But are ALL your (email) passwords secure.

Hackers look for and will eventually find a chink in the armor (no offense!)

3262  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 07, 2012, 01:24:28 PM

We have quickly added database locking to every single transaction that involves money. Database locking ensures and strictly requires concurrent processes to process data entries exclusively.

You were running Bitcoinica on ISAM!!??
3263  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Open source MtGOX PHP API Class on: June 07, 2012, 01:10:46 PM
You need to install facacbc6.0 on your server

https://github.com/dooglus/intersango/tree/aud/cert

It is called in the curl option:

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CAINFO, ABSPATH . "/cert/facacbc6.0");
3264  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Open source MtGOX PHP API Class on: June 07, 2012, 03:37:07 AM
<?PHP

include "mtgox_api.php";

$inst = new MtGox_API();

echo '<pre>' . print_r($inst->get_funds(),true) . '</pre>';

?>

Also you need to edit the first function in mtgox_api.php

function __construct($key, $secret)
    {
        $this->key = MTGOX_KEY;
        $this->secret = MTGOX_SECRET;
    }

so the vars match mtgox_config.php

Now that they are getting rid of unions, I expect that pensions and social security will be eliminated.

Won't be long.

Best Buy Max single gift card Limit is $500.  Do they limit the number of cards you can buy in a day?
3274  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: My BTC for MoneyPak - Get these from Walmart, Walgreens, CVS/pharmacy, etc. on: June 02, 2012, 05:15:49 PM
A money pack costs $4.95USD to buy. So for looking at 50BTC you've already got $15 USD in fees

PSY: I take that back.  I guess the point I was trying to make it that you are Hammering people for even considering some of the trades/loans where as  Tomatocage give an explanation (unfortunately after the fact).

And gweedo if it really was a scam I'm going to send you 1 BTC for being a nice guy and contributing to our education.

Now we've all learned.

3280  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 4 BTC Loan for 2 Days on: June 02, 2012, 04:00:39 PM
Here's the formula he used:

1. Look up reputable users on http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratings.php
2. Cross-check to see if the username is already taken on Bitcointalk
3. No? Good! Make a new username for reputable member from bitcoin-otc.
4. Make a few posts to get out of Newbie status
5. Make a beeline to Lending

So fucking obvious, I'm just sorry you didn't notice the red flags.

Thanks for this Tomatocage.

Obvious to you but not to those of us still tying to figure this all out.

Very helpful.
