3241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Again BTC going down? on: August 01, 2018, 01:04:40 PM
I would call this correction.
When Bitcoin crossed 8000$ there was no guarantee that the price will continue to rise. In fact the growth happen rather fast so little correction was expected.
No matter this drop I don't expect some biger dump but I do expect the price to fluctuate somwhere between 7000$ and 8000$.
3242  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why I don't Support KYC in cryptocurrency as it is on: August 01, 2018, 07:25:52 AM
No one has said that KYC is perfect and that can't be used by scamers too and other people who can misuse this data in some way.
But it's sometimes up to users will they disclose or not their personal and sensitive data. You should always check who is behind such demand, is this some legit institution or something shady that can't be traced and checked.
3243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you do when someone say bitcoin is illegal thing? on: July 31, 2018, 06:42:18 PM
Unfortunately some people still have that opinion and the cause is partialy the very begininig of Bitcoin when it was used for buying goods on illegal markets.
Still many things have changed since then and now it's needed to explain to the people that Bitcoin is not illegal although it's not regulated in every country and that can be legaly used as an investment, asset or payment method. But to fight such prejudice Bitcoin needs better promotion.
3244  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: July 31, 2018, 11:27:57 AM
Just to post the update, the mistery is solved.
Visa is no longer providing crypto back option for my country, that is why is no longer available at my account.
I understand it's the question of Visa policy but I blame Wiex not to send any annoucement about this. They just removed this option without any explanation literary in a day and deprived users from possibility to claim satoshies that were available until that moment.
3245  Economy / Economics / Re: IRAN TO LAUNCH ITS OWN CRYPTOCURRENCY, GOOD OR BAD FOR CRYPTO ADOPTION? on: July 30, 2018, 07:38:21 PM
Iran it's not the first country who introduced its own cryptocurrency. Having in mind previous experiences this is just another crypto that will not affect the crypto world at definetely will not influence on Bitcoin.
Although Iran is controversial country and this might also connected with terrorism financing I don't expect any negative or positive reflection.
This will more or less be used only in promotion purposes.
3246  Economy / Speculation / Re: What would be your wish for BTC ? on: July 30, 2018, 04:14:58 PM
I would like to see Bitcoin equal to fiat currencies. So, legal and regulated everywhere, accepted by businesses and fully implemented in economy.
I.know that all this sounds maybe too ambitious and that to achieve all this Bitcoin has a lot of issues to solve but I think it's possible. Not tomorrow but in some reasonable period of time and with joined efforts of whole crypto community.
3247  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: July 30, 2018, 12:10:45 PM
Anway, does anyone has problems with crypto back feature on Wirex account? It just disappeared few days ago and I can't claim crypto back anymore.

Cryptoback is there for me. And I've just checked it - redeemed some satoshi from "cryptoback" to the wallet - and it works.

That is funny. It worked for me also until this Friday and now it's not showing anymore. I've checked all setings and options in case that this is optional feature that could be turned off but I haven't found anything.
Hope the support will answer soon, I collected nice amount of satoshies and don't want this to be waisted.
3248  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Wirex- Bitcoin Debit Card | Buy Bitcoin | Mobile Banking | Send Money on: July 30, 2018, 08:47:52 AM
it also worked well in all gas stations.

Interesting. I've never had a prepaid card of any type work for fuel in the US, and a few places in Europe too. They all had plenty of balance too. My Xapo card in particular also failed on numerous occasions for bog standard shopping. I called one place up and they couldn't identify what type of card it was.

Never had that popup

Maybe is this some specific US feature. I never had any issues buying gas with prepaid cards. I also used Xapo before Wirex and it also worked fine.

Sent a ticket to Wirex support but no answer yet.

3249  Economy / Speculation / Re: what could cause bitcoin prices to go up and down? on: July 29, 2018, 07:40:20 PM
I want to know what you think, what affects the bitcoin price, so we can find out when to sell and buy bitcoin, because now the bitcoin price drops again  Huh
There's a lot of things that affect the price of Bitcoin, things like news from various media sources, reputable or not, will often cause the price to move a lot even if there are rumblings of something happening to one of the alpha markets for Bitcoin. Hell, people were saying that China was banning Bitcoin when it was one banning ICOs and it most likely came down to a translation error in someone's article. There's also whale manipulation which is going to make the price move dramatically, and more often than not market movements can be attributed to some kind of manipulation. There's also the normal supply and demand that affects the market, and that was probably one of the driving forces over the most recent price spike.

I would say that different media news don't influence Bitcoin price significantly or at least not at long term. As well as some political news in different countries.
Those news in media or social networks are able to make some mess on the market but still the greates influence on price have the demand and supply.
3250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Again BTC going down? on: July 29, 2018, 12:40:33 PM
A slight correction has happened in the last couple of days but now it's again over 8000$.
I would call this normal, fluctuation of Bitcoin price is something very usual having in mind volatility.
To my opinion the price will stay somwhere around current price with some corrections up or down. But I don't expect some biger dumps or pumps in the upcoming period.
3251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can actually Bitcoin be good for the environment? on: July 29, 2018, 11:38:19 AM
Having in mind huge amount of electricity that Bitcoin mining farms are using then Bitcoin is not environment friendly.
Still with alternative sources of energy, like wind that is used for electricity production this might change a bit. And especialy with some sustainable energy sources which I beleive would be available for mass usage soon.
3252  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I SOLD ALL MY BITCOINS on: July 29, 2018, 11:09:51 AM
Pitty that you had to sell all your Bitcoins but the good thing is that Bitcoin gave you the opportunity to cover your debts. So I think this is another positive story how Bitcoin helped people with their financial situation.
Hope you will find enough funds to further invest in Bitcoin or even better the way to earn it and by saving it have another back up for situation like this or to cover some other financial needs or desires in your life.
3253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULD WE GET ALL HATERS OF BITCOIN OUT OF HERE? on: July 29, 2018, 07:36:49 AM
Everyone has the right to their own opinion, even those who don't like Bitcoin. And they have the right to express their opinion publicly. Also different people have different experiences and some had bad experiences with Bitcoin.
Anyway, the best way is to fight then with arguments and to debate about pro and contra.
Some might even change their mind and think positive about Bitcoin.
3254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin prices are controlled. Accidentally or intentionally? on: July 28, 2018, 06:38:08 PM
It's funny how stories about control of Bitcoin price appear in time when the price is low or falling. And no one is starting that subject when the price is high. So the conclusion is that people are trying to justify their loss somehow.
To me this is more like a conspiracy theory. Whales are influental but not that much to fuly control the price and the range of value. Just accept that Bitcoin is volatile and dependent on the market.
3255  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government really scary? on: July 28, 2018, 04:37:57 PM
Governments is scary because they don't know how to get tax from crypto currencies and how to set up a tax reforms on it since they all belong to traditional taxing and money management. Yes, the government is scary because the financial institutions are making false statements and giving baseless acquisitions about crypto to governments to make their business safe.

Well, I can't agree with that statement, at least not in full.
Governments do know how to tax Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and in most countries they do. You have to pay tax on Bitcoin transactions, there is nothing new about that.
What is currently an issue is regulation. This is something that might help to treat cryptocurrencies in right way but many governments don't have clear idea yet how this should look like.
So there is certain fear especialy regarding illegal use and black economy but this is something that to my opinion will be solved soon.
3256  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nowadays, even ordinary laptops can mine bitcoins. on: July 28, 2018, 07:15:40 AM
not just laptops and computers, even today we can use some smartphones used to mine, I've seen some people using Samsung S5 for mining

because the capacity of the Samsung S5 is very large and supports mining, in addition, we can mine by using ASIC.

Yes, maybe laptops and even some smartphones have technical preconditions for mining. But what would be the final result, is it's profitable? No, it's not.
Today it's not worth to cope with mining unless you have mining farm. Expenses that you as an individual have would much exceed your earning. So, don't go for such form of mining, it's not worth the costs and efforts.
3257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you still believe in btc price predictions? on: July 27, 2018, 06:50:56 PM
I don't and actualy never did.
In majority of cases predictions are just pure guessing and many sources are unreliable. It's realy hard to find some grounded, thorough analysis based prediction that is using reliable data. But even in such case that could only be just guidelines, not something you stick to like it would definetely happen.
My advice is to take predictions with caution and don't base your investment plan purely on them.
3258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances BTC is replaced by something better soon? on: July 27, 2018, 01:59:13 PM
There is a big chance that in the near future bitcoin will be gone or be replace by other coin in market. There are more promising altcoin now compare to bitcoin but it has low popularity compare to it. But in the future these altcoins or icos will be in top that time and might have bigger value compare to bitcoin right now.

I don't agree with that.
It's true that many prosperous coins appear on the market but they usualy come and go. And none of them so far hasn't grown even near to Bitcoin. The best job so far has done Ethereum but even that coin isn't threat to Bitcoin.
To my opinion the coin that could replace Bitcoin should rely on completely new, revolutionary technology that would be miles better than Bitcoin and blockchain and I don't see something like that in the near future.
I'm convinced that Bitcoin will keep the throne for many years.
3259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Craze! Bitcoin Price Jump Up To $350 In 24 Hours on: July 27, 2018, 07:56:18 AM
Such quick price changes are nothing unsual for Bitcoin, we ve seen such situations many times before. Still such quick jumps don't mean that the price will continue to rise up so quickly because jump back is possible too.
At the moment it looks like there is a slight correction after the price went back under 8000$.
So never give the conclusions too quickly.
3260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do whales really control the market, or is that a myth on: July 26, 2018, 04:37:41 PM
To my opinion the role of whales is exaggerated. In certain way they have influence on the market but too often they are given power that they don't actualy have.
The market manipulation whales can perform is not so substantial as many believe. And whales are often excuse for unconvenient situation that some users experienced but they can't control market in such extension that this would influence average user.
