Sorry, Tera - not a 'well-researched' article: 'Case in point, coder Peter Saddington, 35, bought a Lamborghini three years ago for $200,000 with 45 bitcoins' And years ago, the price of a bitcoin was....? not sure what price was 3 years ago (can't be bothered to google it) but it sure as hell wasn't $4,444.44. not even in the ballpark. "not well researched" is an understatement. these clueless hacks are such morons when it comes to writing stories about crypto.

Excellent read imo, thanx for sharing. At the end of the day, cryptocurrency miner manufacturers are selling money printing machines. A well-funded profit maximizing entity is only going to sell a money printing machine for more money than they expect they could get it to print themselves. The buyer needs to understand why the manufacturer is selling the units instead of keeping them for themselves.
from a logical perspective, obvious really...

Wow. Is anyone in this thread younger than the Big Mac?
Probably, although I made my first PC rounds on a ZX81 as well. I understand the Big Mac is from 1967, right? Big Mac. January 24, 1984. I'm just barely younger than when the Bic Mac sandwich was introduced and was a sophomore in High School when the computer came out. My first computer was a TI-99/4A. I guess I don't blow my opsec saying I am somewhere in the middle of both of the "Big Macs". My first "real" computer was a 1982 Spectrum 48K... which I still HODL Before that I remember I had a Philips game cartridge console but I guess that doesn't count. And I don't even remember much about it... except it had a "flat membrane" integrated keyboard or something like that. *rest of pc hardware not included....

It's funny guys.
My first "computer game" experience;
My dad brought a state of the art HP calculator home from work. This thing could read (and write) programs on small, like 10mmx40mm mag strips. you would feed the strip into a slot in one side and little rubberized feed wheels would spin up and spit it through and out the other side.
One of the program strips included when the unit was delivered was a "moon lander" game. It was turn based. It would briefly display your speed, range to the surface, and remaining fuel, then you would be prompted for a fuel burn input.
Yes, I did land it that night.
Yes...I am old.
dooode! I remember that! My (late) old man had exact same HP calculator! and yeah, I think I landed it too. (^5)

You smell like shit BTW, you should do something about it.
your device has a smell card eh? interesting... Glad I don't have one, otherwise everytime I'd come to peruse this ridiculous thread for shits and giggles, I'd be overcome with the stink of pure bullshit...

After a very lucky streak in April, still waiting on 1st block for May. Damn! no wonder... I just now noticed my wallet staking wasn't active! Duhh!, well that was annoying. No idea why it decided to conk out, or how long it was out, ftm, but a simple reboot fixed it. I just chalked up the dry spell to bad luck.(balanced out my good luck for April I suppose) Gotta remember in future to always check that the diamond is blue.

With a +7-10% buy premium, people will never use them though. This is not true. People will use them for the novelty of owning bitcoin, or for buying very small amounts. Or because they don't have a better way to do it. But I agree with the spirit of your post. Until these things begin to become competitive they will stay in the general realm of being a novelty. Except for Jimbo....

... now without merits you can't rise in rank and therefore you can't participate in signature campaigns.
who knows, maybe these annoying idjits haven't figured that out yet.

it would be quite useful in this thread to have a "nuke spam" button....

Native Hawaiians don't give a fuck about Mother Gaia, since she is a Greek myth. It's Pele they would be concerned about getting angry. However, per the photo, it appears Pele is quite happy ATM.
not sure I see the resemblance, then again, I'm half blind anyway....

Please do not quote him as everyone has him on ignore. Because we're all jews.
Better yet, quote him really really inaccurately. I bet that will get him going. Especially since he knows that no one will be able to see what he actually said or his protests, so everyone will just assume he actually said it. that's a trolly good idea!

McAfee is reversing his stance on bitcoin all the sudden. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBgFGwJA1D0Why does he have a gun to his head in the video preview. Is he shitting himself this much he will lose his bet for bitcoin to reach $$ by end of the year now? skip to the 48:00min mark for bitcoin talk (or waste 48 minutes ,whatever floats you boat) "No i didnt make a 2018 projection of 78k" (looks away rubs his face) then it cuts to a clip of him making that very projection on that mis-infowars-claptrap show. what a frakking joke that nutcase gun toting clown is...

My grandma is 93 years old, and she was asking me about Bitcorn the other day. That was a bit surprising.
My grandma asked me if I was a big blocker. I said “wait, what?!...You know about all that Bitcoin stuff?!” She said “Bitcoin?? Wtf is that?...and what does it have to do with football?.....”

These type of threads just serve to feed attention to a very lonely man.
And I would also add that after 3 years of posting on a thread spouting pseudo-intellectual nonsense claiming a flat earth, it means you are either the ultimate troll or have some serious obsessive issues...

You can't seem to talk science. Even your links are religious. You are in the wrong thread. dude, quite frankly, I think you maybe are in the wrong thread. Why don't you go spout your "scientific proof for god's existence blah blah blah" ..,."cause, effect blah blah blah" crap you've been repeating obsessively in here for past 4 years, in a real science forum thread where your audience might be a tad more educated on the subject. After all, you got your links there all ready, (that you've posted like ten million times in here.) You never know, you might get educated. (I'm not holding my breath tho...) Me thinks you won't because you know you'd have your ass handed to you. (if not laughed at as just another know it all bible godswill nutjob) That was very unscientific of you. Just like Astargath, you talk against science, but you don't have any science that can refute my science. Come on. Astargath, at least, would say that he has rebutted my science... even though he can't explain his rebuttal. All you do is blab nonsense. You are about as unscientific as they come. If you became organized in your blabbing, you would have the start of a religion. Try it. They say there is money to be made in religion. I'm talking against science by suggesting you go to real science forum and spout your godswill?? unscientific of me? wtf are you on about dude? you did not address any of my points, just your usual nonsense ...no surprise, it's why I don't bother reading your obsessive silly thread here anymore except for the occasional troll and belly laugh....

Another big fallacy/delusion in the crypto community is the following (flawed) theory:
1. Bitcoin is a Veblen good due to its strong fundamentals as digital gold 2.0 and as secure value transfer medium. As it's price value increases, more people want it because it's viewed as becoming more valuable. (True)
2. All altcoins' price are somewhat tied to the price of Bitcoin (somewhat true, basically just a trading bot peg, nothing more)
-- thus --
3. All altcoins are also Veblen goods and are thus perceived more valuable as their price increases (Categorically FALSE! They aren't. 99.9999% are outright scams regardless of price, just as they were since their birth. The rest are just also-rans/ clones of Bitcoin.)
Veblencoin Ann coming soon!
