3261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crashed below $48K, is the bull market in danger? on: February 23, 2021, 06:21:03 PM
I think this is a normal scenario. We weren't going to go to $100k in a straight line (kind of). Fundamentals are there. In general, demand surpasses supply. If these days prices go down it is because some big whales are selling big chunks, like it happened with the previous retreat, that F2pool had been selling big amounts.
At this time, we can say that this was a normal fluctuation but let see how it changes in the coming days, lets wait for 3-5days.

Weak hands and late buyers may have the worries this time, I know they are thinking negative as they saw the declining trend. And what I worried about if they dump their Bitcoin, it for sure will affect the trend of getting worse if many will do the sell-off as well.

we all have seen this happened in the past its normal, other times are worse. the dumps are where these institutions should just buy BTC if they really want to invest good for their investors punishing the whales who dumped at the same time. or could they be the ones who are also selling?  27000BTC is too much for a single whale so weakhands must have been along with them.
3262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / UNI airdrop to EOS accounts on: February 22, 2021, 06:22:26 PM
anyone also got one?

though not 400UNI, i'm grateful to receive one to my EOS account. i'm surprised there is a project like https://bloks.io/account/uniswap.ai which they consider EOS. i guess this is also the start of EOS bull market too but this time, transaction fees will not be a problem. Newdex craze happened last night as well.

NOTE: People are seeing this as SCAM by the way. DO NOT CLAIM.
3263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: February 22, 2021, 06:08:21 PM

we all dream of that big jackpot but having to deposit money to a casino while you have been joining a signature campaign could end to a double loss. you lose the week's job and then the personal money that is supposed to be for table food. considering it beer money is better actually but since we are here to gamble at least to entertain, just roll the dice with the BTC you earn.

3264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Elon Musk looking to buy more Bitcoin ? on: February 22, 2021, 05:34:39 PM
now is a good time for him to buy. he always wants to push the price up so it's time for him to do it again. there is nothing left but good news that will make people buy BTC or his tweet announcing his purchase of another bag of BTC. it could be a nosedive if there isn't something eccentric like him. him tweeting can already manipulate the market.
3265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ongoing Price Correction on: February 22, 2021, 04:40:36 PM
a big dump always starts with a small dump and then we consider it a correction when we're still in denial. and then when it becomes a big dump already that's when the panic sets in for another bigger dump. if you feel the same, just do it. take your profit before it's too late. an abrupt recovery after this will really be a big loss, however. I'm really going to be mad about myself for selling while it's just taking a dip.
3266  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: February 22, 2021, 04:26:21 PM

the existence of BTC looks as if planned because it was revealed right after the economic crash in 2008. from then on satoshi must have seen the future that it will keep going until BTC will save the people from the crash that will keep on going over and over. printing is inevitable though, when businesses shut down, there are just a few options to make the economy running but printing more of the USD.
3267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logan Paul moving to Puerto Rico, fight back on? on: February 21, 2021, 04:46:23 PM
He has his Mavericks business, right? Maybe that is about that and also that includes his future fights and his YouTube Channel. Some say that they won't be continuing with the fight saying that it is not getting a lot of interested viewers and not getting enough money for maybe, Mayweather to be interested in this match.

Mayweather's been so active with exhibition matches lately, with Logan and 50 cent, I guess none of these will even happen.

exactly for Logan, there will be no fights. it's more of his promotion to his channel, marketing gimmick like Justin. he knows Mayweather is a touchy bitch. that is why he is incapable to do exhibition matches, the moment he has the chance to box you right to your face he will do it we've seen him do it in some of his fights. even if they say it's an exhibition fight, he will not allow any loss to stain his record.

for Logan Paul, moving to Puerto Rico can help him at least reduce his tax fees. its no problem, he has the money he can do whatever he wants.
3268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Broner vs Santiago Feb 20 on: February 21, 2021, 11:25:08 AM
Broner looks very different now, he isn't very cocky and sounds a very respectful kid already despite the win. did he hire a PR?  Grin

seriously his jab is fast and one cross that almost made Santiago kneel is a big plus for him. it's not the most impressive win but Broner really is trying to make himself look good and making people see his humble side. good for him. he continues to do that he'll last long in his boxing career.
3269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you love Cardano? on: February 21, 2021, 11:10:34 AM

i like Cardano since i happen to buy some because i saw it's the cheapest coin on top in early 2020. somehow its trading volume is too big to ignore so i read about it and the ouroboros. its quite new so it's a reason to try it out. Sadly i thought of it as just a short term investment that i just bought too few of it. i was about to decide to buy more when the price dip to $0.89 before it spike o $1.11 but i was hoping for $0.75. now its my loss.
3270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and the real world. 💸 The Movement! on: February 20, 2021, 04:54:24 PM

the biggest power of crypto is that its decentralized. even when countries are trying to ban, they still can stop people from buying cryptocurrency. and then there are institutions coming to buy bitcoin as a hedge for the dwindling value of USD. the more they are buying, the more merchant/companies are also considering accepting Bitcoin.
3271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice games on: February 20, 2021, 04:13:50 PM
Yes because I don't think there is certainty for anything. Luck does play a major role in gambling and we need it along with a strategy that works well for us.
If we have a strategy which works frequently well then it is a contribution to our win. If the strategy is not right then we tend to lose more.
So in my perspective we need both strategy and luck to get the results in our favor.

Yeah, but people tend not to care about that. They think that it is enough if they only have a strategy without thinking about their luck. When they lose, they think that the strategy is not working, so they decide to change the strategy until they found one strategy that works well for them. But unfortunately, the strategy will not work perfectly if they don't have luck. A strategy and luck will work perfectly for you, and having both strategy and luck will give you the winning. A wise gambler will know about that and never force themselves to play longer if the strategy is not working.

I fully agree with you. That is why we shouldn't change our strategy only because we lost once or twice. In my opinion to fully test a strategy we need more approaches and try over a longer period. Luck plays definitely a big role in gambling that is why need to fully test our strategies before switching again. If we lose it might be because we were unlucky a few rounds. But we should also keep an eye on our winnings. It might be the case that we are just running hot and not only because of our strategy.

same strategy i use every time. its the luck still that will manage you to profit. when TRX was just a cent, i just prefer 20480 TRX enough to experience 10 losing streaks on the first try. martingale sometimes fails and sometimes gives good rewards. 20TRX for the first bet and then 40TRX and then 80TRX...

if i experience loss at first, i wait for another user's bet to appear on the list of all bets before rolling again. i don't know why I'm doing it but it feels like it resets my luck. but not really sometimes i win sometimes not.
3272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Polkadot Good For Future? on: February 20, 2021, 03:51:16 PM
the price is $40 you still can afford it so yes its a good token. you'll never know the much it could be in the next few weeks. maybe $50 or more. it's a top token on the list of coinmarketcap. Defi projects are the ones that are making money with this bull market, it's the next best token among the defis. if you feel like it's too late, there are other defi like UNI.

I think Polkadot will be a good competitor for Ethereum. Some projects are starting to choose Polkadot over ethereum due to ethereum's high fee which is not good for microtransactions. I am starting to buy and hodl Polkadot as it shows a lot of long-term potentials. I guess this way ethereum will have to keep up with other platforms since there are a lot of coins out there that could replace it anytime soon because of their usecases.
ethereum has weakness in high gas costs, so, many investors think it is better to use other alternatives such as polkadot. however, when viewed from the marketcap, polkadot are still far from being compared to ethereum. to become equal competitor with ethereum, it seems polkadot will take a long time

it's true that it's just too new to compete ETH at same level but there are already projects using DOT.
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take team's cohesion into account when betting? on: February 20, 2021, 02:54:57 PM

must be a tough job to teach football without knowing it.

but it applies not just to football but also to the most popular sports like basketball. the game has to be played with the team not just by a single player or two when in fact the coach will give the best first five that will coordinate with each other to win the 1st quarter. a team that is not coordinating with each other will not sync and will likely not follow a game plan. if one is injured, he'd be replaced with another best player for the team.

3274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No year of altcoins coming. All the big money is pouring into bitcoin. on: February 20, 2021, 02:12:51 PM
With the stratospheric rise of Bitcoin the altcoins should move big time as well.
But they do not and will not move, as all the institutional money is pouring into bitcoin.
We won't see a "year of the altcoins" for a very long time, at least not before bitcoin has reached one million.

What do you mean? haven't you seen the meteoric rise of Ethereum as well? Or ADA? Or Polkadot? or even BNB? Time has change, even if bitcoin's dominance reaches $60% or higher, still altcoin market can be in the bull run as well. And then we have the whole defi as well, billions of dollars are being lock for staking. So I guess you need to look and investigate further before you claim that we will not see a year of the altcoins.

it meant one thing they want you to sell your altcoins. there are some besides ETH, a handful of them will make you rich still. i have been holding more than a lot of these altcoins for years and i saw them pumped before BTC hit $40k. there are more defi projects that just rise more than 10x, we didn't even heard of them but they were listed on CMC and can only be bought at uniswap which you will need more than $100 for a fee.

3275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bezos dethrones Musk, what with Dogecoin on: February 19, 2021, 03:50:29 PM

it must be disappointing for elon musk to see articles like this that only the money that matters for these people while he already waves his flag of success for car technology and space exploration. and then there jeff bezos who only monetize products of someone else that are for sale. if you analyze it this jeff bezos is just a leech taking an extra percentage of every sale.

as for doge, it's still going the be there with a price. not sure if elon musk is serious about it but if he is then ain't that something that we crypto users has to support?
3276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling Weekly on: February 19, 2021, 03:37:09 PM
Hi everyone,

Gambling through sportsbooks and casinos seems like a great use case for Bitcoin (and other cryptos) at the moment.

It allows people from countries with strict gambling laws to play with no worry of punishments. It also allows successful gamblers to play without account restrictions placed on them - as they would get at fiat sportsbooks - and a whole host of other benefits.

As this sector is growing fast, I thought I'd write a weekly update about the developments in the crypto sportsbook/casino world.

Feel free to check it out and let me know your thought (there are a couple bets to follow in there too, if that's your thing) - https://bitedge.com/blog/crypto-betting-weekly-19-feb-2021/

Do you guys think gambling could be one of the main catalysts for Bitcoin becoming more widely adopted?

Thanks!

for new people in crypto, the first impression of Bitcoin is just a coin for gambling. it's true that bitcoin and other altcoins had grown huge because of the casino that accepts them. there are however restrictions to all these. not all users can just gamble freely. in fact there are many bitcoin casinos today that require KYC and there are countries that are restricted too.

3277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how do they know? on: February 19, 2021, 03:14:43 PM
they are only speculating that bears will come in. of course traders will dump as they profit and well they can consider them bears but this bull market has just begun. there are only a few people who are participating in Initial DEX offering (IDO) yet which i think will make the market rise. it may dip temporarily for a week or two and then burst once again. There few institutions that had come yet.
3278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sponsor Money from Casino, Is bad or Good? on: February 19, 2021, 02:57:31 PM
It will actually both beneficial for both sides. It's a part of business and promoters and streamers really deserve to be paid or sponsored because they're promoting or advertising a certain site. As for me, it's also important that they'll receive sponsor money so they will be able to test the site as well. It's a marketing strategy but an opportunity for streamers as well.
As long as there is no law broken with it when some streamer promotes a certain casino just by playing with their sponsored money. It depends on the streamer actually how they will going to advertise/promotes a casino using their talent as long as they were good at it. It would be shame to see such streamers that doesn't know what he/she was doing.

I don't even know a single streamers who promotes a casino even if this is just a sponsored money. Both will gain a benefit for promotion plus people will get to know a certain casino that's being promoted. Everyone can do their own way of how they would make their marketing strategy but streamer are on the mainstream already so it's the best to promote for now.

its the same thing as we are here in bitcointalk. we're not streamers but the traffic in this forum is so huge that casinos are considering buying advertising spots in the forum. and also signature campaign. two important aspects were considered, the traffic comes from gamblers and at the same time, they are bitcoin users.

for a streamer to be considered by a casino advertiser, he must have a huge fan base that will help the casino promotion.

3279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you get mad when the price of your cryptos go higher after you have sold on: February 19, 2021, 02:39:34 PM
I consider myself particularly unlucky in how my trade decisions had yield.
Thought things are not going great and sold my bitcoins for 18K+, it was a 50% price profit anyways but had no coins when the price ultimately rose. Similar thing happened with BNB, sold it for $64 for a x2 profit but the price is around $300 now. Similarly sold my KCS holding for $0.8 on a loss and now the price is getting near $3. I am bad luck.

you're not the only one who experienced that stagnant KCS whose price was stuck at $0.83 for weeks and then i tried to dump mine for wasting time. all of a sudden it feels like the traders are just waiting for my dumps to be filled before pumping it. when they say buy the dip, it should solemnly be followed but hold it for a long time until you reach the profitable trade.
3280  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best crypto casino right now according to the community on: February 18, 2021, 04:49:00 PM

are there still gamblers going to review sites to actually read which of the casino is more reliable? Most of us will probably just look at the casino website and see how big they are and then decide to join. if you see a big celebrity as their ambassador like Israel Adesanya, wouldn't you think the casino is a lot trusted and reputable?  Cheesy

idk if the result will really represent the truth because everyone will support the casino that pays for their signature campaign.
