Manuel is still lucky that for let's say no deal was done with other teams, he can still play and sign a 2 year with Alaska. The message of Alaska was strong; "If there's none (equal value), then he has to decide, come to talk to us again or just sit it out. The organization will move without him. It's no problem." Announcing publicly that he did not want to play for Alaska anymore, backfired on him and he may suffer the consequences on doing that. Looking through Dasmarinas record there isn't any recognizable names. It's been almost two years since he fought someone with a winning record. That fight was an IBF eliminator against an opponent he should have beat easily but the scorecards suggest that it was a close fight.
I do not see a way in which a top pound for pound fighter like Inoue is going to be upset against this type of opponent. With covid restrictions starting to ease up in some places there is still hope that we will see an Inoue-Casimero unification by the end of the year.
TBH, i also not recognized this boxer until his name floated to be the mandatory challenger of Inoue. This is a mandatory fight for Canelo before going to Billy Joe Saunders. Yildirim had a strong left hook and body shot technical but he had a weak defense either. because of that, he got KO in the last fight. Canelo had should know Yildirim uses an inside fight strategy where that makes it easy to KO-ing in the first round.
