3rd quarter Warriors are back! Down 17 at the start of the 3rd quarter and somehow they brought it down to just 2 by the end of 3rd. Mavs changed the way they played the first half, expecting Warriors to have found the answers but have gotten it very wrong. They are trying to go through Looney and that's not working at all. 4th quarter up next. Can Mavs take a game off of Warriors at the Chase center?
As I was expecting, that live by the three die by the three approach to the game backfired in the third quarter. Nobody is attacking other than Luka. Mavs is even lucky that Curry is misfiring but he's done well distributing the ball. To think that they managed to close the gap to just two points while Draymond is sitting the rest of the third quarter with three points.

Luka and Brunson got it going but it surely wasnt enough to match the star power of Curry, Thompson, Green and Looney stepping up for both games. While the bench playing crucial role as well, with Otto Porter and Wiggins and Poole all getting double digit scores at times where Curry was rested and offense was lacking.

That's why it's so demanding of teams to play against the Warriors in the playoffs, and today it they had their crazy comeback run with Curry and Green on the bench, the bench team really provided great minutes without their starters and that's what helped Warrior win this game, Looney, Porter and Poole were just also very great tonight, it was really a great to watch from the tip-off to the end of the game.

Luka is putting in work right now in the Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors game. He’s out scoring the Warriors by himself so far and his team is up by 15. Not a good start by the Warriors but I’m sure they’ll settle down and get back in the game. A bit shocking after how they dominated game 1 to start off so poorly. I still think they’ll win, but we’ve reached the level where it’ll be a comeback for them at this point, and it’s still only the first quarter.

Same here, it was pretty dominant first quarter, but you know what it's not yet over and then the Warriors storming back 26-23 with still one minute to go.

I guess the Mavs will really have to shoot very well and not just rely on Luka because the Warriors is a very different team as compare to the Suns. Specially on the way they can comeback from huge deficit.

The Mavericks are really feeling it midway into the game here, currently leading by 19, they've made 14 of 26 3pts so far, that's well over 50%, Brunson and DFS both playing really great and absolving the pressure a bit off Doncic. it's going to be a huge mountain from Warriors to climb back into the game, but with this Warrior team you always know it's never over and a run within a few minutes can easily change it.

For the last place with reward we have another close fight, between Harkorede and Sojourner.

And then there's hahay too in the contest for the 4th Position, I doubt I'd be able overthrow both Sojourner and Hahay though, but it's been the closest I've ever come in the La Liga pool, despite being a Barcelona fan, I just don't follow up with other teams as much as do with the first 4-5 teams, hence my consistent poor performance.

I've actually always joined the pool, so there is always something to look forward every weekend and the competition and discussion here is always nice, so regardless of how it goes down, I'll definitely be in for next season too, if there's one.

When the crowd is heavily leaning one way I tend to go the other because books don't often lose but I have to lay on the Warriors here.  I don't see how the mavs compete on the road here.  Gonna need Brunson or someone to have an insane night just to compete, I don't see it.  Dubs -6.5 is my play here tonight.  Good luck all

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the Warriors more as well, I don't think this series would be like the same against Suns for the Mavericks, the Warriors have got so many facilitators, and it's going to take more than just a Luka Magic to get a win here, I however believe that Dallas Maverick might cover spread, even if they lose the game.

I'm think of going with the Under 214.5 because I think this might be another low scoring game.

EDIT: I got a prop on Max Kleber P+R+A Over 12.5 @ 1.76

Celtics are in a beast mode, with 25 points in the first half alone, being double digits down in the in the first half but still won the quarter by 11 points.

I did go on the under score, but it seems that the Celtics is shooting high percentage already. 9 out of 11 in the three point area, leading by 11 points in the first quarter.

I'll probably do some live betting after the second half, will wait and see how the Miami will settle down. Maybe this will be a repeat of the first game wherein they made a huge rally to win big.

The Under doesn't look really good right now, it's currently at 220.5 at half-time from what was 207.5 before the game, but being close to be a blowout win for the Celtics could help keep it under if they're not fast game as they did in the fist half.

My props doesn't look too good too, Oladipo with 0 points 0/2 attempts, but Robert Williams with 5 points already could help me get even, however he might get a very limited time in the 2nd half if the Heat are unable to make a run to keep it close in the 3rd Q.

Edit: Finished 1 of 2 with my bet tonight, Williams didn't play much in the 3rd Q and start out 4th Quarter but thanks to Erik Spoelstra for keeping Oladipo in the game even after emptying his bench and he finished with 14 points.

Milan, of course, would really like to win and win the long-awaited Scudetto, but do not forget that Sassuolo is certainly not eager to help Milan in this Grin
However, Sassuolo isn't a really strong team to stop AC Milan from winning the scudetto. After a long waiting, AC Milan won't miss this opportunity, they must already prepare anything to beat Sassuolo. We all know that AC Milan current performance is very awesome, they defeated some strong teams in Serie A. They defeated Atalanta, Fiorentina, Lazio, Napoli, and even Inter Milan, this simply showed their strong motivation/ambition to win the scudetto this season. So, Sassuolo won't be a big obstacle for AC Milan, they must win the scudetto.

While I agree that AC Milan won't be stopped, not this time, they'll give everything to win this game, but I would love some drama to happen during the game, like Milan going behind first and Inter Milan leading against Sampdoria, it's always very interesting to witness this type of scenario in the final day of the season, except of course you're fan of either team. That being said, I'd say it would be very deserving for AC Milan to say the least, I didn't consider them as title at the start of the season, and looking at how well they've held it down, over the last 9-10 games playing so many big teams and getting result, it's truly commendable!
3247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 20, 2022, 12:03:24 AM
I believe it's going to be an entirely different game from what we witnessed in game, Al Horford is cleared to play game which was unexpected before, and Marcus Smart is likely going to play too. I guess that's why the line is different from game 1's

I think it's gonna be another win for Heat, but I won't be putting any money on that.

I don't find the Over 207.5 spread not so convincing either, even it hit effortlessly in game 1 but instead I'll be taking a few props on Robert Williams and Victor Oladipo

Robert Williams: Over 8.5 points @ 2.05

Victor Oladipo: Over 7.5 points @ 1.87

I guess it's safe to assume that Everton are intentional about getting relegated, aren't they ?

Draw against Watford should have been bad enough, but then losing against Brentford and now 2 goals down against Crystal Palace, without any real sense of urgency. I'm pretty sure they'd likely lose the last game to Arsenal as well, but Leeds would need a win against Brentford if that happens to stay up.

So much for playing safe in the pool, I had Everton to win because of their relegation battle, but I didn't do same for Burnley who are in the lead against Villa.

Well Everton have equalised now to make it 2-2 and Burnley are drawing with Villa at 1-1. If these stay as draws it will certainly spice things up for the relegation battle. Gonna be very dicey for Leeds if both Burnley and Everton manage to grab the full three points now. I'm kinda hoping they both end a draw so there's everything for all three to play for.

Chelsea are also drawing 1-1 against Leicester right now.

Edit: Oh shit, Everton have come from 2-0 down to be winning 3-2 with only a few minutes to go!

What a complete turnaround from Everton, It's as though they read my initial message, but for the sake of my pick in the pool, I'd love to see Chelsea and Aston Villa both get a 2-1 win.

Oh well! It's official, Everton are safe and would be playing in the EPL next season.

As we head into the final games of a long season, this is how the pool looks. It’s very close between the top guys or the money the money spots. Who do you think will land the top prize?

Well you could have at least posted the top ten which I'm just clinging on to by half a point  Grin.

If Everton and Villa win today does that mean Leeds are relegated? Palace are currently 1-0 up against Everton and Burnley are drawing with Villa so I guess they're still in it. Shame Liverpool couldn't get all three points earlier in the month against Spurs as that will have certainly spiced things up for Sunday. Liverpool need to win and either hope City lose or get a draw but I can't see Villa beating City away. Liverpool should probably easy take Wolves at Anfield but it won't matter if City win.

Golden State Warriors to claim Game 1 -5.5.
No disrespect for the Mavericks but this team is full of experience and it might need some "getting to know each other" phase for the Mavs to equal their pace, especially in a homecourt advantage.
Over 212.5 could be possible to hit as both teams will play fast with transition plays and mostly outside shooting with less defense.
Otto Porter Jr. was cleared to play. Good luck to everyone.

I really don't want to undermine Mavericks here tbh, not after what happened in the Semifinals vs Suns, I think the Mavericks can win game 1, Warriors were able to get past the Grizzlies while making so many mistakes and playing inconsistently, that can't be case vs Mavs, they'd need to be consistent all through each game.

I'm settling for the Under 212.5 here.

Gl!

I think I'd be going with the over and the Warriors here.  Dallas has surprised so far in the playoffs, but I think Wiggins and Green will be able to hold Luka under control while Steph and Klay shoot the lights out.  I actually think they'll probably score 230+ and the Warriors will win by 10+ but I didn't think the Mavericks could beat the Suns either so we'll have to wait and see.  Luckily for us we won't have to wait long as the game is tonight being televised on TNT.  That means we get to watch Shaq, Chuck, Ernie, & Kenny do their thing during the breaks.  That's arguably more entertaining than the game itself...

The game played out as a 112-87 win for the Warriors, just like I predicted that I foresaw a low scoring game, although that could have been due the awful shooting from the Mavs today with Doncic being defended aggressively as well. Warriors did give up a lot of turnovers but that wasn't enough to keep Mavericks in the game, both teams had to empty there bench with well over 4 minutes to there about to go.

I've said before both teams have their respective advantages it's just that no one can resist that luck which is on the Frankfurt side
Even though Rangers lost, it's not a bad team they're just unlucky this year

Frankfurt deserves this trophy by all means, and It's definitely not about luck being on their side, They eliminated both Barcelona and West Ham subsequently, that's definitely not what luck gets you, I'd say.  It was a quite even game imo, and could have gone either ways, but the most important thing to agree with is that Frankfurt were just brilliant in the tournament and got the ultimate prize.
3254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 18, 2022, 06:48:35 PM
I don't know if Barcelona is going to play a very sweaty game against Villarreal because they have already secured their position in the league. so I don't think this match will have any importance to Barcelona.
Maybe it's true because whatever results Barcelona get in the match against Villareal will have no effect on their position in the standings. But you certainly know that a team like Barcelona always think that H2H and their record against other teams is still something important to maintain, so defeat is something they will avoid Villareal.

But of course when someone wants to bet something on this match then I think the risk can increase. I believe Barcelona probably won't lose, but a draw is still very possible.

I don't think Barcelona would take the game lightly even if though they've secured the 2nd spot, but that said it's going to be tough game, but I don't Barcelona would play to lose and it might be worthy of a bet on Barcelona to win.

The same can't be said of Real Madrid who still have a champions league final coming up, I'd expect Ancellotti to rest his best players or give them a very limited time of play.

The Celtics defense has top notch so far in this game, and they seem to have figured something out against Heat, unlike when the played Bucks they depended more on the ball from behind arc, however they've been going to the paint for most of their points so far. It's still a recoverable lead for the Celtics, but if they are able to continue with such an impressive defense in the 2nd half, then I'm afraid that they'll not lose this game.

Looks like my bet over 203.5 would hit, except there is an extremely low scoring 2nd half (below 88 points).

I’m seeing odds of MIA -1.5 with an implied final score I’d Boston 101 - Miami 102.5. I have no idea who will win, but I tend to think Boston has a small advantage. It will be interesting to see how game 1 goes. I think a lot of my opinion will come from seeking how the game goes. In my opinion, Bam Adebayo is going to play a large role in the series. If he’s able to shut down the Celtics in the lane, I think Miami has a good shot. On the other side, if Al Horford can keep the chip on his shoulder and have a couple good games, the Celtics will be difficult to stop.

Both Marcus Smart and Al Horford are out of game 1, Al Horford is said to be under health and safety protocol, I don't know how many games he'd miss for that and really I also don't think Robert Williams is 100% fit for the game either.

I guess with that I would go with Heat to win game 1, although I still believe in a close game here.

Truly incredible how Arsenal let go of an almost consummated chance to enter the UCL. Now they have to wait for Totenham to lose in order for them to have a chance.
We are all waiting to see what Newcastle's big signings are in the coming season.

The Premier League is full of surprises as always and I too was surprised by Arsenal not winning but the fact is that maybe they took it easily.Tottenham from my point of view is the team that deserves the least to enter the Champions League based on how unstable they are but if they earn it,they deserve it then, that is the beauty of football.Unfortunately this ends this month and we have to wait until August for other great action.

Speaking of surprises, despite Liverpool being quite dominating, Southampton have just a taken an early lead against Liverpool, and I hope it doesn't become too hard for them to overturn this, because anything less than a win here would confirm City as the league winners.

No Salah or Mane, with Diaz on the bench too, means Liverpool are shot of their main attacking threats but would Firmino and Jota be able to save the day ?

Liverpool to win is now @ 2.10, fair deal ?
3260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 17, 2022, 03:42:13 AM

I personally think that they'll do well against The Saints and there is a glimmer of hope for them to get to the top so I doubt that they are going to lose either way. Aside from that Southampton only won once over the last 10 EPL games so I guess it should be another 3 points for Liverpool unless they pretty much screw this one up

I don't think Liverpool would mess this up, Southampton just don't have anything to play for and they've been all nothing but awful as in the last 2 months+ as arallmuus have said, It should be an effortless win for Liverpool regardless.

I'm up for some last gameday drama  Cheesy

Now they'll need to depend on Tottenham to lose to an already relegated Norwich

Good chances for Son to score few more goals to outlead Salah

I really for a while thought Harry Kane would allow/offer Son to take the penalty against Burnley, but I understand that there's more at stake for team/club as a whole than Son winning the golden boot, and with Salah not available for the clash against Southampton and probably the last game too, Son chances is looks good.
