3261  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Thoughts on BlockTrail's wallet? on: December 28, 2015, 06:08:04 PM
I'm thinking of switching to blocktrail's online wallet instead of using blockchain.info
Yes, I know online wallets are unsecure but I will not be keeping a lot of funds on it.
I'm wondering if any of you have used it before, and how your experience went.

I have never used it but I guess it's ok. If you are going to use it for spare change amounts of Bitcoin it doesn't really matter. I've had a small amount of BTC for 1+ year in bockchain.info just to test it, like 10 dollars, and they are still there.
3262  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ۩ FastDice Signature Campaign ۩ ✦Earn up to 0.06 Weekly✦ on: December 28, 2015, 01:22:41 AM
Correct post count, voucher received on time, withdraw transaction completed. Another nice week in this campaing, and next week I will be an Hero so its celebration time Smiley
3263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any update on Open Bazaar ? on: December 27, 2015, 01:27:49 AM
there is still no windows support yet, i doubt it will take off without that, at this point it will be before the halving, i'm fairly sure

I think I saw some demo of the gui running in what appeared to be Windows 10. The GUI looks pretty neat and clean, it looks like the steam profile thing, you set it up with a picture and you are buying/selling. Still tho, I saw some comments saying how it was "too complicated." That's pretty silly since it looked really easy.
3264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Work colleagues laugh at me getting into Bitcoin on: December 27, 2015, 01:15:29 AM
These guys don't deserve to pioneers. It's best to ignore them while you work hard on your Bitcoin portfolio secretly, so when we hit 10K in the next 2 years you tell them that you own Bitcoin and they'll hate you but you will feel like a good.
3265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Roger Ver lost his fuckin' mind? on: December 25, 2015, 08:25:11 PM
Roger Ver is an idiot. He got rich for owning bitcoin early, doing absolutely nothing to earn his wealth. He only gets attention for being rich, and has never benefited the community positively. All he does is to earn more money and earn himself a reputation. He deserves the ridicule.

are you serious? he is one of the biggest bitcoin advocates in the space, he spends thousands of dollars for advertising bitcoin, he travels around the world to speak about bitcoin ("bitcoin jesus"), he donated a ton of money, he funds small companies, he runs full nodes...just to name a few things you know?  Roll Eyes

I agree. The easy thing would have been actually the contrary, just retire and enjoy a life of being rich and anonymous, but he decided to invest in the ecosystem as well as becoming an advocate giving speeches. I have no idea about this or if he is a scammer since I wasn't there back then tho, but from what I've seen he seems like a cool guy, but again I only know him from seeing him on bitcoin related videos.
3266  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is as good as it's going to get on: December 25, 2015, 08:18:21 PM
I wouldn't waste time with such trolls, I think it's always the same guy creating new accounts, but sometimes to switch it up and be less obvious he keeps posting with the same one. Nonetheless, he's always FUDing hard in the speculation section, without any success, as seen in the price increase.
3267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Illuminati End Game Started --- effects on BTC on: December 25, 2015, 08:15:25 PM
To be completely honest with you, I think David Icke is either insane, or a big conman that with his personality has managed to gather a cult of following that buy on everything he says (kinda like Stephan Molyneux but without the reptilian stuff).
3268  Economy / Speculation / Re: 500$ This Dec ! on: December 25, 2015, 07:25:58 PM
Never say never. but in this case, it's a no go for me.
The market is silent for weeks now so it means it's settling down and we have to see for some new price action this new year.

Still time... 10 dollars x 5 days = 50 dollars of increase, in the Bitcoin world this is nothing. I say let's wait and see what happens, but everything it's possible. Im not doing anything on x-mas eve so I guess I'll be around looking at bitcoinwisdom and monitoring the price just in case :p
3269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: new /r/bitcointoday on: December 25, 2015, 06:42:21 PM
Ive noticed /r/bitcoin has lost a lot of sunscibers form the active censoring. Its gotten a bit out of hand by taking away the voting system. Hopefully it gets sorted out or a lot more people will stop usin it, and in the end it only hurts bitcoin.
I actually like the voting system being unknown, because you focus on the message and you don't get influenced by the amount of likes or dislikes the comment has.
3270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Gmaxwell stop working on Bitcoin? on: December 25, 2015, 06:40:17 PM
Many of us appreciate the contributions of gmaxwell, and this is a good occasion to say we appreciate the work he's done.

I've followed the recent controversy to some degree and certainly noticed many unfair personal attacks directed at the core developers in general, and gmaxwell in particular. That's just in people's nature, I suppose.

My hope is that gmaxwell takes a well-earned "retirement" from Bitcoin development, and that after a nice rest a very intelligent and productive pseudonymous individual starts contributing. Those of us who are fans will smile and not ask too many questions.

I like this idea. One way or another we need guys like this. I cant wait for confidential transactions so I can freely move any quantities of money without other people knowing, even tho im pretty broke I just never got why people should be able to see it on the blockchain, for recieving donations is also required, so I also say thanks and hope the good work is continued.
3271  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: December 25, 2015, 06:37:10 PM
In the future there will be people that still want someone to take care of their own wealth so I see services like Xapo playing a huge role as Bitcoin gets more and more mainstream.
3272  Economy / Speculation / Re: 500$ This Dec ! on: December 23, 2015, 11:01:02 PM
i doubt that we can achieve this goal now as the price is only at 440 dollars

Only? geez, I remember when people was saying "it's only 220". We have doubled the money in no time, we are only 60 dollars away from the 500 in December goal, it's perfectly doable, Bitcoin can go up in 40 dollars in matter of minutes.
3273  Economy / Speculation / Re: satoshi's logic is not so logic on: December 23, 2015, 10:59:39 PM
Scaling/increasing block size debates would solve this issue.

In case you missed it. This issue will not be solved any time soon. If ever...
Wrong, isue is already solved with segwit + lightning network, Bitcoin is already a success, now we just need to sit down and let the developers keep doing a good job and be positive about it, in case you don't know how to code and present actual improvements, it's all we can do. So hold and enjoy, Bitcoin will not be stopped and will scale, it's a matter of time.

Also notice that satoshi's quote doesn't describe mainstream usage, transaction volume could be high without mainstream usage.
3274  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is as good as it's going to get on: December 23, 2015, 10:53:45 PM
After the 2 year bear market, after the meteoric rocket rises, we've entered the stage of mediocre growth. As evidenced by the recent developments since October 2015, you can see that btc price goes up gradually, like 10% over a month's time. After these mediocre growth, profiteers come in and drive the price down a bit. The cycle goes on.

If you bought $1000 bitcoins, I pity you, we will never see $1000 coins ever in our life time.

Folks, this is the way it's going to look from now on. No more moon rockets, and no more steep crashes. Enjoy and have a nice day!!!

You must be really clueless to say that. Quoting for future reference. Im pretty sure when we crush the latest ATH and go way higher than 1000 you will decide to not log in away with that account to face the fact that you were wrong, as all the guys that have done similar predictions in the past did.
3275  Economy / Gambling / Re: What does provably fair exactly mean? on: December 23, 2015, 10:45:33 PM
Thanks for replies, I now understand better the important difference between house edge and provably fair. It seems all of the casinos offer provably fair, probably its pointless for a casino owner to not offer this as granted. I want to ask: What are the best house edge rates (more chances to win) out there? how can I know the house edge of a site for example bitcoinvideocasino?
3276  Economy / Collectibles / What's the current price for the 1000 BTC Casacius coin? on: December 23, 2015, 10:41:20 PM
I saw some threads with auctions and the prices were pretty insane even for the 1 BTC ones, because of the extra exotic rarity of being physical coins as in collectibles. I would like to know what would people be willing to pay for a 1000 BTC coin. Of course this is just because im curious, I don't even have 2 figures in my wallet.
3277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoin success the most in banned countries ? on: December 23, 2015, 10:35:48 PM
Putin has been saying that he would put people involved in cryptocurriencies in jail:

http://cointelegraph.com/news/115472/russias-minfin-wants-to-jail-bitcoin-users-for-4-years

Of course it's not working since the russian users are only growing ass seen in exchange volume.
3278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn a lot of free bitcoins fast? on: December 23, 2015, 10:34:28 PM
Just get a job. Sig campaign doesn't pay enough, it's only a small extra which can be great given you alread got a stable salary so you can hold all of what you make and slowly create a Bitcoin portfolio.
3279  Economy / Gambling / What does provably fair exactly mean? on: December 22, 2015, 07:41:11 PM
Let's say a casino offers < 49.5 chances to win, in other words, you have 49.5% possibility to win and the house has 50.5%, how is this called, would this qualify has provably fair, or provably fair means you extrictly need to have better odds than the house? but if this was the case how would this be profitable for the casino owners?

Maybe it means 50/50? (same odds for casino owner to win than for the player)?

Please explain this to me as im just a casual gambler and im not familiar with such terms yet.
3280  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Does libsecp256k1 get included within 0.12? on: December 22, 2015, 07:34:41 PM
It should be. I think it was merged in a little over a month ago.

Thanks, so we only need to wait for the release now then.. unfortunately it seems we will not have it as x-mas present, it may get delayed as far as February but don't quote me on this one, this is what some people seem to know.
