3321  Economy / Gambling / Re: Have you played at 8Bet.io? Please share experience on: January 16, 2022, 07:15:19 PM
I deposited there once and I thought they were not strict on KYC requirements, but was amazed when they wanted a Sms notification for the withdrawals. That in my opinion destroy all your anonymity..so I left my remaining funds in my account.... (less than the minimum withdrawal minimum that was also remarkably higher than other sites)

There are also not enough games to play, compared to other sites I visit on a regular basis.. so there is no reason to go back there. I do not have anything bad to say though..  Roll Eyes
3322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin total supply is not 21M on: January 16, 2022, 04:24:33 PM
What is more important? That it is exactly 21 000 000 tokens or that it is not more than 21 000 000 coins? People want to split hairs over things like this, but it does not make a big difference in the bigger picture. We know it is capped and that there will not be a "toilet paper" printing of new tokens in the future.  Wink

Have you also considered all the tokens that were burnt over time? There are way less tokens in circulation than the 21 000 000 tokens that will be in circulation in the future. (When we are dead)  Grin
3323  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid crisis leaves Sri Lanka on brink of bankruptcy on: January 16, 2022, 12:02:08 PM
When you have a "fake" pandemic with corrupt governments and rich pharmaceutical companies funding them, you have all the ingredients for a economic disaster. Now, I agree... Covid is real and people are dying from it, but most of those statistics are fake. (There are many false positive tests that are feeding the hysteria) [Get your hands on over the counter rapid Covid tests and test with water or fizzy drinks]

The mass hysteria has been fueled by government controlled media and the result was "lock downs" and unnecessary "quarantine" requirements. The smaller countries cannot afford to have long-term "lock downs" and the cracks quickly showed in their economy. Why was this done... Well, a lot of top government officials (kickbacks) and shareholders of Pharmaceutical companies got filthy rich.  Angry
3324  Economy / Gambling / Re: Shady behavior of Duckdice.io moderators and Admins on: January 16, 2022, 11:27:11 AM
Why do people still gamble at sites with a bad reputation? If you simply type "Duckdice.io scam" in Google.. you will find many topics and accusations against their site and it does not even take 15 seconds of your life.  Roll Eyes

The problem is.... some rouge review sites still give these sites a good review and people trust them. If they only knew that many of these sites are owned and operated by casinos. (or the site owners does the review once and they do not update it after these sites goes scam)  Sad
3325  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the best ways to choose a casino on: January 16, 2022, 11:17:13 AM
Any casino can go bankrupt and they can run away with your deposits.. so do not be blinded by their good reputation. I have seen several examples of Crypto casinos that had a great start and they get one or two very large wins and the funds started to dry up.

They then start to find very good ideas not to pay the withdrawals or they simply increase the RTP to make it very difficult for gamblers to win. It is not the same for all casinos.... but it happens with even some of the more reputable casinos.   Sad
3326  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 16, 2022, 10:31:09 AM
Maybe stake needs some more players to bust since they need to pay a lot of monthly to the recents whales.
This aab123 whatever guy wagered 800mil in december alone, thats like 1 mil in monthly at least.

At first I thought MalteseFalcon and aabb123123 were dummy players created to secure the prize of the race I think I was wrong because they are still playing until now
Just look at the username aabb123123 who would have thought he made up such a simple username but high rollers  Cheesy maybe he has the highest wager record so far in crypto casino also the highest VIP level in stake obsidian 1.
Roshtain and Train have Obsidian rank accounts too, his crazy hilo bets made an easy wager to reach this level. Can't imagine his monthly and daily reloads with crazy wager.

Yes as we know Roshtein and Train uses sponsor money so we consider it fake Obsidian  Grin If you want to know the daily reload it's about 1 Bitcoin every day
Because Xposed with Diamond level get about 0.3 Bitcoin daily reload and can't guess their monthly. several times I saw aabb123123 live bets $200k per bet or 4 BTC equivalent all played at live casino roulette, this is the hallmark of a real players never play slots.
Wtf, really crazy amounts for average people but the streamers have to wager it X times since this is why the Stake marketing team keeps feeding them. It is not even ethical for casino gamblers because they also steal our RTP with keep chasing the highest multipliers with unlimited funds. It shouldn't be easier for real streamers, the fake bets made it worse for us, IMHO.

Well, you can also say that the Streamers are "feeding" the jackpots and wins for other gamblers too.... because they chase the highest multiplier.. but someone else might hit it before them. There is no guarantee that only the paid Streamers will hit those highest multipliers.  Wink

The problem is.... they have unlimited amounts of money to wager, so they hit most of the highest multipliers ..which reduce the chance of other to hit it. It will be interesting to know how much of that money wagered...goes back to the casino.  Huh
3327  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you get stronger? on: January 15, 2022, 05:15:11 PM
Well, Money do not make the Man.... and the weak will not make the hard and risky decisions to invest in something that might or might not yield good returns. The early investors had the balls to risk some of their hard earned money in a untested experiment and this was a very high risk decision.

The end result of this was huge returns, but only if they kept those coins. Many of them sold early and they lost the opportunity to make those big profits.  Wink
3328  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: North Korean Hackers Stole Nearly $400 Million in Crypto Last Year on: January 14, 2022, 01:13:41 PM
I think we are seeing the tip of the Iceberg, because these hackers are so sophisticated. The ChainAnalysis  forensics can surely not follow the coins when it goes into Mixer services, so we know some of the stolen coins are not linked to them.  Roll Eyes

Mr Kim Jong-un (Rocket Man) are funding all those inter-continental ballistic missile experiments with the stolen Crypto currencies, even under very strict sanctions. I read somewhere that a fleet of 400 missiles will cost around $95.8 billion ..... and the estimates are that the hackers stole about $1.5 billion in cryptocurrency in the last 5 years. (So they can surely fund a couple of experimental rockets with that....seeing that the experimental rockets does not have nuclear warheads)

3329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any website without a dispute here? on: January 14, 2022, 07:10:00 AM
Is the problem with the casinos or is the problem with the gamblers? Have you ever found any business, no matter how well they are being managed ..without any complaints? I think most people think we live in a perfect world, where everything work 100% and where humans make no mistakes.  Roll Eyes

Everyone have their off days and a lot of these casinos are operating under tremendous pressure with a operation that has to run 24/7 365 days a year. Let's cut these casinos some slack...and accept that mistakes are made... but if complaints are posted and they do not respond or attempt to resolve these issues.... then let's make some noise.  Wink
3330  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Donate] Building rice farms in the Philippines / Funding goal 0.007 BTC on: January 14, 2022, 06:37:35 AM
~

A little shocked that the project focused on making a farm in the country I live. And were shocked more upon knowing that the goal is only around 400USD or 20K PHP, which if tractors and equipments would be bought, might never be enough. A few questions that I still want raise, are the Taxes and the labor fees to those who would make this possible physically are considered in setting the collection goal? Since it is already completed, I think it is not that bad to make a "hard cap" like for the donation.

Good job btw. I think this is a nice way to gather enough resources to create something that would create more money and of course for the people who need it and would work for it.

Well, with a Gross operating budget of about $400 .. I will not expect these guys to have a commercial farm with tractors and equipment. This will be a small scale "hand-to-mouth" operation that will feed about 3 families, if they are lucky. I should say hard manual labor will be the direction this project will be going.

Something that bothers me is the decision making .... You run into difficulty and you decide to use the existing funds to run for the new operation and you spend that to buy food. I know it is a survival decision and most would have done the same, but still...

Have you tried any of the Social support organizations in your country?

Have you ever walked into a brand new casino and you see 3 people gambling and the attendants standing around and doing nothing, because there is nobody playing the games? Well, that is the impression I got when I tried to register for this casino.  Roll Eyes

They have a "Recent Wins" section on their homepage.... Guess what it is saying. Yes, it says : " There are no recent wins at the moment."

So what happens if you are a new casino with almost no activity and a doamin that are about to expire and you have money deposited in there when it expire.  Roll Eyes
3332  Economy / Economics / Re: Tonga will probably be the next country to make Bitcoin legal tender on: January 14, 2022, 05:31:35 AM
Tonga does seem like a mentionworthy candidate for making Bitcoin legal tender but I have also heard more rumors from the southern Americas, especially Mexico. Whatever happened to that? For sure we had been hearing a great many rumors about mexico finally legalizing Bitcoin as legal tender?

Tonga with a population of around 105k won't really compare much to El Salvador with a population over 6 million. How many people in Tonga even have access to the internet and are interested in Bitcoin? I don't see a huge impact. Undecided

Mexico doesn't seem to be anywhere near making Bitcoin legal tender:

Quote
In a press conference earlier today, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador ruled out the possibility of his country adopting Bitcoin as legal tender.

"We are not going to change in that aspect. We think that we must maintain orthodoxy in the management of finances [and] not try to innovate much in financial management," the president said in response to reporters’ questions about Bitcoin.

source: https://decrypt.co/83472/mexico-bitcoin-legal-tender-president

Tonga has an Internet penetration of about 41%, although it's also reported to have 72.5% of it's population in social media. Not very trustworthy number I reckon.

source: https://datareportal.com/reports/digital-2021-tonga

Well, add to that the fact that Tonga only have a total population of about 105,697  people in (2020) ...so based on your active Social media statistics about 31 000 people will probably not use Bitcoin.  Roll Eyes

If about 60% of the people does not have access to the internet, then the statistics are even worst... (About 42 000 people will have Internet and they will be able to use Bitcoin as legal tender)   Sad
3333  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Being charged 10% when sending on: January 13, 2022, 01:23:33 PM
What did you set the fee rate to? You can set it manually... by going to the “Use Replace-by-fee” under Tools menu > Preferences > Fees tab so that you can low ball the fee initially and bump it later on if you need to.  Wink

I once set the fee rate slider to the maximum, without checking the amount of the fee and I paid $1000+ to transfer 1 bitcoin to another wallet.  Roll Eyes  (The Bitcoin price was $20 000 at the time, so it hurt a lot)
3334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - March 5 on: January 13, 2022, 12:40:56 PM
It is a pity when great fights have to go to a decision and in this case the decision of the previous fight was very controversial. Gonzalez defeated Estrada by a unanimous decision in their previous bout.  Roll Eyes

Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez fought the best in every weight class he's stepped in and won. So with a 50-2 track record... he surely have the support for the next fight. (My bets will go to Estrada, because he has something to prove)  Cheesy

So you do not actually own the piece of land, but you own a NFT token linked to a piece of land that might or might not be registered by the local Land registry... right. It is a lot like selling a piece of land on the Moon or Mars, because you will most probably never set your foot on it.

The real libertarians wants real land that are not under government control and profits that are not taxed. Why is this even considered? Is the thinking... "If we cannot succeed with our libertarian goals in real life, we take it digital" ??
3336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Prophesy on: January 13, 2022, 08:06:35 AM
I cannot agree with you more.... I can use a good example :

Many years ago when Dos was still the Operating system of choice, we introduced Pegasus Mail to the people at work and they resisted, saying that telephones and faxes was the only technology that was needed. Now many years after that, people have several choices of webmail and desktop mail and they cannot live without it.

What has changes? Well, people found that email was better than telephones & faxes and the software developers started to develop what the people needed. Now, people can still use Bitcoin.. but there are 1000's of Alt coins for them to choose from.  Wink

Give people something better to use and they will shift to the new technology over time, but make sure that you stay ahead of the inevitable competition that will come.  Wink
3337  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐Bitpunter.io⭐ | List of Licensed Bitcoin Casino and Sportsbooks 🥇🥈🥉 on: January 13, 2022, 05:46:35 AM
You gave high rating for this relatively new casino. And even if they are still in the process of acquiring the Curacao license, you already take their word for it and put the logo of Curacao. If I may suggest, please remove the Curacao license logo at the moment because they don't have one yet. It will mislead some players and we don't know when will they really get the license. The site was also launched last year, and they have no reviews yet in trustpilot. Anyway, I checked the site as you placed it in top 3 with 5.0 star rating along with stake and sportsbet. I hope you are right with your ratings here.

Hi 24Kt, Thanks for the comment and suggestion.

Maybe I should make the Curacao badge a bit blurry  Smiley Anyways removed it for now and will put it back when they hopefully got the license.

On your Home page you list "5 Advantages of Gambling with Bitcoin" and it says :

5 Advantages of Gambling with Bitcoin

Bitpunter Bitcoin Gambling🧛‍♀️ Anonymity: This is the biggest advantage you will get. You do not need to give away your name, surname, address or any of your personal information to Bitcoin sportsbooks and casino sites. As there is no risk of a chargeback for crypto payments, Bitcoin sportsbook and casino sites do not need to verify your identity through boring documentations of your ID or proof of addresses.

I have to disagree with you on this, because I have yet to find ANY Licensed Crypto currency Casino that does not ask for some kind of verification during the Signup procedure. Yes, some of these less popular (unlicensed) casinos does not require verification, but once they grow bigger... they start changing these rules.

You are creating a false expectation about the anonymity in the Crypto gambling scene.  Roll Eyes

Hi Kakmakr, Thanks for your comment.

I think this whole verification thing directed against strict countries like US. I have many accounts at big brands without any personal info. I think most of them are trying to find the thin line between being licensed and therefore doing some kind of KYC to some users and at the same time not asking for personal info from some other users and keeping it anonymous and crypto friendly.

I think this is a good question for the Bitcointalk'ers as well. Which one is more important for crypto casinos? License or anonymity?

Thank you for your honest answer, it is much appreciated. To answer your question about "License or Anonymity" ... I will ask you to go to most of the ANN threads of new casinos and just browse through the posts. When these casinos claim in their ANN that they have anonymity, most users prefer that and if those claims are false.. they will quickly query that.

In my opinion the License for most of these casinos come from tax safe haven Islands to protect the casino... not to protect the gambler. There are almost no cases where licenses were revoked as a result of gambler vs casino disputes. These Islands gain income from the license (protection) they provide for the casinos...and that is where everything stop.

Public forums like this are used to fight disputes and to complain about scam operations.
3338  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: For All Of You That Still Think SMS For 2FA For Wallets Is Or Was Safe. on: January 12, 2022, 11:53:07 AM
I think the biggest threat to SMS verification linked to 2FA has always been a Sim Swap and this is something that is happening a lot in my country. The Banks and other financial institutions are struggling with the exact same problem. There are syndicates working inside mobile phone operators that will assist these criminals to do Sim swaps and that is difficult to stop.

In most cases, these syndicates cannot swap the SimCard, whilst your phone is operational, so they find ingenious ways to get you to reboot or to switch off your phone, so that your cloned Sim card could be linked to another phone. (Tip : Do not switch off your phone, if you are being harassed to do it)  Wink

I have to say, I was a bit disappointed in the movie, "Dune" ...... I am one of those people who played "Dune" as a PC Game and I waited in big anticipation to see if the new movie is going to blow off my socks... but sadly it did not.  Sad

We should accept that Best Actor will most probably go to actors like Will Smith “King Richard” or Denzel Washington “The Tragedy of Macbeth” ...because that is the kind of movies these old farts like.  Grin
