3321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 30, 2021, 09:34:37 PM
I was surprised by the defeat of Manchester City vs Crystall Palace today because I think City are quite consistent in winning match while Crystall Palace are not. I didn't watch the second half for that match and don't know how City should lose, but it's true that Manchester City struggled to score today.
The moment Aymeric Laporte got red carded in the dying minutes of the first half, I knew it was going to be a long day for City, losing one nil and being one man down against a crystal palace side that is ready to sit back and park the bus for 'days', city dropped three very crucial points and I also think they were very sloppy today and weren't sharp to say the least, I'm sure Pep would have expressed his displeasure with the performance, and they have to improve sooner than later as the fixtures are lining up thick and fast. Having said that, is it just me or does anyone else scratch their head and wonder why City spent so much money to sign Jack Grealish, he really looks so ordinary, nothing more than a 40-45 million pound player.

Manchester United will not sell Paul Pogba in January and are fully prepared for the 28-year-old France midfielder to leave at the end of the season for free when his contract expires. Do they perhaps hope that Pogba will change his mind and still stay at the club next season, much like PSG hopes with Messi?
Pogba's situation at Manchester United is a very confusing one to be honest, no one actually knows what both parties wants, but in my opinion, I don't think Pogba has a future in Manchester United, he has never clicked at old Trafford, neither has he been anywhere close to his best, but why he is still in the team is what I can't really understand, United should just sell Pogba and get over with it, he'll not perform at the level they want or wish him to, let him move to another team, that could be the revival he needs.
Newcastle are interested in signing Manchester United's Jesse Lingard. The 29-year-old England midfielder has been linked with a move to St James' Park in January. Newcastle don’t seem to be wasting time and are seriously preparing to continue this season  Cheesy
It could be a good move for Lingard, I say it's good cause he'll get to play more regularly and he'll earn a good amount of money every week, for now he is just a makeshift player at Old Trafford, so it's definitely a good idea if he considers this move, he could start playing as good as he did when he went on loan to Westham last season.
3323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum or Solana? on: October 30, 2021, 07:09:04 PM
Tbh I don't think there is even a competition between which is the better network amongst the two, Solana may currently be considered as a competitor to the ethereum network, but times without number there have been one new competitor or the other and in the end they just fall miles behind ethereum. The Ethereum network has a great ecosystem that continues to develop at a very fast pace, just like Bitcoin it looks more like the only altcoin that can be said to be a good long term investment plan, I'm afraid if Solana is to come close to eth, it'll take them quite a long time to do so.
3324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gearing up for alt season on: October 30, 2021, 06:48:59 PM
Altcoin season is coming, the type we got in 2017 4th quarter to 2018 1st quarter so kindly chill me your holdings, what do you think will be the next 10x coins to hold right now? Low market cap or mid market cap coins?
The thing is you can't be so sure of your speculation/prediction, altcoins could pump in the coming weeks and it's also very possible that it wouldn't, it's up to the investor to do their own research and draw their conclusions if this is actually a good time to hodl altcoins. Having said that, whether low or mid market cap altcoins, I consider them to be short term investments, and you should consider holding them only for the short term, and take ROI whenever you get them, personally ethereum is the only altcoin that is actually sustainable for the long period.
3325  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Stability - Get yourself non ending economic circle. on: October 30, 2021, 01:33:57 PM
The thing is, prolly everyone wants to have diverse sources of income, but it's more of a case of easier said than done, more often than not to have an extra source of income requires capital and it is that capital that most people do not have as they are struggling to cope with the little they earn from their sole source of income.
With the digital era, there are just so many ways to earn the money. If spoken about the crypto space then . .
1) Crypto staking
2) Mining Farm (Very profitable if done properly)
3) Crypto Trading
4) Crypto Investment by HODL (More or less staking without fixed APY%)
5) Work at Forum
All of the above is as well not a guarantee to earn an extra source of income, there are risks involved in them and people should also be aware that in as much as they may try them to make ROI, they could as well accrue losses. Imo, most times the best way to earn extra income is if you have a skill and you're willing to render a service and get paid afterwards.
3326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Ban and the mining exodus on: October 30, 2021, 01:07:17 PM
This isn't unusual at all, China prolly thought their ban would affect Bitcoin for so long, but we already knew the effects of that ban would only last for the short period before other countries start to capitalize and use it for their own advantage just like Kazakhstan is currently doing, with miners finding it comfortable to continue their operation there. I actually don't think there is any sort of regulation or ban by any government that can bring/keep Bitcoin down for too long, if one country thinks Bitcoin mining is harmful and doesn't want it, then another will accept it, it is what it is, business will definitely continue.
3327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia doesn't wants its citizens earning with cryptos on: October 30, 2021, 11:43:59 AM
According to him, Russia doesn't want its citizens to earn money through cryptocurrency so, regulation will mainly stay the same despite the increase of crypto interest in the country
Tbh, it's basically the same thing with many countries today, though some will prolly be more hostile than others, but the thing still remains that they do not like decentralized networks/cryptos, they do not want their citizens to have freedom and control of their funds, neither do they want them to be their own bank, thus that's were such news like this stems from. Having said that, I expect government regulations to continue as far as dex crypto is concerned, but it wouldn't really affect Bitcoin in the long period, all the regulations is just in a bid to dissuade people from using the network and maybe use their CBDC, but quite a lot of people already know the advantages of the Bitcoin network and if the government puts a stumbling block, then they'll effortlessly use P2p service to buy Bitcoin, the government can just contain/control it.
3328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Large SALES Exchange or OTC how do you cashout 500-1million+? on: October 30, 2021, 09:47:31 AM
i have no issues using exchanges, or OTC im not sure which one is better the problem is selling the coins and getting a huge wire to your bank is a little scarey isnt it?
It could be a little scary considering the large amount involved, but personally I think if you're 'clean' and prolly have nothing to hide about how such amount was amassed then just go about it the normal way and when you're asked questions on it by your bank, you would definitely have no problems answering them, just like others have advised, seek some legal advice and ask questions on the repercussions and worst case scenario of the action you're about to take, so you prepare for it.
3329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 28, 2021, 04:51:51 PM
The fact remains that he has to be fired anyway, and he will be. The players stopped understanding him, or don't understand him anymore. In a recent match, he was showing the players something (maybe a tactic, a place on the field, or an action to be done), and Ronaldo just mocked him, waving his arms in different directions, making it clear that he doesn't understand him. From this we can conclude that the players are uncomfortable training with him.
I don't know if Ronaldo's gesture with his hands was actually directed at Solksjaer's coaching methods or if it was just basically out of frustration, and again, in as much as every United fan out there prolly wants OGS gone by now, it's still up to the board to make the final decision, and they are yet to do that. Personally, I think United's players are performing way too poor and they must improve irrespective of who the manager is. Just like their game against Liverpool, their defenders were absolutely disastrous, that's not just the fault of the manager, they have to improve and start playing well.
3330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the fastest way to grow wealth in our present world of digital currency? on: October 28, 2021, 04:06:40 PM
OP you must understand that there is no fast way to make money, even with digital currencies, you may think you can make money quickly, but that would cause you to make mistakes such as not doing a proper research before investing, investing more than you can afford to lose, choosing the wrong coins etc. Having said that, digital currencies are far more than making one rich, you must invest in a coin you believe in, I for one believe in the Bitcoin network cause of the freedom and control it affords its investors and cause it also has an actual use case, thus you should actually select coins that you believe in and not only cause you believe it can make you rich pretty fast.
3331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Sets Record, Faster Than Dogecoin on: October 28, 2021, 03:46:19 PM
Quite a lot of investors have been mentioning Shiba Inu in the last couple of months, thus I think it's the hype that has taken its price this high, but mind you that you should not expect it to stay that way for too long, and the right thing to do would be to take profits from it now that it is has pumped, cause sooner or later the price is bound to dump. I really do not understand the reason for the comparison with Dogecoin, but if I actually did have any of both coins I'll treat them the same way, as a pump and dump coin and I wouldn't fail to take ROI whenever I can cause they are basically short term projects.
3332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 27, 2021, 08:47:37 PM
There are reports that Mauricio Pochettino is the favoured candidate to replace the Manchester United manage Ole Gunnar.
I don't think this reports are true, currently Pochettino seems comfortable at PSG with quite a lot of world class stars at his disposal and Manchester United will know that, thus there is no way they can make him their number one individual to replace Solskjaer. There are just too many speculations on who is going to replace Solskjaer if he gets fired, but we'll have to wait and see, for now, OGS is still in charge, but he wouldn't be for too long if his team do not start winning.
3333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: October 27, 2021, 08:28:03 PM
Even on social media, there are many "Ole out" petitions.
Of course, Manchester United supporters have seen enough of OGS, and they want him fired, but the United board do not want to sack him yet; it's really a tough situation and I think the reason is that Manchester United have used quite a lot of managers in all the years since Alex Ferguson left, thus the board still feels maybe Ole deserves a little more time to see if he could turn things around and produce good results for the team.

Having said that, I feel everyone is just basically shifting all the blames to OGS, but in my opinion the players are likewise guilty, many of them are playing so poorly, and if they play like this under any manager, the results would definitely be the same.
3334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Does BTC growing faster?? on: October 24, 2021, 11:37:18 AM
What makes people chooses bitcoin?
There is no one reason why people choose Bitcoin, each individual or organization that choose Bitcoin has their reason for doing so, some want a hedge, others want an alternative currency; but generally its decentralized form and the control and freedom of funds the network offers is a big advantage and a great reason why people are allured to the network, the government controls quite a lot of things in our lives, including our finances, so a network were users are their own bank is really attractive to quite a lot of people.
3335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 24, 2021, 11:09:32 AM
Liverpool in general have better form and their squad have better quality in balance between defense and attacking. I think I will agree with the odds from sportsbooks.
Of course, no one can argue which of the two teams is in better form as it's obviously Liverpool, but in big games like this with quite a lot of rivalry involved, then form may not decide the game in the end, tiny details, mistakes, one individual brilliance etc could decide todays game and even if United are currently struggling, they could come out this evening with all three points.

Having said that, if Manchester United are to give themselves any chance of being victorious in this game, then they must keep a close eye on Mo Salah, I know every player in Liverpool has their own unique quality, but imo, Salah is currently the best player in the world and he is indeed a game changer, I feel if United can keep Mo quiet, then they have a greater chance of being victorious.
3336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 23, 2021, 09:20:16 PM
No way, Newcastle will have to aim to the top - it's way easier to get a good manager to commit to the club than a good player when the team is bad. Fonseca has shown some good patches as a coach but I highly doubt that he's the kind of profile that Newcastle will be looking at.
I know Newcastle are now rich, but it still doesn't automatically make them a big club, I understand your point and I'm pretty sure Newcastle will hope they can start buying world class managers/players, but that would not happen immediately, they'll have to start from somewhere, just the same way other clubs which experienced take overs by multi-billionaires did (City for example), they will still buy and sack a couple of managers before they finally get it right, so Fonseca might actually be a good option for now, mind you that they do not have the quality of players that can attract a world class manager as of yet.
City again with 3 goals tonight...
The interesting part of City's impressive goal scoring form is that for the most part of last season and thus far this season, they have been lining up without an orthodox striker, that's amazing and I'd not be surprised if they do not go after any striker in the January transfer window.
3337  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation & Supply Chain Issues-How bad is it going to get?! on: October 23, 2021, 03:32:40 PM
First, how bad is inflation in your country..what % is it currently at?  (Here in the U.S. it's between 4-6% on average.  Many items have inflated much more such as seafood being around 20-30%)
It's pretty high/bad in my country at the moment, I do not know the official percentage, but from my personal daily experiences, inflation seems to be skyrocketing over here as things stands now, another thing is, my country was In a pretty bad state before the pandemic and quite as expected the pandemic has made things a whole lot worse. This is another thing to point out, I believe countries that were struggling perviously are in more mess and things will get bad and even worse for them quicker than countries that could boast of a stable economy before the pandemic.
Second, are you seeing supply chain issues in your country and how bad is it?
I'm yet to experience any issues with supply chain, the only thing that's happening is that the contents and quality of products produced are gradually reducing/declining, and I think it's as a result of a hike in the cost of production, well, if things continue in this way then sooner or later they'll outrightly stop the production of some items/products.
3338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking Profits on: October 23, 2021, 01:27:30 PM
I'm not really interested in a short term trade, it's not actually my thing.. it doesn't give substantial profits as far as I can tell. I don't mind waiting waiting years to reap the profit of my investment as long as they keep working assiduously at their backend. So longterm it is for me though.
The thing is, long term investments are actually very profitable when you're hodling a coin that's sustainable for the long period like Bitcoin, since you're pretty sure that Bitcoin isn't a pump and dump coin, thus no matter how long you hodl it and how many correction periods happen during your hodling span, you'll prolly make profits if you're patient enough to wait. But then again, if it's altcoins you are hodling, then tbh, you should only consider holding them for a short period, as I consider majority of them to be short term projects and if you try to stick with it for too long, you'll more often than not run into losses when it eventually dumps.
3339  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: October 23, 2021, 12:20:33 PM
Where would the ad revenue from Bitcointalk Youtube Channel go?
I am not familiar with how YouTube works for content creators, but doesn't a channel need a certain number of subscribers, views, and comments before it can earn commissions from YouTube or from the ads?
Of course there are certain criterias and protocols to be met in terms of subscribers, watch time, etc, before contents can be used to generate/make profits, having said that, I don't really know if Bitcointalk youtube channel would want to monetize it's content, but if it does, then @MNbag there is actually no need worrying about where the revenue accrued will be channeled to, cause i don't think there'll be any set-in-stone way of using the funds, it could be used to improve contents, as incentives, and generally as times goes on so will more ideas come up, and it can then be used to make some of such ideas possible.
3340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To the Moon, To the Moon, Eventually people got bored fo moon landing!!! on: October 22, 2021, 08:55:26 PM
I wonder out of that number how many tokens/coins you know are really real case use of blockchain and tokens futuristic capabilities? I think i heard of only one that is building now.
To be honest, there are only a few of them with an actual use case, the majority are either shitcoins, pump and dump or coins of zero use/value, the thing is, many of such coins still manage to garner interests from some investors because most of them are only looking for short term profits, and pump and dump coins are good for such purpose, but it comes with a high level of risks. Having said that, amongst the many coins in the network, Bitcoin and ethereum prolly looks like the only ones that can be said to be sustainable for the long term cause of the demand/use of them.
