3261  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we witness year end bullrun or bull trap? on: November 18, 2021, 02:07:21 AM
It'd probably be at the start of the new year imo. I'd reckon there'd be quite the hype at the end of the year, though it shouldn't last that long since we'd probably consolidate at that level for a few months, or heck even the entirety of next year even. I don't think it's possible to even go below $50k at this point since we have a pretty solid foundation as of right now, though the price that we could achieve by the end of the year falling back to where we are right now isn't that odd, it'd probably be like this for a few months after reaching that new ath tbh.
3262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 17, 2021, 08:39:23 AM
Since there are some talks about Dota 2 roster updates, another addition is here. Welcome to the SEA region, Fly and Talon Esports gang!

https://www.talon.gg/blogs/news/talon-enters-dota-2

The team is going to be composed of:

1. Gabbi
2. Mikoto
3. Kpii
4. Hyde
5. Fly
Oh wow, I did not expect Fly to leave EG. I have high hopes for this team though, afaik most of them almost had the chance to enter TI? If what my memory says is correct anyway. The team looks pretty solid imo, but we still have to see what they can show though. Hype for what SEA esports could bring about with this new roster, and whether Fly would actually now have a chance of getting the Aegis. Looks like EG also tweeted them officially dropping Fly in their twitter.
3263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 17, 2021, 05:08:19 AM
Most of the "real" gamblers that I've ever met were honestly a wreck and not somebody who I'd ever like to emulate. Often they seem to have lost their way and end up mixing this addiction with other things like drug/alcohol abuse, which is a very dangerous mix. Unless you're doing it for fun and very sporadically, anyone with intelligence can see after a while that you're mathematically never going to make any sort of long term return on your money. The people who are clever with it take the time to understand the odds, how they are generated (whether poker pot odds or simply accepting random number generation via provably fair) and are still happy to go ahead.
Facts. No matter the amount of "positive" attitudes you develop in gambling, in the end, the context is it's still for gambling and nothing else. Honestly, never let gambling exceed what it's supposed to make you feel, or what its purpose is, which is enjoyment. Honestly, I'd rather develop hate for doing my job rather than develop a sense of "never giving up" attitude in gambling. They make me both lose money, but hey, at the very least, I don't lose everything in working, but in gambling? There's certainly a chance.
3264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best odds while playing Dice on: November 17, 2021, 01:26:01 AM
I think my best luck was making my bankroll go to 2x in that certain session I had? I just left the dice game tbh, put some odds, and then set it to hm, I don't really remember but I left it there to just keep playing for a certain bit and went ahead to play other stuff. Went back and lo and behold, my bankroll was doubled while on the other hand, I was simply expecting myself to actually lose everything lmao. Been trying it so far but other than breaking even or profiting a bit, nothing of positive sort has really happened (Granted that I've almost stopped playing dice most of the time).
3265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nebraska, Gambling might be too expensive for casinos on: November 16, 2021, 10:26:49 AM
It shouldn't be that bad I think, but upfront payment? That's kinda odd. Maybe pay half then split the rest in a monthly payment for a year instead? It'd probably be easier for the casino since in the price in general IS higher than other casinos after all. Though ig if it was an old-time casino I'd reckon it wouldn't be hard for the casino to bear the costs upfront, but hey, it'd still be helpful for developing the casino itself instead of spending it for the license at the start no?
3266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need advice regarding buying on: November 16, 2021, 07:14:19 AM
If you're planning on hodling, just keep buying! No price is too high when you're doing DCA and hodling it. Stop looking at what it is right now, but rather what it could be, that's the core of what hodling is. You don't look at it right now, you leave it, wait, then pick it up when it's at the top. If you're scared of investing just because it reached $59k then you might as well do shorting instead of hodling really. Sure you might want to adjust your buy ins at dips but then again, looking at it in the long term, most of what we see right now would be dips compared to its future price.
3267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How trustworthy are coinbase and kraken? on: November 16, 2021, 05:15:08 AM
Pretty sure they're trusted. I guess the reviews are because of the huge amount of users that they have, I'd reckon you can give them time to review your account and you'd be fine and dandy. Though afaik Kraken is on the better side of things compared to coinbase? I've heard my fair share of the complaints about coinbase and they're far more than what Kraken has afaik. You can also try Binance if it's available in your country, it's what I use personally and have had no complaints so far.
3268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does someone use trading bots? on: November 16, 2021, 02:28:02 AM
Pretty sure some people do, they pretty much use it to make their lives easier and to automate the monotonous parts of trading but as others have said, it's still much useful for you yourself to do the trading to react to unexpected changes with more effectiveness and swiftness compared to a bot. Bots are only useful when doing something very repetitive, something that you won't really need to actually supervise on, so really, it isn't recommended at times since the crypto market is a very volatile one. Changes by the minute are always expected to happen.
3269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 15, 2021, 12:24:04 PM
Should we even consider consistency as a positive attitude when it comes to gambling? Yeap, I'd agree on consistency, at its core is something pretty good, it makes us keep trying and trying again because we refuse to accept the results, but considering the context, I don't think it should be counted. Though I guess if we could put that attitude to something else, even if it was together with gambling, then I'd reckon it's a pretty worth it trade? Though ig the same could be said for the others, the idea is pretty good but with context, I'd reckon it isn't really nice? I mean if you consider replacing the context of gambling with idk, murder maybe? It'd look pretty obvious how bad it is.
3270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you know if current prices are corrected or going to correct? on: November 15, 2021, 05:45:19 AM
I don't think traders actually know? They just assume, predict, foresee it. It's not a guarantee but they have tons of information to back up their speculations together with their various experiences with the market, which pretty much reveals their personal judgment on how the market would move. Emphasis on the person though, since no judgment could actually be judged if it's true or not before the said event has come to pass. A prediction is just that, a prediction, it has no stamp of guarantee that it would actually happen.
3271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AMC Theatres Debuts Bitcoin Payments on: November 14, 2021, 01:07:32 PM
the question that will always remain will be:

will people buy bitcoin and then use it as a payment method or just buy to make hodl and earn profits, in case it is the second option (in my opinion Is the second option) who will take bitcoin to spend if you can take Fiat and spend and keep doing hodl and get big profits?
Well, I think it's based on the state of things with how crypto is? Right now I'd bet 99% would not use crypto as payment and would instead use it as an asset to invest in, to hodl as you say, and earn profits. It's no brainer really, I'd reckon it'd still take decades for people to actually acknowledge it (at least, most people) as a currency to be used rather than to be stored. Even looking at the current state of adoption really, you can't say much about it being used as currency.

Also, is OP's link dead or something? I keep getting linked to googleapis for some reason. Copying the link though I was able to open it by removing the front part, ending it just right before the cointelegraph part.
3272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Football Fan tokens and gambling on: November 14, 2021, 11:50:13 AM
I highly doubt it would be a mainstream coin to be used in gambling, it would only probably become a local currency for the fanclub of that certain team to be used by their fans. E.g. fans would receive x amount of tokens for whatever stuff they did, it'd probably be an automated system where fans are automatically given tokens based on what they do for the team, and the tokens can then be used to buy stuff such as jerseys, signatures, etc, that were developed with the theme being the team they support. Gambling is a big no no in there since the token has a specific purpose or can only be used for specific purposes.
3273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Call of duty tournament on: November 14, 2021, 01:23:45 AM
Thank you all for your replies and suggestions, I’m apologize for not being clear, this is a practice tournament only, The actual tournament is going to have entry fee and the prize is determined by the number of participants. I’m hosting the tournament locally, I was just trying to find players to help with the practice so I can make sure I know what I’m doing when it’s time for the real tournament. I’m the real tournament all my players will be in discord, we will vote on the game to be played. Then every will be assigned a position by random number. Then everyone will pay their entry fee, then the tournament will begin. Once finished winning player gets their winnings and the next one can start. I would like to allow spectators during the tournament but that can interfere with the fairness, but that’s what the practice is for.
Might be better to drop a discord link for anyone who wants to participate? Just so that you can have a solid list of players who want to actually join. Honestly ask for the fee way before the tourney begins, it's honestly a pain to wait for other players to pay when you could've done it way earlier. Just make a list of sorts and set a schedule so that you can see who's available or not. And yes, don't allow spectators, that'd be pretty damn stupid imo.

One thing that has been extremely disappointing to me about the crypto market is how long it's taking to get things like NFTs into games and allow betting with cryptocurrencies.  It's such an obvious next level partnership that will change the world, yet instead of Call of Duty allowing for betting with Bitcoin, the best we have is clunky metaverses with roblox style gaming.  I'm happy to see any progress, but the big boys of development really need to step in and take the reigns.  The best developers in the world still think Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are a fad, but I do feel like that is starting to change this cycle.
True, most games right now are still focused on solely developing well, game stuff, and not stuff that they can integrate into the real world while playing the game. I'm honestly waiting which big game (or company) would adopt it first since I'm really hyped as to how it's going to change the scene and probably the economy of the game itself (if it has one).
3274  Economy / Economics / Re: Mindset game for the skilled and unskilled. on: November 13, 2021, 03:01:51 PM
The one that is skilled but is asking to be given what he needs basically dies imo, while the latter lives. Money makes the world go round imo, and even without skills as long as the latter knows how to make money, then why can't he ultimately live out the rest? Yes, skills could give you the avenue to actually earn money, but without planning it out properly and just learning, money would go past your hands. The world is a competitive place and if you're learning, then there's probably tens, hundreds or thousands of others doing the same. It isn't enough just to learn, you have to learn how to use what you learned effectively.
3275  Economy / Economics / Re: Credit cards | A scam or a tool? on: November 13, 2021, 01:31:27 PM
Uhm, it's not a scam, fraud, or anything like that? It's simply a service that they offer you so that you're able to invest in something that could idk, depends really on what it is for. I mean I'd reckon the only justifiable reason to use a credit card is to invest something you don't have to make your work easier, e.g. a laptop, monthly fees for applications, etc. Credit cards ain't rocket science, you just need to manage it with the proper mindset. Credit cards are a thing for a reason, it's completely legal and very user friendly if, IF, used properly imo.
3276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling fraud and it settlements on: November 13, 2021, 12:34:57 PM
erm I don't think it's possible? If the casinos was officially licensed then it may be possible to appeal to whoever hosts the license, but if it wasn't, or rather the site was made to look like it was licensed but wasn't really one, then you've been completely fooled. I'm pretty sure it would be close to impossible to find the people behind the scam since it's online, if it was offline then there may be a chance but online? Close to zero imo. Unless they somehow left tracks that could lead to them. You can also ask a lawyer if you think you're chances are pretty good in finding the one at fault.
3277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 13, 2021, 01:46:29 AM
He's the only one that hasn't state his retirement. Sockshka has bid his farewell to the team as assistant coach. On liquipedia, there's still Topson and Ceb because there's still no formal announcement of their retirement. So I think, they'll have it soon one by one.
AFAIK, n0tail has said before that as long as he can still play, he'll play. On Chinese Dota, Elephant's roster has already official got out of the team but I think they'll still form a new team which will still compose of the same roster.
Hmm, n0tail might have a hard time finding, or at least, adjusting to a new team. His OG team could be said to be one of a kind after all. Ceb might just go continue into coaching or heck, even a caster, like please, we need more casters who know actual stuff in the game, and Ceb, when he was still an analyst, was one of the times I listened to them explaining the game very much. Topson though might not go for retirement straight away and instead opt for a break, maybe a year or two. We can probably then discover what he would go for after that.
3278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata December 29 on: November 12, 2021, 04:46:14 PM
I wanna cheer for Murata but GGG seems like he still has something left in his tank that can take Murata on. Not that I'm talking bad about Murata, he still has a lot of fight in him but comparing him with GGG, the latter has a higher chance of feating him imo. Still, if GGG flunks this, he basically lost all rights for a rematch with Murata. I worry though since his age might catch up even before the rematch happens and we might miss it because of that. Guess this match will say whatever is left of GGG.
3279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Entain to Get Gambling License in the Netherlands on: November 12, 2021, 01:17:24 PM
From what I have read it looks like they are operating a live casino and do not have a gambling website.
Also, it does not accept crypto as of yet so that will be challenging. Whether or not they accept crypto in future they will still receive a good response from the gamblers.
But if they plan on to create a gambling website too then that would be more beneficial for them and the gamblers as well.
Well, it isn't odd, an online casino would still need a license from the higher-ups even if it was fully online, so I guess this could also work as one as long as they add it in the contract that they signed (that, or it's a sub license of sorts I guess?). Plus a crypto casino is still something out of the way ig since it's a casino under a country. Allowing it to operate as a crypto casino could be seen as them accepting crypto, but that would also require them to accommodate regulations for crypto in general, and not only in casinos, so it isn't that odd.
3280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Insight into German's loosened restrictions (hopefully) on: November 12, 2021, 08:51:29 AM
Well, it's something that I've always favored and said, the government should instead regulate instead of removing or banning an industry, whatever that industry may be. It's much better in terms of handling what's happening in that certain industry with regards to the laws that surround it as well as being able to see what exactly is happening inside it. Unlike completely removing it, wherein that case, they'd simply be completely blind whenever illegal company props that up, they'd basically have no idea what to do. Putting something where you can see and guard it is much better than removing it out of your sight, no matter how unpleasant.
