I think that I'm going to watch the Milan - Liverpool game on the next week. It is a crucial game for Milan to have a chance for continuing in this tournament. And the last Liverpool - Milan game was really delightful. Despite Liverpool's scoring first, Milan turned the game around. But Liverpool also did the same and won by 3-2. If we consider that Milan made them big difficulties in Anfield, they can really beat Liverpool in San Siro.
What a battle it is in group B between Porto, Athletico Madrid and AC Milan, only one of this teams will join Liverpool in the next round, obviously the reds are already through and have topped the group. Imo, I think Milan could actually have the advantage cause Liverpool have qualified already and may decide to field a very young and inexperienced team and through that way give fringe players some game time, and as such, Milan might find it easy to win, and then since Athletico Madrid and Porto will both be playing for their lives, they could end up with a draw which would see Milan go through.

Having said that, anything is possible in this group, it's still possible for either Milan, Porto and Athletico Madrid to go through, it's going to be a crazy and unpredictable final matchday in group B, personally, I'd want Ac Milan to qualify for the round of 16, it's been a long time we saw them in that stage in the CL.

Ronaldo again shows he is a goal machine for Manchester United and he can contribute so much for them. It is just how they will use Ronaldo to get goals and won't let him affects so much on their defense ability especially defense in midfield.
Ronaldo is absolutely unplayable, even at this age, it's wonderful to still see him firing on all cylinders in the EPL yet again, I also think this was a very good time for him to return to Manchester United, the team is really struggling, thus they need a player who can effortlessly put the ball in the back of the net, and no one in world football does it better than Ronaldo, if Manchester United are going to make it into one of the top four positions or have a strong finish in the EPL and other competitions they are in, then it'll be as a result of the Ronaldo effect and his many goals.

Having said that, players like Ronaldo that do so much in the opposition box, and score quite a lot of goals do not really do too much in the defensive aspect for their team, and it's understandable, that's the same case with Lionel Messi, the teams they play for will have to excuse them of any defensive duties like tracking back or chasing opposition players when they are trying to build up an attack. With all the goals Ronaldo can get a team, then surely he can do no wrong.

Everton are thinking of sacking Rafael Benitez or the director of football Marcel Brands by the end of this week. I wonder what the real reason behind their incredibly bad form in the recent times is. Maybe the game plan is the reason or it is caused by an in-team problem maybe. Whatever the reason is, they need to end it at the earliest opportunity. Otherwise a very tough season is ahead of them.
Rafa Benitez faces another possibility of being sacked, that will further affect his career negatively, Everton are nowhere near were they want to be, and the board will want to do something as soon as possible so things do not get worse than they already are, and in football, it's always the manager that faces the axe, and it is very possible Rafa will be relieved of his duties sooner rather than later. Everton have enough quality in their team to keep them in the top 8, so currently, they are way below their standards.
3244  Economy / Economics / Re: Another One Bites the Dust: Entebbe Int. Airport falls to China's Debt Trap on: December 02, 2021, 07:56:32 PM
To be honest, I actually believe this is going to be the case for quite a lot of countries and organizations that are indebted to China, China are doing what they need to do to be the number one economy in the world, and if you look at it from all angles you can't really blame them, they are willing to grant you loans and add clauses that will favor them in the end, should in case you do not pay, but the country also has the right to reject such clauses and by extension, reject the loan outrightly.

But many of these countries and very corrupt, they are mostly underdeveloped and developing countries, and when they take this loans, they hardly put it into good use, making it impossible for them to pay back. I'm of the impression that if some of this money borrowed from China is actually used for the development of the country taking the loans, then they could actually have a way to pay back, but majority of the money is embezzled, and then in the end it all favors China. The Chinese government may actually be giving this loans knowing fully well this countries would not be able to pay back which is wrong in a way, but the fact remains that the erring country broke the terms of an agreement and rightfully have to lose something.

Phew, your story was actually long, but yet fun to read and easily applicable to the Bitcoin network, I do hope newbies have the patience to read it, having said that, I can only but buttress what you've actually said, as a newbie, knowing fully well you're only new to the network, you'll have to learn all there is to learn, and if possible start from the easiest way to make profit in the network, for example, buying Bitcoins and holding for it to accumulate profits.

Trading of any type is actually not as easy as most newcomers take it to be and they go into it without doing any research or trying to learn the ropes, that's the reason why they run into losses, and it all stems from their desire to get rich quick/immediately, on a general point of view, I am of the believe that if a newcomer genuinely has the intentions of learning in the first place and not earning straight away, then they'll prolly not incure losses and will definitely make good ROI, if not in the short term, but definitely in the long run.
3246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Growing Bitcoin demand among people.... on: December 02, 2021, 05:59:31 PM
The influx of investors into the Bitcoin network would definitely continue to increase, I have the feeling that it (mass adoption) has taken massive step forward in the last one year, starting from the beginning of the pandemic till now, I think many people are coming to the realization that's it's massively beneficial to be their own bank and control their finance, and not keep it in a bank account that the government can freeze at anytime, I also believe many other people and institutions are aware of how inflation continually affects the traditional financial institutions, thus they are running to the Bitcoin network to use it as a hedge to fiat devaluation, etc.

Having said that, I expect the demand to keep increasing, most governments may still remain hostile to it, and try to create CBDC's to divert people's attention from Bitcoin, but the more individuals become aware of the benefits of the Bitcoin network, they will pay less attention to the many anti-Bitcoin policy and ploy of the government and subsequently the demand of Bitcoin will continue to grow.
3247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: December 02, 2021, 05:11:13 PM
Hello everyone, my question is: how often do you invest in new and young projects? Aren't you afraid of losing money if the project closes?
If you're actually asking this question genuinely, and this isn't an attempt at shilling, then I'd say I do not frequently invest in new projects, for me, it takes quite a lot before I can put my money into a project, I have to go through a lot of research and findings to discover if the project has a use case, if it's sustainable for the long term, what are the goals of the project, etc, but mind you that many projects fail to get a pass mark in all of this, and as such I just concentrate my investments in Bitcoin, ethereum, and other few coins I believe in to be actually worthwhile.

I've not heard about the coin you mentioned here, but it looks more or less like a pump and dump coin, and like I said, if this thread isn't actually an attempt at shilling, then I'd say you should do more research into the project, and generally you should stop going after new projects that lack vision, but invest in Bitcoin and hodl for the long period, it'll definitely turn out to be more profitable.
3248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Altcoin for December ? on: December 02, 2021, 04:54:36 PM
As we know the month of December has always been special for both bull run and bear matket so what's your plan for this December? Which altcoins are you going to invest this month? We need to take calculated risk since the market will either surge to unexpected level or will witness another correction phase or bearish market. I would select ADA as it has lot of potential and will surely trade in double digit.
I for one generally consider altcoins to be short term projects, thus if this question is asked of me, I'd say the altcoin I'll always pick over others is ethereum, why because I'm a long term investor, and eth is like the only altcoin that's sustainable for the long period just like Bitcoin is, however if I'm looking for short term ROI and quick exit, then I'd seek lower altcoins that are more or less pump and dump coins and maybe try my luck, this coins are very risky and you can lose a lot with them, that's why you should never forget to invest only what you can afford to lose.

Having said that, do not always go with people's ideas of the coin they want to invest in, always do your own research and come to your own conclusions, users would always pick the coins that they have in their possession and advise you to buy it, always ensure that your decision to invest in a particular coin stems from your research and believe in that very coin.
3249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Expectation About Polygon (MATIC) Token for 2022 on: December 02, 2021, 02:40:57 PM
Hi friends, what's your expectations about Polygon (MATIC) Cryptocurrency for 2022?
Nothing is definite in the crypto industry, you can think a coin will dump, and then it doesn't, and you can also feel a coin will pump, and then it doesn't, so it's up to you to do your research and if you believe in the project that it will continue to rise, then you can invest in it. Mind you also that when you ask questions like this, users tend to speak positively about the project/coin if they are holding it, or are regular investors of the project, they do this to create hype and pump the coin. Having said that, I've done only a little research into the Matic project, and I'd say my expectations aren't too high, but it's very possible they'll do better next year, but you must also take note that's there's a high possibility of coins like this to pump and subsequently dump, so invest only what you can afford to lose.
3250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 02, 2021, 02:24:17 PM
Manchester United v Arsenal game is going to be a quite challenging game for both teams.
Really challenging, and very crucial for both teams cause they are in dire need of the win, Manchester United are slowly trying to regain their form, while Arsenal are trying to get more wins to push them up the table into one of the top four positions, and then there is the bragging rights for both teams and their fans of course. Manchester United v Arsenal some couple of years ago, held more importance than it is right now, as both teams were on top of English football back then, but it is what it is, and they must start to win games and subsequently, trophies, to get to that point they were previously.

Having said that, I think Arsenal are the favorites to win this game, they are the team in better form, that's not to say they are in scintillating form by the way, but they are slightly better than Manchester United and that could come into play in this game, if Arsenal wins by the way, it puts more pressure on United as it'll increasingly look possible for them to miss out on CL football next season, except of course they win the CL this season, which is highly improbable
3251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 02, 2021, 08:23:17 AM
Barcelona are in a really troubling situation now in their group. Maybe they are still at the second position but they are only two points ahead of Benfica before the last matches. Benfica would defeat D. Kyiv easily most probably as D. Kyiv have no aim left in the CL. In that situation, Barcelona will have to defeat Bayern Munich away. Barcelona have started recovering as of Xavi's coming and they have made some changes in their game plan. But I wonder if Bayern Munich will let them win even though they are the leader of the group for certain.
There is no way Bayern can let them win, that's obviously not allowed in football, the only thing you can say is that, Bayern will prolly field a weaker team to give other fringe players some game time as they have already qualified and topped the group as well, thus if that is the case, Barcelona then automatically have the advantage, but we'd have to see the team list for Bayern first.

Having said that, all the pressure will be on Barcelona, they can't afford to drop to the Europa league, it'll affect their club reputation, they'll be hoping Dynamo Kyiv puts up a fight against Benfica and they themselves get the result against Bayern, it's really going to be an interesting final matchday in that group, and the final outcome could have real consequences.
3252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 02, 2021, 07:44:34 AM
But it is very difficult to be able to predict the probable winner this time as both teams are superb now.
I really do not think so, in the Bundesliga, Bayern have established a sort of untouchable dominance and other teams find it difficult to compete with them, I know Dortmund aren't doing too badly themselves of late, but coming up against the Kings of Germany, Bayern Munich, It's clear that Dortmund have little or no chances of winning, if Dortmund wins or gets a draw, then an upset took place, cause ordinarily, Bayern Munich should take all three points.
Leipzig is dealing with some Corona cases. Head coach Jesse March is affected. Some players have also tested positive and co-coach Achim Beierlorzer is in quarantine. As things stand, however, the match against Union Berlin will take place.
The spread of covid19 looks to be gradually increasing again, even with yet another variant of the virus mutating/spreading slowly around the world, I just hope we do not have to go back to total lockdown and football games have to be played in an empty stadium. btw, I think this is a wake-up call for everyone, including the players to get vaccinated.
3253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: November 28, 2021, 09:37:05 PM
A great opportunity has been opened for Arsenal to return to the top 4 after successfully improving the quality of their game and performance this season. West Ham's defeat to Manchester City made Arsenal increasingly motivated to get sweeter results in every game. If they are able to maintain this good form then they will have a great chance of returning to the Champions League next season. But unfortunately the league is still quite long and these team still have a chance to continue to safe points.
It would really be great if Arsenal can return to the CL, their present form isn't as bad as it was in the beginning of the season, but the thing is that Arsenal sure know how to capitulate and whenever they face a big team they lose without actually putting up a real fight, the season is still long, but I can't trust Arsenal to remain consistent and finish in one of the top four positions. In my opinion I feel Arteta's job could be threatened if he at least does not finish in one of the top four spots, he has been given quite a lot of time by the Arsenal board, and at the very least, they should be playing CL football, I'd love to see what happens if Arsenal fail to qualify for the CL.
3254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 28, 2021, 09:08:46 PM
Manchester United believe Ralf Rangnick's expected arrival at Old Trafford will give them the advantage in the race to sign Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland, 21, from Borussia Dortmund next summer. Personally, I think for Haaland these 3 things will be much more important: money, money and money
I do not think Manchester United has any chance of signing Haaland, and it's not really even about the money, it's cause Manchester United is a club that's performing poorly at the moment, and could prolly miss out on champions league football, and to be honest, a player who's firing on all cylinders like Haaland, and looking to take his career to the next level should not move to Manchester United, there are other big clubs that want to sign him as well, City is a better option if you ask me, and pep may be very Influential in taking Haalands career to the next level.
3255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to my bitcoin if I die today? on: November 28, 2021, 07:58:48 PM
So it is better if you keep written the recovery phase in a secret place. And keep it that way so that one of your next generation can get it as a hidden treasure
If you do this then you run the risk of absolutely no one having access to your funds when you're gone, I'm saying that cause you cannot be sure that any member of your family will be able to locate your seed phrase when you're gone and thus it could be gone forever, I'd say if you have a trusted person, it's much better to educate that person about the network and then find a way give such person access to your funds. In order not to risk losing your funds to the persons folly, you need to carefully teach the person about Bitcoin and do your research on the safest way to hand over your funds when you're gone, other than this very thread, this subject has been discussed quite a lot of times already, so use the search button to do your research about how best one can inherit your funds and then implement the one that suits you most.
3256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys think 0.1BTC is enough to "make it"? on: November 28, 2021, 07:39:35 PM
It actually depends on what your definition of "make it" is, the thing is that 0.1BTC is relatively a good sum of money now (in some locations, it could be extremely large, in others it could be really small), and even in the future it could be way much larger. Though it may not be way too much right now, but it's a great amount in investment if one has or can accumulate it. Comparing it to owning a mansion could prolly be wrong cause it may not be able to afford it. To own a mansion you have to work really hard and earn quite a lot of money, and it's not by owning 0.1BTC, but mind you that if you've been able to grow a portfolio to 0.1BTC right now, then down the lane in the future you could accumulate the amount in Bitcoin that could afford a mansion.
3257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Is the bubble about to burst?" on: November 28, 2021, 12:10:08 PM
If you are old in crypto, you should not be panic of these dumps as such dumps won't last forever and eventually every crypto currency rises again.
I don't take this to be totally true, if the crypto in question is Bitcoin, then it could be correct as Bitcoin is a long term project that's sustainable and has an actual use case, thus it could undergo correction periods and plunges, but it would eventually rise back up again, that's cause the demand will continue to rise and grow, with the influx of institutional investors, prominent individuals and the rest, Bitcoin is surely going to be around for the long term.

But having said that, I can't think the same of "every crypto", there are many pump and dump coins, lottery coins, useless/scam coins, etc, many of them are going to pump and then dump and never rise again, some others will just be pumped to scam people, and afterwards they'll dump forever, that's the situation with crypto, I believe only Bitcoin and a few other coins (like ethereum) can be trusted not to just dump outrightly.
3258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN DO YOU BUY BITCOIN? on: November 28, 2021, 11:57:33 AM
Thats the most popular strategy and answer, Buy Low Sell High .
This is prolly a strategy that has worked for many investors for quite a long time now, but mind you that most times, especially with good coins, you could be waiting for a dump in order to buy, but during that time, the coin keeps appreciating and you could have made profits if you had bought earlier, that's the reason why when I'm asked such as question as this, I usually try to know the coin it is that the investor actually wants to put some of his or her money into, if it's a pump and dump/lottery coin, then never buy it when the price is high, cause that could be the end of the pump, and it starts to dump immediately you buy, causing you losses, but if it's a coin that has an actual use case and after your research, you're sure it's going to be around for the long term, then you can buy low or high, it really doesn't matter, so long as you've made up your mind to hodl for the long period/time.
3259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN DO YOU BUY BITCOIN? on: November 28, 2021, 09:40:09 AM
The thing is that it depends on you, and what strategy actually works for you, imo, I believe Bitcoin to be a long term project that even if its price plunges, it would still rise back up again, thus if you're a long term investor, everytime is a good time to buy Bitcoin, you can decide to buy gradually at intervals, or buy a large amount all at once, that depends on your financial capability.

Well, if you're new to the network and you prolly can't handle too much pressure as a result of volatility, you can buy when there is a fall in the price/dip, cause most times when newcomers buy when the price is up, they tend to sell out of panic when there is a correction period. Having said that, just do your research generally about the network, highlighting what strategy actually works/suit you, do not hastily copy the strategy of others, it could be unsuitable when you apply it to your investment.
3260  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Scam Exchanges !! on: November 27, 2021, 11:49:20 PM
3) Later with experience you can use small amount to test out exchanges.
This is a very good point to note, even if it has been said for the umpteenth time on the forum, people still fall for fake exchanges by depositing a huge amount of money into the exchange, and immediately their account is locked. The point is, for whatever it is worth, you're advised not to use new exchanges that lacks quality ratings and you do not really know about, but then if you've decided that you want to actually try it out notwithstanding the risk, then the best thing for you to do is to start with a really small amount of money, that way if the exchange locks and steals the money, then you've only lost a very small sum which is more than recoverable.
