Stop this thread immdiately, its just nonsense scaremongering. These exact threads make the price go down because you guys scaremonger eachother. Bitcoin is not dead, go look up the Q1 statistics its higher than ever. https://www.coindesk.com/research/state-of-bitcoin-q1-2015/It's better than ever, anyone who says bitcoin is near death is a paid troll or just an idiot. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) thanks for the link...and btw there are a all of peopels who having a different point of view then yours....yes u r too smart but that's because u had experienced this all I`m just sick of people scaremongering eachother without checking the facts first. From last year, all unique wallet users rised, merchant profit was extremely profitable, venture capital investments grow alot, this was the first year when there were more investments generally other than mining. So the bitcoin economy slowly but steadily expands, the only reason the price is so low is because the government interventions, exchanges got hacked, and mainstream media demonizations. In short bitcoin is being sabotaged but its not working ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Topics like this one are only created and discussed here because people thought that after bubble of 2013 bitcoin rising price will be a trend. Now we see that it was not a trend at all but short lasting occurrence. It's still unknown how bitcoin will scale in the future. For now we have pretty detrimental stagnation of price and people used to higher price of btc are worried over nothing.

Is the noob a millionaire yet?
The odds are slim. Believe it or not, its not easy or else everyone would become one. But atleast the kid has a mindset to start with which most need to develop during crucial decisions in business. It really depends on the kids project on understanding certain things to do. Either self fund, or crowdsource after finding a demand for something. Probably he is not millionaire by now. But he is trying to grab people attention. It is really just his initiative vs. moment of time & luck that will create momentum and opportunity... It is a good thing that he did not resolve to create Ponzi and investing in altcoin.

In the year 2015, 1 Bitcoin will be worth approximately $200. In the year 2016, 1 Bitcoin will be worth approximately $200. In the year 2017, 1 Bitcoin will be worth approximately $200. In the year 2018, 1 Bitcoin will be worth approximately $200. In the year 2019, 1 Bitcoin will be worth approximately $200. In the year 2020, 1 Bitcoin will be worth approximately $201.
It has slowed down a bit...
Actually it is not that far from my expectancy. Seeing how bitcoin price oscillates currently around $200-$250 this sure can happen. I guess people like Op who on a wave of optimism right after that mega spike of bitcon we had in 2013 are not be happy with this scenario of constant price.

$211 is a bit too bullish. It could easily be in lower 100s or two digits by then
You obviously don't have much trust in this coin. BTC is the most revolutionary payment system right now that grows to be more popular each month. "BTC is the most revolutionary payment system right now that grows to be LESS popular each month." I've fixed it for you. It is only because of ignorance of people who are reacting only to every kind of bad news and are totally skeptical towards great and optimistic news like PayPal acceptance or rise of new great exchange markets like Gemini. It it impatience of people who think that if bitcoin is not huge right now it is dead. Bu that is completely not true at all.

I think there’s a really high chance that we see a lot more government action against bitcoin, including the core protocol.
...
I keep talking to regulators at conferences who believe bitcoin simply must change to bring it in line with other payment systems; unfortunately this means adding identity information to bitcoin transactions and making it possible to blacklist funds.
I'll continue to maintain that the best defense to this is to make bitcoin as widely used worldwide directly by people as end-users with their own wallets. If everyone just holds coins or uses bitpay and coinbase, it will be much easier to push regulation into the system. If usage grows globally to be a complicated mess of direct person-to-person usages and numerous small services spread around the world, it will be very hard for a single gov to push regulation in (even for the USSA). We should do the opposite and add more privacy features to clients. Adding finishing touches to an improved stealth address proposal that includes useful features like being usable on mobile wallets without requiring the help of a trusted third party server to identify your incoming payments. I fully support idea of stealth addresses but as long as we have fully centralized exchange services which requires us to deliver our full personal data if we want to sell or buy coins we won't be safe. Government will got our info from crypto exchanges and even with the stealth address we would be fated to pay taxes in the future.

Sam Kaddoura, co-founder of bitcoin exchange, BuyBitcoin.ph, said: "Those who do not want to go through the hassle of opening bank accounts or pass the requirements for credit cards will embrace bitcoins." But in reality opening bank account is not that hard. I imagine that exchanges want from you almost the same kind of credentials as normal banks. And on top of that if Op said that internet connection is not that common among Philippine people and they also do not own smartphones it will be a long way to follow until bitcoin could be used freely.

First and foremost, I am little tired of hearing the same stupid prophecy that Bitcoin is dead, Bitcoin has failed etc. It only show that our community is full of trolls, impatient kids and other individuals who thinks if bitcoin price is not $1000 already it probably is the end of the worlds and we are doomed. People who say things like that naysayers. I wish to see what they would say 5 years ago, when bitcoin price was like non existent.

Are you offering standard bitfinex rate or you are willing to pay extra for being anonymous while buying large batch of bitcoins at once?

Wow, thanks for that. I did not realise that there is site like this where you can download stuff. Gonna check it out. GoT is amazing and all, but I wish George just finish this damn book already! I am so sick of waiting for more tomes to come...

Thank you for you replies: BadBear and hilariousandco. Now I can see that there is some reasoning behind that. Because at first that matter of 'non banning scammers policy" was not really clear to me. I know that forum is not Police or any kind of authority capable of chasing criminals and scammers. And I want to ask one more thing why trust is not visible by default in every subforum (also why trust algorithm is so weird)?

Hi, i am selling this Razer Hydra, its was varely used 2 times.
As you know, Razer Hydra is not being done any more, and is very required for playing PC Games. You can play games with your hand movements with your PC screen or even better, with Oculus Rift.
I will listen to offers. I have 2 of them, wanted to keep one for a future but i will sell it too.
I am from Spain, so depending of your country calculate the price of sending it too.
If you wanted to listen to offers why don't you created this topic in the auction section? You should state the price you are expecting to get. But I have a question does this contraption really make you play better? Because from that I could see it is more likely designed to be part of a Oculus Set. And without it is is not so great alone.

Scammers are not banned. You need to learn to take the appropriate precautions to prevent yourself from getting scammed.
Even if you present sufficient evidence that you were scammed the administration is not going to decide what is a scam and what is not a scam
This rule is just utterly weird for me to understand, if you prove that someone cheated, robbed and scammed you forum staff should ban him immediately. Seeing how you can be banned for posting off topic replies more likely than when you stole coins from people is just, well... hard to accept.

How exactly thi is bitcoin news? it is more like altcoin news as far as I can see. Jed McCaleb is not a visionary like Satoshi was, Jed is a businessman, who will do only something if that benefit him directly. And he would profit from it. Ripple is the prime example of that philosophy.

I would be more worried about finding a bank that won't freeze your funds in the instant your money arrives. And of course with taxes. For such big values any big exchange is good for you.
I would be advised if you could split your coins and do not sell it at once at all. I think your best bet for now is to use localbitcoins.com. You will probably won't be able to sell all your coins at once. But you will be anonymous while doing it. And that in the long run will benefit you more.

Ended 3 minutes ago Untitled Bitcoin Foundation I did not have the chance to watch it unfortunately. Did anyone catched it? Was it something important news or just general, and standard gibberish. Because I don't seem to find anything new and worth mentioning crypto related in the recent reports and news...

I just want to tell you Op that you need to be aware of selling your bitcoin via a major exchange. If you will share your personal information and then conduct a business it will more likely result of this information being processed to government tax agency - IRS (I don't know where are you from tho). You will most likely pay tax later. So I would avoid all major exchanges for now.

Just wondering what you guys think was this just a project that he made whilst being drunk in univeristy and decided to release it and it caught on fast or did he know that it was going to get this big?
It gets better and better ... What next? He coded it whilst sitting on the toilet one night? Well, this is getting more and more interesting. But honestly I am amused by people who are trying to retell others "The Genesis of Bitcoin". And do it in a funny way. I already heard stories that Satoshi is really Kim Jong Un, an Alien, NSA, FBI, CIA agent, genius hacker and many more. But I it is first time I hear this:)

if you are really worried about your bills, then those guys can try cloud mining, there is no bills there, and roi is the same, since those company use the best miner available, it is also less stressful then setup your own miners(no maintanance no noise or ewverything)
But instead of wasting months waiting for your ROI, I would rather go for just buy and hold same as the OP (or else, gamble a bit) ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ROI shouldnt be important in long term... just bet money that you can afford to lose. It's all about big gains long term. And that is not certain in grand scheme of bitcoin scheme. For what we know bitcoin could be replaced with other better cryptocurrency tomorrow (and even if that is unlikely to happen many people believe that it won't be around for 100+ years due to rapid technological progress of hardware). If you only believe that in 20 years you will be millionaire with just couple of bitcoins you are probably wrong.
