It's amazing how few people have ever even heard of bitcoin
It's a nice thing in my opinion, much better than people that have heard of bitcoin in june 2011 cause of the bubble, tried it and discarded it due to it's not readyness.
Now bitcoin infrastructures are much better, so new ppl will find much more things to do and options for their needs
3283  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 6950 memory downclock using Ati Tray Tools on: April 19, 2012, 03:20:01 PM
I've been trying to downclock the memory on my 6950's. I just can not get it below 1250 at all. I have tried multiple software's. I have heard of others flashing bios with lower memory clocks. It wont boot if I change the memory clocks lower. I saw this and have tried downclocking with it. Gpuz says the memory is clocked lower but when I run something, its graphs show it is running at 1250. So really, it did not downclock.

Did you really get it to downclock? I can post screen shots
You have to use msi afterburner (of course with the modify to the conf file about the eula thing "i know what i am doing")

You start it, set memory at like 625mhz wich is the minimum and press apply.

You quit msi afterburner and reopen it. Now you will be able to go down to 310mhz. Set it and press apply.

Why doesn't this work for me?
I have no idea, it works here, msi afterburner is the only thing that allow me to underclock the memory. CGMiner, trixx and others just don't work
3284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smartphones & Bitcoin on: April 19, 2012, 03:12:02 PM
Please specify "android devices"

Since you are speaking about iphone, i expect that the android device is the Galaxy S2 or an equivalent. And sorry but the GS2 is better than the iphone

Sure, there are some 200$ android devices that sucks, it's true, but ehi they are cheap. You can't compare a 600$ iphone with a 200$ android.
3285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smartphones & Bitcoin on: April 19, 2012, 02:01:56 PM
Get a Samsung Galaxy S2
4.27'' AMOLED display, Android 4, Gorilla Glass etcetc... I love to see a iphone with his "retina display" (wich is just a norma lcd display) pale when compared to the GS2 AMOLED

Better phones coming out? Yes, the Galaxy S3 in some months.

3293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GLBSE darknet mirror. on: April 18, 2012, 07:58:58 PM
Aren't tor and freenet or i2p different? Tor anonymize the traffic but in the end you have to host the website (or the backup) on a server while on freenet/i2p you just upload it and it's backuped by the clients joined to it?

Tor and I2P are pretty much the same except for a few small differences.

Freenet is completely different from Tor or I2P, Freenet is a distributed data store.
Oh ok, sorry for my mistakes  Cheesy
