3301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What is the highest amount of Bitcoin you earned? on: September 01, 2017, 11:26:52 AM
Since I'm still a Newbie, I just want to know what is the highest amount of Btc you earned? (especially for high rankers). And what are your techniques to become successful?

I'm curious of how much can Bitcoin change one's life Smiley
3302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: September 01, 2017, 10:23:29 AM
Bitcoin is the future of money, or so they say.

I would like to hear your opinions on Why should people use Bitcoin?

People should use Bitcoins because this type of currency is used for fast transactions. This is also advantageous for being less hassle when you're paying or investing, it can be also also used by everyone anytime they want, it's easy to handle and monitor (you only need an Internet connection Smiley ) And the exchange rate of bitcoins are quite increasing faster faster than other currencies. 3303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Kick Every Other Paper Money Out of Business? on: September 01, 2017, 08:57:20 AM
I want us to discuss on this topic. Do you see bitcoin kicking other paper money out in the nearest feature?

I will love to hear your views guys.
I say No for now because because there are still who do not have knowledge about bitcoins or even know it, there are still who contradict to the idea of digital currency.
It's very hard to imagine a scenario where you only want to buy stuff from the vendors along the street and use btc as a payment. I think using btc in that scenario is not very practical. Smiley
As long as people can see disadvantages in Bitcoins, it cannot remove the kind of money that we're using over hundreds of years. Smiley

It seems tt experts say that Bitcoin 'Here to Stay,' But Banks Could Disappear.

"TheStreet: How do you think FinTech will impact the way banks operate?

Frank Schwab: Banks either react on, or they will disappear. Anyway, the consolidation of the banking industry accelerates as the behaviour of people changes. Some banks will benefit from [FinTech], some will be pushed to the back end, and some will disappear."
http://www.thestreet.com/story/13419089/1/bitcoin-here-to-stay-but-banks-could-disappear-says-fintech-expert.html

What's your read on that?

I think it's impossible for now because conventional money is the major type of money that we are using today and banks cannot and will not disappear as long as conventional money is existing. Even Bitcoins are now getting popular and now can be used for transactions, it still doesn't have the power and influence to beat the conventional money that we're using today.
Maybe in the future banks will gone IF bitcoins can surpass the conventional money.

3306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: September 01, 2017, 02:29:06 AM
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
Mankind was always aiming to make everything automatic, to make everything Hi-Tech, and every single way to make our living easier. Since Bitcoin is a digital currency and already used for automatic and fast transactions, it's possible to survive after 100 years or more. There's a possibility that it can be more develop and legalize which can become our main currency that we will all used in the future. Who knows?.. Everything is possible right? Smiley
3307  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Other sections for this forum? on: August 30, 2017, 12:00:24 PM
Ang sabi sa aken, we start with two muna. If needed, we can add more.

To get a perspective, look at the other locals, or other country boards. Tingnan mo yung India and Spanish and German. I can't understand them but look at the board structure.

How about if we implement first Beginners and Help and off topic, and the other boards soon as you said. Sa tingin hindi muna kailangan yun marketplace dahil rin sa population natin dito sa forum.

I agree sir.. sana maimplement yjng "Beginnera and Help" kasi beginner pa ako. I want to know more about bitcoins, particularly yung ways and techniques to earn it. Nakikita ko kasi talaga na ang laki ng potential na yumaman dito. "Kung sila nga umunlad, ako pa kaya Smiley " yan yung nagmomotivate talaga sakin na matuto about bitcoins Smiley
3308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: August 29, 2017, 09:51:18 PM
What are the chances of living in a world with no actual money ?  Shocked
For now, I will say no  Smiley because its still unstable and not yet famous but who knows, maybe it will replace our conventional money in the near future since we're living in Information Age and I believe that it has a great potential to become our main currency Smiley
3309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DARK WEB/DEEP WEB USE A BITCOIN FOR ANY MATTER on: August 29, 2017, 01:10:27 PM
The dark web is the World Wide Web content that exists on darknets, overlay networks which use the Internet but require specific software, configurations or authorization to access. The dark web forms a small part of the deep web, the part of the Web not indexed by search engines, although sometimes the term "deep web" is mistakenly used to refer specifically to the dark web.

Every affair in the dark web will use Bitcoin as a method of payment. In the dark web there are various illegal businesses such as the sale of illegal firearms, drug trafficking, assassins and hackers.

What are your thoughts on this Bitcoin abuse?
Yup! I agree with you  Smiley. The divers in the deepweb use bitcoins in their transactions instead of using conventional money. I think they use bitcoins because it's very practical (it's existing in your computer so it's easy to buy/pay) and it's safe to use in terms that you don't need to have meet ups therefore you are still secured and anonymous.
In addition, I've read an article that it can also used as payment for torturing adult people and even an innocent child.
3310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: August 29, 2017, 12:34:23 PM
Okay, I am just making that headline short and sweet. What I mean is: What is one big dream that you want to realized out of your Bitcoin income? No matter how small or big it is, please share it with us here.

As for me, I have a big dream of having my own 10-hectare farm somewhere here in my locality and I want to stuff that area with all the fruits I can find here and with my main products which are cacao and coffee.

I guess I have this special connection with the soil and the land that is giving us the food and sustenance daily. And who knows maybe years from now I can be able to issue tokens out of that farm...something like AgriTokens or AgriCoins.

Please share your dreams!
If i we're given a chance to have a very large amount of bitcoin, I will buy my dream cars like Audi R8, Lamborghini Aventador and Corvette ZO6. I will also build my dream houses, a modern styled house with big pool, a very cool tree house, and a vacation house in Maldives  Smiley . I will also buy a bus and customize it and use for family roadtrips.
And I believe in the saying "It's better to give than to receive" so I will also donate to home for the aged, orphanages and conduct feeding programs for the poor. Smiley
3311  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: August 29, 2017, 07:55:27 AM

Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Quote
Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/would-you-give-bitcoin-as-a-wedding-gift-2017-06-27

I think using bitcoin as a wedding gift is not a nice idea because it is not yet famous compare to conventional money so there's a tendency that they don't know the significance and usage of bitcoins. Bitcoins are not a sentimental gift also, maybe they will less appreciate it. Instead of giving bitcoins as a wedding gift, try to withdraw that bitcoin and buy something special as well as usefull for them.
