I just successfully transfered money in using the remaining China Construction Bank account.

Are you waiting until closer to the end of the month to buy? Should be a good buying opportunity right before D-day.
I buy and sell whenever my TA says so - I don't wait for any particular time or price.  However, ever since the China incident, I don't take more than a 75% position, just in case the shit really hit the fan in China while I'm sleeping. Margin is completely out of the question. Once China is completely out of the market or the price crashes to levels where I'm confident that non-Chinese exchanges are actually supporting the price on their own then I will be able to take more convicted positions.

The real fun comes when huobi starts dropping not to due to gigantic dumping, but just drifts down on no volume due to no buying support (or if they stop trading).

Well I bought at Mtgox $915 last night thinking that 300 Buy wall at $900 looks really secure so I can get a good night's sleep. Of course when I woke up today it was already gone. And now we're back at 915...  Undecided

either you manipulate the walls or the walls manipulate you
300 coins is not a wall anyway. That is just someone's buy order. 2,000+ coins is a wall.

I haven't seen a 2000+ coins a wall on Mtgox in quite awhile.
Looks like there's one at $500. There was one on bitstamp at $550 during the recovery.

The weak hands give to the strong hands.

$900 per Bitcoin was too heavy for my limp wrists

Can I quote you when Bitcoin is $2,000?
By then he may have rebought at a lower price and it will be irrelevant.

You short-term guys (kids?) are weird.

Everybody's smarter than next guy...
Well hodling is the easy way out and trading takes some skill and there are many technical details to debate. There isn't really much to discuss amongst hodlers. I can imagine a hodling discussion:

Hodler 1: Hey are you hodling?
Hodler 2: Yup.
Hodler 1: Dude so am I.
Hodler 2: Well I've offlined mine of the exchange! I couldn't even sell even if I want to. They're on my PC.
Hodler 1: On your PC? That's dangerous. A hacker could get it. Mine are on a paper wallet.
Hodler 3: Paper wallet? Please. Mine are on a brain wallet!
Hodler 4: Hey have you checked out those metal firesafe wallets?

I posted this one last night: PSAR and MACD on stamp daily.

It looks like there might be a chance to dump at a slightly higher level though if you want to chance it.

Half million dollars at 820 on Bitstamp.  Uffff.
That's a pansy sell wall, wait for the 5,000BTC ones.

Is Gox a safe place to trade if so, has anyone actually got their money from them when they withdrew?.
I am waiting for my verification to go through, its been about 2 weeks. Bastards will let you deposit coins, but wont let you take them out without verification. Is there anything i can do about this?

Use Coinbase. Far more reliable since it's backed by American venture capital.
No use gox it's backed with silk road money.

3334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone trading bitcoins profitably here? on: January 13, 2014, 06:46:53 AM
I trade very effectively during high volume crashes when there are pronounced and predictable waveforms and my average time in the trade is a few minutes. Anytime else I trade like shit (meaning not increasing btc) when I try swing trade days or weeks during low volume. So next time I double up my btc during a crash I might just hodl afterwards.
3335  Economy / Speculation / Re: No coins and needing to buy back in on: January 13, 2014, 06:39:18 AM
At first I thought "here it is my FUD of all FUDs again. I'll probably kick myself if I don't buy, again". But now the TA is starting to get really, really bad.

Explain.
The price has no longer been following the trendline for days now, and the 6 hour E/MA has crossed down for the first time since the crash.
3336  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: January 13, 2014, 06:34:26 AM
you should sell now
Dude I think you're in the wrong thread.

crossed trend-line, crossing 6h ema
I was wondering where people were getting this picture of an unbroken trendline anyway. I thought we already established that it was clearly broken during the first drop on Tuesday.

The orderbooks at gox and stamp have morphed drastically since the huobi incident. They look like the age of Karhu now.

I opened up my fortune cookie and it read "live by the Huobi die by the Huobi - Chinese proverb".
