3281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New altcoins questions on: June 13, 2021, 06:37:14 PM
Most likely you are talking about ICO or something similar like this. An altcoin could create by you as well, it's not a big fact. But you have to look if it has real use. A few altcoins gain market recently but that doesn't mean all are good. Many scammers around us and just skip with funds. Since you are a beginner, I will suggest avoiding invest in the worst project. Rather than invest in a few established altcoins which would give you a good return. ICO or pre-sale is a high risky game where you would lose everything.
3282  Economy / Services / Re: Need help with promoting! on: June 12, 2021, 05:55:51 PM
You are looking for genuine crypto users to add on Telegram but on the other hand, you want to hire someone to do that. To be honest it's a conflict with each other. If you hire someone or a promoter, then most likely they will add bots to your group. If you want organic growth of your group then you have to promote some other way. For example, you may publish your articles on top crypto news sites. So interested crypto users would join your group. You can do bounty campaigns, but you will get only hunters on your group those are probably will never invest in your platform. So will suggest organic promotion instead of hiring someone to promote your Telegram group.
3283  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Trust wallet stealing seed phrase. on: June 12, 2021, 05:44:49 PM
When I opened Facebook I found another trust wallet with SHIBA INU giveaway and they have changed again with a new domain and still the trick with the same scheme.
I was about to update it and notice you already did it. Just now I notice when browsing Facebook, scammers advertising it on Facebook again with the same script just changing the domain name. We need to be careful more and make more awareness, so newbies would save their assets. By the way, thanks for sharing it with the community.
3284  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What prevents someone from "giving" themselves more Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2021, 08:36:09 PM
I wouldn't say it's a stupid question, it's a lack of knowledge. In the beginning, this kind of thought would come into mind since you don't know the technology behind Bitcoin and how it works. All the Bitcoin stores in the Blockchain and you can't change the code once it is deployed on the Blockchain. Mean no one able to edit the current Bitcoin Blockchain codes that exist. So it's not possible to multiply Bitcoin on your wallet by changing codes or whatever. Your wallet is just reflecting how much Bitcoin you are holding, this is just an algorithm. I will suggest reading more about Bitcoin how it works.
3285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some millionaires hate Bitcoin? on: June 11, 2021, 05:53:18 PM
I second that said by mk4 in the first reply. My thought is there is a lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency how it works and that's why a few millionaires or Billionaires don't like cryptocurrency and consider as Ponzi. If they know the technology behind cryptocurrency then it shouldn't call as a Ponzi Scheme at all. On the other hand, most millionaires are involved with the centralized organization from where they are making millions, so they don't want to move in a decentralized currency where they can't keep role themselves to manipulate or making money. They know Bitcoin would be a good investment, but they don't have faith in it. Because many people become a millionaire from cryptocurrency, so it's open for all and aware of it. Nothing secret in a decentralized cryptocurrency.
3286  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to get news about crypto as soon as possibile on: June 11, 2021, 03:50:19 PM
For me, I use the Cointelegraph Telegram channel to get crypto-related news updates. Because I think it's a reliable source for crypto news and easily getting notifications through Telegram, although I mute all channels occasionally I check crypto news-related channels. Besides, there are a few signal provider groups that share also crypto news. As I always said I don't believe in any signal groups and I just stay there to stay updated about recent crypto news. I am unaware about any live stream crypto news sites.
3287  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Cryptoinmine.org Fake Couldmining Project on: June 11, 2021, 03:41:03 PM
Cloudmining sounds something look like something scammy itself. There is nothing except a scam. Who has a basic knowledge of how mining works then he shouldn't fall into this scam? Because you should consider how much max you can earn if you mine yourself by mining rigs. So how a could manners site can multiple you funds within a day or month? It's unrealistic and impossible in the real world. It's possible by scammers only in the virtual world since they aren't going to send back your investment. So stay away from greedy cloud mining.
3288  Economy / Reputation / Re: Action against: @AssistentYoshieAndFriends. on: June 10, 2021, 04:35:59 PM
Impersonating nothing new in this forum and I believe most users aware of it. But in this case, you have nothing to do, even the person isn't Impersonating you since he is using a very long user's name which is looking spammy from the beginning. Telegram has become full of scammers and we can't control it. We are responsible only for the telegram username which has been using on the forum. Except this, we can't prevent scammers, everyone should be careful and contact via forum before making any deals with the scammers.

By the way, thanks for sharing it with the community, so we are aware of it although I doubt many users visit this reputation section.

Congrats on your achievement.
3289  Other / Meta / Re: Should some Bitcointalk's rules change now? on: June 09, 2021, 06:24:45 PM
I have raised this question a long time ago as you can see above. But the community doesn't take it positively. So I don't think theymos will change anything right now. There are some valid points as well. First of all this Forum is Bitcointalk not a Usdtalk, so we can't judge donators and VIP title in USD. Forum has enough funds to continue manage this site, most probably that's the reason why admin isn't encouraged to modify that rule. On the other hands, who paid earlier to get these title through Bitcoin, they would regret. Because they made payments in Bitcoin although the price was low. I believe these rules not gonna change.
3290  Economy / Services / Re: Find your stolen bitcoins and refund if possible. on: June 09, 2021, 05:29:24 PM
If you think so, then I wonder how the stolen funds were returned from the Colonial Pipeline ?
Then you are comparing yourself with the FBI? This is an unrealistic thought at all. I know the fund would freeze at some point if it's been organized by a centralized organization like an exchange. But what happens if hackers or scammers succeed to manage privacy and use a decentralized exchange or mixer to cut the link of the transaction? There are many ways how hackers and scammers are saving themselves. Depends on the story what will happen at the end. What we can expect from the FBI I don't think we can expect it from you.
3291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was invited by a group of young students from India to educate them about BTC on: June 09, 2021, 05:03:08 PM
Good Initiative so far. This is how we can keep our role in Bitcoin adaption. It's quite important to know Bitcoin technically how it works and how it should use. Many Bitcoin users really don't know about Bitcoin technology, they just use it blindly. I will suggest besides of technical explanation highlight about use proper wallet and how we should prevent scams. If anyone learns it from the beginning then they would save more Bitcoin users from many issues.

Thanks for sharing it with us, it will motive more users to do so. Best of luck to you.
3292  Economy / Services / Re: Find your stolen bitcoins and refund if possible. on: June 09, 2021, 02:08:32 PM
Whoever willing to service this service, just keep in mind that confirmed blockchain transaction is irreversible technically. So in case, you are scammed somehow then no one can help you to recover that funds. So it doesn't necessary to pay someone to investigate it. If you feel something like that you need then contact legal author in your country in case using crypto is legal there. Rest is financial advice and research, just hire someone in real life to assist you as a financial advisor. I don't think this service is useful by the way.
3293  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stater NFT team decided to run a bounty and this is how it turned out. on: June 09, 2021, 01:55:26 PM
I understand people like you who spend all waking day HERE on BCT just looking for merit to rack up, you LITERALLY have nothing else to do ?
Isn't it something like a personal attack? So far I can't see YOSHIE gave you bad advice. Whatever the intention of this post, but he is asking on topic. Do you mean who has been contributing for the forum they all are just doing for the merits or rank up? I don't think so. Let's visit my profile, I achieved Legendary rank, so there is no more rank to upgrade nor I need merits for any other reason. But still, I think I am contributing to the forum. What else we can do in the forum except contribute ourselves? Do you think everyone on this forum should spam for useless bounty tokens?
3294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The views of developed countries with developing countries on bitcoin on: June 08, 2021, 06:35:52 PM
Different countries different options. A country's development fully depends on the government. Some countries don't want to welcome Bitcoin because they are unaware of Bitcoin technology and the future of Bitcoin as well. They are developing countries, they can't take the real-time decision and actually, that's the reason why they are developing countries instead of developed. On the other hand developed countries know about technology more than developing countries. They are taking advantage of Bitcoin where developing countries are backdated. Developed countries don't want to stay back, and they take the real-time decision. So the view about Bitcoin never would be the same between them.
3295  Economy / Economics / Re: I want to start a crypto project, gimme advice on: June 08, 2021, 06:02:59 PM
To be honest, if you are looking for people for free who will work for you then most likely it isn't gonna happen. Expecting funds for such as project from the forum's investors also a wrong decision. There is a fact of trust you know. So for that, you need real-life investors. For the marketing, you need an initial investment as well. If you don't have enough funds then your dream wouldn't happen true. Even you are wondering to raise funds from your project, also you need an initial investment. Nothing is free in the world. Keep in mind marketing is the key to your success. So you need a huge amount for marketing as well. I will suggest just look for private investors nearby you to whom you can explain your plan.
3296  Other / Meta / Re: How to hide Elon Musk topics? Reqest for userscript on: June 08, 2021, 05:30:16 PM
Still this thread about Elon Musk. We can't or shouldn't prevent it. This is called freedom of speech. Just don't engage with such as discussion if you don't like it. Automatically you will not find any threads after a few days. Different users want to express different opinions, as a result, many threads have been creating. A few months ago there was many discussion about John McAfee, now all are gone. So the same thing will happen with Elon's thread as well. Better to ignore or use some other tools. We shouldn't expect something like hiding thread by words from the forum.
3297  Economy / Scam Accusations / elon-charity.info | Bitcoin doubler scam. on: June 08, 2021, 01:39:49 PM
Website:
Code:
https://elon-charity.info
Archived: https://archive.is/MhbHX
What happened: Bitcoin doubler.

As like before scammer running another domain with the same script. This time they used Elon charity. Promising double return within 10-90 minutes and we know that is a pure scam. Nothing new but the domain wasn't found here by the search button hence I post it here. Just be careful, I receive this mail in my spam folder, which means scammers acquire a huge amount of database.
3298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Musk cares for $TSLA, not Bitcoin on: June 07, 2021, 06:58:01 PM
Come on man! Who is about Bitcoin? If we are honest, then we are all here to make money from Bitcoin. Even we do not care about Bitcoin technology. Then how can we expect Elon will care about Bitcoin? Does it really need to care about Bitcoin by an institution or by a person? Was it the goal of Bitcoin creation? Elon needs to make money, doesn't matter it's from doge or Bitcoin. No doubts if you have a big company like Tesla then you would care about your company. Not for Bitcoin which is backed by the community. We can't say wrong in this case. If you say Elon is manipulating the markets, then I would agree.
3299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Elon going to sell his BTCs? on: June 07, 2021, 06:48:28 PM
My belief he is holding Bitcoin more than Tesla. And most probably he sold his coin and dump it. We don't know or can't trace the address either he is selling or buying. I am assuming he just dump it to accumulate more. Although he has stated that he hadn't sold any Bitcoin which proves that he is holding Bitcoin personally. Also if he is using the exchange to sell or hold then it's quite impossible to trace. A few days back his few doges were frozen by a centralized wallet called Freewallet. Just don't believe him and don't follow him as well.
3300  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A phishing website of blockchain wallet exists in the first result of Google.. on: June 07, 2021, 06:33:14 PM
It's not new. Scammers always target newbies and that's one of the disadvantages of using web wallets. That's why at least we should bookmark the website we are using often. They are showing a address also phishing and redirecting to another domain which is phishing as well. But seems it doesn't matching with the Blockchain wallet.

Anyway thanks for sharing it with the community. Hope others would take a lesson from here.
