Feeling ashamed.  Embarrassed

Am I the only one who didn't see "Quick-moderation" feature till now? A "paper and pencil" small icon above "Report to moderator". It can be used to make a quick edit without going to new page.

you mean Quick-edit, right?
if so then you're not the only one. I was aware of that icon for a long time but I never bothered to check what it does until dogie pointed that out. (dogie never even saw it until a few days ago)

Yeah, cool feature that, hope it's retained on the new forum.
Also it would be nice to have a visible at all times "this post has been edited" icon, if editing has taken place after more posts have been made.
Some people are really irritating with retrospective editing.

all interesting optios...
but maybe you are asking in the wrong place...

try to post here:

3282  Economy / Speculation / Re: why do these 'bears' sit around and talk about bitcoin all day? on: April 09, 2015, 10:24:19 AM
its like if i didn't like oranges and sat around talking in an orange forum all day. i dont get it?
i hope bitcoin crashes to the ground but i wont spam about it.

Why do you "hope bitcoin crashes to the ground", what did BTC do to deserve that?

because it's only a bears market right now, it's boring, the price is just being manipulated over and over again, if it crash hard noob can finally get in again

the problem here his volatility..
volatility is gone...
and with out volatility,
trading it is boring...
sidemarket is a traders interest killer!!

3284  Other / Meta / Re: Do something to prevent the same user bidding an auction maliciously on: April 09, 2015, 10:16:51 AM
And what do you suggest to stop this? Anyone could do this behavior on any type of auctions - ebay etc but there's nothing that can really be done about it nor is it the staff's problem to police.

there is a little difference from bitcointalk and ebay...
if you control 2 accounts on ebay: Ausr who is selling and Busr who is buying...
and B wins the auction.. Ausr need to pay fees, and did not sell the item!!!

so you need to pay attention to do it, if you do not want to lose money

3290  Other / Meta / Re: Would this bot be allowed on the forum? on: April 08, 2015, 07:09:09 PM
Time machine: If anyone finds a way to get bots to do something like above, I could use that to push updates to my guides, PM me.

Shouldn't be too difficult to program, however it's a waste of time seeing as the new forum is coming out.

I agree with you. But maybe it would be possible to implement such a solution in the new forum? Or is it completely new?

The bot would obviously have to be modified to work with the new forum. However, it probably would not be necessary to start from scratch.

but...
we will never see
the new forum...
I've heard for over a year !!!

i'm not sure..
but i think in the new forum software it will be possible...
i mean, maybe, the quick edit functionality will be present...

or you are asking if this functionality it is an hidden functionality in the actual forum?
3293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.2 Automated Transactions on: April 08, 2015, 06:48:41 PM
It is possible to understand what devs are working on???
last release was on 06 February 2015...

many thanks

I understand that you refer to technological work that is being done. I'll will describe a little of what I know, but also point to that development is being done within the two other areas: PR and software

Focusing on the technical side, I'd say it quite obvious that, at least, vbcs spend a lot of time implementing ATs in qora. Read Qora's thread and press releases; we also retweet some of their Twitter activity to show what is going on. The goal is, of course, to do the worlds first ACCT - between qora and BURST. Technically, BURST is ready for ACCTs as I understand it, but no other coin so far is. When AT is implemented in qora history will be made when an ACCT is done between the two blockchains. Where the researchers are in the process, I francly don't know (and if I knew, I probably wouldn't understand it well enough to explain it).

In between PR efforts and pure technological research, we have been put extensive work into writing a proper white-paper for BURST. In my opinion, it has been real bad that we haven't been able to point to a white-paper as other coin's do which present innovation way less than those BURST have. The paper is lengthy and will show the uniqueness and potential with BURST. It is due for release within two weeks (see mczarnek's posts).

On the software side major work is also being pursued to make adoption, plotting and mining of BURST much easier than it ever been before. This is of course a considerable task to complete, but it does move forward.

Besides the technological and software development, we continue our work on translating sites and thinking of ways of promoting BURST in, say, China or Russia. Translations will be presented as the translations are completed and we also are able to do some promotional work within that language area (see my sig).

The PR team will of course present the results of research as they become available. However, here we also have the funding problem described in my sig: To really do a good job with PR, we are in need of money so please donation your change to the improvement. Donation to the technological and software teams are of course also highly welcomed.

I'm sure I've missed some stuff, but that is the major things on what is going on behind the scene atm. Smiley

many thanks fot the anwer mmmaybe!
where i can find some ling about ACCTs?

i read about vbcs DEV....
he is doing great job!!!

hope he continue to help BURST community

When I read hidden feature I though this should be in this thread.

Something like that will be in the new software.

There's a hidden feature in the current forum that allows you to filter "unread posts since last visit" by board:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=unread;boards=6,37,4,1

added in OP!!!
thanks shorena!!!

I think there aren't other hidden features, but maybe I may be wrong. I should "check" this forum in these days, maybe I will find something.

thank you red!!!
I'm waiting for you discoveries

can some trusted and old member from Canada buy me a Sonim XP7 without contract and sell it to me for bitcoins and ship as a gift to Europe?

sorry..
but the "AS GIFT" tip it is over from a long time...

IMAHO.

I don't understand you ? care to explain a bit ? why I can't have a "friend" in Canada to send me a present?

years ago, if you were writing on the package "GIFT",
and for example you buy in USA and receive in EU,
was not required to pay the tax, iva vat etc etc.

but now the tip is over...
