3241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ETH-based descentralized casinos on: January 29, 2020, 08:45:53 AM
This has been discussed in the past as far I can remember, why it didn't get traction from the community? It's because it just make things complicated for gamblers. As what @ agustina2 have mentioned, deposit->play->withdraw, simply as that.

We don't want that whole metamask before we can play. And I guess gamblers mindset is hard to change or at least to convince try a way way to deposit in order to enjoy.

Why do you believe MetaMask is a problem? I think it's quite easy to use and a decentralized gambling platform would only make even more progress in the world of decentralization.

After all, when we will have +95% websites with KYC enabled, we will eventually all look for decentralized platforms to go to.. I'm already looking forward to moving to them.

Decentralized platforms will obviously require more attention when handling funds and will not be as easy as 1-2-3. Just like exchanging funds on Binance is instant while on decentralized exchanges it could take from a few minutes to hours. Casinos would probably function similarly.
3242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is BCNEx is turning to a scam Exchange? on: January 29, 2020, 08:36:26 AM
I did not choose them to trade. I was compelled to do this because they distribute the bounty reward to their exchange. I have the chance to withdraw almost 3 BCNX every day. I waited a while for amount to gather a little. Almost 60% of the amount has been gathered in recent days and when I tried to withdraw them, encounter with this result.

I see. Well, welcome to the big pool of scams. This is why I don't like new tokens and coins. I prefer the OG ones. It was better up until 2017-2018 when the ICO hype started and then turned into a token-printing opportunity for scammers.

I'd recommend sending BCNEX a message here on the forum and opening a thread in the Scam Accusation board if 3 days have passed without any kind of answer from them. Open a thread there and post as much proof as possible in order to prove your point. Other than that, there's not much else you can do..
3243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless on: January 29, 2020, 08:24:27 AM
Exactly and nobody really cares that our funds are lost.  Roll Eyes
Scammers paradise... Cheesy

Probably because no lawsuits have been opened yet against the exchanges and wallets going for this scam.

If everyone who fell in their trap and got scammed by them took measures against them, they would either stop scamming themselves or the authorities would.

But let's not forget the fact that many of those falling to KYC traps prefer to lose their money rather than giving them identity documents.. So they keep thriving off that.
3244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make 3 USD a day? Tips wanted. on: January 29, 2020, 08:07:25 AM
Depends on where to live. If you're from a third-world country, the rates are pretty low and you've to give out personal info almost all the time. Not to mention offers could be rejected and you won't get paid.

It's much better if you've some funds to invest and perhaps try trading (crypto or forex). No such thing as free lunch; you have to spend some effort or money either way.

EDIT: If you're willing to spend $100 worth of Bitcoin, there's Freebitco.in which gives out 4.08% interest annually. Just park and let it grow.

If OP lives in a third-world country, captcha solving might actually provide good rates for him. I remember the top users of the website I used were Africans and Indians.

Trading involves a risk, if OP is willing to take it then why not.. but he's probably looking for a 100% source of little income and not risking what he already owns. And knowing the fact that he's looking to make $3 a day, I guess he doesn't have that much to put into trading anyway..

These websites that pay you to do tasks may be good or bad, depending on the country you live in. There are a few of them that pay you in Bitcoin if you wish. In the USA for example, there are lots of websites like that with very good offers. I know someone who's earned tens of thousands of dollars through them in a matter of years (but he had to pay for some offers in order to get paid, like buying a product for $5 and receiving $10 in exchange).

In Romania, offers are crappy. I get to earn $0.01 off watching a 3-4 minutes long video, which makes it a complete waste of time. Offers like surveys most often get declined than not (I've never had a survey task accepted & paid here).

So it truly depends on the location you live in. You can look for those task apps offering Bitcoin withdrawals and see if the offers you get are worth the effort or not.

With minimal effort, you can't earn money. You'd probably be better off if you walk someone's dog for money than doing these time-consuming tasks and captchas.
3245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The profitability and effort put into different ways of earning bitcoin on: January 29, 2020, 07:40:18 AM
I've had times when I've considered sig campaigns as a source of income and that is very wrong. After some time, you start sh*tposting just in order to get the max payout you can get instead of writing real posts.

It's easy to earn off sig campaigns if you don't care about the money and see it just like a reward for posting good stuff. Blogging is a job, sig campaigns are rewards from the community. Had to change my mentality to finally see it this way.
3246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is BCNEx is turning to a scam Exchange? on: January 29, 2020, 12:19:50 AM
I'm tired of dealing with this exchange already. I just looked at my request to Ethereum withdraw a week ago was rejected. If I knew it was a definite scam, I wouldn't have dealt with them anymore, otherwise they should give the funds.

There are so many exchanges you could've chosen from, and yet you decide to use BCNEx. Haven't even heard of it, and the forum has plenty of scam accusations against them. It's easy to find if they're trustworthy or not.

Well, it would be a huge mistake by the team. Bcnex belongs among the biggest exchanges from Asia, it is the largest crypto exchange in Vietnam, they have enough money from ICO for development, so why they behave in this way.  Roll Eyes

Having earned money from ICOs doesn't mean they'll spend that money on the development of their project. If this truly is a scam, then this "enough money" you're talking about is chilling in their pockets. A promise made through the internet should gain no trust from everyone but 100% doubt instead. If it's on the internet, it doesn't mean it's true.
3247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make 3 USD a day? Tips wanted. on: January 29, 2020, 12:10:42 AM
There must be some ways that I can earn 50 cents a day without much effort, and then find some other routes to earn some more, to eventually add up to 3 buck.

I'm asking you here mates!

You can go through faucets of Bitcoin and alts, and then just do some services in your free time such as writing or anything you're talented at.

The problem you'll be facing is that it will take you so much time to get $3 doing stuff without effort (like going for faucets) that you'll eventually give up. A few years ago I found out about the captcha solving websites I could get paid from and thought it would be a great idea... it wasn't. I would've been paid less than $1 for more than half a day of continuous work. It's getting very boring and annoying at a certain point.

You can't just get money for doing nothing. You have to either do some effort or assume a risk (trading, investing). No money grows in trees!
3248  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless on: January 28, 2020, 11:53:01 PM
Agreeing with your post. Never gonna be a fan of KYC, I avoid it as much as possible. The KYC-based scams are getting more popular than ever, and it's concerning. They either have to find a much better way to handle terrorism funding & money laundering or they need to just stop it. Exchanges and wallet platforms are now using it as a weapon against their own customers as if they have the right and authority to hold a customer's funds and, in the end, to basically confiscate the frozen sum. I doubt even half of their procedures is legal.

A few hours ago I was looking to join the Brave network to get some little extra revenue off browsing the internet.. too bad they require mandatory KYC..

3250  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are we going to have a profitable bounty hunting in 2020? on: January 20, 2020, 07:54:51 AM
The thing is that it was profitable at one time when the ICO craze was on and bitcoin was pumping to 20k USD and then once the crash happened and ICO buzz reduced all the shittokens dropped to what they are actually of value which is zero. Every other token launched during that time are at ~90%(-) of their All time high values.

These hunters should not think of bounties as a mode of getting income. They should be considered a high risk asset which is being given to them as a prize. But they cant get into that mindset.

There are a ton of people coming into this market just because they think these P&D schemes can get them rich in no time. It's a very unhealthy way cryptocurrencies have been promoted to them, therefore it's a very unhealthy way the markets are developing.

It's always functioned one way in those markets: the poor usually become poorer and the rich become richer. We're talking about whales and people like me. I'd never get a chance of taking a large profit within a pump, because whales are fast enough to buy and sell within such a short amount of time in order to earn something off the huge boost.

Bounty schemes where you are waiting to earn coins off a project just to dump them later are very unhealthy to our market and the reason we have many people afraid to invest in a cryptocurrency. I'd recommend every bounty hunter to research new projects and only place their bets on those that seem to have potential. Support the projects, don't just invest to dump it later..
3251  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: bitcoin-converter.com on: January 19, 2020, 09:38:15 PM
The website loads fast on my phone, way faster than other websites which is obviously a good thing.

However, as it's been mentioned before, I think the website name is too long. If it's going to become CMC-like traffic-wise, it's not going to be such a big mess but until then people need the comfort of writing a shorter name. I'd go for something like "bitconvert.com", but it'd be easily confused with "bitconverter.com" which I suppose you wouldn't want.

I'd like to see alts there too, but that's your choice and I guess considering the fact that your website's name is "BITCOIN-convert", alts are out of the game.

Overall I think it's a good idea. I haven't tried the website yet on PC, but on my phone it looks clean. However, there already are a few websites showing a price average of BTC (which includes CMC, the most popular one), so I'd recommend you to think about something unique to add to your website so the CMC, Preev etc traffic would transfer to your website.
3252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you record and preserve Bitcoin history? on: January 19, 2020, 05:11:47 PM
I have a few photos I've taken of my crypto portfolio and the balance I had on PrimeDice back when I was a very big crypto casino addict. I remember I touched about 0.4BTC starting with no deposits or anything but the 200 satoshi (correct me if I'm wrong) free faucet. I tried to go for a 4950x win and I WON, so that's why I took a picture of it.

To be honest, there are so many "checkpoints" I've had during my crypto journey and I truly regret I haven't saved them anywhere. From time to time, I think about the idea of printing the BTC chart every month right next to my portfolio value.. Earlier today I checked my old email accounts and saw some correspondence between me and an old friend when BTC was under $500. Good, good times.
3253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it good to talk about big gains? on: January 19, 2020, 02:53:42 PM
To close relatives, to close siblings? Maybe. To strangers or more distanced friends & relatives? No way.

This reminds me of that guy who was tortured by his friends so they could force him to give them the information to his wallets. Nowadays you have to be very careful who you're speaking to. Many are sitting close to you just to earn off you in any kind of way, and sharing the information of you winning is like telling them you've got a ton of cash at home. It's dangerous. I'd rather keep my winnings for myself, so nobody knows what asset I own and what I don't.
3254  Other / Serious discussion / Re: $100K by 2022 vs $100k by 2032 on: January 19, 2020, 01:34:10 PM
Below $1000 rather hardly possible, but we may observe a real crypto winter for some time, due to the chaos related to FATF and new AMLP legislation, which can be a real problem for processing the transactions from one wallet to another (necessary verification of sending an receiving party wallet ownership, black list of countries and individuals - like with bank transfer).

Why is the possibility so small to have it go under $1k? 10 years is a very long time span, there are so many possibilities, so many things can happen. Having so many LARGE countries already testing their national cryptocurrency, I can even take into consideration the possibility of Bitcoin becoming illegal through law due to "high volatility", "high risk", "money laundering" and "illicit activity" which would obviously be the statement any national cryptocurrency-developing country would use to promote theirs.

Although Bitcoin is open source and has been alive and growing for so long, there are so many things that might happen including the "death" of it caused by the lack of development and growth, or the lack of interest from miners. There are so many projects and companies that went well for many years and turned into a failure in the end. $1k and under is very possible, and likely +50% of the people saying right now they'd buy at $1k and under would change their mind by then. It's the panic and the FUD spreading around that influences you subconsciously.

By 2032 the crypto economy should be far more mature, and in theory volatility should have dropped.

Not sure what to say about that. Volatility will still be there unless there's a factor that would control it. For now, we mostly have whales doing it.

LATER EDIT:Wow, I just noticed the OP is from November 2019 .. should check the dates more often
3255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will China Accept Bitcoin As A Currency? on: January 19, 2020, 12:56:12 PM
China is currently testing its digital yuan. And in the first half of 2020, the digital yuan will be launched in full mode. The main difference between the digital yuan and bitcoin is that the first one will be centralized. And the Chinese authorities will want to oust bitcoin from China, because it is not controlled by the authorities.

There will probably be the possibility of investing in Bitcoin through banks or their stock exchange markets, but that's investing in something you won't own. Just like gold: you buy gold stocks but you don't own it physically. So except speculation, there's no point in investing in it unless you're allowed to use it the way it was meant to.

Many newcomers are unfortunately taught about Bitcoin the wrong way. Many of my friends prefer buying cryptocurrencies through stock markets instead of buying them directly from exchanges and withdrawing it to their own wallets. I've been here since way before the "national currency" part was a thing, so I know the true way Bitcoin was meant to be purchased and used: peer-to-peer.
3256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is there any website selling LOADED physical coins? on: January 19, 2020, 11:55:48 AM
Try to visit bitcoin penny website, they sell coins or some commemorative coin. Check it here https://bitcoinpenny.com/collections/coins

These are DIY coins. I'm looking for coins that are pre-loaded with currencies on them.  Grin
3257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we now confirm that he's Faketoshi.? on: January 19, 2020, 11:48:30 AM
But the media coverage he has been getting has made BSV pump at regular intervals. Either it is a fake or real Satoshi is not even the argument here but the attention he is getting that is making money entering is pocket freely via pump and dump

And he should go to jail for this... Market manipulation is a crime around the world. And if he only makes his move for this reason then it should be taken seriously by gov.

If he really has the keys, he has to sign a message and make it public, easy as that, without lawyers or govs involved in the process.

My thoughts are, he's so deep in his lies that he's got no way out now. Because he claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto himself, he got into this trouble with the Kleiman estate. Then he provided false documents in court, and then we had those "good news" regarding him having the key to the Genesis BTC addresses, and then this actually turned out to be a false information.

I think it's a double edged sword for him now. He either goes to jail or gives the Kleiman estate the half-million BTC he owes them. So to me it looks like he's trying to just extend the time as much as possible so the bad results would come as late as possible. It's something I'd do too if I knew there's no way out for me.
3258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Is there any website selling LOADED physical coins? on: January 19, 2020, 11:14:50 AM
I've always admired the Casascius coins but I don't think there's any chance I'll be able to afford to buy in the near future considering the limited supply and today's value of BTC.

Is there any website that sells loaded physical coins? I don't care whether it's LTC, BTC, ETH or any other coin. I'm looking for a reliable and secure website that is still selling loaded ones. If the coin is all-silver, it'd be more than perfect.
3259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alternatives Like BTC Becomes Necessary As World Debt Reaches $253 Trillion on: January 19, 2020, 10:46:20 AM
As much as I like Bitcoin, I don't see it being a solution to the problem OP is referring to. If you don't deal with the monetary policy markers, nothing will change, ever. It's the same group of like-minded elite that's in charge. Something has to change there on a fundmental level. I do not see that happen with how much empirical evidence we have today.

bitcoin has never been a solution to anything. it is an option towards freedom that people can choose to use. and it has always been like this. the governments and the banks will remain in power and control the money printing and everything. in most cases there is a lot of corruption involved in it too. in this corrupted world bitcoin is the way out but it is not going to solve that corruption.
Agreed, this has served to fulfill people with things that can't be done by the traditional banking process. This means it has provided users the freedom on spending. With banks at times even to spend our own money we need the permission of banking authority which is disgusting. This way on some means bitcoin gets considered as an alternative, but it isn't a solution.

If everybody suddenly withdrew all their money out of the banks, closed their bank accounts and turned to crypto it would turn into a solution. The thing is, we are still too tied to those third parties so it became hard to actually untie ourselves from them. A change is possible, a change can happen now. The only problem is, a sudden change in economy like that means a change of our routine. People have to accomodate to another system, and that's uncomfortable for them.
3260  Economy / Economics / Re: A huge recession could be on its way - sources on: October 13, 2019, 09:41:06 PM
This is a tricky topic. A lot depends on whether it's simply a recession on the way, or a currency crisis characterized by fiat collapse. There's a huge difference. In a typical recession, cash is still king. Consider gold's performance during 2008; it dropped 34% between Q1 and Q3.

Fiat collapse is another story. If the dollar or other major currencies go the way of the dodo, all bets are off. Hard money like gold and (and quite possibly BTC) would be in extremely high demand.

It's impossible to predict when fiat collapse could occur. It's easier to bet the trend and assume that we're looking at another short-lived financial crisis and recession.

I've never seen a recession during which Gold's price shrunk? It actually soared during the 2008 crisis and had its all-time high during 2011. It doesn't make sense otherwise. Here's info from The Balance (https://www.thebalance.com/gold-price-history-3305646):

"Gold shot up to $869.75 per ounce during the 2008 financial crisis. The price of an ounce of gold hit an all-time record of $1,895 on Sept. 5, 2011, in response to worries that the United States would default on its debt. Since then, it has fallen, as the U.S. economy has improved and inflation remains low."

I did not link fiat collapse to recession. But as far as I know, fiat doesn't get stronger during such times.
