3261  Other / Meta / Re: Signature spam - how to force users to read before replying? on: June 19, 2021, 06:13:01 PM
First of all we can encourage anyone to make a good post on topic, but we can't force them at all even not by the forum. Deleting their posts isn't going to prevent them and they will do it rapidly since they need to get paid from the signature. Most probably it will hard for moderators to judge moderators either post should delete or not without reading the all replies on the main thread. If you ask me if am I reading all the replies on a thread, then I will answer no. Because it's quite complicated and a waste of time. Because some people just repeating the same thing by changing or spinning words. But of course, I have been trying to read replies by constructive users, because I can learn from them. To be honest, a lower pay rate campaign can't expect high constructive users, as a result, this Kind of spam happening.
3262  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Livecoin return of deposit on: June 19, 2021, 04:35:04 PM
I am curious to know what exactly Livecoin wants to prove by posting such as topic from newbies. This post isn't new for us, we have seen many similar posts from newbies. They just create an account to post about Livecoin. I am not getting their intentions. I can't see any similar post from existing forum users which would be countable.

I don't believe Livecoin will return funds anymore.

However, I seriously doubt OP will return to this thread after today.
I highly doubt OP will login back to the forum again.
3263  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you use BTCPay Server, don't you? Why? on: June 18, 2021, 08:15:32 PM
I am not running any website, so I haven't been using it as a payment getaway. But I made payments on Namecheap via BTCPAYSERVER. The fund was added to the account after one confirmation if I can recall correctly. There was no issue at all. Once someone asked for suggestions about selecting a payment getaway, I suggest they use BTCPAYSERVER always. I discourage using any other payment getaway which isn't under the control of Merchant means private keys aren't controlled by Merchant.
3264  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Peer-to-Peer Ad Network Powered by Bitcoin and Stacks on: June 18, 2021, 06:56:59 PM
I am quite curious about your concept but really complex to understand what you are trying to say. Is that advertising platform will place ads on a real-life digital billboard or are you talking about only on your apps and online ads? If it's limited to your apps means the ads would visible only to your users. If it's on about real-life ads billboards then it's helpful but I am not sure how it's helpful for crypto users. So please clear the concept in your mind. Seems you are creating a token and not conducting ICO sale, how are you gonna sell it? Can't found any exchange list.
3265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seed phrase security question on: June 18, 2021, 06:36:04 PM
Why are we using a hardware wallet? Because it's been hiding your wallet credentials from internet attacks. For security reasons, your seed from the device wouldn't steal by any software. Otherwise, there is no meaning to using a hardware wallet. But if you save the seed at any device anyhow then it's pretty simple to steal for hackers. So depends on the situation how are you saving your seed. Just write it on hard paper, keep it in multiple places. So even a piece of paper damage then you would recover it from another piece. Don't store it on any device either online or offline. Because your device would damage or steal at any time. If you lost your backup means your funds are gone.
3266  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hero today, it's been all fun right from the start. on: June 18, 2021, 05:55:30 PM
Congratulation, you achieved what you deserved. You deserve Legendary but have to wait for activity requirements. If I can recall exactly then your growth was faster than mine. Means you have been contributing your best. Although merit isn't centralized earning merit indeed isn't easier for noncontributors. All good contributors getting back something from the forum. And as you said and I admit it ad well, the forum members are helpful enough. Although sometimes a few users like to criticize, it's not countable. All user's behavior wouldn't be the same anyway. I feel happy when I see someone promoted to the next rank because I was a newbie once a day and I know the feeling. More contribution expecting from you. All the best.

3268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to Invest in Bitcoin?? on: June 16, 2021, 06:10:47 PM
A single reason that is enough to invest in Bitcoin and it is a peer-to-peer decentralized electronic currency system. That's all you need, everything under your control. Doesn't matter what is the current price, because the price would change but the goal of Bitcoin will exist the same forever. And that goal help to achieve Bitcoin in its current position and the worldwide population now involving with Bitcoin.

Another is a financial benefit since Bitcoin is a high volatile coin, so we are taking advantage of that. We may make handsome money from Bitcoin if we can hold with patience. Holders are always gainers, just a matter of patience.
3269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will China's crackdown on Bitcoin cause Bitcoin to become worthless? on: June 16, 2021, 06:01:58 PM
What do you mean "Bitcoin to become worthless"? Do you believe it would happen with Bitcoin ever? Just for China to ban cryptocurrency? I don't think so. I know China is a big and powerful country, but banning Bitcoin wouldn't help to prevent using Bitcoin. That means it wouldn't become worthless anymore. Bitcoin backed by the community and it's quite impossible to break down. Dump Bitcoin for a while doesn't indicate it would be worthless.
3270  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Tags for better sorting of content on: June 16, 2021, 05:54:44 PM
Tag for what? To visible thread outside the forum? I mean on Google search or any other search machine? Tag just helps to find related search. For outside forums, you may just add Bitcointalk at the end of your desired search words. So it would help you to search relates words from the forum. For on forum, it's enough to use the forum search button. To be honest forum posts all words themselves are a kind of tag. It's been reflecting during the forum search. So I don't think it's necessary to add a tag button for the forum currently.
3271  Other / Meta / Re: Lightning Network subforum proposal. on: June 16, 2021, 05:42:46 PM
Since a board exists for a few wallets, so I think Lightning Networks deserve aboard. Most forum users unaware about Lightning networks and how it works. So it would be easier to learn for them from a single board. If a thread creates for Lightning Networks, then it's going down after a few days. Lightning Networks is the most potential for Bitcoin adaption. So the idea isn't bad those are suggesting a board of Lightning Networks.
3272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep yourself out of the market? on: June 15, 2021, 06:22:31 PM
Pretty simple, just uninstall exchange from your device once you make a handsome profit. Take a rest for few days and back to the market when you think it's time to enter. I know it's easy to say but difficult to do. I can't do it myself, I have to monitor maker easily from trading apps. I have a few colleagues who have to try to do the same, but after a day they install it back. So not sure if you can control yourself. But I know it's very hard to control our greed. Often most small traders losing funds this way, because we don't have enough patience.
3273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Newbies]Learning will not make you spam[for newbies] on: June 15, 2021, 06:14:58 PM
The main problem is most newbies are introduced to the forum wrongly which has been leading to spam. We know about Bounty and most newbie joining intent is earning from here. Doesn't matter for them either they are spamming or contributing to the forum. Sadly they aren't interested in reading forum posts, just their post history describe everything. Not only newbies, but we all who aren't much experienced should also make replies after doing little research especially about sensitive issues. So we can avoid spam and would share real data with the community. I have been saying always read more than your write.
3274  Other / Meta / Re: Happy Birthday, theymos. on: June 15, 2021, 05:47:11 PM
Happy birthday 🎂
Surprisingly it's my birthday too. The forum reminds my birthday once I visit my profile today. Thanks to the forum as well, I forgot about my birthday. My age counting 36  Grin (it's my real birthday).

Best wishes for you theymos, for me as well.
3275  Other / Archival / Re: is simantobd account changed ownership? Lets find out.. on: June 15, 2021, 05:03:15 PM
I will encourage the OP to do deep research before accusing someone. Just being active after a long time always doesn't mean ownership of the account has been changed. And he isn't obliged to answer your question by the way. Just use the escrow service if you are going to trade with him. This isn't for that user only, when you are going to deal on the forum just use escrow service if the seller isn't well trusted here. If you can provide more noticeable evidence then we may ask few more questions. Otherwise harassing someone isn't looking good.
3276  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Human Protocol IDO website on: June 14, 2021, 07:11:02 PM
So it is a phishing attempt? Is there any real project? If so please add the link as well on the OP. So we will aware and compare it. This type of attack not new. Scammers always take advantage of some good names as we can see from our previous experience. That's why it's important to verify the contract address before investing in any project. Please add also original and fake contract addresses as well if possible. Anyway, thanks for sharing it with the community.
3277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Privacy enhancing strategy on centralized exchanges possible? on: June 14, 2021, 06:53:08 PM
There is no true delete button in the virtual or internet world. So I don't believe Binance will erase your information although you delete the account. If that question about privacy, then still you are at risk. When you use your card to buy Bitcoin means you already expose your identity. Create an account then buy Bitcoin and delete, mix, and so on is too much harassment. And you have to spend fees for that. If you struggle then you may buy peer-to-peer or from your local exchange. Once you come to the centralized, then you can't save your privacy by the way.
3278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Growing emergence of Bitcoin and cryptos in Tanzania on: June 14, 2021, 06:04:42 PM
Good to see more countries are keeping roles in Bitcoin adaption. Those countries ban cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin, I have to say they have lack of knowledge about Bitcoin. But when they realize that Bitcoin is a potential cryptocurrency and know about its technology then they change their mind. Most probably they don't want to stay back, that's why moving forward to Bitcoin adaption. No one could stop or prevent Bitcoin from using it. So I think it's better to accept, so the government could get tax from users.
3279  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any Crypto crowfunding Website? on: June 14, 2021, 05:07:55 PM
First of all, you need to create a reason why investors should choose your platform to invest there. No one will invest if you just say that you want to build an exchange. I think it better to present all of your plans on your website and create a native token that's how you could raise funds directly through your website. More batter is if you can sell through and exchange, but since you have a lack of funds it wouldn't happen. So better suggestions from my ends above. Prepare your whitepaper and roadmap and present it to crypto investors. But you should have sufficient funds to advertise your platform and spread the word. Otherwise, it's quite complicated to raise funds.
3280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible to convert altcoins into bitcoin and withdraw? on: June 13, 2021, 07:29:33 PM
If you are holding dust then it's not worth moving due to transaction fees. If it'd traded in coinbase, then you might exchange with Bitcoin. I am not sure the coinbase account is linked with the coinbase pro. Otherwise, you have to spend fees to transfer there if listed your coin in coinbase pro. You should take a look at where your coins are listed. Check-in CMC, then you have to move your holdings on the exchange where it's been trading. Then calculate the transaction and withdrawal fees. As long as your holding trading somewhere means you can simply exchange.
