3321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recovering LTC wallet password on: March 31, 2021, 04:07:27 PM
Maybe bruteforce, otherwise no way unless you have private key saved. Do you have private key saved for that address?
If you know some parts of the password, it can be easy to recover depending on the length of the password.
3322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would it be wise to use domestic and foreign exchanges separately? on: March 31, 2021, 01:41:19 PM
It depends. I use mainly Binance for all if all the coins are available there. If I don't find my desired coin/token on Binance which is very possible because Binance don't list all the project, I have to go to Kucoin and some other crypto exchanges.
But before signing up and deposit money into any exchange, be sure that there’s enough liquidity on the pair you are looking for trading. Otherwise, you may lose big amount.
3323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Kraken founder Jesse Powell mentioned Polkadot as next ETH on: March 31, 2021, 01:28:32 PM
On an interviews of Kraken going public, Kraken talked about Polkadot. Although he didn’t directly said Polkadot is the next Ethereum. He said, "Polkadot is the next Ethereum, many people think."
What do you think? Will Polkadot be able to replace Ethereum or Ethereum will be there and more powerful with the ETH 2.0?

3324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I tried to tell him just HODL bitcoin, don't make this hard. on: March 31, 2021, 11:13:22 AM
It doesn’t necessarily true. He could end up having more worth of BTC. See what happened with me. I have sold my BTC earlier at $31k may be If I can remember correctly. And after that, I have invested all the sum in altcoins and I was able to make 50%+ gain on my previous BTC holding. Don't you think it's good?
Problem with your friend is he didn’t sell in a good time, didn’t pick a great coin and he was unlucky.
3325  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should akash07 deserves to be tagged or not? on: March 30, 2021, 11:56:24 PM
I think better solution is putting a neutral tag on his profile so that anyone interested can see the possible outcome. It’s most probably scam in my opinion too but negative tag? no at the moment.
3326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB still undervalue on: March 30, 2021, 05:42:47 PM
BNB is overhyped or overvalued certainly. If I'm correct BSC network is the copycat of ETH network. So, why would it be better than ETH chain? Well, although BNB isn’t undervalued, I wouldn’t supply if BNB replace ETH in marketcap as BNB price is more centralized and manipulated than ETH. So, in a bear market, ETH will fall faster than BNB and BNB wilo eventually got the 2nd largest marketcap coin.
3327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE - Personal Experience] How to get started with Mining on: March 30, 2021, 05:38:57 PM
If you want to run mining on Solar power, it will cost too much initial investment and this significantly postponed return of investment.
In my hometown, where I'm living, I have plan to use solar panel. In fact, yesterday I have talked with few local suppliers and I need the solar panel badly for my home. After reading this post, I got curious why not I increase the solar panel system capacity and start mining it if it’s profitable. That's where the idea came from.
I can't directly use electricity as they have limit on the supply. Moreover, it will be suspicious if I suddenly consume more electricity than previous. That's why solar is in my plan if possible.
3328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Risk associated with Exchange Native Token/Coin on: March 30, 2021, 01:01:28 PM
If we look at the history of exchanges native coin/token, we can see that they all have pumped huge. For example, BNB, KCS, FTX coin, Okex, BTMX (bad I missed this, I was about to purchase at $0.12).
One thing is certain that they will pump and they are here to stay. They won't go away simply unless there’s a significant damage happen like got hacked or stop their business.

What are the possible reason which you think is risky when you are purchasing an exchange coin/token? I'm planning of investing on exchanges coins once the market is in a bear cycle. Please share the risk of holding exchange native token/coin.
3329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE - Personal Experience] How to get started with Mining on: March 30, 2021, 12:43:34 PM
Crypto is illegal here in my country but still I have opportunities here to start mining as in my hometown, I can be safe and out of any questions from legal authority.
However, I'm still confused on 2 facts.

1. Can I mine crypto with Solar Panel system, if so, what will be the requirement. Say, I'm starting with only 1 GPU.

2. What's the expected lifetime of GPU will be? Will it be the same as we have while we play games? Or if we mine with GPU, expected lifetime will be decreased?
3330  Economy / Reputation / Re: The shameful Romanian translation of Bitcoin white paper from Bitcoin.org on: March 29, 2021, 01:52:33 PM
I remember that Little Mouse said earlier in this topic that he noticed the Bengali translation is not good at all and that he intends to re-make it, but I don't know if he started working on it.
It is on my to do list but due to personal works I have on hand, I can't continue at the moment. But I will certainly look on it soon and translate the necessary part and submit again. There’s one more Bangladeshi who might be interested on this as I saw he is contributing in the forum with some great contents in our local thread. I'm talking about Dtalk. He is doing some good job in the local board so far.

Quote

Quote
3332  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Grab a chance to be a moderator for worldwide crypto community on: March 28, 2021, 05:19:59 AM
Am I the only one who noticed that the description of Bitcoin Discussion board is copied indirectly from bitcointalk.org forum? Great start of a forum. Keep up.

In bitcointalk-
General discussion about the Bitcoin ecosystem that doesn't fit better elsewhere. News, the Bitcoin community, innovations, the general environment, etc.

In talkoncrypto-
General discussion about the Bitcoin ecosystem, innovations, the general environment, etc.
3333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Getting a new coin listed on an exchange on: March 27, 2021, 05:20:40 PM
Binance free? I doubt,
Sometimes they really don’t charge. If I can remember, they have pointed the fee as 0-150 BTC. So, if you are a good project, Binance will list. See the Superfarm listing announcement from Binance, they have listed it in innovation zone and as per Binance it was free. I don’t have idea about secret dealing though which I doubt.
3334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When is Authenticator code needed? on: March 27, 2021, 05:15:01 PM
Coinbase sent me a one time code to use to login after my having been locked out, but I don't know if I will ever be asked for any other code. To clearify, each time I went to login on a different device they sent me a code to use during the login process.
Where do you receive the code? To your number? Then nothing else is required. That's the code I think. And in some cases, if the device used to log in your account is known to coinbase, they may not ask for code.
3335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When is Authenticator code needed? on: March 27, 2021, 04:52:43 PM
Your question isn’t clear to me.
Anyway, if you set 2FA (which you will be asked for with most of the reputed sites), you will be asked for code on every time you log in or withdraw fund. In case of coinbase, I used my number only and I am required to use the code everytime I try to withdraw fund.
3336  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MEW wallet [compromised/hacked] on: March 27, 2021, 04:44:10 PM
Against whom your scam accusation is? It seems like your accusation is against Mew which makes no sense. They always alert you to have the secure way to generate your private keys.
I think this would be best to post in Beginners board so that other people can be aware.
3337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Joining OPEN] [IPL 2021] Prediction pool and discussion on: March 27, 2021, 04:27:09 PM
Royse, can you please display the deadline in the thread? I was confused when today I have seen the watch. I thought you did mistake with the deadline but after coming here, I got the deadline. It may create confusion to others too.

3340  Economy / Reputation / Re: THE TRUST SYSTEM: Are Counter-Feedbacks Counter Productive? on: March 26, 2021, 07:37:17 AM
Two wrongs don't make a right and this goes both ways.
That's the thing.
But still there are some issue. Let's say someone neg tagged an account for things which doesn’t actually warrant a negative. How can the user get out of that tag? To PM the feedback sender? Sometimes some DT members are so irresponsible that they don't care.
The point is unless another DT member acts against that feedback, nothing happen in some cases. So, in such cases, the tagged user are carrying the feedback without doing anything wrong.
Now, if a DT member positive tag the account as counter feedback (which is wrong again but to let other users that the previous feedback isn’t appropriate), something can be done to remove the neg tag. I think this is good for this approach.
