3321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [poll] Guess LTC Price a year from now on: December 13, 2013, 08:34:13 PM
litecoin won't rise a lot in terms of btc, but it will in terms of fiat

This statement doesn't seem to jive with reality or recent events.
3322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] iXcoin Ranked #3 in Network Hash Rate! on: December 13, 2013, 08:27:12 PM
2,992,423.4467 GH/sec

Read it and weep!

just comparing with  PPC ->  a paltry 291,948.5377 GH/s

Just because it isn't your coin, you don't need to hate it.
3323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] iXcoin Ranked #3 in Network Hash Rate! on: December 13, 2013, 08:07:04 PM
Latest network hash rate numbers:  2,992,423.4467 GH/sec  That is nearly a 200 Tera Hash increase from yesterday!
3324  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 13, 2013, 05:52:44 PM
BTW, anyone live in Philladelphia... can you check out if they are legit?
3325  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining Technology (AMT) on: December 13, 2013, 05:51:09 PM
Something smells fishy here. Why do they sell side by side a 520 gh/s miner at 4600$ and a 1.2 th/s at 6000$?? Only difference is for the better price per gh/s you can only pay by wire or bitcoin..

If you think about it,  this is not fishy at all.   The 520 gh/s uses Bitfury and 1.2 TH/s are bitmine.   Clearly there is some logic behind the pricing.

See, AMT is just an assembler.  They assemble parts sourced from Europe (Bitfury and Bitmine).   If they were claiming that they had built their own chip then I would be extremely suspect.

Now Cointerra, HashFast and BFL all claim to have designed their own chips.  Both Cointerra and HashFast have an impressive list of chip designers in their team.   The only issue with them is, when will they deliver?

BFL has delivered before, however hard to trust them on keeping their schedules.

Ixcoin has double the volume of Peercoin now on vircurex.com

does PeerCoin even trade much on Vircurex since it went to BTCe?

Well, at least IXC has 100 times the network hash rate of PPC.

um yeah, you know PeerCoin is not really a hash POW coins but a POS?

So, with POS you get coins for free?
3327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] LAST CHANCE TO BUY IXC UNDER $1 on: December 13, 2013, 04:35:07 PM
When you say, "last chance" - when exactly does this last chance expire?

And what makes you so sure?

Just as it went from 1/2 a cent to 25 cents.

It is likely to 'expire' when the new 0.8.6 client is released.

Look at the stats:  http://www.ixcoin.co/?page_id=80

$1 per coin is not a remote possibility, in fact, there are plenty more coins with worse fundamentals that a priced higher than this coin.

@Thomas

Love the new name. I guess you think we have forgotten the massive premine this coin had?

It was the whole reason I0coin was created.

Thomas Nakasioto is a pseudonym ( anagram of Satoshi Nakamoto).

Anyway,  I'm betting that all these early adopters sold out their coin years ago.   Besides, the price in BTC years ago was higher than it is now!

Update: With the recent Bitcoin release of 0.8.6, we have decided that the first official iXcoin upgrade in 2 years will also be 0.8.6.

This will allow us to quickly update with the much anticipated 0.8.7 version.

For more information regarding the new versions, read http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-fixes-bugs-updates-block-size-limits/

Again, please donate so that we can speed up development.
3336  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 13, 2013, 05:45:16 AM
Ok... I took the bait and purchased two 1.2GH/s miners for claimed delivery on February.

I am making the assumption that they are legit based on the endorsement of bitmine.ch who I'm also assuming is legit.

I also believe that bitmine and AMT may deliver ahead of hashfast and cointerra based on an earlier tapeout date.

Finally, looking at the AMT product line, it's clear that they have existing products that appear to be based on the Bitfury chipset.

These folks appear to be resellers/assemblers for Bitfury and Bitmine, so it is not like they are conjuring up their designs from thin air.

So at this time, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.  After all, what other options are out there?

Folks,

Heads up!   Once we release the 0.8.6 based client with the latest Bitcoin innovations, you will not be able to buy iXcoin for under $1.

So start accumulating now while we still have the new code under testing!

Cheers!
