I am still surprise that Chelsea lose the FA cup to Leicester. I mean, Chelsea was suppose to win the match, but Leicester prove to the world that they are not a weaker team. I believe they will also beat Chelsea in their match tomorrow, which will create chance for Liverpool to get into the Champion League zone, because Liverpool are a point behind Chelsea.
Chelsea's only hope for the season is winning Champion League final against Man City, but it won't be an easy match for them.
Chelsea have lost their last two matches. They lost 1-0 to Arsenal and 1-0 to Leicester. Maybe Chelsea is accumulating all their strength for the Champions League final, or Chelsea is now a very unstable team. West Ham United blew a big chance for top 5 today. I couldn't believe how they get only draw against Brighton & Hove Albion. Moyes didn't even use his substitution rights, we saw only 1 change for West Ham. Why couldn't he give chance to Yarmolenko? Obviously this score is Liverpool's benefit most. Everton and Tottenham can reach same point as West Ham too if they win their matches tomorrow.

So, Sporting didn't managed to end season undefeated, they lost Lisbon derby against Benfica 4:3. I'm not fan of Sporting, but I wanted Sporting to achieve it, it would had made their title even more special. But game was really good to watch, 7 goals scored says a lot about it, I think.
In other game Porto beat Rio Ave 3:0 and guaranted themselves 2nd palce and spot in Champions league group stage.
Yeah, they couldn't maintain their unbeaten streak. But it must be related to their guaranteeing the league title already. It was a really delightful game that's for sure. I think that Liverpool will succeed in qualifying for the Europa League at least. When it comes to the Champions League, their job is really hard against Chelsea and Leicester. But they still have a chance of course. Besides, there is going to be a game between Chelsea and Leicester in 4 days. And this could be a golden opportunity for Liverpool to be able to take the 4th place.
Liverpool have only Premier League and the only mission is taking the fourth position from Chelsea. They don't have any other competition to fight but the latest reaction of Sadio Mane shows the internal relationships between players, players and coach in Liverpool might not be good. Injuries and internal conflicts are big problems in this season. Injury storm might disappear but the internal conflict must be resolved as soon as possible. It is hard to say which team is better for Premier League if they take the fourth position and last spot to Champions League. Chelsea and Liverpool are both strong teams in Premier League and they are competitive in Champions League. I agree. Liverpool's problem was not only the injuries they have faced so far. It looks like there are also some in-team problems which causes them to have difficulties in focusing. As long as they don't solve it, they may have the similar problems in the next season also. Liverpool's problem is not just an injury problem. There is a lack of coordination among the players on their team. I had no idea how close it was! I just checked the last matches and even Monaco still has a chance (but need Lille and PSG to draw or lose, wow). When was the last time Lille won the league, and it's strange PSG is struggling now, I thought they had all the best players plus Neymar now for the best times of his life. 1 more win for Lille, I think this is theirs:) The last two games for Lille are very easy because neither Saint-Etienne nor Angers should create much of a problem for the leading team. The thing is that this is the end of the season and literally anything could happen; there are countless examples of teams that have lost the title at the very last game. I think Lille will not have troubles winning the league but PSG and Monaco wait for only one misstep. Although it looks like Lille's last two opponents are very weak, that may not be the case on the field. Even the weakest team can become terrifying at times. Although Lille is in great form, it will be very difficult for any strong team to win against Lille. Hopefully overcoming all obstacles will win the title Lille this season. Their last two opponents for Lille are not easy opponents for them. The previous match against Saint-Etienne was drawn by Lille. And Lille lost 2-1 in the previous match against Angers. The most interesting matches of this season were played last night. Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş could not win the matches they had to win. They both lost and Galatasaray won. As such, they gifted Galatasaray with the leadership and the Championship. If Fenerbahçe had won, it would have ranked first on the scoreboard. It currently ranks 3rd. All questions will be resolved next week, but I don't think Galatasaray will leave the championship anymore.
Turkish Super League is seems very interesting to me now. Each team will play another match. Besiktas have lost their last two matches. And Galatasaray have not lost a point in any of their last five matches. If Besiktas and Galatasaray lose in the last match, Fenerbahce hopes to win the title. For the last few days I thought the title fight was between Fenerbahce and Besiktas. Galatasaray may have been dropped from the title fight. But my guess was wrong. So, now it's official - Sporting is champions of Primeira Liga 2020/2021 season. Well deserved, what I can say. But they still have one mission remaining - end season without defeats. After all, invincibles season isn't that often in top European leagues. Though, Porto already did it in Primeira Liga back in 2012/13 season. Sporting CP is about to end a great season. They has shared points in only 7 matches and has not lost a single match so far. I hope they will Sharing points with Benfica in the next match, but they will not be defeated. And I think he can easily win the last match against Maritimo. I think Sporting can win against Benfica too. Sporting has already become the champion of primeira liga. I do not agree with you. Although Koeman did not follow the Tiki Taka strategy, he did follow the ball possession strategy. Barcelona keep the ball in their possession, and does not attack. Of the last 4 matches, Barcelona possession the ball more than 60% of the time. And the results have not been good for Barcelona. Barcelona lost to Granada with 82% ball possession. |
