Bitcoin is more closely akin to a teenager. Both in years and level of development. It's not fully mature, but it's certainly no baby.
While you're pretty much correct, you have to a bit tolerant with the terms used. In the same way as with the $69k ATH some people have just started reading about Bitcoin and it's CPU mining (!), we can expect people come and consider Bitcoin still in it infancy. I will translate some joke I've heard: - *sigh* - Oh, Martin, why are you crying? - *sigh* - What on Earth has happened? - Aristotle has died!! *sigh* - Oh, Martin, but Aristotle has died more than 2000 years ago! - *sigh* yes, it doesn't matter, I've found out only today! *sigh*

You do have a point (nice tutorial!!), but since at least an address is kept at hand (for looking up the balance), that tends to tell the story. But indeed, the point of also writing down what software one has used (wallet or not!) to generate the seed - if he keeps seed instead of private key - is very useful.

Plan B is CIA agent, I understand you want to ask me for proof , At the same time You need to understand I cannot share everything here with you but I try to give you some details:
[~snip~]
last note: there are more CIA agent in Crypto space, Plan B only is one of them, I cant share all of them, Such informations are not for free.
The fact the man (or woman) got some predictions right may or may not mean anything. (Why CIA agent and not professional see-in-stars-and-predict-in-coffee type of person that may travel with the circus?) And the fact some may be CIA agents is obvious for two reasons: * on can have a steady job, even at CIA, and still be interested in crypto * CIA can have "legitimate interest" in keeping an eye on this "movement" Sorry OP, you managed to say... nothing... ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

If it's online and has never been online, at least you can be sure it can't be hacked.
I think that you meant "if it's NOT online and has never been"... ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) how can I be sure that in 20 years from now, Exodus wallet will still be a working product, that I can download from a new computer perhaps and import my seed into? This never made sense to me, I'm depending on the creator of the software it seems to me.
You don't have to rely onto a working product. You have to rely on existing standards. If you generate a BIP39 seed, that should work also in 20 years. If you save a private key, that should also work in 20 years. I agree with LoyceV. For long term holding I recommend you generate the wallet in a safe offline environment with no persistence/storage. Write down (onto paper) the seed or private key, write down the address (or, if it's HD wallet then any address), verify thoroughly what you've written down (maybe use a wallet to recover from seed or private key and see if the address obtained is the same), send your coins there, watch your wallet on online block explorer or import the address as watch wallet. As long as your private key or seed never touches anything online, it should be safe/safer.

The true option for lower fee option is the use of lightning network, but I am wondering why big exchanges like Binance and Coinbase are not yet supporting it when there are many exchanges that accept bitcoin lightning payment. Because they don't care. It took them years to implement support for native segwit addresses, which is trivial to do, easily compatible with all their existing infrastructure, and completely safe. It will take them even longer I'm sure to implement Lightning support, given that it requires them to set up brand new infrastructure and still has a number of bugs and issues being worked on. And it affects their profits. Remember that Binance charge an insane amount of bitcoin withdrawals in order to entice newbies who don't understand any better to buy their centralized scam tokens instead. If you can withdraw for free via Lightning, then they lose their insane withdrawals fees and they lose a large amount of volume on their scam chains. Even more, I think that most exchange are taking it slow with LN because those huge fees also make users consider keeping their coins in exchanges' custody (I've read a good number of times that people keep their money here and there because their friends also have money on the same platform and sending bitcoins to each other is free. Of course, they don't realize that it's off chain and the implications). Then, let's be fair: LN is still labeled as "beta". Businesses will hide between this label whenever it suits them. So, let's see their point of view: on chain, big bucks from fees, people keep their money in custody because of this or use shitcoins and "smart chains" (oh, the irony!) versus spending money into implementing/adopting something new, labeled as beta, which makes all that income and advantages (slowly) disappear. As long as the number of exchanges actually using LN is small (i.e. the competition), the big ones have no benefit in doing that.

he yielded his money to some centralized power and now his money is frozen, how ironic it is.
His money was in others' custody for all his life. He doesn't find this ironic. This is what happens for most of the world. What he's doing... I find it a poor excuse for the fact he's losing his customers' money. And instead of admitting that gold price is going down the toilet, he blames some authorities for the fact he was sloppy and he didn't see this coming when the war has become real.

In mod interesnt totusi, acesta pare a fi prima ta postare in romana?

Any advice from those who have been in crypto for a long time for those who are seeing this market for the first time?
Learn about Bitcoin price cycles. Learn about DCA. Learn to have patience. If you try do day trading, learn with small amounts, which you do afford to lose. If you try to invest, DCA. If you are unsure what to do, learn util you're sure (just make sure you finish your learning well before next ATH). I think that you're pretty much fortunate. Crypto winter is imho one of the best times to get into Bitcoin. Whether you invest or not yet, the experience remains.

From what I know, if you double-click the .asc file, Kleoparta will try to import it. But it has to have extension asc, not txt, not asc.txt, .. and the content has to be correct and should be checked with notepad. I remember that I had error importing an asc not long ago because I've pressed right-click/save as and the saved file was not the expected asc, instead it was a html although the filename was asc. So.. double check before importing!
Even more, if you want all nice and green, as a second step inside Kleopatra you could create a temporary certificate for yourself and (right click) certify the keys you've imported.

I still have to look more times at least, in slow motion, to that crash. I still don't understand what has happened there. I'm incredibly happy that nobody got hurt. The overall race was mad. I will watch it again. Indeed almost anybody could win. I am happy for Carlos though. He does deserve victories in F1. Impressive run for Checo though. And also for Lewis, I have to admit that.

Here's what it will mean to crypto - absolutely nothing.
The majority of that gold will just be sold to China anyway, in exchange for developing infrastructure in Uganda (China has historically helped African countries with this model).
Sooner or later the countries will diversify their reserve assets. So more gold can drive gold price down, but may also have an indirect effect on Bitcoin (very long term) price too. Everything counts in large amounts.

This is the first time I see this puzzle This puzzle was posted before. The first reference I've found on that address here @ bitcointalk is from December 2020, but, indeed, buried in a topic about a completely different (type of) puzzle: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1306983.msg55361483#msg55361483And usually the fact it's not solved for 1.5 years means that it's too difficult or it has an error.

Silver is a better metal to hold for inflation as there is about 1,500,000 tons mined as I type so finding 2,000,000 tons is unlikely and my fear of silver flooding the market is not so big.
Imho gold is so expensive because it's being hoarded by the central banks and other institutions. It's not only about the scarcity, it's also about the demand. So the silver example may not be the best, since, although it's indeed scarce, the demand is also not that good.

I don't like this system very much because in case you lose both your A and R keys you will lose everything, and you won't be able to recover your coins. In case you lose A-key, you will need to buy new A-key because R-key can only be used for backup, and you can't add wallet, add account, add coin or move assets.
While it does look neat, I would not buy it. I don't think that I'd buy a HW that doesn't allow me make an old fashioned non-electronic backup. If that's the only option, I'd simply use cold storage for the relevant funds.

Those legal legal clippings they refer to are a formality, as the letter of the law requires them to do so.
Yep, this is most probably correct. Therefore, if the funds are not returned to the user at the address from which they came, I will consider this precedent as a fraud.
Indeed, let's see what happens in the next few days. If they still keep the funds, the situation becomes clear. Note that the feedback has been bumped 48 times: BestChange allows the exchanger to cancel the claim (this happened 20 times). Then, Janyiah can renew the claim (which happened 19 times). That alone is very shady: imagine if any user on Bitcointalk could turn their negative feedback into neutral just by clicking it.
This is indeed a system that can be abused by the exchanges. Not good.

I don't see how what he does can be called DCA, if you stick to DCA you have to stick to a schedule and of equal amounts, buying when you have money is nowhere close to it, is just gambling. One of their buys was equal to 1/3 of their total, no average to be seen here..
You do have a point indeed. I'd say that he does the DCA in the same way I do it: buy (periodically) whenever you have some liquidity available. The thing is that he doesn't always have at hand as much fiat as he'd like. At least that's how I see it. But you're right. It's not exactly by the book.

Corect. In privinta premiului in sine, cred totusi ca nu este vorba doar de un set de 3 monede, ci de doua seturi. Cel ptuin, asta inteleg eu din ce a scris OP: Up for raffle is a loaded mybits series 2 set of three coins!
