3281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the safest coin to stake? on: February 26, 2022, 05:38:11 AM
It certainly will be ETH whenever ETH 2.0 is available. However, even at the time being we are seeing some places like Binance start allowing people to stake in a pool together with the current system. Doesn't mean that it should be done in a different way or should be done badly, it is definitely not a great system currently but it is not zero neither, it is at least something.

Requires you to lock it for a long time and doesn't earn you much, so it is not preferred at the time being. Which leaves things like BNB at bay, that is a lot better and you could stake it in a million different places and you could earn a lot of money from them as well, certainly a good option.

The BTC price is back to 38.5, it was almost 40k recently. I am really surprised and I did not expect that it will grow so quickly, just a few hours after the dip - so the most probably my bet for 32.5-35-37.5 ranges were wrong, still few days to see.
The most popular bet for February (37.5-40) stopped at odds 2.86 - quite high, so it could be a good gain.
We should not be worried about the price all that much when we are talking about the future of the price, but when it is such a close time until the month ends and you have wagered on the price of it by the end of the month then it becomes a bigger importance Cheesy. I mean it will be 100k+ one day, I "hope" that (it is quite obvious if we do not give a date, could you argue it won't be in 10 years?) but at the same time that doesn't change the fact that I would be losing this month.

I wagered 45k+ for this month and I know that it won't happen this quickly. It is nice that it is recovering right now, the war thing reacted a lot worse and now people are realizing the war will not be a valid reason for crypto to go down and it is going back up.
3283  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: February 25, 2022, 03:24:46 PM
Good and bad a project must have an assessment indicator.  If people don't do that assessment before investing especially in NFT which is a new investment product regardless of the art side then that's the stupidest thing anyone will do.  It's like putting money into an open space, and tending to lose that money.  Honestly from our logic, if Rollbot doesn't have the potential to bring you a lot of profit, I'm sure this project will be quiet like other NFTs on the market.
What type of assessment indicators you are referring to? There are some things which we can look out ourselves to judge from our instict that whether the project will be surviving or not in the long run. There are so many projects at this time in the NFT space like coins but you need to decide which is better one.
The biggest thing about an NFT is the utility and how much it is used. It is not about how much it is bought and sold, there are tons of NFT collections that are bought and sold with absolutely zero utility and that would never be really something that you should be able to buy and hold every single NFT that has no utility, because it would be a big margin and from zero dollars to millions of dollars that is a big market and who knows which one you are going to buy.

However, the utility makes it a bit more tangible, we are talking about something that is like "if people are using their NFT's for something daily multiple times in millions, even billions then it is a great thing" is something you can see in data and makes sense to buy.
3284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was tempted to sell off altcoin on: February 25, 2022, 06:40:27 AM
It may not be wise to sell off now. You could've done it 2 or 3 months ago but now with this bear market, all you could do is keep it or save yourself from losing more if you feel like there is no future for it. Because there is really no telling where all of this would go.
IMHO, the higher chance of bouncing back up is higher than falling all the way. This is how Bitcoin runs and history is the proof of it. It goes up at a surprising level then it corrects at where it should really be after a hype. At the end of the day, it's still your decision.
Unfortunately there are still some people who think that the war could cause it to go down even more. I mean the part where the war could continue for weeks is true, I am not expecting it to be over right away, there will be a lot of people who will end up with something a lot less at the end of this war and they could be worried.

Do not consider the whole market selling because they are afraid of what the war could bring, there are also a lot of people who needs the money as well and that is the biggest problem. Think about that in the long run and all the people who will keep needing money will sell. All the people who works with Russia or Ukraine could be getting less money and need to sell their coins.
3285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Proper risk management? on: February 24, 2022, 06:44:04 PM
The best strategy to handle your risk is to never go all in at anything at all. It is really risky to do it and unfortunately there are too many people who end up investing into something that is a lot of risks involved and I do not know why they are doing it.

I mean it is something fine, it is not really that bad but at the same time it is not really that much of a great situation if you could just divide it into multiple things. Sure you will not make a ton of money, but you could at least make a bit of money with it. That is why I am trying to do my best with it right now, it is just a lot better at the current stage to not just go all in and risk it. This will make you earn less, but lose less as well.

I think SWIFT is one of very few tools which may cause really lot of troubles for Russia.
Western politics live in very comfortable environment... Army was waiting next to border, it was known that it costs a lot (also resources) so in few days they must go back or... enter Ukraine. Winter is not finished yet and the Europe needs Russian gas.
Going back to freebitco - I wonder if they reschedule Champions League final game or at least change stadium.
I would guess that the crypto drop right now is too reactionary. I get that the war is not good for the economy and will impact the world a lot even for the nations that doesn't feel even remotely close to the war, but it would still be a global deal and that is why the price of crypto is low right now as well. I would avoid all the betting and all that for now if I were you (on the price prediction, go ahead with others of course).

The reality is that we are in a situation where it is not really that much of an obvious deal, at the end of the day we are talking about unexpected (well not really) things going on and people reacted badly. I feel like people will eventually realize this should not change the price all that much and the price will get back to 40k+ for sure.
3287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metaverse Cryptocurrencies on: February 24, 2022, 02:03:42 PM
I cannot believe that people fall in love with all these buzzwords. I mean if a project is good then it is good and doesn't need any of these buzzwords to be great. Like Sandbox was a new idea and it was good and people liked it because of it and I understand that, but right now I am seeing "metaverse project" everywhere, lets stop right there because metaverse is a vast thing and doing it properly would require A LOT of stuff to be done and would require millions upon millions of dollars to do it properly.

If you are not doing it that way and you are trying to build a project anything under a few million dollars then it will not be a proper version. It is just sad that people are making these kind of things a reality and imagine that it will work out very well.

If you see a project that says they are metaverse, ask yourself if they would be good in any other way as well, as in if the team could have built anything and still be good, or are they taking advantage of the metaverse buzzword.
Unfortunately that has been the case with crypto for a long time. People are investing based on hypes and then they get upset about the fact that they end up losing money on these things. I mean there are tons of people who say "how come people make so much money and I am always too late" and then invest into things like floki or whatever.

I do not understand why people are getting a lot of hate for being long term stock investor warren buffet type of crypto investor, that is literally the best method. The best thing about the current situation is that I can just buy the top 5 and just hold for 10 years and make a profit, whereas these people who invest into these buzzwords will end up usually losing a ton of money.
3288  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 23, 2022, 10:04:34 PM
I sort of understand the disconnection between an art contest and an account with negative trust. Art is art and if you have a good art that you published then what type of person you are shouldn't dictate on how good your art is. I mean after all Art is connected to the artist a bit but not the exact thing.

Assume you saw the most beautiful painting you have ever seen but it is by some person who committed crime all their life, would that make the art bad? It just makes the artist bad. I am not saying that one or the other version of this is better, but I could totally understand the logic of a negative account getting art win because those two things seem a bit unrelated.
3289  Economy / Economics / Re: The Problem with Mainstream Banks and a New Alternative | Fluid on: February 23, 2022, 09:04:21 PM
Putting crypto into banks will happen one day or another. It is not really a shocking idea and I bet that it will not take too long before it happens as well. Even if you consider all of these exchanges to merge with banks eventually, that will not be that weird. Consider Binance one day getting merged with HSBC or Citi, or JP Morgan or whatever.

Do you really think that it is impossible? I mean it is clear to me that it could happen at all moment and I believe that as soon as legalities start, these banks will start to swallow smaller ones to grow their makretcap. Like maybe Binance won't be gone, but Coinbase could be, and kraken could be, and then they will go from there to slowly getting Binance eventually. That would allow them to actually grow to a huge size. Or maybe Binance will get the next top 10 and grow to a trillion dollar valuation, who knows?

I have disabled tickets too. Sometimes I get some from WOF, but it is not a serious amount (on the other had, we see that any amount may be enough).
I think Lottery is the only part of Freebitco.in which does not require you to do any action. The rest is based on bets, where you make decision, or Multiply. For lottery - you just buy or receive tickets - and you may forget abut the rest. But if you prefer to do a conscious decisions, you may prefer to disable lottery and make better use of RP.
On the other hand, if you want to play big with betting etc, free rolls are just an pleasant add-on, because does not have a serious impact on your bankroll.
I just can't get myself to disable it. Because at the end of the day even one ticket could win and I know that and you know that and we all have seen that. Which means that there is a case to be made for any amount of ticket to be winning something big.

It means that every single week I am involved with a huge win possibility. Not that I have ever won anything, never been in the top 10 ever for the past 5 years and even with that in mind I still try to get it going on. That is not a great method I know but there is that tiiiiiny chance that I could end up with hundreds or even thousands of dollars and that is why I just can't get myself to stop it.
3291  Economy / Speculation / Re: The long term way is down on: February 23, 2022, 01:52:24 AM
currently we are in a bearish trend, it’s only normal if the market always looks grim or you could say that majority of the market movements will just be full of market correction.
if you widen your horizon over your chart analyzation you could see that we are still quite far higher than the valuation in the past even if we has experienced so many market correction and currently the market has lost quite significant amount of market capitalization.
once the trend has finally changing its direction you could see the same joyful market movement that brings nothing else but more and more bullish run, it’s all just the trend and it’s also the perfect moment for accumulating if you’re conscious of the current market trend.
You can compare the dump that happens right now with another dump that already occured in 2020. it has almost the same candle. It was going up but go down again but this may become the end of dump.
People keep forgetting that we were under 30k, even under 10k, just as recent as 2 years ago. Just because we had a great year from 2020 to 2021 doesn't mean that we were always like this. Up until summer of 2020 we were at around 10k, and now we are at around 3-4 times higher than that on a "bear" trend.

I am not saying that we are not lower right now but being lower doesn2t always mean something that is terrible for everyone. Focus on being as good as you can, get as much bitcoin as you can, and then keep on waiting. Bitcoin always ends up higher in the long term and this is a proof of that. 35K+ levels being a "bear trend" is something amazing all within itself.
3292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear vs Bull : The Beauty Of Cryptocurrency on: February 22, 2022, 03:50:01 PM
Yep, when the market is bearish, your dollars are able to get you more Bitcoin, and it’s an opportunity that you should always try to seize. After a bull run and the price of bitcoin hitting a new ATH price, I would usually sell my coins and take profit and wait for the correction to take or for the market to become bearish and then I would start planning how to start buying more Bitcoins and HODL for another long term till there is an increase in the market again.

That has been the norms for me and I make sure that I never miss it, because if you miss out on buying when the market is bearish and low in price, the only time you would be buying would be when the market is pumping and the worst thing that would happen to you is buying when the market has already gotten to its peak and starts to plummet.

3294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Remarkable thing about Bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 05:36:14 PM
It is nothing new. Everyone already knows about that, the purpose of bitcoin and what it aims to achieve. I believe that Bitcoin has already achieved what it is meant to achieve, which is being a decentralized system, of transaction. Bitcoin is decentralized and doesn’t need the government or any centralized authority for it to be able to work. So, it’s already a success.

The only thing is now the adoption which keeps on, slowly, growing. But it already has adoption, there are already so many people from around the world who are making use of bitcoin and that number is huge, and is only going to keep increasing in the future.
3295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: February 17, 2022, 06:30:08 PM
How if we already bought at the previous pump? Although there is a pump, the price still cannot meet the target to sell. I have some altcoins on the wallets whose values are far from the buying price. I am still holding although there are some pumps lately because their prices are still very cheap. I don't know how long to hold, but there is no another choice, only hold.
You really have no choice but to hold until you recover. That's the choice that you can make or if you want to cut loss if you're already too deep. You have to accept the fact that you've already made a loss. But as you've said, you're going to hold and there's another option.
And that is to add if you want to.
I would say DCA is a much better method. Consider that as an alternative when you purchase some more from the bottom. I personally rarely ever sell out of a coin, I just end up buying some more and dropping my purchasing price. If it looks like a coin or a token that is a scam then I would just cut my losses and get out, but if it is just a pump that I bought at the peak, then all I could consider doing would be DCA.

This way I could go on without a trouble and make as much profit as I could without a worry in the future when the price goes up. Obviously this requires you to constantly have cash to invest and sometimes that is difficult to do, but it is not impossible neither.
3296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: potential moonshots on: February 17, 2022, 01:21:45 PM
When you say small cryptocurrencies, how small ,Because there is a level of small that I wouldn’t really mess with? Maybe there are some small market cap coins that I would like to invest in, but when the market cap is like really, really small, then I tend to avoid such coins in the market. I don’t even think I’ve ever tried for once to invest in a coin that has a really small market cap, mostly what I usually go for at the big names, like the ones you have mentioned which are ethereum, Bitcoin, SOL, and the rest of them.

But, if I’m to maybe still invest in any small market cap coin, let’s say a coin that is still starting up, then maybe Zano would be a good choice to start with, because it is similar to Stellar. The market cap is still low at this point, but it seems to have the potential of growth in the future, it might be bigger than what it is now, that’s quite possible. Although one problem I do have with small market cap coins is that they can easily be manipulated, and they are more volatile than the top coins in the market.
3297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep calm and buy the dip! Told yah. on: February 17, 2022, 10:15:35 AM
The idea to buy whe nit was low wasn't really a unique idea. The fact that it was low was enough proof that it wasn't really doing all that well, I mean it could have done even better but I do not know why it got stuck here. When it was lower, everyone told each other that it should have been higher and many people bought, hence why it went up.

Remember that whenever it goes down, it is because people sell, and whenever it goes up that is because people end up buying. Since, it is higher than before right now, it means that people ended up buying at those low prices, that is how it managed to get up from those levels and come to over 40k+ prices once again.
3298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade-in between the lines on: February 17, 2022, 09:26:09 AM
Despite the fact that we can't acquire in a flash yet we bring in some good cash by mid-time holding with tolerance. There are other altcoins that are great to hold too however it's demonstrated that assuming you're simply going to hold, pick the best. Exchanging is certainly difficult yet exchanging somewhere within when the likelihood of creating gain is higher than misfortune is protected.
Exchanging is easy as long as that coin you hold is listed in many exchanges, that's not a problem. What difficult is, if you're going to sell at the right time.
Or, if you're going to sell at the price that you desire to sell. Because if you don't sell at the right time, that's where the problem starts and you'll think of it that you should have done this and that.
This is why we have things like stop loss and buy/sell orders. This way you would end up not being online when your order hits but you get away with getting whatever you want. It is not the ideal situation for most people but it is also not horrible as well. This way you get to make as much profit as you want with the system you built, and that will help you make a profit when you are not even around, even while you are sleeping.

Remember, all the wealthy people in the world focus on this, making money while sleeping. If you are making money during your sleep, then you can become rich. Nobody becomes wealthy by just going to work and making money with their labor.
3299  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Broker Led by Uber and E*Trade Alums Is Going Public on: February 16, 2022, 08:34:52 PM
These companies using their stocks to buy other companies to grow always seemed like a hack in the system to me. I mean you are worth 100 million, you give 20 million worth of it to some company that worths maybe more or maybe less, but now your company worths 120 million as well, so your 80% left would still worth 96, and company has a bigger chance to grow without the owner losing too much money. Obviously it could be a worse one, and drop in value but I doubt it.

So, using stocks to buy other companies is legal and even supported but I feel like it is a very tricky system, one company could buy all other companies eventually when they grow too big. Like Amazon could end up buying every single ecommerce website in the world that makes over 1+ million dollars in revenue, and just pay with their stocks, that doesn't really sound good or even safe.
3300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 16, 2022, 06:49:22 PM
All teams have those kind of games. It is not really that shocking for Sixers to lose like this just once, they are 5th in the east right now and they are doing fine, and that was without Harden (and without Simmons too) so it is clear to me that they are only going to get better from this point out. Do not imagine that Sixers lost this game this badly so they will stay this bad for a long time, they are going to be doing just fine in the future for sure, they are not going to end up losing to all teams like this.

It is just one game and it happens even to the best teams and there is nothing to worry about. Celtics could be hopeful thanks to this, but east looks too complicated to say any one team is better than the other.
