3241  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: March 29, 2020, 12:06:19 PM
Its very harmful to everything, to every domain,to every currency no matter what.
Each and every sector is affected, people are commenting about one sector is not affected or the other, what world they are living in  Roll Eyes.

I think the only precious thing that are not harmed are Gold & Silver as this cannot affect them. I saw some videos on youtube that have predicted this economic collapse long before corona hit the world and they said $ is gonna drop so hard and another global currency will rise... .
There was a global economic slow down for a few months and with the Virus spread and the complete lock down by different government it recession is completed and how long it will take for things to be normal is to seen, it is really hard as the number of patients keeps on rising and how long we will be forced to lock down to save our life.

My thoughts are that $ cannot disappear so fast and we already have global currencies including Bitcoin.
It is a global issue and dollar nor any currency will disappear just like that and the government will come up with stimulus package to help revive the economy but it all depends upon how long this shut down is enforced and when we will have a solution for the issue we have, the fucking virus which has affected everyone irrespective of region color religious belief etc because the virus does not discriminate.

It's sad to see he can't stop drinking unfortunately. Alcoholism will be his biggest opponent in his career I guess. I hope he will at least learn to stop making stupid things while being drunk  Undecided
It is not the first time he is under trouble for drink and drive and he is not going to change, he has all the money in the world to hire someone to drive for him or download uber for his after drinking activities but he just cannot change and his alcohol addiction will destroy his career.

Joe Rogan reveals he won't be commentating at UFC 249 due to coronavirus pandemic
I was watching his podcast in the mean time and even he was not that serious about the COVID virus in the early stages but when he had Michael Osterholm in his podcast his perception changed and Osterholm warned before hand about the seriousness of the virus and how it will affect the entire globe if you are not taking any precautions and that is what really happened now with the number of patients in the US has increased more than anywhere else in the world.
3243  Economy / Economics / Re: India - Complete Country Lockdown - Is it on the Verge of Economic Crisis ? on: March 27, 2020, 09:26:35 PM
If they totally forbid people to leave the house and carry out economic activities, then they must provide and distribute food and clean water directly to the people. However, I don't think the curfew is strictly 24/7, meaning that they still can buy daily needs to the nearest shop. In this case, the government must provide money. In Indonesia, it's called "Bantuan Langsung Tunai" or literally translated as Direct Cash Assistance.
There is a complete shut down and if you go out during this period people will beat the shit out of you in India, you can search in youtube and you will find many videos of the police brutality, the curfew is strictly 24/7 and till now there is not much assistance from the government regarding how you purchase house hold items, foreseeing the situation i did purchase food items for a month and all the necessary items well before the curfew but it looks like the lock down will last more than a month as the number of infected patients keeps on increasing.

I can't believe that Jon Jones is arrested again and this time for aggravated DWI and use of firearm
Is this man have any brain in his head?  Roll Eyes
It is a really disappointing news as he is back again with his wild days and how long he can mess around like this, he is an exceptional talent but he is doing his best to destroy his legacy and if he continue this path then his career will end pretty soon.
The use of fire arm is not a big issue here but the problem is the aggravated DWI charge as this is not the first time Jon Jones is getting into trouble behind the wheels. May be the COVID scare has got the better of Jon Jones.
3245  Economy / Economics / Re: World economy would benefit if all crypto work together on: March 26, 2020, 11:58:21 PM
Using cryptocurrency in our daily lives do really benefit us,
Think twice before using crypto payment on your daily basis with the transaction fees for every purchase you make, that would be fun  Tongue. I have an alternative for daily transactions without any transaction fees.

but i am not that sure if every cryptocurrency will work together just to make the world economy better becauseevery cryptocurrency has their own use on how they were developed by it's own creator,
The world thrives on competition and no country will work towards making the other country better.

People are creating their coin for the purpose of people investing in them. They want to popularize their idea of a coin, and despite the cause of the coin, people want to earn money.
If the purpose is to create coins for the sake of creating one then it will not last that long, we have seen many projects and coins coming and going in the past ten years and i believe this space does have the most number of failed projects in a very short period of time
3246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020 Discussion Thread on: March 26, 2020, 09:55:51 PM
It is very likely that Olympics may be postponed this year and maybe shifted to 2021.
Do you think this decision is good for the sports and the players and how it will effect the sports betting business ?
It is the best decision and it was rumored that the Olympics will be moved to next year when the situation started getting worse in China and now it is a real concern globally as the patient count keeps on increasing and we have crossed over 500000 patience globally and many fighting for their lives and today USA have more patience than any where in the world and there is no clue when this will subside, health is more important than anything else and this is a wake up call for everyone to access their life.
3247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 25, 2020, 11:24:43 PM
So bottom line is, Conor will fight Khabib regardless of who will win the fight this April 18. Poor Justin Gaethje if that is the case, he is far more active fighter than Conor who just won the fight last January 19 against Cerrone and now he is the top contender?
It is possible that Justin Gaethje will fight Conor McGregor unless and until Conor is willing to wait for a long time as Khabib will take time off for his religious fasting and he will be planning to return by the end of the year card and how long Conor is willing to wait is the question and considering the recent Covid scare who knows when we will be able to see things normally and how long we will carry on with isolation and lock downs.

Dana White announced during a social media live earlier tonight that he is putting up a card for April and the fight card will have major changes and i hope the main event will be there as he is not providing the entire details but he is planning to put together a big card that includes the fighters that were supposed to fight in the cancelled cards.
3248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: March 24, 2020, 11:05:39 PM
i join a lot of air drops and still i dont know am i wasting my time or not! i saw a lot of scams and most of them after ending airdrop time ask for amount of eth or btc or they delay for payment!!! i wonder is there any good resource as site or channel  for good and reliable air drops or not?
There are no reliable source anywhere else than this forum to know whether the concept is to lure people or fake people behind the projects as there are many people dedicating their time to expose the scams and you cannot find easy money through air drops now a days, in the early days of the ICO market you could find airdrops that can be cashed out but not anymore. The whole concept of airdropping free money is silly Tongue.
3249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 24, 2020, 07:00:34 PM
By considering India's population against their available medical facility and general public's awareness on corona, I am afraid their lock down precaution measurements may not serve its actual purposes.
Things are different in different states in India, Kerala does have good medical facility and the government is providing free treatment and food for the patients and there are no death till now and it is the first state that got affected in India because of its high NRI population, the situation in Mumbai is that the government has ordered a complete lock down including grocery stores and people are still moving outside their houses even in this situation.

The only possibility will be, if their current lock down precaution works as expected then we may expect IPL matches to happen behind locked doors. Yes, government and BCCI may plan for IPL matches without allowing viewers into stadium.
There is no way that a group sport can happen even behind locked doors, if there is a extended lock down there is no way the rule will allow a sport like cricket as every team consist of 15 members then their coaching team and a minimum of 100 personal will be present and considering those it is hard to assume we will see a match.

Just today, 2020 Japan Olympics got postponed by a year. There will be no surprises if same happens to 2020 edition of IPL as well.
The biggest difference is that IPL is conducted every year and they have to cancel this years event and then carry on with the even as usual from next year while Olympics is conducted once every 4 years Wink.
3250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 24, 2020, 09:31:39 AM
I forgot where the place is but it pretty small but its complete with an octagon cage.
The UFC has their own facilities to conduct fights without any audience and their performance center is capable enough to conduct fights with just the officials, Dana White will not reveal those details to avoid back lash from media until the last moment.

They are placing the fighters health in danger if they continue with this, its hard to detect which person is already infected with COVID-19 because there are those with no travel history, no signs of being infected but after a few day after testing they are positive.
There is no doubt that the UFC is taking a huge risk by carrying on with the event and if there is a mishap and if someone tests positive after the event then the company will be under fire and will face sanctions and fine and with the stakes so high i am sure Dana White will take every steps to monitor and test all the individuals present in the arena to make sure anyone who is part of the event is Covid free.
3251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 23, 2020, 10:18:11 PM
I understand they undergo fasting but this is his profession and is there any loophole to skip one year to pursue his career
Khabib is an avid follower of his faith and there is no way he will be skipping that.

How can a person survive for 1 month without water? For sure he will have a substitution, probably some kind of "energy-kind" drink (not redbull or alike, but something with amino acid or creatine). Does muslims allowed to drink milk during Ramadan?
They can drink water after fasting and they will not even swallow the saliva during fasting. The idea of fasting according to their faith is that they will not eat or drink anything during the day but at night they can drink and eat anything they want.

I mean 249 main event is prolly the biggest match of the year and it's gonna go on behind closed doors without a huuuge crowd?  Seriously?  It's better to wait and get it on again at the end of the year.  IMHO.
If by chance they conduct the fight behind closed doors it will probably become the biggest pay per view events in history as there are no sporting events right now and everyone will be tuning in to watch the fight and the loss in the live gate revenue will be compensated with the pay per view revenue.
3252  Economy / Economics / Re: Will India be more progressive in the coming years? on: March 23, 2020, 08:13:52 AM
India as the 2nd biggest in terms of population, being positive with crypto might do something positive in with their economy in the future.
To have a positive impact on the economy the government has to have clarity on their stance and if you take a look at the present governance there is nothing positive to expect that as there is resistance after resistance for entrepreneurs first in the form of demonetization and then GST.

What do you see years from now that India will achieve due to this declaration of lifting the ban of cryptocurrency?
The ban is lifted because people were fighting against the RBI regulation which forced the exchanges to close their doors and it took two years to get justice and imagine the loss these companies had to encounter during that period and considering the political system is not in favor you need to have a calculated risk while investment in India.

India does have the technical talents and there are many IT hubs in India and in the future we will see many promising projects in the blockchain market.
3253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Corona Virus was predicted but it will soon vanish on: March 22, 2020, 09:01:52 PM
So do you believe in this prediction and are you one of the dumpers?
The time for prediction is over, it is here and it has already consumed the lives of over 14400 people globally and the amount of patience getting affected are increasing on a daily basis and many countries are going with complete shut down to counter the spread but the biggest question is whether it will vanish just like that and when everything is said and done it will have a major impact on the economy and we might see a global recession.
3254  Economy / Economics / Re: Virus Bear Market? on: March 22, 2020, 12:53:18 PM
Government saying this virus hype can last till next year, meaning Btc crash will be sustained to new lows this year similar to a virus bear market till next year when the virus fear hype is over?
When ten thousand of people are dead globally within a few month you think it is a hype or a real thing to take precaution and that is exactly many governments are trying to do at the moment.

Will Btc halving this May coming will get us out of this virus bear market?
You cannot expect the market to recover all of a sudden after the halving, just have the patience to hold for a few months and the market will recover.

Whats covid-19 virus got to do with Bitcoin? Its not a computer or blockchain virus that attacks btc so why Btc crash?
The market depends upon the economic situation and we have financial institution investing in the market and if they foresee that the rest of the market is going down they might book their profit to reduce the loss and i think that is what happened here.

In global recessions/depressions/global economic meltdowns people turn to gold/silver and digital gold such as bitcoin so why bitcoin crash and gold market not crashing in times like these?
During the times of recession people will turn to gold but there is no concrete evidence that people will invest in BTCitcoin.
3255  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil price War will Bring real War soon in Middle east on: March 21, 2020, 11:56:34 PM
Oil Price War willl Bring real War!
Oil Price Will be a lot More expensive then Now Wink
War Will start about soon...  I would Say in 7 Days.
What war you are talking about, the price of oil is falling because of the decision by Saudi to increase the production and to have a control over the market, increased production means the price will go down and they wanted to compete with Russia and the US as they have the technology to produce at a much better rate and Saudi is implementing new strategy to have an upper hand in the long run. If you mean strategical war when it comes to oil price then it is true.
3256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Italy is using blockchain to fight on: March 21, 2020, 06:47:36 PM
Italy has utilized blockchain technology to fight back. Earlier it was reported, the Italian charity organization, Red Cross, has introduced a blockchain platform to collect donations to combat the disease. Recently, Sella, an Italian bank, has introduced a new service to trade bitcoins.
They are not using the technology to fight back the virus instead the charity organizations might be accepting funds through crypto which is a really good thing because it does have transparency but it will not combat the disease  Tongue. The only precaution you can take right now is to quarantine yourself from the public until everything is sorted out.

Everyone should understand that there will be many scammers trying to scam money in this cause so beware when you donate the funds.
3257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Coronavirus affects Bitcoin and when it will end on: March 21, 2020, 05:41:21 PM
Until then, you can count on prices dropping. When you look back at it, prices started dropping around the same time coronavirus was introduced by the media and fear started spreading.
Covid 19 is not a media created fear mongering, countries started getting affected because of the wide spread of the diseases and many countries are forced to order curfew and when that happens there is no business that is going on and the retail sector will be completely affected and so is the case with manufacturing sectors and if there are no jobs because of these curfew then how do you think that the economy will fair, the markets will perform according to the economical situation and so is the reason the markets went down drastically. It will take a few months for everything to become normal and everything function normally until then stay safe.
3258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 21, 2020, 06:31:54 AM
The IPL can't be conducted between June and August, due to the Monsoons. If they conduct it after that, it is going to clash with the schedule of other tournaments. And anyway, IPL 2021 will start by March 2021. So how can they justify 5-6 months interval between the two tournaments? My advice to BCCI is to cancel this years tournament and reimburse all the expenses to franchises, sponsors and the TV channels.
If the virus can be contained by that time then the BCCI has the ability to move the matches to countries where there is no monsoon and we have already seen the IPL moved to South Africa in the past so it is possible that the IPL could be moved from India if monsoon is the obstacle Wink.

Please answer my question. Which one is more precious among these - 1,000 human lives, or $1 billion? More than a million individuals attended the IPL last season, and there is a good chance that if we witness the same number of audience this time, then anywhere from 1% to 10% may get infected from the virus directly. Will BCCI be OK with that sort of risk?
If the situation gets worse then there will be complete shut down, nothing is more important than health and human lives and no sporting events will resume until everything is sorted.

Both are important for me economic stability and the health of fellow humans. I do not know what will happen if BCCI cancels IPL this year but I do know many people will lose jobs and to cover it's losses BCCI will increase fees which will in directly affect common people.
If BCCI increases any fees it will not affect anyone, you have the option to opt out and it is not a necessity to get them imposed upon you Tongue, still not sure which fees you are talking about other than ticket fees because the broadcasting rights are already sold and it will affect the broadcasters rather than the BCCI and if the event is cancelled then the BCCI might compensate by extending the broadcasting rights for one more year.

Matches can be organised without spectators  and they can be rescheduled for a later date this year.
Group events and sports cannot be conducted like that in this case, one on one events can be conducted without spectator but not group events where people from different countries share the same locker room and i am sure it will not be allowed during this period.
3259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices are going to moon according to Willy Woo (analyst) on: March 20, 2020, 07:38:41 PM
Willy Woo who’s an analyst, and according to the author he had correctly predicted that bitcoin prices will crash.
I am not sure whether Willy Woo anticipated a blood bath in the entire financial market like this when he made his predictions but this was a worst case scenario in the form of an epidemic outbreak and the entire financial market was bleeding and it gives everyone the opportunity to invest during that period to wait for the long haul and with halving coming up and with the past market the price usually rallies and this was the right situation for anyone to invest in the market and when everything settles down the market will rally and try to reach the all time valuation and that is my expectation.

3260  Economy / Economics / Re: The Corona Pandemic economic guessing game on: March 20, 2020, 03:56:00 PM
Which country's government will be the most affected by the COVID-19 global pandemic, and be the first to go bankrupt, and default?
The only solution to stop the spread of the virus is to shut down gatherings which includes shopping malls and other commercial places and during this phase manufacturing will be affected and that means the entire financial structure will be affected and we are not seeing any slowdown yet and the virus is spreading to many countries and in the next few months i am expecting a financial meltdown globally. Right now many countries are providing financial packages to aide the economy during this phase.
