3281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MINING WITH OLD GRAPHIC CARDS on: February 04, 2022, 05:47:16 PM
Hi to all!
As you can see im not a poster in this section but i have a question for all of us if you are kindly to respond.

For my work i have acces to a few old graphics cards like Nvida 610, 430 etc. I know this cards are old and bad but the question is, its any cryptocurency  i can make profit mining with this?

One thing after i say goodbye, for the energy consuption i dont have any problem so discount that of the equation.

If you have a large power limit, then buy a cheap asic for bitcoin or litecoin. Asik will be profitable until it breaks if you have free electricity. Video cards are now very expensive, although the profit is falling.
3282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bad feeling about the mining profit of incoming Intel Arc GPU on: February 04, 2022, 05:42:16 PM
Intel will have a higher percentage of defective chips, so they will lose the fight if they start dumping in the market. It is not yet known whether Intel will use LНR solutions for their video cards. Probably, powerful video cards will appear on the market in the 2nd quarter, but it may be very late. Demand for video cards will fall.
3283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HD7970 and GTX970 on: February 04, 2022, 05:37:34 PM
Hey there,

an update of my previous answer.

RVL/AVN was working great still hot.  I switched the GTX970 to FLUX @ around 20 sol/s. Nothing special here but better than nothing.
Good result FLUX @ around 20 sol/s. You will get about the same result with the RTX 3050.
But the profit is very small, it is better to sell such a video card.

3284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HOWWWW did he manage to raise the hashrate on ethereum by almost 25% on: February 03, 2022, 03:36:25 PM
Tell me, how did this user raise the hashrate of eth mining? Huh Huh

https://youtu.be/RsLqm9O5A2A

he is mining at a speed of 29 Mh/s on 1060 cards!!! I hope they are 6g memory Cheesy

Do not believe the video on YouTube if it is not a reputable and well-known miner. The current hashrate is 24-25 megahash. 25 megahash will require a lot of power consumption, so it is cheaper to set up for 24 megahash. The size of the Dag file, pool is not visible. Maybe this is a very old video and it's not ethereum.
3285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH 2.0 is never coming? on: February 03, 2022, 03:29:38 PM
My guess is that NVIDIA, AMD and other large companies that produce efficient graphics cards have invested a lot of their money in Ethereum. In 2020-2021, they all made huge profits from selling hardware at an insanely high price. Miners are still buying new cards to beef up their GPU farms.

If Ethereum switches from a PoW algorithm to a PoS algorithm, these tech companies will most likely dump all their ETH coins on cryptocurrency exchanges, because they will no longer be able to manipulate the prices of modern graphics cards. In other words, PoS-based Ethereum 2.0 may be cheaper than PoW-based Ethereum 1.0, and perhaps ETH developers understand this.

AMD and Nvidia are public companies. They cannot do this without informing the shareholders.

They can do that indirectly, directly no, anyway, nothing surprises me anymore, the mafia has been controlling the gpu market for quite sometime.
The mafia will soon have big problems, because the demand for video cards after the end of ethereum mining will decrease many times over. Used video cards will fill all the sites selling used PC components. He is now receiving his future profits.

This is a great site with useful information for beginner miners.
https://mining.help/
Write what video cards you have now and how much you want to invest in mining.
What is your electricity cost? How much power can you use for mining?
Then we will give you some tips.
3287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Advice to new crypto miners on: February 03, 2022, 03:17:55 PM
Considering in 6 months ETH will be unmineable and the rest of the coins will remain extremelly unprofitable due to difficulty, you have to be really dumb to start mining at this point.

You will probably not even be able to ROI your equipment in 6 months, and more than likely you will have to sell it at half the price you paid for it if you need the money.

NEW MINERS are the NEW MORONS.....
The biggest profit in mining is obtained in a bear market. The difficulty of many coins will drop a lot after the end of Ethereum mining, because the miners will sell video cards. If the light is inexpensive, then it will be possible to accumulate coins until the next good market.

I disagree, buying coins will always be a better option than mining coins, many topics about it already, while extreme good traders earned 50x or more this time around, extreme good miners have not earned even 5x. But I do understand when you say that, for some people mining will always be better than buying the coins directly, each on its own but the fact remains clear to this day, traders always earn exponentially more money, I guess only scammers earn more money than traders. Those shiba inu dev scammers earned quite good amount of money, and as soon as the bear market hits they will kill that coin and then rinse and repeat next bullrun with another scamcoin, shiba inu was just an example, too many scamcoins this bullrun and nothing different than 2017/2018 or even 2013.
I think most traders end up going bust, that's what famous traders say. And most miners always make a profit, even if you bought video cards at the wrong time, the payback period will increase to 3 years. Therefore, I prefer mining, there are no big profits now, but there is always a stable profit.

Hey

Got a z11 used , it worked fine 2 month but now keep giving me a to hig temp on chip 111 close pic need reboot and stop mining until i reboot , after 2 min it will stop again.
Does it just need to be open op and maby remove dust?
If there is dust, then it is better to clean it, but I doubt that the fans do a poor job. Check the operating frequencies, if the ASIC is overclocked, then restore the factory settings and set up the mining pool again. Try to lower the frequencies, use an interval from 650 to 700.

I also do not understand who then earns an additional 100-150 percent of the profit if video cards are sold at 2-2.5 times more than the recommended price.
Is the graphics card market in China very corrupt?
Or is it a conspiracy of sellers to maintain high demand in the market?
3291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New Nvidia 3050?? on: February 02, 2022, 11:33:09 AM
The 3050ti from laptop has better hash speed than this discrete GPU (3050) I think the super and ti version will be good for mining than this weak 3050, it makes no sense to spend money on such weak card unless one can make good profits out of 15MH each.
People don’t buy laptops for mining for a long time, but in the secondary market you can buy a lot of laptops after mining, and this will not be a very profitable purchase.

Even with an electricity cost of 25 cents, these graphics cards will not mine at a loss. I think that people don't invest in mining if they have expensive electricity. I have always advised to continue mining if there is no need for money.
3293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: USB miner for altcoins - is it possible? on: February 02, 2022, 11:21:15 AM
Understood! That's true! But the prices of ASIC miners are so high, it will break my bank account. I am looking for a cheaper alternative which can be profitable.
The time has ended when video cards paid off in 3-5 months. If you understand video cards and you have cheap electricity, then the best payback video cards are the RX 470/570 and GTX 1060. You can buy them cheaper if you have such an opportunity. New video cards are now very expensive.
3294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on old gpu on: February 02, 2022, 11:15:55 AM
at op try to get a new nvidia 3050
Don't joke like that with newbies because he can do it. Now is not the best time to buy video cards. There are options to purchase video cards in the secondary market, but you need to be a good specialist so as not to be deceived. I wouldn't buy a RX 6500 either.
3295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Searching for fast GPU stock/purchase bot [sorry if wrong board] on: February 02, 2022, 11:08:00 AM
Before I start, I want to say I already tried and dug through search results. All I was getting was trading bots and an old thread to an archived page.

Is streetmerchant still the top tier script to use? Would I be better off just creating and running my own macros script?? Lots to consider (time to code it, potential IP ban, captchas, verify, testing, bugs, etc) What script do those YouTube miners like red panda use to acquire their GPU’s?

I’m trying to get a total of 3 Founders Edition cards, 3070 or 3080, non TI (if I’m not mistaken, the FE TI are LHR??) I can wait buy getting a little impatient lol

Thanks

Sorry if I posted in wrong board, new and don’t know proper board to post this. This board seems to be the most related to my question
Do you currently have a shortage of video cards in stores?
Profit has already decreased by several times and the prices of video cards have not yet fallen. I would recommend keeping an eye on the aftermarket and looking for non-LHR graphics cards. Now there are a lot of good offers and bargaining is not prohibited.
3296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How good is ecash on: February 02, 2022, 11:00:47 AM
How good is ecash coin? I heard this coin used to be the bitcoin ABC that was later Changed to ecash coin, is this a coin I can mine or buy and hold for a long time?
On the official website you can find a lot of information about mining
https://e.cash/media/xec-ecash-mining
Even if this coin is rubbish, but its mining gives a good profit, then I don’t see any problems making money on its mining.

3297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining motherboards under $ 100 on: February 02, 2022, 10:47:07 AM
I have quit using such boards for building new rigs but before in 2016 I bought 4 Biostar Pro BTC 250 Gen 6 Intel and they are still running fine even my newest cards the Rx big navi and RTX 3000 series without problems, running 6 cards out of six,now they cost more but back when I bought them from Ebay their price was 90 USD plus 12 USD shipping to my country.

If I intend to start a new mining rig I don't do without this motherboard anymore with 6 x x16 Pciex slots, riserless motherboard from AsRock, link below,it cost 200-300 EUR depending where you find it but for 100 EUR more means 0 trouble running your rig compared to running it with risers. In local stores you can find it less than 200 EUR in Europe if you search enough so a really good option.

https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/H510%20Pro%20BTC+/index.la.asp

I didn't have much trouble with raisers. For such a motherboard, you need to buy an additionally closed case, because video cards will have problems with cooling.
When a video card brings in 3-5 dollars a day, you can overpay 300 - 400 dollars for a farm, but when the profit is 3 times less, it is very expensive.
3298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What should I do now on: January 30, 2022, 12:24:30 PM
I bought 3 3060s month ago now I think this might be my biggest mistake as a newbie, maybe I should just sell my graphic cards and wait for another green market before embarking on this journey again or what should I do?

Entering without making accurate calculations will cost you the loss of your entire capital and selling it without thinking of a plan means that you intend to lose that money without returning.

If you prepare a smart plan, you may reduce losses as much as possible, or at least make some profit, but this applies to the following:

 - Electricity cost: What is the cost of electricity in your country and how much can you get?
 - More RTX 3060s: For mining to be profitable, you want about 7, so can you get more or join some friends?
 - Can you sell it at a reasonable price: Selling cost of used parts will be much cheaper than brand-new ones.
 - Mining experience: If you do not have any experience, it is best to sell it.

Finally, mining with these cards varies according to the cost of electricity, but it may give a return between $300 to $700 for seven cards.
How much mining experience do you need to manage 3 video cards? You need a minimum of knowledge and experience to make a mini mining farm according to a ready-made guide on the Internet. RTX 3060 are cold video cards and they work stably in mining. If the amount of investment is not critical for the personal budget, then it is better to continue mining with low electricity.
3299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins like Monero to mine? on: January 30, 2022, 12:18:48 PM
I wonder if anyone of you guys knows a certain coin to mine that hasn't even reached a year or two? or maybe a coin that can be mined and the rewards are high no matter how low the price of that coin in the crypto market today. I tried to mined XMR nowadays but I was thinking if I only managed to mined this coin in its early years, I would have become a millionaire with just an easy step. I mined Monero with my CPU and it feels like I didn't do anything with my PC though the amount is super low, I don't really care if I can mine the same coin but a new one.
Announcements of coins for mining here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0
No one knows which coin will have a high price in a few years, and which coin will disappear. Look for your future wealth. Today it is much more difficult to do this than 5 years ago.
3300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Its always the cable on: January 30, 2022, 12:10:35 PM
Have you ever seen a riser that stop working before cos I've not, most times it's always the usb cable that follows the riser, changing that will solve the problem instantly unless the riser is a victim of burnt case
In fact, raisers have a lot of problems, and the main problem is not quality production. If you buy poor quality raisers, you won't be able to easily find the cause. You should always have spare raisers for quick replacements.
