3301  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who is ready to have Bitcoin Email Address? on: June 14, 2013, 01:49:14 PM
I want this: 4you@bitcoin.org or 4ever@bitcoin.org or ..com  ..de

Donations will be REQUIRED to get these types of email address.

That's no longer a donation then.
3302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2013-06-13 Latest from FinCEN on: June 14, 2013, 12:48:26 PM
translation is get rid of tin foil hats and chinese whispers. read the regulations about FIAT and realise they can only control the FIAT. so get regulated if you are touching FIAT.

just those innovative teentrepreneurs (teenage amateur entrepreneurs)wanting to exchange fiat for other currencies GET REGULATED.

Sure, just provide the money necessary for the paper-shuffling beaurocracy, time wasted (because time = money) and to cover the alternative cost of having less clients.
3303  Economy / Services / Re: Bank Account in Poland + E-Banking + Visa ATM Card NO LIMITS FULL ESCROW on: June 14, 2013, 10:14:15 AM
Social Security Number is an American invention so you don't need that in Europe. Unless you are an American maybe and some banks may decline to open an account for you due to US weird banking/AML/anti-terrorism/etc. laws. Rules may be different if you are from EU/EEA/EFTA, different if you are outside of these zones, and different if you are American.

If you Ignore someone you can still view content of their post if you click Show/Hide on the right side. You'll have to scroll if you want to see past the first line of the content of a post.

Example:

Disgusting as usual.
These apparatchiks are using the well-being of children as an argument to legitimize the immoral use force of against innocent businesses and people who cannot afford millions to engage in legal Bitcoin businesses.

3306  Economy / Services / Re: Get up to 0.12 BTC a month for your signature! on: June 13, 2013, 07:44:46 PM
I reccommend to up the rates at least to TradeFortress level, you're loosing customers to him. As for me, I might stick here for the prepaid 2 weeks because I need the bitcoin for a video game and if the rates are lower than him then, I'll switch to TradeFortress. I'm just looking for better alternatives that's all.

+1
0.15-0.18 BTC per 2 weeks for accounts over 1200 posts would be good.
3307  Other / Meta / Re: [Request to Mods] Please remove the shameless thread to increase post counts on: June 13, 2013, 07:00:39 PM
Well if you're wondering, I'm not a bot. And I won't spam good topics.
I just found this topic and am playing on it with bitcoinmars, for the moment.

What's the fun in doing so? You are just posting numbers in increments of 1. Even a 12 year old would get bored very soon.
If you like numbers why not at least sit down and try solve one of these problems.
3308  Other / Meta / Re: I would like a name change. on: June 13, 2013, 06:02:46 PM
If you want to sound 'professional' I suggest to just use your real name & surname, e.g. John Doe.

How did you find out his name?  Huh

It was just an example.

If anyone did this in the UK people would be smuggling weapons in seriously or at least marching in the thousands to protest it.

What? UK and ''weapons''? They have the most crazy stance towards anything that can have the remotest possibility of being used to harm another human being. You are basically only able to call the cops so that someone will clean the mess after your guts spill out on the pavement.. I've heard of people being in big trouble for carrying a screwdriver.

I also noticed kodo spamming everywhere, take a look at his stats:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=120293;sa=statPanel

Activity and posts in Russian, Greek, German, Catalan and Romanian sections (there were a few meaningless posts in the Polish section too)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=169001.msg2446172#msg2446172
All he does is copy mai77 post's 2nd line in entirety, probably without even knowing what it means.

In the Catalan thread he asks the people if they speak the language and if Catalan [that's a language] was a colony of Britain [he didn't even bother with an online translator]:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855.msg2445971#msg2445971

tells someone to update their bitcoin client even though that person is running the latest version:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=232303.msg2456468#msg2456468

etc. etc. anyone can see for themselves
3312  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: June 12, 2013, 09:57:56 PM
A single person can win up to ~6400 BTC with one bet, how would the situation be handled if there weren't enough Bitcoins for the winner? How would that person be contacted, or that person receive the rest of the BTC within a few days (or more) that would be needed to acquire them or move from a cold wallet.
Of course, it's also possible that few very lucky people deplete the pool within a few days; I am wondering if satoshidice is in any way prepared for this?
3313  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: June 12, 2013, 01:21:21 PM
Theymos, stop trying to pretend to be managing reputations, but not following through the defensive measures as well.

All feedback should be able to be contested, in-line, and petitioned for removal to mods.

All feedback should be transaction related, and those uninvolved in the transaction should only be able to "comment", not give feedback numbered scores.

I don't really care what anyone's excuses are as to why "this is not necessary", because I know this is the right thing to do and anything else is disingenuous and setting people up for political astroturfing. If you can't see it, it's your problem. Fix it!

I think the trust feature was introduced to make it easier for the Mods (less time spending on debating whether someone needs a scammer tag or whether other users should be warned etc.) and make it easier for the users to perform their own due diligence while engaging with business with someone.
If the feedback is to be moderated this is defeating the purpose it was introduced for..

Thanks, sometimes it seems searching doesn't show me what I'm looking for.

Search here: https://www.google.com/cse?cx=016660200577587308545%3Aesf40ml9aag&ie=UTF-8&q=&sa=Google+search#gsc.tab=0
the default forum search is unreliable.

If I'm having a bad day can I "Ignore" myself?

Only if you used a different account for that.
3317  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Membergroups; or: Why do some users get colored coins under their names? on: June 11, 2013, 06:00:07 PM
Good Explanation.

At USD 100 now for 1 BTC, we still need to donate 50 BTC for VIP?

Yes.
3318  Other / Off-topic / Re: Age of posters on: June 11, 2013, 05:58:01 PM
49% are 50 year olds investing into bitcoin, and the other 49% are 15 year old kids who either scam or think they are captains of industry. The other 2% are the 30 something libertarians.

LOL

Makes me wonder about the average age of miners.

The price of ASIC mining hardware might exclude some of the younger aspiring miners, although BFL Jalapenos are within almost anyone's budget. Script kiddies would probably have to make do writing mining trojans.

As for us old farts, we can usually afford the hardware but by the time it ships, difficulty levels have outpaced our investment. Until my $650 BFL LS arrives (hopefully before autumn) I've shut down mining for the summer. I heat my place electrically and the savings on my heating bill made GPU mining marginally profitable this last winter.

With this year's price increases it's not only the old farts that have the money Cool

There are quite a few polls about bitcointalk users' age:

If you're not longer selling you might want to adjust the title of this thread accordingly.
