3241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: September 13, 2021, 08:24:57 PM
As a non-expert in crypto I see this falls into the right category for building a crypto portfolio but not in a single coin. If you see that there are now many investors who are present day by day, then the opportunity for prices to increase will exist. Why? because the price decreases or increases in the market depending on the quantity demanded. That's my opinion.
Well most of us cannot predict the market well so maybe we are mostly non-expert here. But starting to build a portfolio with this current market situation is never a bad idea but make sure you are into coins with high potentials so that once the market dumps, they will have all the chances to recover again.

And looking at the previous events in the market, i don't think we will have the same dip scenario from 2018 because crypto at that time was never really that popular and its adoption is still very slim but seeing the market now has improved a lot then maybe it will be very different now. Of course dips is still inevitable but the market won't really fall that dip as before.
3242  Economy / Economics / Re: Two basic things that can give you an advantage on: September 13, 2021, 07:46:26 PM
Remaining calm is always the best thing you can do. The past has told us that most people who haven't sold their coins have made decent profits by just holding onto them.

I'd definitely by bitcoin at a drop, not sure about the top 10 though as they might suffer harder than btc and a few of them (usdc and doge) might be bad for long term holding.
Keeping calm and having absolute patience are the two advantages of investing.
A decline in the market will also be an opportunity. But be aware of the long-term overall coin market trends, and don't make emotional investments.
The top coins cannot be bought intuitively. Don't buy hype coins when the market is generally down.
Hyped coins are less likely to survive when the market has a long dump but when we chose to buy for those established and top 10 coins in the market, they have all the chances to recover again. Prioritize bitcoin because its the most profitable digital currency in the crypto market.

I have been dealing this market's bull and bear season for such a long time and being patient and calm especially when there is really a long dump can be very helpful so you can create huge profits after long term holding. Of course having a good amount of funds so we can buy at the dip is also very necessary too so we can take advantage with the current dip.
3243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 13, 2021, 02:07:48 PM
Inoue will not be concerned about Donaire so he will give him a rematch, he beat him once, and now that he has a belt, maybe they could unify that belt and Inoue will be the undisputed champion. The good thing here is Inoue and Casimero are willing to fight Inoue, this is easy for Inoue to prove that he is the best, but of course, right after the Casimero fight.

The scenario after Casimero vs Inoue will be:

If Inoue wins, Casimero will ask for a rematch.
If Casimero wins, Inoue will ask for a rematch.

Then regardless of the result:

Donaire will challenge Casimero and Inoue.

In the end, if Naoya finished the 2 PH boxers successfully without losing, he will now climb up the ladder and the belt will be left to top contenders at that division.

If Inoue wins, I doubt he will give a rematch to Casimero. His next fight will be against Donaire, and if he again wins the 2nd time around, I guess he would just move to a new division so he can continue his journey in chasing the pound for found king.

Inoue is currently rank at the number 2, https://www.ringtv.com/ratings/

Canelo is sitting at the number 1, well deserved for him but Inoue could go up in weight and hopefully he would be able to bring the speed and power.
3244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 13, 2021, 01:48:08 PM
Hey kabarangay's out there, too early to say that the Kings will not reached even the semifinals. Standing is just a standing. If they can make even at least on the last spot to enter the next round, that's all good and win loss record will be reset. The only advantage of standing is the post-elimination spot. Knowing Gin Kings, they are shown at their best when they are in a do-or-die situation so just relax. Smiley

Time Cone is making CStand ripe on his system that's why even the chemistry is still not there, he will just continue with his usual rotation until that chemistry now finally blends.
I also have that mentality but with a bad standing, that makes everyone think of how they'll be ending with. But if there are still games remaining for them, they have to be the best of them for those matches because if they keep ending with a bad standing and more lose, then we all agree that it's going to be what will be their fate for this season.

If they won't do good this conference, there's still the next conference that they might be successful. Tim Cone will be a legend in the PBA, and he will do everything to make Ginebra a championship again, let's just give other teams to improve so we will not see them in the Finals all the time.
That's always the case for every team that if they fall short on this current season, they always have the next season. But it is likely that there will be another batch of those players that are about to receive offers from the B League just as the others have already taken the offers. Well in this case, that's just my anticipation since a lot of news did came with that.
The season is long, they'll have a conference and it's easier for them to bounce back as every conference means another opportunity to be in the PBA finals. This conference is probably an ALL FILIPINO CUP because there's no import, so maybe after this, it will still be the same set up as we are still in the pandemic and most likely new conference is still in a bubble format.

But we have our trust and have seen how Gin Kings always gets up and we just have to wait for their next matches if there's an improvement.
Slowly but surely maybe.
For the Gin Kings, we'll see and we only have to wait, watch and enjoy.
Agree, but I'm not enjoying if my team is struggling anyway.  Sad
3245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 13, 2021, 08:19:38 AM
<snip>
The rules of the coins.ph especially the major rules are based on the law of the land.

We should not be disappointed if we get our accounts block because ignorance of the law excuses no one, and when it says don't use your account for gambling purposes, then just follow if you don't want any problem.

Well, some people from before who uses Coins.ph wallet to send and receive crypto funds coming from online casinos were Ignorant. They've missed the company TOS which is the very vital step before using a platform. As result, their account was investigated, some of them were freeze, some had their transaction limit reduced.

Now that everyone is well aware about this rule, we can actually use another method to avoid our Coins account associated with online gambling.
I don't think they should be called "ignorant" as it is really has different meaning than what are being discussed here. Probably they just do not know that such terms exists so they're doing it. They're either not informed or they didn't read the terms of service of Coins.ph. Lets not pretend that we all are always reading those Smiley

No one will inform you as we are using an online platform, it's not like a scenario where you go to the banks and you can talk to the person that will interview you before you account is approved, here online, the set of rules are already ready to read and before you click that okay, make sure you read the TOS of the site, if you don't read, that will make you ignorant.

3247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shall We Hold Our Bitcoin Like Gollum? on: September 12, 2021, 11:55:30 PM
It is your choice to sell or to hold like gollum. If you release your coins to market today, you will not regret it because the price of bitcoin is still good to make a good profit.
Since the price of bitcoin is not too stable yet, it is advisable to users to sell and make more Profit before the price of bitcoin decrease to $30k soon. It is better you sell and make something from your investment than to hold it long and lose  more Profit.

But every decision that we will made, never do all in in every trade because the price of bitcoin or most of cryptocurrency is unpredictable.
Just do it like 5% 5% in every decision we made for selling or for buying just in case to secure our assets from losing too much.
Planning for long time holding is also good and keep focus on buying more when the market is like current condition but it only works if we are planning to hold for more than 4 years.
I never intend to hold bitcoin like gollum because i have my own set of plans when to buy and when to sell. I do buying everytime the market shows real dips because there are times that they eventually recover again so the price is not really in its dip. And when i think i need more profits for my own satisfaction then i really do selling when i see good opportunity. No one's gonna stop me because i have set already my plan and i chose to stick on it. Holding like gollum is only good if you are sure already with the coins you want to hold.
3248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: End of bull run so we sell everything? on: September 12, 2021, 11:16:20 PM
This has been something I have found difficult to decide on . When this bill run ends in a couple of months time should I sell all my VET and XRP then buy back in when the market turns bearish until the next bullrun?

Or do I only sell a portion of what I have and hold the rest for another 4 years. Reason I am asking is could XRP and VET continue to rise once the bull run ends ? I obviously don’t want to sell all my tokens to find they are continuing to rise in a bear market

What are your thoughts ?
When it comes to altcoins the right decision is always to sell, the crashes they go through are incredible and many coins that looked to be incredibly solid crashed to levels many people never suspected possible and in many cases the coins disappeared or never recovered, so if I was in your position there is no way I would held those coins after I can clearly see the market is crashing, but at the end of the day the decision is yours to take, so do whatever you think is the best thing you can do for yourself.
Regrets will not come at first but it will always come at last. If you are really in need of the profits, then its all good to sell them off. I agree that altcoins are more exposed to a market crash and so they often fall from their top prices and some may not even recover again. So it will be a brilliant idea to maximize your profits while they are still in bullish price.

However, things might be differ when it comes to VET and XRP. Think it more wisely. In the end, no one's gonna decide but only you so always do the right move.
3249  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 12, 2021, 10:28:44 PM
The main reason why corruption happens in sports is the big money stake in it, make sports betting illegal and there will be no more corruption. The sports betting industry as reported is a billion-dollar industry, with that huge money, I think greedy people will be interested in taking their share, and that is using their influence for their personal benefit.
I think anything that involves money is prone to corruption, there is big money in the gambling industry that can make them become rich when they know how to play with it. Everywhere there are too many greedy people that they think that sometimes manipulating by their own power will give them huge benefits and that is why we can't deny that there is corruption even in gambling because this is a common practice from our political people.

Political power plus huge money can manipulate and create corruption not even in gambling.

That would be easier for them to manipulate the sport if they have politicians behind them, it would add more confidence on the crooks as they know if they get caught, some powerful politician will protect them if we live in that kind of world, it's not only sports that are messed up, even the future of our children and the country as we whole.
3250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 12, 2021, 10:04:18 PM
If I have to list the roster for Lakers that makes sense.

PG : Westbrook / Rondo
SG : Monk / THT / Ellington / Nunn / Wesley Matthews , all these could play actually, but some of them will probably get a lot less minutes

SF : Lebron / Melo / Ariza / Bazemore
PF : AD (and Melo )
C  : Deandre Jordan / Howard ( and AD sometimes)

Can anyone really imagine that this team will not be champions if they stay healthy. I get that there are many times good teams end up losing because they have injured players, a team with Curry/Klay/Durant/Draymond/Cousins ended up losing to Toronto, all because GSW missed nearly all their players on that finals, it was lucky for Toronto. However if there is no big injuries then we are 100% going to see Lakers winning for sure.

They will be champion, though the Nets also have their big 3 I think the Lakers always have the edge as they have more experience and their big men are solid. Howard and Davis could dominate the paint and the Nets will just focus on 3 point shooting which is a low percentage shot when the player is under pressure.

Lebron could switch to PG too. Grin
3251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Choosing the right time for profit on: September 12, 2021, 07:41:33 PM
Speculation is something that is done by every trader but not executed successfully by many.
The right time for profit is anytime when we have at least 1% profit out of the current trade. The profit % can obviously be big but shouldn't be less than 1%.
To take profits at the right time we must have a clear strategy in our mind and also we must be able to execute it successfully.
But many get indulged in FOMO and ruin their strategies and end up in loss.
If we aim to create concrete profits, then  we should learn to avoid FOMO as this won't bring any positive result but only losses. Choosing the right time for profit is quite hard knowing we can't even predict the market correctly. But as long as we see the investment grows and create good profits, then we can start reaping it before the price goes down again and lose the profits.

Most of the time, greed is also a big factor why we still end up losing even if we see already profits on hand. If we keep on waiting for higher profits despite of the high price volatility that cause sudden price changes, then we might see ourselves fall for the trap that leave us with a huge loss instead of a good profits.
3252  Economy / Economics / Re: Ways to avoid being scammed!!! on: September 12, 2021, 07:13:17 PM
Avoiding scam becomes difficult when greed is at the fore. I just always assume that the goal of business people is the same, namely to reap the greatest possible profit from their business partners. As for companies which offers a maximum profit of 5% of capital is a reasonable level. If it's more than that, I don't think there's any sane business there except trying to trick one of them.
Anything that is too good to be true will always come out as a scam. So let's focus more on the reality of businesses rather than believing on projects wherein developers will suddenly abandon the project once they have taken away the profits. Better to be cautious and smart rather than end up leaving in a huge loss.

As scamming becomes rampant not just in the crypto market but also in all kinds of businesses, then we should be more careful and vigilant to see the real intention of such projects rather than giving out all our trust and money as a capital.

3253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News: Ukraine has legalized Bitcoin on: September 12, 2021, 06:47:59 PM
Bitcoin is already legal in lots of countries. If you check Wikipedia you’re going to see that there are lots of countries there that are marked  as countries where Bitcoin is legal, and there are places also marked as where it is illegal. So, it’s already legal in lots of countries,
Yes, some countries have legalized Bitcoin but they didn't legalize it as legal tender and this is what makes El Salvador different from all the countries that have legalized Bitcoin.
To me, the Ukraine and Greece government seems not to be serious about the issue of Bitcoin legalization because they have been on this talk for a long time before El Salvador think of using Bitcoin as legal tender and if this continues they may not legalize Bitcoin while they continue talking about it every year.

Finally, Ukraine ends up legalizing bitcoin and that's only the important thing. Hopefully, the next big step will be adopting bitcoin as a legal tender just like what El Salvador has did.  This is a very positive news in the crypto market and if by chance they will start adopting bitcoin too as a local currency then this news might bring bitcoin closer to its new ATH.

Despite of some negative news that come out like banning bitcoin in some countries, there are still countries who chose to be positive on bitcoin. And by simply believing bitcoin, this will create surely in the later part more positive and amazing news that will give credit to the crypto market.
3254  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 11, 2021, 11:20:27 PM
That's actually a good thing because that only means that countries are much more serious when it comes to trying to obliterate the pandemic once and for all, the only problem is that the idiot ant-vaxxers that's trying to hinder the progress towards herd immunity.
The issue is not as simple as you make it out to be, this is a classic case of individual rights and what society expects out of you, I have taken the vaccine and I would appreciate if the majority took the vaccine as well, but if you force people to take the vaccine then you are trampling on their rights, so the question is as what point society can do something like this and void the right to decide that people have over their own bodies? And this is not by any means an easy debate to have.
Well forcing someone to get vaccinated is already depriving them from their human right. The government is really serious in encouraging everyone to get vaccinated so that the disease will be prevented from spreading it but it does not stated in the law that it is mandatory and so everyone should comply.

However, with the latest implementations from the government, vaccine becomes a criteria to live in the world and those who can enjoy it and those who can't. So it is becoming unfair now to those who don't want to take the vaccine although its really necessary to get vaccinated as to stay away from the deadly virus.
3255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: At what Age will you introduce your child to trading on: September 11, 2021, 10:40:05 PM
Trading it’s not a game for young children. However if my child will once came to me and will show interest to what I’m doing, I’ll show and tell everything I know about trades and crypto without hesitation and even let him try with my assistance, and it doesn't matter how many years old my child will be. The main is interest of my child. I’m not going to force him.
Well introducing trading to my child is still not the right time yet. Currently he is still in elementary level so i still want him to focus on his studies. But i know that time will really come that he will start asking of what i am into and maybe give him a short knowledge about it. If i see potentials in him to enter into trading in the future then maybe when the time his mind will be mature, i'll be able to teach him.

But if in time he finds another way much interesting and could give him good profits, then who am i to contradict him. I will only support him whatever it is as long as its not illegal.lol
3256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Every altcoins has chance on: September 11, 2021, 06:57:26 PM
I've seen several times that every altcoins doubles the price in a single day which means every coin or token has its opportunity to boom. IF BTC price does down they drop but suddenly they skyrocket by the next day itself, it's pretty hard to judge which coin might pump for the next day. Is there any specific website which might help me to identify? Kindly share your thoughts.
How do you determine if it's an actual pump in terms of development, fomo or if it's a purposefully conducted pump?  Lol, I don't think any coin stands a chance, not all 9000 altcoins out there are good.  Totally wrong, it is more accurate to evaluate product aspects and pricing from the market under normal, healthy conditions.  Altcoins will still depend on the bitcoin king.  It is certain, but not shitcoin will stand a chance.
If there was a facility or foundation that could detect the pumps in action first, we could be rich. Undecided
There can be no huge losses in crypto if we are able to determine which coins will eventually pump the next day or month. So what we have here are only wild guesses and speculations. Altcoin has definitely its own time to boom regardless of whether if it has high or low volume but its more on its own potentials that are seen in which the project continues to create good developments and huge demand in the community.

3257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you want NON KYC coin on: September 11, 2021, 05:52:42 PM

There is no such thing as NON KYC coins but any coins you buy from a centralized exchange which you have submitted IDs already, its already linked to you even if it's XMR.

But if you have not submitted KYC documents yet to any exchanges, that's good for you. Because in case there will be a crackdown of BTC owners you are safe. it's a precaution. If you wanna stay that way then better avoid submitting KYC data and be private.

KYC would mean a little bit hassle on our part but since its already required in most exchanges then we have to comply with it. Even in our day to day activity, just like going in a bank or any remittances to claim money or any stuffs, KYC is also required. So there's no way we can escape from KYC issue since its already part of our daily routine particularly in this time of  pandemic where  every company needs to have an access to its customers.

However, talking about a non KYC coin, bitcoin is definitely a good example on it since its a decentralized coin. I personally want a decentralized coin not just for privacy purposes but also as much as possible i want to keep all my coins secured far from the government's hidden purposes. You know its always good to remain anonymous in every transactions we made with bitcoin but seeing the future of bitcoin soon to be fully legalized and adopted then maybe we should start accepting that KYC will always be a part of bitcoin.
3258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 11, 2021, 09:23:10 AM
Terraferma's lucky run is over.

They suffered their 2nd defeat after the win streak and this time against the North Port.
A 20 points blowout win by the North Port and Tiongson only manage to score 9 points.

84-104 was the score.

Maybe they will start losing because they are already checked and good teams know already how to beat them. Maybe the coach will change their strategy, they have more players that are capable of contributing not only Tiongson. Meanwhile, the last game is happening now, Blackwater vs Phoenix, it's a close game so far, will this be the game that Blackwater will finally win?
3259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 11, 2021, 08:52:12 AM
Casimero though he talks a lot but he is not all talk, the way he fights in the ring, you can see his aggressiveness, so he is really willing to give a good fight to the fans, that's why fans admired him.

He should. It's a disgrace if he is just full of talks. Aggressiveness is good but not a good tactic against Naoya Inoue. This guy is far different from Casimero's previous match that's why don't talk first but proved it to the ring.

As I read some news, the fight has a higher chance to happened to compare involving Donaire. Maybe Donaire should just allow those two to fight first before entering the scene. Donaire's fight against either Casimero or Inoue will soon happen so he just need to wait.

He does not only talk, he only talks a lot because he wants to get a good fight, and now that Inoue has already agreed, then we should see a big fight, if he did not talk a lot, then probably we will see a Donaire vs Inoue fight which we already saw before.
3260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand that you are making a mistake? on: September 10, 2021, 09:58:04 PM
Have you ever had a situation when you realized that you were making a mistake, but you just keep on doing it. For example, buying some kind of hype shit coin about which you are absolutely sure that in the end it will become garbage, but in the short term there are chances to get a good profit, but in the end everything turns out the other way around.

Share your stories.

Almost everyone has experienced problems, especially those related to the crypto world, be it trading or otherwise, if you make a mistake in buying some junk coins, it's a sign that the analysis you made is not right, so the purchase is meaningless at all, it requires careful analysis. carefully and from every purchase you make.
Its like dealing with doge coin. We all know exactly that meme coin are no good for long term since they have no potentials to survive once they experience dips but some investors still take the risk that it might be profitable because Elon has hyped it. Yes, it was once profitable but look at it now, its value is already very low compared to its previous price that was definitely high.

This is more likely showing someone's greed. But we have nothing to do with it because its their money that are at stake. The only thing that we should consider first is we know already that the certain coin is definitely no good for long term holding but still some invested it and come out profitable at first and eventually lose in the end.
