3281  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies and our daily life on: March 06, 2018, 12:53:24 PM
When we will use cryptocurrencies ofr our everyday life?

I do not know why are you asking this since there is a lot of people that is using crypto currencies in their everyday life. Not in the sense that they are using it to buy what they need but they use it to gain profit through trading and investing.

In case you are asking it in the sense of using cryptos to buy things from groceries or real store, there are some that accepts bitcoin and there are some apps that let you send bitcoin without transaction as long as you are using the same wallet, at that point you have no problem to send any amount of bitcoin unless that is lower than $1.
3282  Other / Off-topic / Re: Internet and the rise of smart devices, have they really made our lives better? on: March 06, 2018, 09:04:15 AM
The internet is slowly encroaching into every aspect of our day to day lives. AI and smart devices seems to be where the people in tech wants us to go. With the adoption of these things, haven't we made our lives more complicated and harder instead? This clip, a part of the intro of the movie, The God's Must Be Crazy 1 sums it all up wonderfully: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qgs528eZXSs.

This is the opposite of the function of Technology. Technology is the fruit of knowledge, Science and Math. It is made or invented for making our lives efficient and comfortable.

Well, that opening of the Movie has a point but it is also for the good since if there are no people that will be understanding the technologies today, people in the future will be having a hard time to use it and to create another one. We need to adapt to our environment because the environment will never adapt to us.
3283  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 06, 2018, 06:56:22 AM
I think, yes the merit system is helping the forum.

It is helping the forum.

It eliminates spammers and encourage members to post and contribute useful information that can benefit and users can learn from.

But not that really effective. The goal of this new system is for that but there are still a lot of spammers. The root of spams are the Signature Campaigns that are popular in these forum, there are still campaigns so some spammers don't really care if they do not rank up as long as they are reaching their post quota and earning money.

However, I think it's really hard to gain merits because a "constructive / quality" post is based  on one's own perception. So we should really work hard and research some more to obtain it.

If you know some posts that is worthy to be given a merit, you can post it here who knows you might be a source.
3284  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving post quality? on: March 06, 2018, 03:40:30 AM
Read first what is the topic all about. Reply what is really in your heart...express it through a good grammar and quality post. Select word which is common and do not used unfamiliar word. Just be your self in answering the topic.

Though this kind of constructing post do not work out these days(it don't really work but sometimes it is). You must be really knowledgeable not only someone that is expressing your heart, that is just like expressing your emotions and not expressing what you really know.

If you want to improve your post quality, you need a massive information in order for you to give opinions to other members about a certain topic. Reading is the best way to improve our posts, Heart is good to be expressed to your loved ones but not in this forum. Members need knowledge, the reason this site called a forum.
3285  Other / Meta / Re: Adding Merit was the most correct action against spam, let me explain why on: March 06, 2018, 02:52:38 AM
That's true that, there are a lot of people as you said in Jr member rank or maybe a member are writing good posts and didn't get any single merit point yet. The problem is divided into two things:

1- Members write long posts with good English and nice formed, but they didn't get any merit, why? I think here that the content of his post does not deserve a merit point unless he post an original post which it help others or the forum in general.
2- Members write good quality posts which high content and they didn't get any merit points, It can happen because this post is not yet shown to the right person, but if you continue to do the same, you will be merited soon.

You don't even need to separate this two since they are just the same. There are a lot of people that are creating constructive posts but still they are getting any merits since they don't seem to see the post as constructive or a quality post.

There is a lot of posts like this in the Mega Threads which members don't really read the posts but just spams the board to reach the qouta of their Signature Campaigns.
3286  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Celebrity on: March 05, 2018, 06:39:31 PM
Is there any celebrity who use bitcoin?

There is a lot of Celebrities that did invested in Bitcoin. There are actors and actresses, singers or rappers and even athletes.

This is not all of them but it can answer your question.

3287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the future of bitcoin is it good like as past on: March 05, 2018, 05:39:41 PM
The past of Bitcoin is not really great with it's backdoor being found the reason why a lot of bitcoin was made at that time and there is also the Mt. Gox that caused the first ever biggest Bitcoin dump in the history, but after that is the great time of bitcoin. Being regulated in a country, pumping at great heights and many millionaires because of it.

I do hope that I will be seeing an improvement in the future and I also expect a lot of millionaires in that time but I do not think that bitcoin will be the reason for that but because of other digital currencies they are investing and being traded.
3288  Other / Meta / Re: Adding Merit was the most correct action against spam, let me explain why on: March 05, 2018, 04:47:05 PM
Yes but Junior members can’t wear signatures, so they can’t rank up to a level where they can earn money from campaigns.

Really? I guess you can check the Services board and see it for yourself.

Oh, and one more thing, there is also bounty campaigns at the Alltcoin Bounty Section where they even accept Newbie in a campaign. They don't even need to rank up to Jr. Member to earn money.
3289  Other / Meta / Re: Is merit system can be manipulated? on: March 05, 2018, 02:50:53 PM
Reply for the title : Its possible, but will be harder as we have vigilant members too here and if they observe this behavior then you will be red tagged.

PS: Why to cheat when you can earn Merits easily by making good posts. Smiley

That is the problem, they are having a hard time earning or receiving merits because they are also having a hard time making good and constructive posts. I think that is the most common problem of lower ranks these days, well most of them.
3290  Other / Meta / Re: Adding Merit was the most correct action against spam, let me explain why on: March 05, 2018, 02:11:24 PM
As I see some people hates merit, some of them enjoys but usually people don't look further to see more positive sides.

I am not certain if people are enjoying it since there are a lot of members that are not changing despite of the new system, they are just being themselves. But in terms of other members, because of this new system we identify great members that are not really popular before.

For newbies it's hard to rank up these days....

Newbies do not need Merit to rank up to Jr. Member. Please Read. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0

Now imagine, for spammers it will take maybe years to become SR member

Unless they have some friends that can help them to rank up. Reading this, I think it is great to have a list of members that ranked up, we don't need to include the individual who ranked up to Members but the members that ranked up to Full Member and above. Though, I don't know how will we do this.

We have SMAS list which grows and grows, so current spammers will be included in this list in future.

I think with the new System it will be the opposite. People will start to add some thought to their posts so that will mean that spammers will be decreasing and not increasing..
3291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be AWARE. Mobile payment is coming our way. on: March 05, 2018, 05:30:33 AM
Where is your source? there is no mobile payment in my country.

I guess the OP is talking about this one.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/08/china-is-living-the-future-of-mobile-pay-right-now.html
If this is what OP talking about, then this is not a news. These are just mobile wallets, and as far as I recall these have been around for a while like Apple pay, Samsung pay, Google pay and etc. India's mobile wallet market has also bloomed since the demonization.

Well, the OP is relating these Mobile Wallets to the future if bitcoin is the one being transacted. Just read again the post of the OP, I think you are misunderstanding the OP's post.

And I think it is a news since little by little, fiat are being replaced by these mobile wallets especially in China where they state the term "Cash is already pretty much dead".
3292  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Support natin phbtctalk on: March 05, 2018, 02:41:25 AM
May kinikita nga dito, Oo meron.

Eversince the Merit system was implemented, most of the members of these forum are trying to make their posts constructive and worthy of having a merit. Kaya hindi mo pwedeng sabihin na "shitposters" yung andito sa forum dahil mas malala ka pa dun.

You don't need to be that mad about his post, he has a point though he is exaggerating that all of the members here are "shitposters" since there is a lot of members here that is so great posters and so great to be a model and to be followed.

Despite of their ranks, if you will be starting to read other posts you can realize this. But it seems that he is not doing that since he is busy "healing himself, helping others and helping homeless animals".

I don't know but I am not really surprised by these. In fact I thought that China will be the one who will be using bitcoin frequently last year but since they've banned bitcoin, I think mobile payments will be really the next trend and not the card payment. Just to make it clear, that is not bitcoin but just fiat being sent online.
3294  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: March 04, 2018, 07:43:36 PM
this rule is surely good for those who are already high ranks, and they welcome the rules for there will be less user to participate in the bounty to share the stakes, but i also see many hero and legendary members post shit posts, i just wonder if they can get any merits in the following times, the rule is unfair indeed!

This new system is not only for the good of the high rank members but also for the good of the whole forum. It is obvious that the high ranks will always be the one that will be receiving the merits since they are worthy and they are member of the forum for years now so you don't need to complain, they are knowledgeable and experienced (not all of them).

Instead of complaining, why not focus on posting some constructive ones and while you're at it try to improve your English grammar.
And we think they will give a merit to a Newbie, Jr. Member or to Member... keep dreaming guys....

This depends on what does these Newbies and Jr. Members know. I give merit to some posts that I know worthy of that merit despite of their ranks. If you will be checking my merit history, you will be seeing some Jr. Members there.

Not all of the high rank members just give merit to someone since that member is a high rank, they all have their own basis of quality posts and shit posts.
3295  Other / Meta / Re: Answer Question about Merit and find out how to get it for Newbie or Jr.member on: March 04, 2018, 05:12:34 PM
There is a lot of thread about this and you don't need to make another just to receive a merit.

If you want to help other members about the new system, you can just send them this link. You might confuse them reading your post.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0
3296  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: March 04, 2018, 04:37:49 PM
I just wonder that, if I creat a good topic but only Jr.member or lower join how can they give me Merit? (they don't have it).

You can create a great and helpful topic in your local board. Based on how you construct your post, sticking on the local board is the best thing I can say to you.
A thread is viewed by everyone and not only based on your rank, you can't filter a thread just for Jr. Rank Members. If you create a great topic, don't expect that someone will be giving you a merit since not all of the members of these forum are interested and find your post constructive and worthy of merit.

And if I Merit someone, the merit of me is descrease?

Giving your sMerit does not "decrease" your Merit.
3297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Blockchain? on: March 04, 2018, 01:42:58 PM
I think that will be Bitcoin. Once upon a time, there is a lot of digital currency online but none of them is secured enough to stop the double spending. Then Satoshi came, made a digital currency that can't be double spent using a peer to peer network which is bitcoin. The other explanation, you can read here.

http://p2pfoundation.ning.com/forum/topics/bitcoin-open-source

and here

http://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

The blockchain definitely. Bitcoin is just the product and definitely he is sure that it will become the focus someday in the future. The technology behind it is the primary focus and until today, the usage of the blockchain technology is still on its early years.

I don't think that it is Blockchain since he only found this technology a solution for the double spending. And if you will be reading the document by Satoshi Nakamoto, it clear states "BITCOIN : A PEER-TO-PEER ELECTRONIC CASH" not "BLOCKHAIN : A NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR DIGITAL CURRENCIES".

I don't see any flaws here since nullius is just teaching a woman about cryptography. BTW, thanks for sharing this link since it is the best way to learn "cryptography" with a twist, it is yet another great thread from the genius, nullius.

3300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who we are? on: March 04, 2018, 04:05:43 AM
We are Bitcointalk traders
What we do?
Buy top Sell bottom!
More like We are bitcointalk traders what we do? Whenever we receive bounty payments, DUMP IMMEDIATELY! Lol, this is a natural way of many traders here in bitcointalk/bounty hunters. So, whenever I get some from bounty, I immediately sell it and buy at the dip.

This is just the truth. Most of the Bounty Hunters immediately sell their received stakes, it is just a proof that they are just into it because of the money and not because they are supporting the project. As far as I know when they do such thing, the project experiences a dump in prices also affecting the other investors.

I just hope they can realize this since they will be also included in the people that will be having a good profit if they are not dumping their stakes that easily in exchanges.
