They better not do it. They will only ruin someones life. Most likely this is a weakass attention-grab for some no-name writer no one gives a shit about. 30 seconds of infamy, so to speak.

The financial story of our time? That's it?
Cryptocurrency is also the technology story of the century, and the defining socio-political story of the information age.
I say this with no hyperbole, no exaggeration: Bitcoin is the greatest invention since the internet itself.
Just as the internet did, Bitcoin is going to alter our world in ways most of us can't even yet fathom.

Former sex-worker here, just dropping in to say, LEGALIZE PROSTITUTION, PROTECT WOMEN SEX WORKERS!
The rampant, rape, abuse, and theft can be stopped, but it will require accepting that capitalism makes humans into slaves, a concept the capitalists are VERY uncomfortable with.

Seriously, this. The identity of its creator is the LEAST important thing about Bitcoin. Did it ever occur to you that maybe that's WHY he/she/they prefer to remain anonymous? There is great wisdom in this act of humility. Wisdom echoing that of the invention itself.

A recent study has identified 3,000 types of bacteria on dollar bills from a Manhattan bank. If you think that contextless-number is bad, you really don't want to know how many types of bacteria are living in your mouth, or your kitchen sink. Try not to think about that the fact that every time you kiss a date, or your spouse, it's less sanitary than if you were licking the inside of your toilet bowl.

this is what is known in the fiat world as regulation. Yeah, "regulation". Cause that's been working GREAT for the banksters for the past thirty fucking years or so... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Fiat regulation is a joke. Anyone who complains about scams or theft in cryptocurrency is willfully ignorant of the MASSIVE, CONSTANT scamming and theft going on in fiat.

...and really forgot all about it until i checked Silk Road again A friend was telling me that the success of the Silk Road was driven primarily by the perceived relative safety and trust of getting drugs from there instead of getting them in person. It's funny, the war on drugs pushes people off the streets and onto the net (and into crypto), and then the FBI, via the war on drugs, shuts down the silk road and seizes millions of dollars in profits for themselves. What a coincidence. One could even argue that the whole situation was rather convenient for the FBI. But hey, I'm no conspiracy theorist, I just call it like I see it.

I don't like violence, coercion, and exploitation. Therefore I do not like nation-states, and their clown-ass currencies. I do like mathematics and tremendously elegant, simple solutions to problems. Thus, I like cryptocurrency; I like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not a company True. if we do not advertise for it, it will die. False, Bitcoin will exist at least long enough to absorb the collapse of fiat. We don't need to do anything but wait. What's coming is inevitable, because nations and greedy men have failed to change their behavior.

Any altcoin except this one will be fine as a less-than-men-get alternative. Ideally the coin should be worth about 75 bits per the bitcoin. Or some such.

I'm more worried about the professional criminals in our banks, our courtrooms, our corporate HQs, our prisons our schools and our Congress. I'm not so worried about the working-class crooks on my street. My view is: "Your Honor, years ago I recognized my kinship with all living beings, and I made up my mind that I was not one bit better than the meanest on earth. I said then, and I say now, that while there is a lower class, I am in it, and while there is a criminal element I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free." -Eugene V. Debs http://www.marxists.org/archive/debs/works/1918/court.htm"Your Honor, I have stated in this court that I am opposed to the social system in which we live; that I believe in a fundamental change—but if possible by peaceable and orderly means…" "Your Honor, I ask no mercy and I plead for no immunity. I realize that finally the right must prevail. I never so clearly comprehended as now the great struggle between the powers of greed and exploitation on the one hand and upon the other the rising hosts of industrial freedom and social justice." -also Mr. Debs. "Something was in Debs, seemingly, that did not come out unless you saw him. I'm told that even those speeches of his which seem to any reader indifferent stuff, took on vitality from his presence. A hard-bitten socialist told me once, "Gene Debs is the only one who can get away with the sentimental flummery that's been tied onto Socialism in this country. Pretty nearly always it gives me a swift pain to go around to meetings and have people call me 'comrade.' That's a lot of bunk. But the funny part of it is that when Debs says 'comrade' it is all right. He means it. That old man with the burning eyes actually believes that there can be such a thing as the brotherhood of man. And that's not the funniest part of it. As long as he's around I believe it myself." -Heywood Broun, quoting an unnamed socialist in It Seems To Me Newsnight: Paxman vs Brand Full Interview

Nothing is "killing" Bitcoin, OP is either misinformed or trolling. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FRDPz54G.gif&t=663&c=OZShL2my2YMbxA) Look at Bitcoin fiat's exchange value on a logarithmic scale spanning 3+ years, and you will see it's doing remarkably well. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fb8BpN3g.jpg&t=663&c=s4K4C42Cn9hVRQ)
