3261  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: July 29, 2015, 11:43:06 AM
when clicking 'buy BTC' there's a long wait time for the screen to load. You might want to place a message there ('loading please wait'...) so people know it's not just stuck.

I think purse isnt caching that list. When they would cache it then it might be able to load the page much faster. Instantly, like the other pages. I mean they dont update the offers in realtime, only show on top how many new offers came together since loading the page.

Another thing to speed this up would be to have a setting like "Show offers only from this country as standard" And then only load the offers of that country. That could speed up things too.
3262  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] SebastianJu - Free Legendary Escrow Service - Escrowed over 8150 BTC on: July 29, 2015, 11:40:10 AM

Thank you! Anytime again. Smiley
3263  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2015 1/10 oz Gold Australian Kangaroo on: July 28, 2015, 08:42:42 PM
How high is the amount of bitcoins, that i should take into escrow, exactly?

The escrow address is:
Code:
1LeHy64Tkigzsw5SDhYwoUz3zGdYDcMGJx
Please ONLY send to an escrow address i send you directly. Dont send to quotes the seller claims i wrote. Only if i send you the address directly its ensured the address is correct. I will attach a signature whose message contains the escrow address, signed with an old address of mine, i posted may 2013 on bitcointalk. See my Servicethread.

The payment of the bitcoins can be found and proved the fastest way through blockchain.info or automatically by email through bitcoinmonitor.net.

Seller, whats the bitcoin address i should release the Bitcoins later to? Please send that info to escrow and buyer so that its easily proven i sent to the correct address.

Please buyer and seller make an arrangement when the Bitcoins should be released by me. So that everyone has the same thoughts about it.

In case signed messages has to be verified, then its the fastest to visit https://brainwallet.github.io/#verify. Then you can proove fast if the signature is correct and so you know that the address is controlled by the seller.

Escrowfee is donation based... see my donation jar in my profile page... (Left side of page... click on my username) or simply scan the QR-Code from my avatar picture. Wink

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
20150728 This is the escrow address for the trade from MF Doom  to gravitate and the escrow address is 1LeHy64Tkigzsw5SDhYwoUz3zGdYDcMGJx

3265  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Stolen Bitcoin on: July 28, 2015, 08:36:14 PM
Thats interesting and i hear that the first time.

Really?  This has been well established since blockchain.info wallet was first announced.  How did you manage to participate in this forum long enough to become "Legendary" status without understanding that blockchain.info receives encrypted private keys and does not receive the decryption key?

By not using online wallets. Tongue

I never understood why someone would put his coins to a website that only serves as a wallet when he could hold his coins safe at his own home too.

Sure, but previously when you said:

Online wallets are too insecure for me. I mean why taking the risk to give another person all your bitcoins only for letting them lay there?

Someone responded explaining:

blockchain.info never gets access to your private keys.  They are stored on their server encrypted, but the encryption/decryption occurs in your browser, so they cannot steal your coins.

You do understand that your wallet doesn't actually have your bitcoins, right?  Your bitcoins (to the extent that they even exist) are represented in the blockchain that every full node has a copy of.  Your wallet is just storing your private keys for you.  If there is malware running on your computer, it can steal your bitcoins (by gaining access to your private keys) just as easily from your desktop wallet as from a web based wallet like blockchain.info.

Yes, i know that bitcoins belong to those who can access them on the global blockchain and accessing can who has the private key. Regarding blockchain.info, i simply did hear the first time that blockchain doesnt actually has the private keys. Thats interesting.

Sure, private computers can be hacked too though you can protect yourself against it. I think the past has shown that generally the risk of losing coins in an online wallet is magnitudes higher than the risk losing them on your computer, when you are cautious. The percent of online wallets that went down would have brought bitcoin down when the same percent of personal wallets on computers would have been "hacked". The online wallets are simply great targets for hackers, while hackers wont bother with personal computers too much when it is hard to get something. Hackers would prefer the quick and dirty way of mass hacking.
3266  Economy / Services / Re: Best Poker and Bingo - Playtodos.com Signature Campaign on: July 28, 2015, 08:27:46 PM
The pay rate is not fixed so it is unfair, I have post 112 posts, most of them were post in gambling section, I think OP must like we post in this section, and I am a hero member, so I get lowest pay rate? It doesn't make sense.

How many posts did you count and what was my pay rate? I got 0.1261 btc if I got 0.0013 pay rate, it means that only 97 posts count?

And I see some senior member got much higher than me, and even a full member got higher pay rate than me?
I'm sorry, but I got higher payment because I made more posts than you, which actually your rate was still higher than me. So if you make post at same amount with me, no doubt that you can get much higher payment than me  Smiley  And we should improve our post quality, like SebastianJu, he got the highest rate between us. Congrats Sebastian.

Thank you! Smiley And i know carra23 and bf4btc are very happy to have me too finally. They wanted me since a long time already. And now they got me. Cheesy

Anyway... so far i think this campaign is one of the best currently.

I wondered about the sig too. Did anything change at all?
3267  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] MarginBot - A Bitfinex Margin Lending Management Bot on: July 28, 2015, 07:06:03 PM
Is the bot able to handle Btc and Ltc lending as well?  Or does it solely work with USD?

It only works on USD. I wonder if the bot works fully fine now. I stopped using bitfinex when all the complaints started. Withdraws, wrong orderbooks, wrong swap payments, no answers and so on. It reminded me too much on the beginning of problems on exchanges that afterwards claimed being hacked... or so.

It worked great when i used it and i had a lot of ideas to optimize it but the work-reward is not so high so that i didnt work on it.
3268  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Is BTCFlex.com has a established Reputation Already? on: July 28, 2015, 06:59:06 PM
It surely establishes trust when a bunch of newbies claim a website is working that all established members warn of.

Be cautious readers... nowadays its standard for scammers to promote their offers with a bunch of newbie accounts, that they control, and give themselfe reviews.

Even when these newbies would be real... and payments are done at the start... payments will stop before you will get back most of your coins. You will lose for sure.

Yes binaries can be risky, I lost a lot trading on my own, that is why I am using auto signals now, and doing very well.

Good day Doug

And you spend all day to show others that you earn very much with it. While the original seller stopped promoting in his original thread.

Obvious things are obvious comes to mind i think. Smiley
3270  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BITBILL.eu -> Pay all your bills with Bitcoins! (Or one of the other crypto's) on: July 28, 2015, 06:53:46 PM
A site with beautiful design.
Has anyone tested the service to give feedback?

My payment says paid on their site but i cant judge yet if it really went through.

Will see what happens and can post here when it really worked.

Of course... a working payment wouldnt mean that it will work for the future too. Being cautious is good all the time.
3271  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for some Web Development work for Bitcoins on: July 28, 2015, 05:27:13 PM
I wont vouch for him. I only can tell you that i was escrow in a trade between BTCBLOGGER and a website owner who had a security issue on his website. BTCBLOGGER was able to fix the hole and the website owner is happy now.

I would advise to use an escrow when using his services since even though it looks to me like he has knowledge, he has red trust. So be cautious. Better safe than sorry. Smiley
3272  Economy / Goods / Re: Prepaid MasterCard Red Reloadable With own Bic/Iban on: July 28, 2015, 04:59:54 PM
It seems the seller does not accept any escrow at all. Hgerson asked me to be the escrow and Mark0000 declined because he doesnt want to accept Bitcoins. So hgerson offered to deposit 2 Bitcoins in my escrow address. That would be 4 times the value of the card. He then offered that Mark0000 sends the card to hgerson and hgerson pays the card then with skrill. In the case hgerson would default then i would have 2 Bitcoins, which would be worth way enough for me to pay Mark0000 the skrill money he wanted.

It would have been fully save but Mark0000 declined.

Im not really sure what problem Mark has but i would say you guys should be cautious with his offer. There was simply NO reason to not accept that offer. There was no risk involved.
3273  Other / Meta / Re: Connecting to BCTalk.org on: July 28, 2015, 09:25:57 AM
Lately i have not seldom the error message "Encrypted connection failed". Might mean the https. Since the error message is new i guess its related to the ddos-protection service theymos is testing?

503 happens often too of course. Didnt change on that front. Smiley
3274  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] SebastianJu - Free Legendary Escrow Service - Escrowed over 8150 BTC on: July 28, 2015, 08:03:12 AM
SebastianJu escrowed a 0.4 BTC trade between myself and yeponlyone. All went well, excellent service. Thanks again!

Thank you... anytime again. Smiley

sebastian just escrowed a 1.8 btc deal for me.. hes a cool dude 4sure
very responsive and patient in explaining stuff to noobz, courteous, and just humble.. also, besides all that hes also a freaking genius, because free, donation/tip-based, escrow is probably making him as much as all the 1% escrowers.. i know i appreciate these kinds of gestures and am more likely to tip more than 1% just for that.. he keeps taking my money with his "free" service, i know your game sebastian!

Cheesy You gave me a good laugh.

Thanks for the nice review. And yes, i like donation more because you know that the user were pleased when you get tipped. So... thanks... Smiley

Till next time...

In hindsight i believe it was a good thing. I remember a lot of these wallets, claiming they are ultra secure, only to be "hacked" in a short time. Cheesy
3276  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which is the best bill payment provider at the moment? on: July 27, 2015, 09:02:58 PM
I've only used BitBill.eu , only works for EU atm Smiley

Thanks! I tried them out now since they are especially in the EU. I found two errors and reported them here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=978504.msg11985928#msg11985928

I hope they do their job fine since the reviews on their site doesnt have a high rating. Though thats at least a sign that they probably are no scammers. Scammers surely would make sure that he reviews are excellent.
3277  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BITBILL.eu -> Pay all your bills with Bitcoins! (Or one of the other crypto's) on: July 27, 2015, 09:00:55 PM
I tried out your service. It has two bugs. I entered xxx,xx as the value and the script told me that i cant pay more than 1000€. Roll Eyes I then changed the , to a . and it worked. Even though you are in europe and the examples are with , too.

Next thing... the error windows stating the error pushed all the remaining form to the right side so that i could access the first field only by going into a later formfield and go backwards with shift-tab.

I hope all goes well since the reviews on your site state 1.8/5. Though at least you dont have faked reviews. Surely you would have a 4.9 when you would be scammers. Smiley

I hope you do this with a bank account that you only use for that matter. Not for other things like rent of your flat, gas and so on. Losing an account surely is no fun when you have to change all connections to that account to a new one.
3278  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: July 27, 2015, 08:05:06 PM
Mine was acting on emotions. Roll Eyes Let me tell you that emotions are the worst when it comes to investments. If you ever feel that you have to invest now in order to not lose a chance... then DONT invest. Let it be. There is no chance big enough to act on emotions. And for the most part these emotions are a bad advice anyway.

That is a very important lesson. It's also one of the hardest to take on board and implement. If you can put those types of feelings to bed then you're way ahead of most people.

Definitely. Its unbelieveably hard. The feeling might even manipulate you to think you did your due diligence. Its like an incredible force. Adrenaline. Maybe its similar to what gamblers feel.

Last time i fell for it i did my due diligence and then the price of the coin went up. I became emotional and hasty because i thought it will go up anyway and i need to get on it fast.

I think without the emotions i would have decided that i could wait until its cheaper again. And it went down.

The stupid thing is... i waited until it went up again and managed to sell for the buying price and even with a small profit, but that was because bitcoin was rising and the coin was pegged to bitcoin. Only thing... the coin didnt stop that time. It went up and up.

I doubt the selling was emotion based. It was more bad luck i think. But they buying into a high price was emotion based.

Really... when you guys feel such an urge to buy or invest because it looks SOOO great... then turn off your computer and go to sleep. Seriously. Cheesy
3279  Economy / Securities / Re: [CANNABIT] Investment Details - Announcement & Discussion Thread #cannabit on: July 27, 2015, 07:58:31 PM
Thanks for the info Sebastian. Looking forward to get rid of cryptostocks.

Yeah... when it went down i though "well... im so happy that no dividends were paid out shortly before". I mean when you ask around it seems no one knows kumala, the owner of cryptostocks, personally. And it seems he already had a "hack" once with another project. Im not really sure how it happened that cryptostocks became the exchange of choice.

Anyway... nxt has a learning curve, if you come from bitcoin, but it seems to be a nice thing.
3280  Economy / Service Discussion / Which is the best bill payment provider at the moment? on: July 27, 2015, 06:48:58 PM
Hello,

i would like to pay a bill and i know that there are a couple of services that offer this again. For example bitwala. Though i believe there are a number of them.

So i would like to know which services existe momentarely and which can be suggested, price, safety and so.

Is any of them sending SEPA for bills you dont have yet? I mean items where you only get the bill when the items are shipped. So you have to send money first.

Thanks!
