If it is a matter of while then I feel it might be a good time to gather some more to sell later. But if this is a problem not be resolved then it is a good time to sell now because the price is still good. I also have a few coins and still hold the ETH to it, which I bought in about month ago so as not to create too much harm

Asking around friends, no one had seen this behavior on Tuesday 7/20/17... That said.. Coinbase said it is an outage.. For sure it is an outage. but looking at my account and the comment I from Coinbase transaction notification email.. it looks like a gigantic bug, OR a gigantic hack.. working in SW development, a bug is not very likely in this scenario With the facts that I know, it certainly looks like a hack. More grade A fud. There is no hack. There's network congestion due to the overwhelming popularity of ETH and the ICOs. It's a growing network only 2 years old. |

What happened with decentralization? a) We have a "Put_your_name_here" project with a minimum goal of (say) $5 Million + 30-50% premine - for "future development" and developers. b) All of these projects (and I'm not saying this for the first time) have CEOs, CTOs etc., which has nothing to do with decentralization (as they should not be a company, nor they should have a huge premine). c) Most of the people involved in these projects are with huge experience. Their combined experience is twelve billion years in the industry! They already launched five million projects with a combined turnover of USD $120 Billion/week. Yet they are asking for your money? Should I mention the current issues of ETH? And in five weeks/months/years, when the bad Americans (or Russians, just pick a nation) comes up with some law, you are all crying: "These bastards are f*cking with Bitcoin!  ", and believers: "Nothing can stop Bitcoin, even if they dump it down to $10!". But please don't mind me. I'm just a guy who "missed the train". WTF is wrong with you people?! I sold about 10% of my stash. I'm not sure whether the bubble has burst or not, but I decided I'll take some profit (bought at sub $100). We might see $5000 or $10000 in the next few days, but I'm pretty sure the price will go down to $1500 (or even lower) at some point in the next few months or next year, and that's when I'll buy more. If that doesn't happen then it's fine, I'll invest in something else.
What do you think of my decision?

If you're not aware it is the date that Austrialia follows Japan in legalising BTC and removeing all Bitcoin taxes. quite interesting mate, when this two countries already step up for this currency well i guess selling what you are holding is not a good idea, even there's speculation regarding to this split up i think japan and australia already anticipated that possibilities and they will continue supporting this currency if there's a little downfall for sure support will show up back. Not only that, from what I am hearing from my contacts in Australia that the 1st July date is slowing being ramped in the media and that there are a lot of buyers at the sidelines waiting for the taxes to be removed. If there ever was a time to sell this is most definetly not it. Unless you seriously needed the fiat of course. |

This seems perfect, honestly, I didn't know that Australia is going to accept bitcoin as a legal currency and removing the taxes on bitcoin. If this happens then I think that the price will get increased a bit but the split that OP is talking about I don;t think will happen otherwise there will be a mess on all cryptocurrencies. 1) Is the 1st Aug really going to be that bad and should we expect volatility in July as we approach the date?
The price will be get dumped so hard. Avoid holding btc and try to hold another coin. The bitcoin will migrate or save his decimal to the fiat. 2) Would you buy back in now or wait sitting on cash for a better price entry point in the coming weeks?
I will try another chance in altcoin. I think the fork of bitcoin will give me the more opportunity to get a decent profit on there. More people will try to cash out. Big gamble. There is no fork. |
