for no reason and took effectiveley a lot investors money away from the more desirable coins. Those pump-and-dump-par-excellance-coins, Animal and spam-coins are dumped of course and the only one profiting here was the early miners.

quality-alts will go back up and higher. Trash dumps. No problem.
as always: buy the panicsellers. all good. it's all going to go higher. Even the trash can go higher. I think we have nothing seen yet. Tbh i think this is only a very short decline. A little dip btc-wise. When btc is on the next plateau alts will follow in a day.
Think ltc: Maybe it went from .032 to .028 in two days but it will surely not fall below 18 or 20$ while btc is going up. So i don't think anybody is loosing big $ here. Probably only panicsellers loose like they always do.
Bottom line: don't buy hyped up meme-shit. It's really spam. I am holding on to my xpm and ltc.

Looking at the exchanges a lot of alt coins are going down in price.
Many alt coins, you know who they are, are just created to (pre)mine fast and then dump millions and sell as soon as it hits an exchange. The devs earn a few $1000 real dollars and everyone else was tricked into thinking it was going to be the best coin ever, leaving them with coins not even worth a satoshi.
Some coins are looking stable like anoncoin, novacoin, etc. but most of the other coins will die out in a few months and I believe people are getting sick of new coins and the hype will soon be gone.
The only coin still standing strong like a giant and rising to the moon is BTC. It's used in real world stores and even your grandma has probably heard of Bitcoin. Another one is LTC, but that coin looks like a backup coin, ready to take over if anything happens to BTC.

Developer of this coin knows how to communicate: Unless someone makes a coin called Scamcoin (didn't someone?), what about a coin constitutes being a scam -- there being malware in it? I don't see a coin which has failed to take off like Quark did as being a scam nor do I view premining as being a scam. We may not agree with it but scam is a rather strong word to describe the activity. An overly strong word imo.
Pump and dump is scam. Does anybody know any coins which had not pump and dump? Every coin is scam, bitcoin too, fiat too. Even your sister  Can you trust him? |

Alt coins will die if 10 more coins per day come out. Alt coins are becoming a laughing stock.
Soon there will be 1000's of the copy and paste clones. Then nobody will take any of them seriously = death of alts.
If a coin has zero innovation it should be shunned. This is for the good of alts.
Exchanges need to get a handle on this situation, they are listing any new shitcoins through greed. They will ruin crypto currency if this continues.
We can apply pressure to these exchange by not trading on them if they keep adding just any crap coins they like.
Exchanges work for provisions, and they get money from provisions. Look at Doge. Every exchanges listed Doge. They don't evan want Doge to be listed on LTC market. They support dumping Doge to their users at the highest possible price. They have very good short-sighted vision only.  |
