We reached triple digits, called it!

I'm sure it's going to go lower though, maybe a bottom between 500 and 750?

It's hard to say though because it entirely depends on when Karl stops dumping the premine.
3262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: December 12, 2016, 08:20:48 AM
Two reasons why I disagree:

1) I don't think START integration will take as long as you think it will.
2) I don't think Karl is dumping START on the market. I think he's using his own money to buy START from the premine.

Both my opinions.

Interesting, i guess we will see which prediction will come true.

Also, more needs to be done for the platform to function other than startcoin integration right? Do you have an overview of the roadmap other than Altcoin/FIAT integration?
3263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: December 09, 2016, 08:46:41 AM
All alts are in a major slump this time of year with more people trying to cash out money than invest it. This usually turns around on Christmas and accelerates through January.

Meanwhile, START implementation is being worked on right now and will be the first payment method on StartJoin coming soon.

Between the two I'd definitely expect a major rally in a few weeks. The price may be low, but there's not a lot of volume at this level, so no one's going to be loading up a serious amount here. Any activity on the buy side is going to push the price right back up in a very short time.
And I'm banging Katey Perry

So you have no argument against any of the content of my post. Excellent.

I will not empty my bag at these prices. I would better see some reasonable range or hold my bag for undetermined period of time.

People shouldn't treat these markets as if they're liquid all the time or like there's any semblance of true price discovery during low volume periods such as the entire altcoin market has been going through due to both the time of year and Bitcoin's rally. Times like these are for buying slowly or holding, not for selling. It's time for bargain hunting, not selling to bargain hunters.

The slow launch of the site combined with the state of altcoin markets mean buying is essentially on hold, which is enough to freak out some holders and cause them to sell into nothing, creating low volume dips that are fairly meaningless in the long run. This is hardly unusual and as volume picks back up after Christmas the prices will start to make more sense. Given that will happen at the same time StartJoin is picking up momentum and functionality means more fuel for the fire.

In all reality though, nothing will happen to the price until there is a reason for it to rise. That means that the price will not go up AT LEAST until the startcoin integration is done, but possibly some releases later. Taking into account the speed of development historically, i'm expecting at least a month, maybe 2 until this happens.

Until then, nobody will buy because they have no reason to. I sold a bunch at 1700ish and have no reason to buy back now because i don't see anything happening in the forseeable future. Meanwile, Karl Gray will continue to dump the StartCoin premine into the dead market to fund development.

I agree with you that the price will go up in the future Jason, but i'm also saying we will probably see triple digits before that.

Nevermind I answered my own question. Startcoin has not paid out it's weekly dividends since may... So why is this still active may I just ask ?
It is not even busy nothing is going on there are the same projects there and never change. I don't know who is actually funding them.

A renewed beta version of the site has just been launched 2 weeks ago (the old site was hacked in May and closed off). They are now fixing bugs and integrating StartCoin, so we should see it come back on track in the near future.
3265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 17, 2016, 02:47:02 PM
looks like we reached a new bottom, does someone know when the platform is full functionable.

They are doing continuous development so we can monitor the process nicely. Maybe we will see something good before the end of the year. The bugfixing has just been going for a week though, so it's tough to say.
3266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 17, 2016, 02:42:36 PM
i dont care what anyone says - this is someone dumping free startcoin. If they bought it they wouldnt be dumping like this

what does he mean by "hacked SC"?  . . . . so there has been a hack and someone got millions of free startcoin? is this common knowledge as if i knew i would have dumped when it happened

It happened in May this year
3267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 17, 2016, 09:26:48 AM
Look at the sell walls. No one is putting their sell orders at 2k+ and hoping to sell. That only drives the price down, which would be self-defeating. There's only one reason for those walls... suppression. I GUARANTEE IT. The FUD is way, way beyond reasonable and detached from reality and I'm starting to think Frank's tantrum was a ploy to drive it down further. He can't be that stupid... can he? Even the FUDers in chat let slip now and then that they want to buy low. What's going on is clear.  I know it's hard to see for people who haven't sat here for years staring at these markets day in and day out, but I can tell you this: I have NO fear of losing in the long run. My only uncertainty is the time frame.

Karl said publicly he's interested in buying back coins for SCH and that these low prices will make it easier. Anyone who claims he's trying to abandon the coin is full of shit and has an ulterior motive. They even tried to freak people out by threatening a 51% attack or fork, which was utter nonsense. Just more FUD.

I'm almost done with my bot and then I'm going to attempt to trade this range and build a floor with the profits. I just have to be careful not to remove anything at a loss because I don't want to get burnt when these games end and the pump blows right past me. Wish me luck.

I agree it doesn't look like he will abandon the coin, he took way too much shit from the Startcoin chat for that. He also seems relatively involved with the site progress.

I'm also sure the price will be up in the long run, no doubt at all, but its hard to say where the bottom will be. Somewhere between 1000-1300 maybe?
3268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 16, 2016, 02:51:01 PM
Well, it seems things are starting to look better:
-First bugfix release is scheduled, fixing a bunch of identified bugs
-New releases are scheduled every other day, so we get at least bi-daily updates as well as agile development of the platform
-Dumping seems to slow down.

As for the FUD, i think it's partially FUD and the market is just honestly dissatisfied. The release was maybe 10% as good as  they made it out to be; instead of a full platform an early stage beta was released. I totally understand a price drop after that.
Even so, with the current state of the platform, if development continues and updates actually keep coming out, the price is certain to minimally double. If the platform is finalized, i can't see startcoin below 1mil market cap.

The only thing to do now is estimate the bottom, and hope the dev team delivers.
3269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 14, 2016, 09:21:41 AM
Ah yeah, a bag of premium beef jerky and 72 oz of Belgian white ale to celebrate the bounty of cheap coins the mentally ill dumper is raining down on me. =)

Talked to Karl earlier. These guys are so full of shit it's ridiculous. Sell to them and you reward scammers at your own loss. 600k market cap right now and #102 on the coinmarketcap list last I checked, alongside some of the most bullshit coins out there... for a coin with more going for it than 99% of the coins in existence. All because of one crybaby with more money than sense.

You are looking at a FEAST my friends. This is a gift you will not likely see ever again. Congrats to those with the sense to see it.

"Never let a good crisis go to waste."

Cheers!

So what did Karl say? I'm sure they are developing the platform but I haven't seen a lot in the way of feedback/updates/announcements from the development team.

I agree with you that a beta release, optimized with community feedback, will give some impulse to the market. However, all good projects have one thing in common: the dev team is in constant discussion with the community. So far since the release the community and dev team have not been really active, i see no discussion at all and no activity.

Not trying to FUD, just trying to clear things up and get the uncertainty out of the market

The good news is that these won't get dumped. They're in strong hands now. Smiley

Limit Buy   225724.64557125   0.00001999   -4.52577914
Limit Buy   100000.00000000   0.00002000   -2.00500000
Congrats on making top wallet then. Wink

Just one guy in chat that thinks he's punishing Karl by dumping his coins for cheap. Price won't stay down for long. Wink
Why exactly would he feel the need to punish Karl?

I have 1.000 reasons to punish him, but let's resume in 3:

1. UNPROFESSIONALISM

2. LACK OF TRANSPERENCY

3. 0 SHITS GIVEN TO INVESTORS

Just remember you're also punishing people that are following your trading advice on Bitcointalk Smiley. I'm now left with a bag of this coin, and who knows when will I get a chance to exit...

On the other hand, we should have hit the bottom approximately. Crazy manipulation aside, how can it be lower after release than before the release announcement?

Wow the past few days have been brutal. I'm surprised there has not been any sort of pump, considering the SJ platform is actually usable again, SJ twitter is active and coin development is at least on the roadmap.
It's such a big contrast with where the coin was when it was at 1600 sat. I guess it's possible confidence in the coin is genuinely this low, but still it doesn't make sense to me that we don't see any buying pressure at all.
3274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 10, 2016, 04:36:35 PM
sub-3k volume almost completely dried up

Unbelievable that the price is still here while every ounce of common sense says to not sell, looks like manipulation to me.
3276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 09, 2016, 03:06:39 PM
You guys must be trading tiny amounts if you think it touching these prices matters without any volume or liquidity. In my world there's still nothing to buy below 3100-3300, just like earlier. Movements below that are random noise. It'll only take one trader deciding to buy 5 BTC to bust down that bot suppression wall.

You're going to get left in the dust and it serves you right for trading on fear:
https://twitter.com/StartJOIN/status/796331372793200640

I do respect your opinion and advice, but yes, I'm trading tiny amounts - roughly about 4-5 BTC invested in 3-4 coins.

You on the other hand, are incapable of respectful communication obviously Smiley. I don't know where the anger is coming from and the need to talk down to people. Chill mate, enjoy your riches.

If I had as many BTC as you do, I would adjust my trading accordingly.

And, would you believe if I told you that I'm waiting for the upward movement just so I can sit back and relax, without any intention to take profits tomorrow or next week. I'm only thinking about selling if it keeps going down.

Don't you see it doesn't matter how much BTC you invest? The movements of the market are the same for you as for him. Therefore, if he has a reason to be confident, this reason is valid for you as well.

I'm just saying: judge the market from a market perspective, not your personal perspective.

My hands are getting weak.

Then dump. You'll help make me the top wallet. I'll be glad to make your profit for you. It'll be better spent by someone who isn't so short sighted anyway Smiley

I'm not short sighted, or I wouldn't be here. It's easy for you to hodl when you are among top wallets. There are also some small fish here...

Small fish, big fish, it's all the same. If you have weak hands, you won't profit.

It's really sad that people mentally handicapped enough to sell 2 days before StartJoin launches are online throwing away their disability money. They need more supervision. =(

It's understandable though, there have been no official updates for a week and it's imaginable there will be another delay. It's quite the gamble though, if it does launch they are missing out on much more than some marginal gains.
3279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 04, 2016, 12:30:45 PM
Pump is hear but i don`t think we will see mega pump, my exit point is around 12k

We are going to touch 50k satoshis.

50k maybe a little positive.. Though if StartJoin V2 is good, it can easily be stable in the 7500-10000 range. A good pump could take it to several times that level. Still a risk to wait that long though!

I could see this one going to all time new highs. Why not?

I guess it could, it's impossible to predict. Though so many people bought in just for the potential of an after release pump, I wonder how much support there will be when it starts to slow down or reverse.
