I'm holding a small sum. I've heard mixed messages. From the future of privacy to shitcoin clone. The community, while small, seems rather dedicated. You will not find a straight answer. You'll have to draw your own conclusion for this one.
Sometimes, all a coin needs for a fighting chance is a dedicated community

Since you've got waves on your list. Get waveswallet, transfer usd into wallet from creditcard and start buying cryptos. Then, you can transfer either waves or btc to bittrex to buy the others on your list

Do some investigation first in scam founder and self declared ICO King CEO of Waves. This is maffia
And your source for this is?

I hate to say this but the Starta team is terrible about responding to things and updating investors. I've messaged them several times on twitter with no response and emailed them once about the ICO...with no response. Not a good look, Starta. Investors need answers and updated on things like exchanges. Tokens went out on Monday...there's no reason you couldn't give us an update on things
I said the same thing on their slack channel, this is not a good sign on the part of this team and they should not give excuse of being busy coz other tokens devs have to answer questions investors have no matter how busy they are, take a look at waves and Tenxpay slack channel buzzing with investors discussion, infact Julian from Tenxpay dev just did live streaming Q&A on Facebook not to mention Sasha from waves and his dev team always on the slack responding to questions, i guess dev here are only interested in ico success not the investors questions. We are available to answer your questions, but then most times its the same questions that have been asked and answered over and over again....Plans are in place for exchanges, updates will always be announced once something new comes up. Any refund policy for tokens not received? Token refund after the ICO has been concluded? You bought in late?

hello, i'm following the forum since 3 months but is my very first contribution:) The yesterday dip has to be related to "bitcoin scaling proposal Segwit2x's testnet forked yesterday, creating two different and incompatible testnets, a bad sign for the upcoming scaling update. Nodes running older bitcoin software continued on as they normally would but nodes running the new Segwit2x code stalled at block 27070 for over 20 hours as a result of the issue. Reactions were mixed, with some dismissing the controversial scaling proposal for perceived lingering issues, while others defended the misstep as only a small stumbling block that wouldn't happen during a live deployment." If you wanna check the entire article : http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-segwit2x-testnet-fork-scaling-proposal/Thanks for the info. Very interesting article

Splendid insight! Wish I had this before the dip

How about platforms like Ethereum and Waves?
Waves is good, especially with all the ICOs popping up

Guys, 5 years is a very long time in crypto. I would say 5 years in crypto are equivalent to 20 years in stock market. It is quite impossible to predict the price of waves. We cant even predict, if bitcoin is still alive in 5 years (the "real" bitcoin). Keep a close look on the market and react based on news and the chart patterns. This is the safest way. And the most improvement thing in crypto: “Don’t fall in love with a coin!”
You're right about that one, bro. Crypto definitely exists in its own sphere. The best way to survive is to look at just how sound the coins features are and real world implementatio

Thanks everyone, i bought some Waves, Ubiq and Stratis. Already own LTC, Shift, ETH
Hope your ETH is short-term, because once this ICO bubble burst, ETH's going to be in for a shock and with WAVES, STRATIS, and UBIQ waiting to give ETH a run for its money, things ain't gonna be looking pretty

I want to speculate the price of Waves in 5 years from now. Alright, start. The floor is all yours and we are all ears

STA isn't listed yet on coincap, has anyone requested already? Who can give me 1 wave? This is my address: 3PAwE2ktX1DC7sBcWFqTYTQNbuxLkKn84DF thank you very much! ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) Try fauceting from http://www.wavesgo.com/faucet.html Or sell a token on DEX... one token is worth 0.4 last time I checked. That should net you more than the 0.003 you need for transfer fee Can you give me a link to dex? You don't need a link to the DEX, DEX is inside the waves wallet! It's the trhird icon from you left. Hover you mouse over the icon and you'll see the name "WAVES DECENTRALIZED EXCHANGE" - DEX stands for Decentralized EXchange. Once inside, all you have to do is pair your token against Waves to trade. spoonfed. how did this w3200223 live in the crypto world without learning all these. i would would have taught that guy something else if you haven't responded with a tuts. Blame it on the ICO bubble. It's the new money doubling scheme

I agree, some whales are behind this dip, looking for entry points to multiple their investment - insanely. And your hodlings look solid. I've got some Via and BTC, recently added Stratis, Ubiq, and more Bitbay to mine

Thanks for the replies guys. Good advice.
Coinmarketcap does indeed show the exchanges where recently added coins are traded. The thing is they are all very different. I checked 7 icos that were added today on coinmarketcap and they are traded on totally different exchanges- I did not even know there were so many exchanges.
So my plan to register on couple exchanges beforehand and sell tokens after icos will not work out. Since they are listed on different exchanges I will have to register on all of them. The worst part is that identity verification on these exchanges take very long. And it will be like a week or two after the ico that my account will be approved.
Do you reccomend any way to go about this?
As I mentioned earlier I was looking to sell the tokens on the first couple of days after ico would happen.
Cheers!
Journey of a thousand steps... If you're looking to cash in seriously, you'd better start the registration before thr tokens/coins hit those exchanges - just look for the most common denominators in those lists. Also, ID verification is for those trading in large volumes. If you're going to trade in such volumes, there is no other way round verification

Patience folks. First they had to distribute tokens to investors. Now, they are tallying bounty token for distribution. When those tokens will get on major exchanges depends on the exchanges themselves, but for now, you can use waves dex to trade and the token's moving nicely already on the dex
