3261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how can i safe from scamer members.. on: February 05, 2017, 10:34:56 AM
Usually, dont do trading with newbies.

See Trust rating of that person. If it shows negative in red mark, just avoid that person.

Better have an escrow before trading. It is safe.

I think we don't need to scare people with negative trust. When I have just join this site on April of 2016 I get negative trust from my campaign because of I stayed a comment in some section that they don't support and don't pay for.
It is disheartening to know that, it require threading gently on this forum. I made a suggestion that for every negative tag there should be witness or should be seconded before being attached.Imagine a legendary being tagged for spamming. It destroy the long year of holding the account
3262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: USA Bitcoin ATMs being destroyed. By gangs or by competitors? on: February 05, 2017, 10:26:54 AM
It was an order by trump because the pieces of the ATMs were made in China this they are banned. Hahahaha either that or it was just some punks trying to hack them then got mad and vandalized them when they couldn't. The cops probably won't do anything. Why would they? Bitcoins are only used by criminals after all.
That might be true, just to show the opposition to China they could have done that. But what the News describes is that a protester supporting bitcoin to be the currency started protesting and in a short more than 150 people joined hands and which shortly got end with violence.
we cant be too sure Trump is destroying it, this does not support the news that trump causes the rise in price of bitcoin. Though more has been going to bitcoin lately from America, at least someone in power would have leaked the idea of atm destruction as trade war
3263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Pair to trade with Bitcoin? BTC-USDT or BTC to Altcoins? on: February 05, 2017, 06:22:00 AM
Trading to USD is like keeping the value of my bitcoin but to other altcoins is like investing. some of the altcoin react to bitcoin price increase inversely. Converting to USD is the safest risk when the price of bitcoin is high
3264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price drops as PBOC continues inspections on: February 05, 2017, 06:09:45 AM
This dumps doesn't look like gonna last, price is already recovering and may touch $900 soon. The one who will dump on this type of fud are just noobs, there is good buy support right now.
I don't consider this a dump. Just that the volume of trade decreased due to interference by the govt, so decrease the price. Bitcoin always applies to the demand and supply. Dump occurs as a result of massive sell out due to scare at a ridiculous lower price
3265  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: February 05, 2017, 06:05:03 AM
my best investment strategy with Bitcoin is to store Bitcoin in a secret place. Remember storing Bitcoin is also and investment which can give you a much higher return then any other conventional investment. So instead of wasting your Bitcoin for mobile recharge or grocery billing you better store it.

I have tried p2p lending as well but most of the time people used to scam. So I am currently active in Bitcoin trading and storing which I believe will take my life style to a different level in future.
I don't quite agree that it is considered wasting your bitcoin if you use it as a currency, because that is what it is primarily created for. What I do is allot a portiin of my bitcoins for holding and a portion also for spending. If everyone just holds their bitcoins andcthere is nothing leftcin circulation, it would defeat the purpose of its creation.
I agree with the idea of spending it as often. The more it is spent the more exchange volume resulting in price increase. If everyone store the bitcoin like they preach, will there be increase in price and value. Everyday exchange of the currency will increase users and publicize it. You can store some portion spend some too
3266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to know about next pump? on: February 05, 2017, 05:48:22 AM
Usually it can be predict by graph trend or community discussion !

But still , altcoin market consider as risky investment means that it have unpredictable value compare with bitcoin ( for example : altcoin will be not experience halving, IMO )

Exactly, sometimes it's easier to find the coin pump from the graph of constant purchase orders and extreme positive sentiments of the community. Altcoin investment is something like a gamble and it might result in extraordinary profits or 100% capital loss so one should invest up to his loss-bearing capacity.
It's possible to have a decent return in altcoin trading but the risk shall commensurate, if you are willing to take bigger risks, this game is for you. It's a game because most of the altcoins has not legitimate future plan, they are here to be played and give money to smart people while dump people loses due to lack of education.
As regard the risk in altcoin most especially in new projects. there might a pump and a dump after the project get its ICO which might be the highest price u will see in long while. So after some dump, if the project managers are not good enough you may need to be careful to acquire such coins
3267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: USA Bitcoin ATMs being destroyed. By gangs or by competitors? on: February 05, 2017, 01:39:23 AM
Without more background information on each particular case of Bitcoin-ATMs being destroyed it's hard or impossible to say who is behind this. At the end of the day it could just be frustrated or people with severe mental issues who destroy said ATMs. It could also be attempts to steal money. Whatever it is, it sure is a sad phenomenon. Bitcoin ATMs should be treasured and cared for by the public.
I think the machine should be strategically in town where security can be provided. and owners of the machine should inform the security agent except the government is against the use of bitcoin in the community. more so alert should be created in the media to encourage users to use more in the day.
3268  Other / Meta / Re: Which browser should I use to browse bitcointalk? on: February 04, 2017, 07:31:35 PM
Hello, Good Evening mates. I am new here. Though I have created an account here 1year ago but unfortunately that account got blocked. I used opera mini that time. I don't have computer right now so I have to browse this site through my smartphone. Now I am using a app called chrome dev. If I use opera mini than I may get block again. Suggest me mobile apps that support bitcointalk. Thanks in advance. Have a blessing day.
You can use anything you want to, I almost use my smartphone also because I'm not on my laptop always, and I use UC browser, chrome and my default smartphone browser and all of then work properly. And in PC mode I used chrome and firefox and it works. I just don't get why you had been blocked using with opera, maybe you're using vpn that time and the ip address you're using has an evil points that is described here
The website doesnt select any browser. it can only be blocked for spamming or suspect of double account on the same IP. Avoid the use of your phone or laptop by anyone who has an account with bitcointalk

3271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best anonymous transactions for a cryptocurrency? on: February 03, 2017, 11:51:37 AM
Am also not adding to the list but suggesting that monero is the heart ache of anonymity of FBI in the recent time. And if FBI can voice out, I think is taking the lead in anonymity.
3272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ChronoBank vs. Qtum, which you choose? on: February 02, 2017, 11:03:31 AM
Now I know why comparison can be interesting. The differing stage of the projects make it hard for me to put them to contest. Qtum just came out of no where massive and erupting. I know everyone want to work with them and we are just waiting for a better understanding of the project.
3273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017: Now it happens on: February 02, 2017, 10:46:32 AM
2017 is the year of altcoins...

bitcoin will loose it's marketshare due to lack of innovation and real world usage adoption

30mins for confirmation? come on...

Funny post, not even a single alt is doing well aside form the random pump and dump, and not a single one is used to purchase stuff like bitcoin

bitcoin is the only currency actually used for what it is, there is no innovation needed on top of what bitcoin offer already(btw anonimity is a feature not an innovation if you compare it to monero..., bitcoin is already innovative enough

Indeed, I cannot see any altcoin that will surpass Bitcoin this year 2017.  Security wise, I think Bitcoin security had been tested unlike several altcoins.  When it comes to marketshare and innovation plus the real world usage, I doubt  Altcoin can be compared to Bitcoin when it comes to adoption and transactions.
The adoption of bitcoin will increase this year and so many factors will influence it. The beginning of the year was china's influence now USA took the volume in the past days. The more the demand the more supply the higher the price and bitcoin does much of the trades. How many people know about other altcoin? the diversity and the acceptability. Higher percentage of the ICO will still demand bitcoin and movement bitcoin will continue.

3275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VirtualCoin (VC) Signature/twitter Campaign Bounty [ONLY FEW HOURS LEFT] on: February 02, 2017, 09:27:54 AM
Why this new thread? The previous activities had not being paid now you opening new one. When do up plan to pay?
3276  Economy / Economics / Re: On what way would you know that your investing on the right business? on: February 02, 2017, 05:02:56 AM
Trading bitcoin does not get you this active, it keeps you watching the coinmarketcap but if you try some altcoin it gets you engaged and you gain more experience in trading a short while. it also opens u up to information on innovation in cryptocurrency.
3277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] CoinMarketCap Needs to get their shit together ? on: February 01, 2017, 08:18:30 PM
I wanted to paste the link of a thread where CMC purposes and processes were discussed but towards the end of the thread you could see some lobby of projects owners to just appear on their website. This is where I might get confused on what the website stand for again
3278  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: please I need your help to recover my wallet, I forgot my second password on: February 01, 2017, 10:29:04 AM
I am not sure it can be recovered. What is the fate of such lost coin? Such a kind of address if it cant be accessed after some years, the coin should be sent back to an active blockchain by the wallet management, probably at cheaper auction or raffle. IMO
3279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin is not that easy on: February 01, 2017, 09:48:45 AM
Introducing Bitcoin had been easier than before.  There are lots of written documents and presentation that tells about it.  Even case studies on Bitcoin.  So i do not think that introducing it is that difficult.  What difficult is, making people understand what bitcoin is, persuading them to use it instead of the traditional payment processor. It is the interest of people that is hard to get in my opinion, but still this case depends on how well you have played your aces here.

In depth knowledge should not be targeted for on a newbie introduction. There is some footage on Youtube that is presentable, and flipping through some several websites like Bitfinex et. all. should transport the picture of "something big incoming"

For the curious some Question & Answers section following days afterwards makes sense to me. Learning curve, timespans and all of that.
I think it will still be very difficult to introduce bitcoin. In developing countries and are unfamiliar with the system would be very difficult to make people believe with bitcoin, because they already have a real doctrine that bitcoin has many risks. I've also tried to introduce a bitcoin to some of my friends in the community, but they know bitcoin for drug transactions and a lot of scam so it is not safe, although there are some who are interested but most claimed are not interested. I think most people need to see proof that they believe in, and it was very difficult. But I'm sure as time goes bitcoin will be able to take sympathy of many people.
It took a friend more than 8 months to convince me to adopt bitcoin. First, It doesn't make sense to me, like what is internet  money? I barely hear it on the TV or radio. Secondly, my challenge was where can I get this so called bitcoin. Then i was introduced to bitcointalk, my first week was the complain of spamming  and terrible bully harassing me on the forum. I got little education from my friend, but he thought I was intelligent enough to get along with the forum. He thought I can make a better use of the 24g data plan I make every month. At the end of my first  4 months, I was already trading with up to 1 bitcoin without bringing any money to the forum. Now i dont need anyone to advise me to put more money into bitcoin
What is my main idea about the story? You may never get it easier to introduce people to bitcoin, but if you really want to help someone keep introducing them, to make it easier introduce to the smart ones. More also introduce bitcointalk, bitcointalk makes the education on bitcoin easier
3280  Other / Meta / Re: part of BCTalk on: January 31, 2017, 10:39:28 PM
Being a mod id a thankless task. Whatever you do , someone will object and try to trash you.
Don't they get paid for doing it? I thought a percentage of forum income is used to pay the mods. I see no reason somebody would want to become a mod for free, it's a time-consuming job.

Lol somebody is crazy about your mom, she must be hot.
really time consuming. If u are the type that barely read the topics here and want to get involve just because of the pay. Grin. u are joking. I also notice how vast they are in block technology and other latest ICT info.
