3321  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: November 06, 2015, 06:07:31 AM

Armstrong also notes that "negative interest rates would wipe out the elderly."  NIRP may not wipe them out, but with NO INCOME (or even negative income for cash in the bank), it would hurt a lot.

Like MA says, it will cause the next pension crisis. Will be interesting to see from a personal perspective how it affects the Netherlands system, which is one of the wealthiest pension systems on earth.

Nope, they will not wipe them out.

They will wipe us out, since we who have savings in our banks, will be looted , to pay the pensioners.

It will be massive rationing on welfare, and those who have above the average, will get a haircut Sad
3322  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: November 06, 2015, 05:17:40 AM
more people have access to the internet than people that have access to banking.

this means that even though we won't reach everyone in the world, we will still connect millions (billions even) of people who do not have money or a banking system but do have internet. (Yes, it's crazy, people have no bank account but do have internet, and not a few of them either).

I had internet before i had bank account.

I only opened my bank account to get paid online, otherwise i would jsut used cash.

I hope btc will be more widely accepted soon, having a bank account is a burden and exposes you to many risks (thiefs)
3323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween greetings from the Crypto crypt. on: November 05, 2015, 08:07:52 PM

You target the average joe. I'm wondering what the average joe would drive to use bitcoin. I guess his local dealer wants bitcoins, he heard of the darknet, he has to pay a ransom or so. Since normally bitcoin is geek money and only geeks get in fire when hearing about it. And since the usecases for average joe are very limited i think it is hard to catch him. Probably the use cases are the way to catch them, how the product is named might be second then.

At the end, with Bitcoin we have a pretty perfect name already. It sounds like internet money. We would not need to advertise the crypto aspect.

Exactly. I have some geeky friends, and even they are skeptical of bitcoin since they heard the bad news.

So we have to be populists and target each group with different marketing style, with the goal of raising the demand past their fears of bad news.

This becomes harder and harder with the bad news piling up. But we definitely need a marketing team for BTC.
3324  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: November 05, 2015, 08:05:04 PM
For some people BTC is good to pay for porn related activities. These payments will help them to hide their direct identity revelation.

That's te point. People are ashamed. Bitcoin gives the possibility that when you have to pay for erotic lingerie you can do it without giving your name and credit card number ..

Especially if males buy them for themselves.

Or some other bizarre fetish. People dont want their dirty secrets revealed.
3325  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: November 05, 2015, 08:02:43 PM
If bitcoin will be established.... 1 satoshi will be enough Cheesy

If all the quadrillions of $ of derivatives and the total debt based instruments would be denominated in BTC, then 1 satoshi would be enough.
3326  Economy / Economics / Re: China Behind Bitcoin's Price Rise? on: November 05, 2015, 07:58:44 PM
Probably, but this auction of 44000 BTC is just bad, and could been a prefix market manipulation to dump the auction.

Its funny that the auction took place right on the day where bitcoin spiked. What a coincidence?
3327  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 05, 2015, 07:57:33 PM
De facto: Yes

De jure: No

Obviously the central bank will never admit bitcoin, because its a direct antithesis to them. But if the people want it, they will use it nontheless.
3328  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: November 05, 2015, 07:56:07 PM
Yes, I agree bitcoin can't be the global currencies how about people don't have computers and internet. To the computer shop? they can't spent they time and pay they rent ? And we all know they can get money using faucet at first. They can't even do begging to have BTC. So the point is not all every body can afford and work with this Site. Impossible BTC can be a Global Currencies Just my 2 cents please respect.

The rest of them can use gold coins.

But you have to agree that almost everyone has internet and PC now, or they will have in the future.

Bitcoin might not be global in the next 10 years, but it can be in the next 30.
3329  Economy / Economics / Re: What's The Best Currency To Invest In? on: November 05, 2015, 07:54:10 PM
I`m sorry but the only currency here is BTC that is in my opinion investable.

The USD only needs QE4 (which could happen soon) to go bust. I hold some € just for daily usage, because when the QE4 happens the EUR could go up.

But this is just toilet paper currency, the real deal is definitely BTC.
3330  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you like Pizza? on: November 05, 2015, 07:51:33 PM
I just ate a double cheese, pepperoni, onion , mushroom and bacon pizza.

It tasted really good with a cold cup of bear Cheesy
3331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: November 05, 2015, 07:47:41 PM
Nxt must double its marketcap in order to reach the top ten. Nxt currently has a marketcap of 7.8mln while DASH (at 5th place) hast over 15 mln. It's a long way to go.

It could literally happen in 1 day, if the investors would see the real value of NXT.

The money is there, you just need the demand too.

And the demand is either reached via marketing or via development. (I think the development is ok, we need the marketing)
3332  Economy / Economics / Re: Look at that 24hr volume on Bitstamp on: November 05, 2015, 07:41:11 PM
Fascinating, we almost hit the volume of the NYSE Cheesy

Soon bitcoin will be the biggest financial market in the world.
3333  Economy / Economics / Re: Will btc be the largest online currency used in future? on: November 05, 2015, 07:40:19 PM
what do u think my friends as btc is a digital currency will it replace real currency and become the largest used currency.

It already is, and it is a real currency already.

It just needs more members and merchants to use it.
3334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life on: November 05, 2015, 07:39:39 PM
Openbazar will be another great project that may bring a huge interest into bitcoin and make bitcoin transactions getting bigger,as some people are holding their bitcoins since there isnt a good place to spend them safety and being able to buy anything.

I think bitcoin will forever encourage savers vs spenders.

Savers are more responsible people and saving is what creates wealth , not spending.
3335  Other / Off-topic / Re: To people begging for money ever say please? on: November 05, 2015, 07:38:24 PM
People nowadays feel so entitled.

If you would not give them donations, they would be very agressive and feel like you robbed them Cheesy

Thats what happens when you live in a collectivist world.
3336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: November 05, 2015, 07:32:37 PM
We could see a retracement (in fact we just saw because of the auction)

However I really doubt it will go below 200$ this time. I am confident it could reach 600$ too if we push strong Cheesy
3337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: November 05, 2015, 07:27:52 PM
Done Smiley

Cool, NXT must reach above 8 million market cap so that we can get into the TOP 5.

We need more promotion for it (facebook, twitter ,etc)
3338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: November 05, 2015, 05:18:13 AM
I want to be part of the elite too Cheesy

Let's work hard on this beautiful Bitcoin project!
3339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 05, 2015, 04:58:49 AM
https://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=bitcoin

Trends is looking sharp:

Bitcoin interest is going up so the price rise is a marketing tool itself.

(However a facebook awareness campaign is still needed, not to get labeled as a libertarian ponzi scheme again, I hate when the media is demonizing)
3340  Economy / Economics / Re: America's new debt ceiling - $19,600,000,000,000 on: November 05, 2015, 04:11:14 AM

Or deflation FIRST, then hyperinflation after.  That is a common pattern seen in economic history.  And that scenario is my "working scenario", what I am trying to plan for.

And "they" get a chance to whack you both ways: your stuff is worth less in Round One (deflated), then when you start to hoard CA$H they whack your money in Round Two (hyperinflation).

It is important to remain vigilant and DIVERSIFIED!  Because this will not end well....

Avoid debt too, it's a killer.

Well that is not deflation what you describe. Many economists dont know the definition of what deflation is and i see this in economy shows as well to be mistaken.

What you describe is a pump & dump scheme, deflation is not that.

Deflation is when everything costs less , in parrelel with everything else.

You cant just make wages go down, and then print money to pump up the stock market, you cannot call that deflation. That is more like theft.
