3261  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Beware of PayPal and other reversible transfer services on: November 23, 2016, 10:09:16 PM
Money sent through PayPal and any other money transfer service that accepts credit cards can be easily reversed by the sender, even after several weeks. Therefore, you should only accept PayPal in trades with people you trust very highly.

This is why newbies are not likely to sell their PayPal USD for bitcoins successfully.

Some other services that are not totally safe:
- Bank transfers (ACH, etc.) except wire transfers
- Most gift cards.
- Moneypak
- AlertPay
- Paysafecards
- Dwolla
- Western Union (they reportedly will sue the recipient to recover money in some cases)
OP, Money gram is not not included in your some other services that are not totally safe list. Does that mean Money gram is ok cos I want to sell some few coin thru localbitcoin and I want to receive the money using Western Union or Money Gram.

You might exchange your reversible payment for another like LR here: http://exchangezone.com/
Is the site safe and trustworth cos some exchanger site end up as a scam site.

KMD Price

We know what the exchange rate is after the ICO is over. It depends on how much capital we raise in the ICO.

Timeline

After ICO we can calculate the exchange rate, and it will help everyone to make the choice between BTC and KMD payout.

Two days after the ICO end, the final sheet of eligibility will be ready. From that sheet you can check that your information is correct, and the payment amount is correct.

Then we will start collecting the preferred payment method info, and BTC/KMD addresses. More info will come at that day. Collecting the payment info of 250 participants will take some time.

We will send out the payments (also BTC) about the same time we distribute the KMD to investors. That will happen ~2 weeks after the ICO.

--> Review your info 2 days after ICO
--> Submit your payment method
--> Expect to get your payment ~2 weeks after the ICO

This signature campaign ends on Sunday 3PM UTC (at the same time the ICO ends).

Thanks everyone, enjoy the last day of our campaign!

P.S. Don't send BTC addresses in PM, wait for the instructions, there will be a special account that handles the process.
Thanks OP for this lovely information and I really love your level of maturity. However, I would like to know if it ok if I remove Komodo signature code/avatar after the end of the ICO. Since, it was once said on the OP page that the campaign will last until the 20th of November.
3267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: November 18, 2016, 09:53:34 PM
Yes definitely. Bitcoin is a revolutionary technology which is helping 1000s of financially poor guys like me. As bitcoin is providing me financial support upto 80% of my monthly expense comes from bitcoin only and test i get from dad and begin a 20 years old guy i feel ashamed to take money dad because it's time to give dad money but in the mean time i am asking money from dad. So bitcoin plays vital role in my life and I hope that poor guys could definitely take benefit from bitcoin.
Yes I agree with you, of course, Bitcoin can help poor people like me. I am a bitcoin users today. and I benefited greatly from the bitcoin. My life and my family is so mired in financial problems. when a friend gave information about bitcoin, my life is getting excited to dig revenue of bitcoin. so as to help the poor people who are curious about bitcoin knowledge. I think there should be action to change that fate.
Good job, most of us are here to make money because bitcoin is an investment and there's a lot of business that are using bitcoin. In addition, if you are just hard working enough you can do a lot of jobs here aside from trading and investing.

its true and i don't really care about the bank. all i care is how can i make withdraw and how can i make donate for other people with my money from bitcoin.

if there is any charity institute that focussing to help poor country and they support payment for bitcoin, i think there is many people which have bitcoin that will donate their bitcoin to help poor country so the problem can be solve by a little help from bitcoin community.
I agree with you said mate and achieve that we also need people from the government to come in just like the netflix. I guess with Trump we can achieve since he appoints Bitcoin Investor Peter Thiel to Presidential Transition Team and we also need some genuine good exchangers with all this bitcoin can help the poor countries
3268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 18, 2016, 07:15:43 PM

3273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: November 16, 2016, 02:30:48 AM
People here have claimed that Bitcoin is in fact controlled and ruled by China, as mining is centralized by Chinese mining institutions.

Do you think that China is controlling/ruling bitcoin yes or no?
China has a big population when we are talking in population but in user i don't think that many people are using bitcoin in there country and yes we can say that china is really rich when it comes in gold and others needs and they have minings but i don't think so that china really controlling bitcoin and they have fully controlled of the price.
Yes, China is a high population country. Mind you they also love technology there both young and adult. In addition to, we all love to make money, so tell me what will stop a young man/lady from making money thru bitcoin when all what he/she need is within him/her reach?

UPDATE: I no longer sell Bitcoins for PayPal. PayPal freezes and reverses transactions on their own whim, it doesn't even have to be the fault of anyone who is using it.

If you choose to use PayPal, I still offer the option to cash out your Bitcoins to your PayPal account.

UPDATE 6/5/2011 - I no longer offer ANY PayPal services. The difficulty caused by dealing with them is not worth any potential business that may be generated from their services.

UPDATE - 6/5/2011 - We are no longer accepting MoneyPak refill cards as payment for Bitcoin. The GreenDot corporation is just as bad as PayPal. We will still cash you out to a GreenDot or MoneyPak, if you want.

UPDATE - 3/23/2012 - We were on vacation but are back in business. If you have a pending transaction contact us via PM or e-mail immediately. We also have new low exchange rates!

Smiley That's not possible  cos there is a chance of freedom in the world of bitcoin which mean the owner of wallet control his/her bitcoin and if I said China control bitcoin it simply because they put a lot of effort mining bitcoin which is the source of each sato which literally become what we call bitcoin.

i think you dont understand what 51% of hashpower means in a network...
the whole concept of decentralization falls apart(and i'm not even talking about the risks).

things are changing, china is trying to reduce bitcoin use there.. could be the end of this "china controlling bitcoin".
I guess I did misunderstood what you meant but currently as we speak it seems like you do believe China control bitcoin. What are the risk involve if China reduce bitcoin use there cos since they have the huge mining farm normal individual are unable to mine profitable and it could a chance normal individual

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Looks like we're about halfway back from yesterday's little dip... $704 on Bitcoinaverage.

All that huffing and puffing about the USA election and we're right back where we were.
Morning buddy, I guess so and checking the price now it $705 at the moment Smiley
3280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is CHINA CONTROLLING Bitcoin? on: November 13, 2016, 06:33:27 PM
Hey, the words of controlling bitcoin are you mean might due bitcoin in china most dominated by a rich man? they on there having skill and knowledge for reduce expensive technology use.  And we could see example of this in make MNCs
so, they are on there create a much bitcoin machine like bitcoin miner in cheaper price. then they sell their product. so do not be surprised if they dominate bitcoin. Instead let us also make that possible
Though, I don't really understand your first sentence but I understand what you said in the second sentence. I want you to know that you're absolutely right and you get the point why China literally control bitcoin.
They may dominate the bitcoin market and the mining, but they do not control bitcoin.  To be able to control it, they would have to be able to make a decision that would make or break bitcoin, which is not the case.  All the do is dominate the market, which anyone can do, it does not mean they control it.  If they do control it, tell them to do a chargeback on my last transaction.
