3261  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How long to crack 24 word phrase if you know all 24 words out of order? on: January 31, 2022, 03:35:57 PM
OP, Thanks man... this discussion has blown my mind, because I would have thought it would be much easier, if you know the 24 words. Now, I can re-design my strategy to "hide" my seed words in plain sight. (I have a method to store it in plain sight, but with a template to decipher it)

I do this, so that my family would be able to get to my bitcoins when I am gone. They know the answers to my questions and they have the template, so I can make it easier for them now.  Wink

19 million years.... Who would have guessed that.   Shocked
3262  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 31, 2022, 03:25:16 PM
Stake.com has increased their daily race prizes to $100k from $10k! This is not a joke! I can't imagine how much profit Stake making everyday that they can take such decision. Nowadays, the number of online users always staying around 10k at Stake. I think it is a good move from Stake team. The prizes will be shared among the top 5k users everyday.

The problem is that Stake are offering more and more bonuses and Race prizes and funding Paid streamers and also sponsoring lots of sport celebrities, but we have to pay for that. Yes, it is good marketing... but what do you sacrifice for all of this?

Judging from the "Chat" it looks like people are winning a lot less and when they win it seems to be lower multipliers than usual. When I started at Stake, I won regularly with different "Seeds" .... but lately things are looking pretty bad.

Is this just me... or have other people noticed the same? (Do you think the RTP are less.. with all of this aggressive marketing going on?)
3263  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2022-01-25 CNBC - Drop bitcoin as legal tender, IMF urges El Salvador on: January 31, 2022, 09:49:51 AM
The IMF already threatened not to give any more loans to El Salvador when they announced that they are going to accept Bitcoin as a legal tender. It is clear that they are seeing that El Salvador are serious with their acceptance of Bitcoin as a legal tender and they are also seeing that it is succeeding and other countries want to do the same. (Example : Tonga)

The IMF are shit scared that this will happen in other countries and that they would lose their death grip on these nations. Their strategy has always been to use debt to control things in other countries, because they know they have that power over them.  Angry
3264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 31, 2022, 06:16:34 AM
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) does not want El Salvador to use Bitcoin as legal tender, because they want them to stay with the US Dollar, so that they can loan more money to them and thus control whatever they do in their country. (Their power come from the control they have with the loan sword they hold over these countries heads)

They threatened El Salvador just after they made the announcement that they would adopt Bitcoin as legal tender, that they will not loan more money to them, if they do that.  Roll Eyes

3266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is valuable? on: January 30, 2022, 07:26:44 PM
What gave "shells" and "large carved round stones" their value ...back in the day? It's rarity ...and also the work that was put in to create it. Well, a lot of energy and money goes into Bitcoin mining and as you said... it has a limited supply, so it makes it desirable.  Wink

The same goes for something like Gold & Silver and other precious minerals and commodities. It is simple.. if there is a demand for something and if there are a limited supply... people will pay higher prices for it. (Also add to that... Bitcoin grants them easy and cheap international transmittance)  Wink

The verification of the KYC details are taking longer than usual because Stake suddenly decided that Level 2 and level 3 verification will grant people Increased bonus drops and Higher weekly bonuses for VIPs.  Roll Eyes

Eddie also mentioned in one of his streams that verification will be a requirement to be eligible for "Rain" one of these days, so I reckon more people than usual are trying to verify their accounts.

One of these days Stake will have enough verified users, not to worry about gamblers that are not verified ..and they might kick those people from their site and make KYC a requirement to play there.  Roll Eyes
3268  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and the economy on: January 30, 2022, 02:37:44 PM
You will see that most of the countries that banned Bitcoin has some kind of Autocratic leadership or authoritarian government. The reason why they are banning Bitcoin is simple, because it threatens their control of their people.

They do not want people to have financial freedom or for them to think for themselves. They want to control their money in the corrupt Banking system and they want their people to be poor and dependent on them.  Angry

Bitcoin gives people financial freedom and the choice not to be controlled. Their financial transactions are also pseudo anonymous and most governments hate that.  Wink
3269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Bitcoin on: January 30, 2022, 10:06:09 AM
Well, first of all ..Congratulations on achieving the goal that you set for yourself.  Wink

Now, the difficult part of your journey starts... which is the will power to hold onto that coin... seeing that you will be bombarded with temptations to spend the coin on something or to Sell it at the next all-time-high price.   Tongue

You have shown determination to achieve your goal, so I hope you can show the same determination to hoard through difficult times and to make sure that you maximize the satisfaction when you eventually take the massive rewards.  Wink (I bought at $400... and hoarded for years to sell some at $60 000)
3270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I invested $100 for 18 years for my new born nephew on: January 29, 2022, 06:31:53 PM
I think the $100 investment in Bitcoin is good as a "high risk" investment, but something can go wrong and then he has nothing to study with. I will rather invest in his Dad, because his Dad needs the boost now. Give him another opportunity to do short courses on the Internet to equip himself to acquire new skills to get a higher salary. (Then he can fund his own child's studies)

Option 2 : Teach your Brother about Bitcoin and introduce him to this forum... if he qualifies for a good signature campaign, he can get between $10 to $50 extra every week doing that ...and he can save that for his child's future.  Wink
3271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis: Australian Open 2022 on: January 29, 2022, 05:03:35 PM
Rafael Nadal is one step away from his record 21st Grand Slam title and him and Daniil Medvedev have met four times, with Nadal winning three but Medvedev winning the last one in 2020 in London.  Wink  So Nadal will probably chase that record and with Medvedev having had some serious battles with Nick Kyrgios and Cressy... he might be tired. (Medvedev will still be chasing a victory to get the world's No. 1 ranking from Djokovic)

I will be putting my money on Nadal winning this one... but it is going to be a tough one.  Wink

3272  Economy / Economics / Re: The CIA Is Deep Into Cryptocurrency, Director Reveals on: January 29, 2022, 03:26:39 PM
Well, I seriously doubt that the CIA has anything to do with the development of Bitcoin... Why would they approach Gavin Andresen back in the day to find out more about Bitcoin.. if they invented it.  Roll Eyes

I do believe that they are working with Cryptographers and Blockchain forensic companies to gather information about criminal activities that are being done with Crypto currencies and also to follow money that was used in criminal activities.  Wink
3273  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚡Thunderpick.com ⚡ Crypto Esports Betting on: January 29, 2022, 11:29:08 AM
I think the "no fees" policy is going to be the thing that is going to draw a lot of people. I do not know how they going to keep that up.. but it is definitely a good "bait" to draw people to this casino.  Wink

What I have previously found with other casinos that tried this, was that they would start with the "no fees" policy and later when they have pulled a lot of gambler... suddenly apply a strict withdrawal limit to qualify for this "no fees" withdrawal.  Roll Eyes
3274  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: January 28, 2022, 07:03:38 PM
The one thing that I hate the most must be when they start out with very relaxed KYC requirements to bait people to play there and when they grow a big enough user base, they suddenly start to demand that strict verification be required to play at the casino.

Why was it OK for people to gamble at the casino when they were small.. but once they grow bigger.. it change so rapidly.? Also ....people who win big... suddenly gets scrutinized to see if they can find an excuse not to pay them.  Angry
3275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 28, 2022, 06:16:51 AM
OP, you must have balls of diamonds to resist the urge not to sell some at $60 000!

I have to admit, I bought my first bitcoins when the price was about $400+ and I have sold most of them when the price reached $1000 / $17 000 and then again at $30 000 and $60 000.

I do not regret the decision at all, because I was able to destroy my debt that was hanging over me like Cancer... and I have since used the money that I paid towards that debt ..to buy back more Crypto currencies.

Being debt free and actually having paid assets and money in the Bank are liberating to say the least....  Wink
3276  Economy / Economics / Re: The Russian economy is on the verge of collapse. What to expect? on: January 28, 2022, 06:02:37 AM
#DrBeer, the thing is this.....  when the Western world threatened to stop money transfers through SWIFT, the Russian government knew that money transfers cannot be stopped.. because Crypto currencies offered them an alternative option to do this.

So for them it is a two edge sword.... because they need it to transfer money internationally and on the other side of the coin ..Crypto  provide a method for it's own citizens to transfer their wealth out of Russia.

Mr. Putin also know that a can of worms has already been opened, so to stop Crypto now..is almost impossible. (Most people already shifted their wealth or a portion of it to safe havens or cold storage)  Roll Eyes
3277  Economy / Economics / Re: Dealing with tax and crypto ban on: January 28, 2022, 05:41:20 AM
Let's not beat around the bush here...

Mr. Putin only shy away from a total ban on Crypto currencies because he knows that Russia is becoming a mining stronghold and a possible monopoly over Bitcoin mining, will put him in a position of strength. We know western countries are threatening with extreme sanctions if he invades the Ukraine, so he needs some tool to evade restrictions on money transfers...and Crypto currencies will provide that to him.

The tax income from Crypto currency trades and mining is also a very good boost and something that will fund his war efforts.    Roll Eyes
3278  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — We are putting 1 BITCOIN into Space! 🚀🛰️ on: January 27, 2022, 06:38:55 AM

Hey everybody Smiley

I am super excited to spread the news from our parent company, Yolo Group.

We are putting 1 BITCOIN into Space! Cool

Here's a short overview of what's going to happen:

Yolo Group has partnered up with ESTCube-2 (Estonian Student Satellite Foundation), who will help us send one Bitcoin to space!

What is ESTCube-2?

A project ran by Estonian satellite organisation composed of space enthusiasts and students.
Their mission is to launch their new innovative satellite to space in Q4 2022.

The main pursuit of the ESTCube project is to develop, build and launch scientific nanosatellite missions.
In addition to technical challenges, the project aims to promote and popularise science in schools and among the general public.

You can read more about them here: https://www.estcube.eu/

Maarja Pärt, Yolo Group CEO said:
"Finding innovative solutions has always been embedded in Yolo Group’s DNA and working with the ESTCube team has provided the perfect opportunity to do so."

I'll keep you updated, so stay tuned!

To the moon Wink

I just want to know what the whole idea will be to put a Bitcoin in space? I mean ...if you put a bitcoin on a paper wallet and you laminate it and you store it in the Svalbard Global Seed Vault on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen in the remote Arctic, it will serve the same purpose.. right? (Almost unreachable)

I want to see scientists experimenting with inter planetary Crypto currency transactions, because we all know Elon Musk are preparing to colonize Mars. (The signal delays will be a challenge and these scientists can try to resolve those types of challenges)

3279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a fraction of Global Assets value (Ark-Invest report) on: January 27, 2022, 06:16:03 AM
It will also be interesting to know if they can calculate the transactions that are being done with the Lightning Network too.. and not just transactions that are done on the Legacy Bitcoin Blockchain.  Huh

Yes, the numbers and statistics will not be much higher if it is not included, because the Lightning Network is still under utilized... but with countries like El Salvador using it as a legal tender and payment method.. it should be included.  Wink
3280  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Institutional investors changing the Bitcoin price behaviour? on: January 27, 2022, 05:43:14 AM
Will Bitcoin still be a Safe haven when institutional money takes over the majority of the ownership of bitcoins and these people start to manipulate it in the same way that they are manipulating other markets?

Let's discuss.

This is what is feared, but many hope that bitcoin always finds new investors. to me this is like a dilemma, on the one hand we need institutional investors to make the market grow rapidly. on the other hand they have the possibility to manipulate the market.

I am not just talking about market manipulation by institutional investors now, but rather their erratic trading behavior. We are used to Bitcoin Whales with nerves of Steel and some of them are now being replaced by Institutional investors with trigger happy sell fingers.

So, what we will see now... will be a close correlation with what is happening on the global Stock markets and not a "commodity" that goes against the mainstream movement of the global markets.  Sad

We have always said.... Bitcoin price volatility will decline, if we can distribute bitcoins to more people and if we can avoid an increase in whales... but Institutional investors are now becoming the new Bitcoin whales.
