Hurting? Nope. News from India is all good for Bitcoin.

BTCIndia is not all India. If he wants to create yet another alt coin then more power to him. I expect once Bitcoin becomes more stable the people of India will start buying BTC.

People with varying certificates, can you please hit https://bitcointalk.org/cdn-cgi/trace? This should normally 404. If Cloudflare is added all of a sudden, it will return a debug message like: fl=11f14 h=cloudflare.com ip=[CENSORED, SHOULD BE YOUR IP] ts=1388078256.923 visit_scheme=http uag=[CENSORED, WILL BE YOUR USER-AGENT] colo=EWR spdy=off Since there's no way to disable this cloudflare page it would be a good indicator if bitcointalk or any site gets cloudflared without permission. I got a 404 Not Found error (after the bad cert message)

Why are there two different certificates floating around?
Bump, I am still getting this issue. Anyone else? Mods/Admins please respond.

We're going back to the age of Bank Notes where one bank note used to compete with another note. Welcome to age of branded currency and I think rather than accepting another brand we must create our own brand.
There is a lot of logic and sense here. What about logic's in other arguments? Are they without warrant? I was expecting some enlightenment from Bitcoin community for my pre-mature thoughts. I think your last statement "we must create our own" pretty much sumarizes all of your points. And, given this basic idea of creating your own "IndiaCoin", all of your other points make sense. If you want to you can outline what differences you would like to see in an IndiaCoin, or do you think it would just be an exact copy of Bitcoin? Best of luck to you!

Not only will most of us here not help you, we will be doing everything in our power to make it impossible for you to do this.
Seconded. If you're trying to link people's transactions without their active consent and cooperation, then you're working directly against their interests. Good people will be trying to stop you. Good people will be trying to stop me? If you see from my frame of mind then, I'd say bad people will be trying to stop me. I'm just working on some hypothetical concepts here, dude. You might be amazed to know that I got flunked on C++ three times. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) You expect me to go against your community with these skills? I'm just being dreamer here. Chillax!I think he meant good in the sense of "good at math and programming" or "better than you at math and programming" not good as in good and evil. You do need to know that the idea of attaching identities to transactions is a direct attack on the concept of Bitcoin and in fact all public ledger systems. You cannot have both the ledger and the identities be public. Such a system would not ever be used by anybody. Would you use a system where who you are and how much you have and exactly how and where you spend all your money is totally public? I think not. One or the other has to be private: transactions and amounts are private but identities are public (current fiat money system) OR transactions and amounts are public but identities are private (Bitcoin and other public ledger systems).

It is a name mismatch. It is a brand new certificate. The name on the cert is ip.bitcointalk.org, hence the mismatch. The fingerprint is: 5b 3e 9a 8f 37 c8 a9 4c 94 97 8d f5 11 16 7d 44 a2 bc 22 16 Can someone else check their cert for me? The dates on the cert I am getting are 12/24/2013 to 12/27/2014 I also get the same error going through the direct IP https://109.201.133.195

Flip your tablet over, you must be looking at it upside down.
That explains it! Nice insight!

Just give each customer a unique address for each transaction. In other words tread Bitcoin addresses just like invoice numbers and add these invoice numbers to the database information about each customer. That way you know exactly who paid what and when.

What iv noticed is that bitcoin doesn't pick up anymore - its constantly losing value - and even dropped as low as low as 4xx $.
Is the difficulty together with the fbi, china etc news making people leave and give up the coin already? Everyone trying to cash out fast and try altcoins instead.
Yes, you are correct. Bitcoin is constantly losing value. In fact it will soon be worth less than $400 per BTC. This could happen very quickly. The best thing to do is to PM me and I will buy all of your BTC from you. I really want to help you out so I will give you $450 per BTC. I am just glad to be of service.

I don't know about Indians out there. But, I'm gonna resist Bitcoin in India with heart and soul.
P.S.: I'm crazy about crypto-currencies like you all out there.
BCTIndia, Your humor or sarcasm or trolling is over my head. Your username is BTCIndia, you say two different things here. Would you care to explain yourself to us? I personally don't want Bitcoin to grow in India. I don't want Indians converting money into Bitcoin. Simple!
Why is that? You do not want to see the demand, use and price go up?

Physical Bitcoin can to be found on Ebay.
Really? With the properties being discussed in this thread? Please post a link to Ebay to a physical Bitcoin that can prove it contains the private key to me. Something like this: You could can create a non-counterfeitable coin by embedding an NFC chip that will sign a message using the private key.
Thanks! I already own a bunch of those physical Bitcoins that use a holographic sticker to hide the private key. Maybe you are talking about those?
